Hi Joshua,
class-map match-all VS_WEB1

You have applied
"service-policy input HTTP_MULTI_MATCH1" in VLAN 200 and 210 but as per the config I believe it should be applied to VLAN10.
interface vlan 10
description ***LAN LEG***
ip address 10.0.0.66 255.255.255.0
no icmp-guard
access-group input INBOUND
no shutdown
Can you apply the service policy in VLAN 10 and let me know the result.

I've searched..... I cannot figure out why my VIPs do not ping. I have two vlans that both replay to a ping on the interface IPs. And I'm new at this, thanks in advace.

There is no more L4LSBPOLICY nor L4VIPCLASS, Thanks a lot for looking at this...

I have been trying to understand some issues in my internet connections.
If I do a traceroute to say, netflix.com I and get this rather long response:
The 10.0.1.1 is my airport and I can ping it successfully.
the 10.126.20.1 appears to be in my router, based on the IP, but it does not respond to a ping (timeout).
and
209.148.243.165 appears to be owned by Rogers cable, but also does not respond to a ping. The remainder seem more or less reasonable.
Can someone tell my if there is a reason the two above IP's do not respond to ping? Does this imply something is wrong in my part of the network?
I am a TSI customer who uses the common carrier services of Rogers Cable and I have been told my modem is faulty even though internet access, not withstanding the above questions, works well.
The modem is a Thomson DCM476. I am able to ping its IP, however the tracerout does not include the above IP's
Can someone please lead me in the right direction?
Thanks
Barry

My guess at the 10.126.20.1 address is that this is indeed the IP address of your router on the WAN side ... and, as you surmised, it is being provided to your router by your ISP via the Thomsom modem. This looks like a case where the ISP has assigned you a "Public" IP address on their private network. That is, your router does NOT have a Public WAN IP address. This usually is not an issue unless you needed to run servers on your local network that required access from the Internet.
If you are sure that Rogers is supposed to provide you with a public WAN IP address, then either they are not or the modem is faulty as they have indicated.
The second IP address, in question, 209.148.243.165, is indeed, assigned to Rogers Cable. This may be one of their DNS servers for further routing of your traceroute command request.
BTW. It is NOT unusual for owners of networking devices on the Internet to block ping requests. -
ACE VIPs not advertising or visible
Hi,
The VIPs on my ACE configuration are not advertising themselves. They don't show up in the ARP table in the upstream router/firewall.
The VIPs are configured to be "Inservice". I have probes that are successful. I can access the real servers behind the ACE successfully via pings, ssh, http, etc.
Here's part of my config:
policy-map multi-match int204-n2
class SMTP_Inbound_LB
loadbalance vip inservice
loadbalance policy SMTP_Inbound_LB-l7slb
loadbalance vip icmp-reply active
Is there anything else I need to add? The VIPs aren't responding to pings. The VIPs aren't showing up in the arp table of the upstream router/firewall.
I know there used to be a "loadbalance vip advertise" command, but that command is no longer valid or available.
I am running code version A1.8(0) on the ACE 4710 appliance.
I have this ACE also configured as a bridge. Is there something special I need to add to make the VIPs advertise themselves, respond to pings, etc.?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.Hi Gilles,
Yes, the policy is assigned to both VLAN interfaces of the bridge-group.
Yes, all VIPs show INSERVICE when I run the command "show service-policy int204-n2"
None of the VIPs are responding to pings or showing up in arp table of the upstream router/firewall.
The VIPs are part of the local subnet. I can't ping the local interface (BVI interface) of the bridge-group from the upstream firewall/router.
Yes, the ACE has an arp entry for the upstream router/firewall. The upstream firewall is also the ACE's default-gateway for this context.
Thanks,

My iPad is frozen with the message not enough storage. Options are close and settings but it will not respond to buttons and will not allow me to turn it completely off. How do I get past that message?
Delete some apps, files, photos, videos, movies, etc to free up some space.
How much space is your Other using? You may be able to reduce.
How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

Illustrator "Not Responding" on load and save
Good evening..
We bought a new computer our graphic designer (HP Z400 quad-xeon 2.66GHz, 16GB ram, Quadro 4000 graphic card), installed with Windows 7 64-bit, set it up with the Adobe CS 5.5 Master Collection.
The problem is with Illustrator, whereas it goes to "Not Responding" on load and save of files. The progress bar when saving stops at 5-10%, but it seems like it's still doing it's thing and it eventually goes through (15-45secs). However, I really hate getting this kind of message, moreso because his current desktop (HP XW4600, Win XP 32-bit, 3BG of RAM, Adobe CS5) is not doing this at all.
I looked a lot of the forums, and tested what was offered and it still isn't better.
- I removed an Add-On I had installed, no luck.
- Removed all network drives, no luck.
- Unchecked "Create PDF compatible file", no luck.
Working locally is the same as on the network, which makes me believe the network is not a problem in my case. (Even switched from 100mb network connection to 1GB, which was the first thing I tried)
Mind you, all these things I've tried were done in addition to the others, so even to total of all these wasn't helpful, and I'm still at square one.
I'd like to add that all the other applications in the suite are behaving correctly, Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign... Everything else is working great and not freezing at all. Which is why I find this wierd that Illustrator would act like that while all the others are fine.
Anything else I should be trying?
Jonathan
Edit: I checked again on his previous computer, and it seems the issue is there as well, unlike what I mentionned before, which might point to a problem with Illustrator itself, since between CS5 and CS5.5, Illustrator hasn't changed. Altough I'm not sure if it may be that the old computer is just *that* slow...Well, it has the Adobe PDF printer (from Adobe Acrobat) and MS XPS Document Writer (from Office), but since they weren't real printer I hadn't mentionned them. Is this what you consider Virtual printer?
Either way, I've added a printer but it's still doing the same thing. -
I can't launch Safari. When I right click on the icon, the "Application not responding" is grey and no matter what method I use to Force quit, I get no response.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart the computer, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Imported video not responding in IOS and mobile devices
Hi there
I have done this interactive graphic:
http://ing.dk/infografik/grafik-se-de-graverende-fejl-paa-kampflyet-joint-strike-fighter-1 74989
But the video does not respond in IOS and is very slow on iPad.
What could be wrong? The video is a MP4. Should it be set to preload?
Hope for your answer/advice.
MartinThat is the problem of html5 video in mobile.
It does not preload and does not autoplay.
It can only be played by a direct user event action ( like click )
There are no work arounds for this, and its made so people on mobile, do not waste there mobile internet on videos.

ACE: VIP Out of service, Still accepts TCP connections
Hi Guys. I am looking at a issue with an ACE. SW is 3.0(0)A3(2.6)
We have a setup where most of it appears fine. It detect the loss of rservers, probes fail, the VIP stops responding to Pings, but it still accept TCP connections, even though there is nothing behind to accept them.
The question is, is this correct behaviour? and if so is there any reference I can look at to confirm?
While this behaviour is inconvenient for us. I can see why it may actually be correct.
Thanks,
Paul.Hello Paul,
This is expected behaviour for L7 LB connections:
The 'down' VIP will reply to SYN requests, but will then send a RST packet.
This is because the ACE doesn't know what to do with the L7 connection until it has been build up. Only when the L7 connection is 'open' we notice that all the vserver which could serve this request are down.
So it is correct and expected, but not exactly desired. It's just a side effect of the design. So far I do not known of any plans to change this behaviour. However similar limitations have been addressed in the past, like: CSCsq17137.
Hope this helps, Peter -
My Ipad2 has a message: Ipad disabled connect to itunes. The trouble is I am out of the US now and cant connect to my my home mac or any computer it is synced with. What can I do? I cant even access the serial number to contact apple. Help!
Call Apple anyway. If the device was ever registered with then they will have the serial # on file and can look you up by other info such as your name or phone number.
To re-enable an iPad any computer with iTunes should work. However, if your data was not backed up to iCloud you will not be able to access it until you get back to your home computer. -

Just bought my ipad and cant connect to my home wifi trying to do initial set up.
My wifi is working as my macbook runs off it..any ideas?1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again, this will refresh the IP address of the iPad.
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
3. Try changing router security e.g. WEP/WPA/WPA2
4. Have you updated router firmware? -

Hi, I have an aging PowerBook G4 17 inch (3 years and 3 months) which is still good and fast enough for my needs. Last year the display and motherboard were changed which cost me some money so I would like to hold on to it for one or two more years.
