Acheive both Options: BPM restart and Raise Exception.

Hi All,
I have a requirement in my current project in BPM design.
In case of any application errors or system errors the BPM process should fail at the step and the exception hadler should catch the exception and information should reach the end user as an Alert.
But I am facing problem in acheving both the objectives.
1.If an exception is occured an alert will be triggered using the control step and the BPM will be successfull and will not be available for restart.
2.If I am deliberately not handling the exceptions inside the BPM ,it will fail and the BPM will be avaialble for the restart but this time alert will not be triggered.
Can any one suggest me an alternaive way out for this requirement?

I have faced similar requirement before.
I don't know this will help or not.
What we have done is when we get exception, the generated alert message was passed to a data type that do an RFC call to PI system. Which in turn generated the alert messages as email to the concerned people and generate a response message that creates dummy message. Which fails the BPM. We came to know the error received in so that it can be rectified or restarted. This fulfilled my requirement.
We used the similar method to get rid of message queue when bulk messages entered and restarted automatically

Jailbreaking your iPhone forfeits your ability to receive any support on that phone, including from this forum.
You'll have to search elsewhere for answers to your issue.

Can you make and receive calls and texts? If you can, I wouldn't worry about it. If you can't, you may need to call Verizon. However, try this first. The 4S has a Vodafone SIM card in it for foreign travel. Try taking the SIM out and doing the *228 again. Once it activates properly, you should be able to put the SIM back for safe keeping. It's not used in the U.S.

BPM: How to Raise Alert and Restart together ?

The requirement is like this.My Integration Process receives a message, performs a 1:N split and undergoes further processing using Transformation steps. I want to ensure the following in case any one of the Transfofrmation fails(Because of some coding error in the step):
1. Raise an Alert
2. Should be able to restart the Process again from the
   failed step once the Transformation code is fixed.
3. To raise an Alert for any file adapter level errors,
   and to restart the processing of the message once the
   file adpter error is resolved
I have tried the following approaches, but it does not help me achieve all of the above condition.
I have put the Transformation step in a Block and introduced an exception branch with one control step which raises an Alert.
Issue: This will raise an alert when the step fails, but it ends the BPM with a Processed status and hence I will not be able to restart the BPM.
So I put another Control step immediately following the Alert step which raises an exception. However I have not handled this exception. Hence when a step fails, I am able to raise an alert as well as the BPM gets errored out.
Issue : However, now when I restart the process in swf_xi_swpr, The process restarts with the Control step which was used to throw exception. It does not restart with the Failed mapping step.
To raise Alerts for Adpter level errors which might occur before the message comes to BPM, I have defined alert category and rule in runtime workbench. However, the Alerts are not triggered when the file adapter fails.
Please share any ideas on how to achieve all the 3
requirements together.

I was facing a very similar problem in my BPM modelling.
Is there really no other chance than to loop (and maybe wait some time) over the critical (e.g. networking down, ...) parts of the BPM to have some active notification via alerts AND a possibility for retry?
In my opinion this would a very inflexible way of doing error-handling stuff - if so - is it about to change in the upcoming releases?
Currently I guess I can have:
a) either ALERTING (by catching exception and raise alert)
OR
b) convenient retry mechansisms via "SWF_XI_SWPR" (by not catching exceptions at all and let the relevant block become "errorenous") ...
Any other suggestions ...?

Spotlight starts indexing after every restart and there is a scrolling delay with both mouse and track pad.

I had to restart my MBP three time, two after it crashed. Every time Spotlight starts to index the content on my Mac
which takes two hour. Then there is a delay when I start scrolling, both with the mouse and with the track pad.
I also notised that after changing the icons with Candybar they still appear unchanged in Launchpad, which makes
it confusing. Launchpad isn't consitent when putting the apps in aphabetic order, but jumble up some of the apps.
i don't get back the wab sites after restart as i was to believe I would.

Well one more might OK, there are more bugs then that, but I to tired to tell them all.
I have never found so many bug in such a short time (only in two hours with Lion now) with any other OS and I have worked with Macs since -91.

Hi, me again, more data.
I have found that some plugins are accessing the internet without my permission.
And when I went into the plug in menu via the addons options through the Tool Menu option, I found the plug ins there.
BUT I never installed those plugins, and now they are there and they are accessing the Internet. Here are two images to show the plug ins disabled and yet another image showing them still accessing the Internet even when disabled.
I then removed them from the system (I did back them up first, just in case).

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Hrm... that may be true and this may be a function of the phone email client that Apple just doesn't do.
No, I can easily MANUALLY delete the messages. I would prefer if I didn't have to do it twice, tho. Once on the mail server and once on the phone.
What I think the phone needs to do is, when it checks the POP, anything NOT there should be removed locally. I think you are correct on POP; the phone will poll the mx (mail exchanger) and the mx will pass off the messages to the phone. The phone then keeps ALL of that unitl you manually delete it.
If, say, I remove a message from the mx, I would like the phone, when next polls, to see that that particular message isn't on the server anymore and remove it locally.
Perhaps it's just me but if I delete the message on the mx itself, via my ISP's webmail interface, I really don't want to have to remove it again from my phone.

I tried to instal lion but my iMac says "install fail because hard drive is damaged and can't be repaired" and my only option is to restart and it immediately tries to download it again, won't let me back to any other screen. Is there anything I can do?

I'll guess that you're upgrading from Snow Leopard? You should be able to start using your original install dvd by inserting the disc and restarting while holding the C key. Run Disk Utility from your install disc and try to repair the drive. Then try the upgrade again.

Both the 'delete' button and in the menu options do not delete messages but change them to unread. How can I remedy this?

I have tried to fix it by deleting the trash / deleted files as suggested in another thread but it made no difference. The delete key still works to delete things outside of Thunderbird (including here for example).
I have not uninstalled / reinstalled. I have rebooted a couple of times and it hasn't made any difference.
I did go through and delete a huge number of old emails a few days ago, but I have cleared out the Deleted folders and it made no difference.
All suggestions appreciated.

Right click on any of the other right panel headers in Slideshow module to open the context menu. You should be able to reactivate the Options panel from there.

Error in Raising exceptions in a method and handling the same in the WF

Hi All
I tried to implement Raising exceptions in a method and handling the same in the workflow
in the same way given in SAPtechnical site .
1.by adding a error msg in exception parameter .
2. if the select query fails, to fetch the agent then :exit_return 9001 'ztable name' space space space.
3.in the Background activity in which this method is called there automatically one outcome appears ,and I hav acitvated that outcome and in that done what need to be done for that error handling - just send a mail to concern person .
4. in the normal outcome of the activity , the step to be executed are there .
but its not working , if exception come then the WF stuck there only . it do not follow the exception outcome .
Kindly help me , How can I do the exception handly in WF.

I don't think that's quite right.
If you define an error/exception in a method, it is automatically mapped to an outcome of the step/task.
If you activate that outcome, then you can handle the exception in a branch of the workflow.
For example: 'Remote connection is down, please contact Basis'
The step should only go into error if an outcome occurs that you have NOT activated.
So the original question is valid. Please give some more information on what the error message is..

Timeout in control step(raise exception) of BPM

All,
Does timeout in the above control step means
> The typical inactive timeout i.e. while using collecttime pattern, if IDOCS keep coming, the process is going to be active until the point there are no more IDOCs coming and then the exception time window starts kicking in (inactive)
OR

Im supposing here your scenario is multiple IDOCs to 1 receiver, is that so? For example, n IDOCs to file.
So, suppose you define, in BPM, the max number of loops (as per CollectPattern example) and also you define a deadline in surrounding Block step. After the block, you have relevant steps (for example, transformation step to execute mapping to file expected structure; and async send step, to send the message to file receiver).
While an instance is running, it will be receiving IDOCs which satisfy the correlation you set in BPM. As soon as max number or deadline is reached, the IDOCs in that instance will be mapped into a file and that file will be sent to receiver system.
Whenever new IDOCs arrive, they will be gathered in another BPM instance, and hence they will be sent in another file to receiver system.

IPhoto09 Export has both a "JPEG quality" and a "Size" option

In iPhoto09 Export has both a "JPEG quality" and a "Size" option. What is the difference? iPhoto Help does not clarify. Size seeems to constrain the size of photo on screen, and it is not stretchable. 300 dpi no matter what options are selected.

Jpeg Quality is the amount of compression applied to the file.
Size is the dimensions of the shot - length by breadth - measured in pixels.
There is no dpi setting, nor any default setting for dpi. Dpi is sent when you decide the dimensions of the photo when you print.
