Ack Requirement

Hi All,
I have two scenarios. 1. IDOC to File 2.File to IDOC. My requirement is to get the acknowledgement in both the cases.
1. Scenario (IDOC to File) – I have ALEAUD message type for Source and user defined message type for target.
2. Scenario (File to IDOC) – I have user defined message type for source and ALEAUD message type for target.
Can some explain me step by step to configure the above scenario? Please…..I have “How to configure IDOC Acknowledgement” document.
Best regards,
SMD.

Hi,
This ALEAUD will help us like an acknowledgement for sender sys that saying that the idoc is successfully sent to XI in case of IDOC---File scenario.
If you need the Response from the File sys to IDOC means we shld use BPM for this

  • Handling Functional Acknowledgement only in case of transaction exception

    Hi ,
    We have requirement to acknowledge client with only exception transactions. How can we handle this with B2B?
    I have used the Functional Acknowledge concept wherein for Acknowledging EDI transactions, we are using Control D3 message format and moving the acknowledgement message to another JMS Queue.
    But the acknowledgements/Control EDI messages are getting generated for both success as well as error cases and there is no way to distinguish between them. How can I restrict this to only Error cases.
    Basically flow is like EDI Message Format --> JMS Queue --> B2B
    --> (in success case) XML generated in B2B_IN_Queue (no ack required)
    --> (in error case) generate CONTRL D3 message and send it to another JMS Queue.
    Pls help.

  • Acknowledgement messages

    Hi Everybody,
    I'd like to get a suggestion on how to implement this scenario:
    FILE ADAPTER -> XI -> R/3 (ASYNC ABAP PROXY)
    My issue is: I need to have an application ack on XI, driven programatically by my ABAP code inside the R/3 inbound proxy.
    1- I read that somewhere in the outgoing message from XI I should set an "ack required" (header?) attribute... but how do I do that?
    2- Can I work with "fault message" somehow?
    3- ... other ideas?
    Thanx guys. Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Alex

    OK, I tried also this code right here...
    data: rettab type bapirettab,
          ret    type BAPIRET2.
      ret-type = 'I'.
      ret-id = 'MESSAGECLASS'.
      ret-number = '101'.
      ret-message = 'Messaggio di informazione 1'.
      append ret to rettab.
    TRY.
    CALL METHOD cl_proxy_fault=>raise
      EXPORTING
        EXCEPTION_CLASS_NAME    = 'ZXILAB_CX_FMT_DUMMY'
       APPLICATION_LOG_HANDLE  =
         BAPIRETURN_TAB          = rettab
       ADDITION                =
       AUTOMATIC_RETRY         =
    CATCH CX_AI_APPLICATION_FAULT .
    ENDTRY.
    ... but no luck. The message in XI shows an green question mark icon in the ack column that says "Still awaiting acknowledgment"... Suggesting that I should get an ack when everything goes well, too. The R/3 system simply doesn't issue any ack, as if it didn't see the ack required tag in the header...
    Thanks.

  • IDoc Acknowledgement -  ALEAUDIT for partner type B

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where ALEAUD ack required for partner type B instead of LS.
    What are the ways by which i can configure ALEAUD ack for partner type B?
    Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi Anurag,
    ALE AUDIT is the technique of using IDocs for communication.
    ALE Audit it is used to check the cross-system IDoc flow and posting the data in the partner system.
    please gone through this related blog blog , it may be helpful for you.

  • ASN Create Option

    Hi,
    I am using MM-SUS Scenario. Done All the settings and Replicated vendor from ECC to SUS (BD14)
    Created PO and can see the Idoc -XML Transfer. The PO is confirmed from SUS and is reflected in the ECC.
    Now when I am trying to create the ASN  from SUS (ASN-> Create ASN), I can able see the PO but the "Create ASN" button is not visible.
    Not able to create ASN ifrom SUS.
    The confirmation control and Ack required is maintained in the PO.

    You must start Adobe Acrobat, not Adobe Reader.

  • B2B Sizing

    Can anybody point me to a sample sizing and deployment of B2B and the ebxml adapter.
    I am looking at a system transmitting up to 20,000 messages per day using http. Initally 2 trading partners and I do not anticipate message files to be larger than 15K
    Any help appreciated.

    Hello,
    B2B's ebXML adapter can be deployed in a HA env to handle this load.
    Please note that factors like message size, whether security (encryption, signing) is enabled,
    whether sync ack required can definitely will have an effect.
    There are government sectors in Canada which have deployed ebXML and been in production
    for some time. Please contact Jeff ( [email protected]) you need any specific details.

  • 6120XP to 6248UP Upgrade - Port remap require chassis re-ack?

    According to the upgrade guide, step 14f, a chassis re-acknowledgement is required when you change the FC port mapping.  Can anyone confirm that this is valid?  I ask because at this point in the steps the server ports are still down so no chassis is technically connected so why would a re-acknowledgement be required?  It says a chassis re-acknowledgement is disruptive and I thought an upgrade from a 6120XP to 6248 would be non-disruptive.
    Any clarification would be excellent.
    Thanks,
    -Jason

    Hi Jason
    I think this comment is very misleading.
    I don't know a single UCS installation that is using LAN and/or SAN pin groups.
    The only reason to do a chassis ack: if you change the server ports connecting the IOM in the chassis.
    No chassis ack necessary if you change FC uplink ports assignments.
    Walter.
    Step 14   (Optional)Remap UCS 6100 fabric interconnect FC ports 2/1 to 2/4 on a N10-E0440 expansion module or any slot 3 ports onto the new fabric interconnect expansion module.
    Use UCS Manager to delete the ports on the subordinate fabric interconnect that you will need to move within the configuration.
    For each port you have just deleted, create new ports on either slot 1 or slot 2. These ports must use the same port type definitions as the old ports, but will use different port numbers.
    For recently moved Ethernet server ports, reconfigure the associated service profile to use the new port number for the appropriate LAN pin group.
    For recently moved uplink Ethernet ports, reconfigure the port channel settings to use the new ports.
    For recently moved uplink FC ports, reconfigure the associated service profile SAN pin group to use the new ports.
    Re-acknowledge chassis for blade servers and fabric extender for rack servers.This will be disruptive to traffic, but is necessary in this specific scenario.

    I think you're making this way, way harder for yourself than you need to.
    Building an entire .plist via the XML tools is hard. Writing it as text is easy, so I'd go for the approach:
    -- setup the XML preamble
    set XML_header to "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC \"-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN\" \"http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd\">
    <plist version=\"1.0\">
    <dict>
              <key>Label</key>
              <string>user.watchfolder.imageSLabel</string>
              <key>ProgramArguments</key>
              <array>
                        <string>osascript</string>
                        <string>/Users/user/Documents/LabelFiles.scpt/</string>
              </array>
              <key>WatchPaths</key>
              <array>
    set XML_footer to "          </array>
    </dict>
    </plist>"
    set element_pre to "                    <string>"
    set element_post to "</string>"
    -- get the folder list
    tell application "Finder"
              set theFolders to folders of (path to desktop) as alias list
    end tell
    -- build a list of XML elements, one per folder
    set XML_elements to ""
    repeat with each_folder in theFolders
              set new_element to element_pre & quoted form of POSIX path of each_folder & element_post & linefeed
              set XML_elements to XML_elements & new_element
    end repeat
    -- now combine the data
    set plist_data to XML_header & XML_elements & XML_footer
    -- finally, write it all out
    set XML_filepath to (path to desktop as text) & "my.plist"
    set XML_file to (open for access file XML_filepath with write permission)
    set eof XML_file to 0
    write plist_data to XML_file
    close access XML_file

  • Ack from SAP R/3 to file..

    Hi,
    We have a requirement in our scenario like this where in we are posting the PLM data from Windchill to SAP R/3,
    From Windchill we are getting the data as an XML where we can read through file adapter and in the SAP side we are using RFC adapter to connect with SAP R/3, After updating the data in the R/3 we need some acknowledgment from the SAP R/3 system whether succesffully uploaded the data or not.. is it necessary to use BPM if so how can we get ACK the BPM's basically sends response when it delievers the data from XI server.
    Can any one suggest the solution..
    regards
    Kishore

    Hey,
    You don't need to use a BPM for that..
    Do this way..
    Create two synchronous message interfaces...
    OUTbound---give file as your output message and input message as your acknowledgement structure...
    INbound---you don't need to do because your RFC acts at interface level..
    In interface mapping use these too...and map between file structure and RFC request(sources)...and map between RFC response(have some data for ack purpose) and RFC response(target structures).
    Configure file adapter at sender side and RFCa dapter at receiver end.
    Hope this will do.
    Thanks,
    Vijaya.

  • Issue while handling the functional ack(CONTRL) through B2B

    Hi,
    My requirement is to handle the incoming CONTRL message through B2B and send the data to SOA/AIA application and update the CONTRL data in table. For that i have done the following settings in oracle B2B.
    Functional Ack handled automatically : false
    Functional Ack internal properties : false
    Notify Inbound Receipt Acks     : false
    Notify Inbound Functional Acks : false
    I am able to update the data successfully in the table for the successful scenarios. But if the transaction is failed in SOA/AIA application due to some error then it is creating 2 entries of MSG_ERROR in reports tab in B2B where as it is creating only one entry for MSG_COMPLETE state.
    Please guide me if i am missing anything here. I am getting below 2 errors for 2 separate entries at the same time.
    1)
    Error Code     B2B-52325
    Error Description     Machine Info: (elb1cn14.statoilfuelretail.com) Description: Error in the SOA Composite {0}
    Error Level     ERROR_LEVEL_COLLABORATION
    Error Severity     ERROR
    Error Text     Error in the SOA Composite
    2)
    Error Code     B2B-52325
    Error Description

    Error Text     Error -: B2B-52325: Error in the SOA Composite {0}

    But if the transaction is failed in SOA/AIA application due to some error then it is creating 2 entries of MSG_ERROR in reports tab in B2B where as it is creating only one entry for MSG_COMPLETE state.Are you really sure that you are seeing three report entries for SAME transaction?
    I guess B2B listening channel is trying to retry the same file in case of error.App message delivery is not retried in B2B rather failed messages are delivered to the IP_IN_QUEUE. Please enable the logging for B2B engine in TRACE 32 mode and run a test to reproduce the behaviour. Post the log here or mail across to my id (in my profile).

  • How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B

    Hi Friends,
    How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
    External Trading Partner is sending the EDI 856 via AS2 URL to our Oracle B2B Server.
    In the inbound 856 agreement, we have checked the option of Funtional Ack and also Functiona Ack handled by B2B is yes.
    We have the outbound agreement which is sending that Functional ack 997 (auto generated by oracle b2b) and we have specified the Outbound AS2 channel of the Partner.
    997 doc is being sent to external partner using AS2 channel, but the filename is generating as '40101'.
    Please can you let me know how to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
    Appreciate your valuable answers!!
    Thanks,
    Amirineni

    Amirineni,
    AFAIK, there is no option to set the file name when the 997 is generated automatically by B2B.
    Alternatively, if this is a must requirement, you can generate the FA from backend and  send to B2B with MSG_TYPE =9. In this case, you can set the header with filename (How to set the actionname property in B2B 11g)

  • Asynchronous, but need Ack without using BPM and IDocs.

    Hi Experts,
                     I would like to do a scenario i.e., "Asynchronous communication, but need Acknowledgement without using BPM and also without using IDocs whether it is sender side or receiver side". Please help me.

But the alternative way is to add one more receiver in the receiver determination and send some file to that location with the actual mapping getting executed for the actual receiver. and in the second interface you can get the file created at second receiver back to the source location. But this will be little long as compared to synchronous scenarios.
    Flow:
    Source
              Receiver 1--> Actual mapping as per requirement
              Receiver 2(For Ack)--> Create a mapping with blank file sent to Receiver
    Receiver 2-->File Adapter--> Source through 2nd mapping/interface and keep the File adapter pooling interval around 5 sec or less so that you can get the file back to source location.

  • MM-SUS Scenario: Order confirmed but No Order Ack triggered to XI

    Hi,
    We have configued ECC(MM)-XI-SRM(SUS) for Classic scenario.
    When new PO is being created in ECC, the same is getting posted in SRM and we could see in the SUS portal. Upon Order Confirmation, the Order is moved from <b>"New/In Process"to "Confirmed" orders</b>. But no message(PurchaseOrderConfirmation_out) is being sent out of SRM system.
    How will this message get triggered?
    Regards,
    Siva

    HI,
    in one my earlier implementation, we have done similar scenario. In that case , we will send the PO information to SUS. But we did not have confirmation scenario.  I think, it is better to check out in the SUS side i.e go to transaction SXMB_MONI in SUS to check any messages. Provided , I think, SUS is sending this ack thru porxy.
    anyway TO know more -
    https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/ibc  -->go to mySAP SRM and find the required scenario.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    moorthy
