ACCOUNTING VIEW IN MAT-TYPE - NLAG & UNBW

Dear cons
can u tell me is there any accounting view in material type - NLAG aswell as UNBW. WAITING FOR YOUR EARLY RESPONSE. bOTH THE CASES VALUE ARE NOT UPDATED.

Hi
As NLAG means Non stock material but you want to have valuation then for this Accounting should be there.
And UNBW means Non valuated material means no accounting entry related to value then no accounting view.

  • G/L account not defaulting in PO for UNBW material.

    Hi,
Customer requirement is to populate a G/L account for a non-valuated material (Mat type:UNBW) in PO for account assignment category K (Cost center). There is no accounting view for the material we used in PO.
    Following steps were done :
    1) Valuation class is maintained for the material group in SPRO
    2) OBYC settings are done .i.e. Under GBB-> VBR -> Valuation class is assigned to a G/L account
Account assigned PO is created for that material. Account assignment category is K and Material group is also given in PO for which valuation  class is already assigned.
Even though all the settings were made, G/L account is not picked in the PO. Could you please help us

    Hi Raja/ Friends,
Thanks for the reply. G/L account is getting defaulted even without accounting View in Material master for UNBW material (even with material master data). There was a valuation grouping code mismatch ealier,  which we fixed and then the G/L account started defaulting. But there is a new problem now. G/L account is defaulting only in the Development client. This is not appearing in the test client. We checked the configurations, transports etcc and everything appears to be okie and configurations are very similar as that in the development client. Is there anything that we need to specifically check or do while transporting this  ?

  • Add Accounting View to material

I am trying to add an accounting view to a material.  The material type was UNBW so I used transaction MMAM to change to material type HALB.
Now I go to MM01 and the system does not give me the option to add the accounting view.  I know that UNBW materials should not have an accounting view.  It is as if the system does not see that the material was changed from UNBW to HALB.
    Joel

    Hi
to add additional view to the HALB material or any other material type use Tcode  "mm50". try this
    or
one more option is using tcode mmo1
giving your halb material number twice means in material number place and copy from material place
when you enter into material master screen there will be additional tabs of screens which are not filled when you select them it will ask view is not maintained would you like to maintain then  add views. is the same way which are using to add accounting view.

  • Mat type setting for UNBW and NLAG

In std SAP system, For material types UNBW (non-valuated) there is no value update so Accounting screen is not required. But account category reference is assigned. Y it is required.
For NLAG( non-stock), both Qty and value updated are not required, but for this material Accounting screen is defined but account cat reference is not assigned.
Plz whether the above settings are std settings.
My clarification is whn value updated is not required, materia wont need accounting secreen and hence no a/c cat ref is requried.( for UNBW) so we need to define accounting screen for this mat type.
Similarly for NLAG, as value update is not required, no accounting screen is reaquired for mat master.
    plz clarify

    hi,
In addition to the Mr. Pankaj's reply...
You would have noticed that the gr also become the non-valuated when there are n number of the g/l accounts...
The same is the reason here also...as there is no account updated in the UNBW....but on the other hand, there could be qty update....for which the acocunt asignment wuld be required, so that the material may be used as a consumable material...
    Hope its clear....

  • Material type KMAT & accounting view

    Hello All
I have observed that in the standard system Accounting view is not allowed for material type KMAT(configurable material), why is it so?
Kindly provilde your valuable inputs in this regard.
    Regards,
    J K Tharwani

    Hi,
Configurable material is useful if you have a large number of combination of parts that go into a product. It means different permutations and combinations of the parts for same material. If you maintain a unique material code for each combination , you require a large number of material numbers. KMAT may be used in such a case where you maintain just one generic product code. A super BOM is maintained for such a material consisting of all possible alternatives. A routing is also maintained consisting of all possible operations that could be used. Typically configurable material is used in Made To Order (MTO) environment. However frequently ordered configurations may be planned with a material variant which needs to have a material master record. Thus Material variants may have stock and value. Depending upon characteristic values chosen at sales order entry Sales Order BOM is created. Routing operations are also chosen depending upon which BOM components are assigned to them. KMAT material is non valued and does not update the valuation class. So accounting view is not required. Generally FERT material type is taken with configurable tick in basic data 2 view.

  • Creation of Material Master for a material with Material Type NLAG

    Hello Sirs,
I have to create a material which will be consumed directly. I would use the
material type NLAG (Non stock material). If I create a material with this material type, will it contain an Accounting view where in I can maintain the price of the
material? If it contains an Accounting view, which type of Price control should be
used (Moving average or Standard)? Further, can we maintain an info record for
a material with material type NLAG?How the price updation happens?
    Regards
    Yoga

    Hi Madhu,
Thanks for your reply. But, I have one more doubt. For non stock materials, we
will specify the cost centre and G/L account at the time of creation of Purchase order. Then, do we have to specify the valuation class at the time of creation of
Material Master since there is no automatic account determination?

  • Error while creation of Accounting view in background

    Hi Experts,
I am creating the Materials using the Function MATERIAL_MAINTAIN_DARK in my program.
I am passing the pstat as appropriate for the views to be created.
Now, my problem comes When i am creating a Plant view and dont require an Accounting view.
Even if I dont pass the PSTAT for the Accounting view, it gives me an exit message saying 'MBEW-BKLAS is defined as a required field.'.
Please help me solve the issue.
Any helpful answer will surely be rewarded.

    Hi,
      Please follow the below steps.
Creating the Classification View using the Function module 'BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE'.
Check the Class Type and Class Number which you are passing.
Generally it will be Class type - 001 (Material Class) and Number will be ENGINEERING.
    It depends.
But, what you can do is, Check material which has classification data filled.
And just use the same class Type and Class Number Details.
    Try this way.It should work.
To know the Available Class Types refer to table TCLA.
Please let me know, if you want further help.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Can't create free PO with the material which material type is UNBW

When I create a free PO with the material which material type is UNBW , error happens as below:
Account assignment mandatory for material *** (enter acc. ***. cat.)
There is no provision for value-based inventory management for this material type in this plant. Account assignment is thus necessary.
But I use UNBW material type just because it's only QTY updating, and no value update.
So this PO should has no relationship to FI document and any GL account or cost center.
How can I create PO and GR for UNBW material in SAP system?
Please tell me the solution in detail, thanks!

    Dear,
Same scenario i have done in SAP. when we create free P.O then condition tab is automatically remove from the item level.
But Cost Center and G/L account will compulsory. May be because of inventory. Inventory should affect the cost center and G/L account.

  • How to change existing terminals from "view as icon" to view as data type through program

If you have a VI in 2010, you can save it as far back as 8.0.  There is a thread on this forum dedicated to downconvert requests (and on for upconvert, as well).  So post your VI there, and it will probably be converted quickly.
Scripting has existed in LabVIEW since about version 5.1.  It was created to support scripting LabVIEW code in products such as the DAQ Assistant and Motion Assistant.  The first product to use this technology was the Vision Assistant.  However, the early versions are very primitive with limited or no support for common functions (e.g. Delete).  Usually, support was added when it was needed for a project.  Scripting took a huge leap in quality when LabVIEW 7.0 was released, since it is used behind the scenes to generate the code for Express VIs (which were introduced in 7.0).  Scripting steadily improved in quality and features until it was released to general use in LabVIEW 2009.  We are still working to expose all the development time functionality.
Take home message is that you can downconvert your VI, but there is no guarantee that the functionality you have in LabVIEW 2010 will exist in 7.1.  While this is true in general, it is especially true of scripting functions.

  • Accounting View

    Dear Sap Guru,
In MM01 I have maintained the accounting view for Valuation class FERT. but by mistake in the price control maintained Moving average instead of Standard Price
My question is that due to this reason the bill is not made Is it true.
    Please tell me.
    Regards,

    Hi,
In your Sales Order you can check the Item analysis - which will gives you the details of the same.
For getting the Cost of the material, it'll check the latest cost updated (updated through costing run), but in your case it is not standard price and the same thing you are getting as error.
You can change the price control. For this details are as below:
Under certain conditions, you can change the type of price control:
From standard price to moving average price
You can make this change at any time. The moving average price (which until now has
been updated for informational purposes only) replaces the standard price and is used
    for valuation from now on.
From moving average price to standard price
You cannot make this change in the following two cases:
§  If the material master record is set up as a valuation header record for a material
§  subject to split valuation For more information, see Split Valuation
§  If the standard price comes from costing and is not equal to the moving average
    §  price
If the change is possible, the moving average price becomes the standard price, which is
    then used for valuation.
You change the type of price control by overwriting the price control indicator in the material
master record with the new indicator.
Changing the type of price control for a material does not change the value of the material stock,
since in both cases the current price becomes the new price. This is shown in the following

  • MM01 Error - Accounting View

    Hi All
When i create a Raw Material in

System throws an error " Please Enter Moving average for this material"
    Please Suggest

    Hi,
Enter Moving average price of material , if u have slected price control u201CVu201D and then save.
If u do not wnat accounting views  for material creation, then do not select that views during selection of views after entering
    Industry Sector : Mechanical Engineering
    Material Type : Raw Material(ROH)
    Note:
Generally Moving average price (price control u201CVu201D) is used for raw material & for semi finished and finished goods for Standard price procedure (price control u201CSu201D) as moving average price in case of external procurement and standard price for in house production. But its all depends on business requirements.

  • FERT materials costed without error even if Accounting VIew is not maintain

    Hi Gurus,
    Please help with  this scenario.
in our client, they were able to run cost estimate for FERT materials even if accounting view is not maintained in the material master. in my understanding, costing run should generate error report that accounting view does not exist. Please advice.
    Thanks!

    Dear,
    Use T.code OMS2.
Select Material Type & Click on detail button.
See the quantity / Valuation area TAB.
    In Valuation Updating heading :
In No Valuation area button should be selected for Non value-added material.
Accounting view is mandatory for all Valuated Materials in material Master.
From valuation class it will fetch GL of material type to valuated material.
From Standard Price it would fetch price for STD cost estimation to run.
    Hope above will useful.

  • What is the use of split valuation Accounting view

    Hi
What is the use of split valuation Accounting view.is it compulsary to give for every materisl?
    regards
    Ashok

    Hii Ashok,
The SAP R/3 System allows you to valuate stocks of a material either together or separately, that is, according to different valuation criteria. Split valuation is necessary if, for example:
    1. Stock from in-house production has a different valuation price than externally procured stock.
    2. Stock obtained from one manufacturer is valuated at a different price than stock obtained from another manufacturer.
    3. Different batch stocks of a material have different valuation prices.
    4. Value damaged and repair part differently from a new part.
To used split valuation, you have to activate it using 'OMW0'.
To change split material valuation once it has been set, you must
    1. first post out all stocks (for example, to a cost center or with movement type 562)
    2. then change the control parameters
    3. if necessary, change the automatic account determination
    4. finally post the stocks back in again
In split valuation, you can distinguish between partial stocks of a material according to certain criteria and valuate them separately.
The material stock is divided according to valuation category and valuation type.
The valuation category determines how the partial stocks are divided, that is, according to which criteria.
The valuation type describes the characteristics of the individual stocks.
With the function "Setting" you can determine:
which valuation categories exist in your company (global categories)
which valuation types exist in your company (global types)
which valuation types belong to which valuation category
which valuation categories exist in a valuation area (local categories)
Your entries are only relevant if you set split valuation as active in the function "Global settings".
In the standard SAP R/3 System, the following valuation categories are default settings :
    B procurement type
    with the valuation types:
    "EIGEN" for in-house production
    "FREMD" for external procurement
    H Origin
X automatic valuation (only for batch)
To select split valuation ('OMWC'), proceed as follows:
    1. Determine the valuation categories and valuation types that are allowed for all valuation areas:
global valuation categories via menu "Goto --> Global Categories"
global valuation types via menu "Goto --> Global Types"
    2. Allocate the valuation types to the valuation categories.
    a) Select "Goto --> Global Categories".
    b) Position the cursor on a valuation category and select
    "Goto --> Global Categories --> Assignments --> 'Types->Category'".
    c) Activate the valuation types you want.
    3. Determine the local valuation categories for each valuation area.
    a) Select "Goto --> Local definitions".
    b) Position the cursor on a valuation area and select
    "Goto --> Local Definitions --> Allocate Categoires->Org.units (button Cats->(OU)".
You obtain a list of the global valuation categories.
    c) Activate the categories to be used in this valuation area.
The system creates the local valuation types based on the allocations under point 2.
Only now can you create a master record with split valuation.
    Regards,
    Kumar
