Acknowledgement for R/3 - XI scenario (IDOC)

I am sending MATMAS04 idoc to XI and I need to get the acknowledgement back.. I am following the steps as in this weblog,
/people/saravanakumar.kuppusamy2/blog/2005/01/20/configuration-tips-for-a-business-serviceintegration-process-to-send-back-ale-audit-idoc
Do I need to go to R/3 and update BD54 with the logical system name, that we attach to the business service? (I am not doing that currently).. I just put a logical system name (not same as business service name), creating receiver agreement to send from business service back to R/3
i am getting 'acknowledgement not possible ' icon.. but when i look at the details, no error flag is raised and the acknowledgement idoc is not created..
Am I missing something?

  • Acknowledgement for JMS to File scenario

    Hi,
I want to receive an acknowledgement that a file has been successfully written at the target and wonder if and how an acknowledgement could deliver this information.
I've read that the receiver File adapter cannot generate a transport acknowledgement but will deliver one when requested.
I've seen the blog where you define this in a BPM.
I've also read that possibly the REQUEST message can contain an acknowledgement flag but I do not know hoe to set this in the SENDER JMS channel.
So how do i do this? Am I still limited to a BPM or is there another way (without BPM) in which I can request this acknowledgement?
    Thanks
    Tom

This is not possible. BPM won't help you, as the ack message was only between BPM and file, but not in full message flow.
A sender JMS adapter cannot request an ackk message.

  • Technical Acknowledgement for the message ORDRSP

    Hi
This is a vendor Management Inventory scenario (VMI).We have XI setup between SAP and 3rd party system.
We have a requirement where we are receiving ORDRSP IDOC (Inbound) message from 3rd party system via XI into SAP whenever stock falls below threshold level it creates PO in SAP MM .
Now we want to send technical acknowledgement for the same whenever successful idoc ORDRSP is posted . There are no contents of this acknowledgement message just it means IDOC is "Received".
    How can we do this.
    Regards

  • Vendor Acknowledgment for PO using Inbound Idoc.

    HI,
I have a scenario, where we send the PO to the supplier through Idoc, which is sucessfully recieved, when the supplier tries to send the acknowledgment for the PO through Idoc the Idoc fails with an error message "Confirmed price cannot be set in document conditions" - A condition type with condition category 'd' is not included among the document conditions. I am using message type as ORDRSP. Can any one please tell me where i would have gone wrong in the settings.
    Regards
    JJJ

    Hi,
As per my assumption If the IDOC is recieved with the Error status. There shouldn't be  any problem with settings. Please put the break point in the Inbound function module and test the IDOC in Tcode WE19 and try to find out from where the error is.
Please let me know if you require anything else.

  • Sending Acknowledgements for IDOCs

I have reviewed the document "How To... Handle Acknowledgements for IDOC" and "Configuration Tips for a Business Service/Integration Process to Send Back ALE Audit IDOC".  These don't seem to work for the situation I have.
We have two R3 systems sending IDOCs to XI, one located in the US and one in Germany.  The above documentation (from what I can tell) expects you to only have one R3 system.  For example, when setting up the Adapter-Specific Identifiers, there is only one spot to enter in the Logical System or R3 System ID.
Is there a way to set up IDOC Acknowledgements if you have more than one R3 system that can be sending IDOCs?

    Hi Larry,
for each R/3 create one business system service. Depending of the control data in your idoc (you can examine the sender R/3 system in the IDOc header data) create different receiving systems.

    hi friends,
My scenario is to create a Purchase Order on Client A and through the Output Control I need to create a Sales Order on Client B and send the Order Acknowledgement(ORDRSP) for the Corresponding Purchase Order.
Iam through upto creating a Sales Order but when iam trying to send the Acknowledgement using the Output Control
    Iam getting an error :
Confirmation control key missing for PO item .
when I attach a Confirmation Control Key while Creating PO
It is giving an error :
Acknowledgment for PO item contains quantity variance
    Please respond quickly.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
check both IDOC, the ORDERS and the ORDRSP, whether they contain the same quantity.
Maybe the SD-part is rounding up your order, e.g. you order 5 bottles of wine and the wine is only sold in 6 bottle packadges.
If you find my answer useful, please don't forget the reward.

    2. Anybody has blog for 810 or Dispatch Advice (IDOC type DESADV).
For 810 i think the procedure would be the same but themseeburger mapping program that validates the ANSX 810 would be different. As far as 997is concerned 997 is a functional acknowledgement. Its a genric format that is used to send acknowledgement for any EDI transaction set that has been sent.
    3. Can anybody provide me Mapping Logic (at field level) done in XI/PI for 850, 810 , Dispatch Advice (IDOC type DESADV) .
The logic will be based on the trading partner guidelines which will contain the description of all the semantic and syntactiic description about the segments ,its feilds.we need to consider the guidelines and target side specifications too while mapping.

  • Party in a scenario IDoc -- XI -- File.?

    Hi folks,
I have a scenario IDoc <> XI <> File. Some IDOCs are LS, KU and LI type. Do I need a XI party to configure this scenario?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ricardo.

    Thanks for the quick answers
Remember that I also have File -> XI -> IDoc.
But, I still don't understand how SAP backend can distinguish the same IDOC for different partner types, ex. ORDERS05 type LS and/or KU. When the IDoc arrives the backend how it knows which type of IDoc is dealing?
    Cheers,
    Ricardo.

  • XI Business content for MDM - Syntax error in IDOC adapter

    Hi mates,
I'm trying out the Master Data Harmonization scenario for Vendor data with R/3 as the client system. I'm using SAP delivered XI Business content for MDM. The mapping program is generating ADRMAS and CREMAS IDocs but the IDOC adapter reports that there is a syntax error in ADRMAS IDOC. Find below the details.
    <i><SAP:Category>XIAdapter</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_IDOC_METADATA</SAP:Code>

Strangely, the control record is blank. I looked at the XSLT program, it is coded that way. I do not understand the reason. Is the error pointing to the control record?
Look at the code sample from XSLT mapping program
      <xsl:for-each select="IDOC/*/E1ADRMAS">
           <IDOC BEGIN="1">
<!-- The header data of each single ADRMAS-IDoc needs to be there but does not require specific data -->

                <xsl:apply-templates select="."/>
           </IDOC>
      </xsl:for-each>
How can an IDOC w/o control record be posted?
Did anyone come across this error? Whats wrong/missing?
    I appreciate ur inputs.
    thx in adv

    Moorthy,
I tried reloading the IDOC metadata from IDX2. Still I get the same error.
Regd, IDOC w/o control record, can u elaborate on "dynamic value while posting IDOCs". From where, XI message SOAP header with Business System replaced by corresponding logical system names?
    Thanks

  • Acknowledgment for PO item 4570051408 00010 contains date variance

    Hi Exerts,
We are doing stock transfer from one plant to another plant in different location using outbound and inbound process.
we are created outbound delivery by providing batch numbers and processed PGI, but while creating inbound delivery we are facing some proble.
i went to MB0A and checked VIA handling unit and given delivery number after all while saving it is throwing error " Acknowledgment for PO item 4570051408 00010 contains date variance " please let me know why this error is coming, who to resolve this.
Also needs step by step process of STO with outbound and Inbound process.
    This will helps me lot
    Thanks
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
I saw that your problem was not answered and thought of posting a reply. Acknowledgement for PO item XXXXXXXXX occurs due to the mismatch between Deliv. Date in Purchase Order and the Posting Date.
For Example, If the required delivery date for the Purchase Order is 08/31/2010 and the posting occurs on 09/01/2010 through IDOC, then you will be seeing this error.
Change  Purchase Order ( TCode ME22N) - modify required delivery date to the date on which you are posting 09/01/2010 (for example) and save it. Reprocess the IDOC in error (Tcode BD87) and post it. Verify the stock and ensure that it has been posted.
       Hope this Helps.

    Srinivas

  • Can you plz tell m how to write Design Strategy in the scenario IDoc-- File

    Hi,
can any body plz tell me how to write Design strategy, Preprocessing logic and post processing logic in the scenario IDoc-->File.
        My idoc is:
                Message Type: ZMMIPORDCHG
                Basic Type  : ORDERS05.
    lookup's are available.

    Hi,
take a look at this document for an IDOC to IDOC Scenario,

  • Scenario IDOC to JDBC

    Hi experts,
    i've scenario IDOC to JDBC:
    the interface receive two idoc's:
    IDOC1: 1field1, 1field2, 1field3
    IDOC2: 2field1, 2field2, 2field3
and give the data to only one table in the receiver, ie, the table is equally filled by the contents of both idocs,
the data in this table must be storage by follow:
    field ->       field1        field2        field3
    values ->    1field1      1field2      1field3
                     2field1      2 field2     2 field3
¿how can i do this whe i realize the mapping ?
¿Is it possible, or it's better to use two interface, one for each idoc?
    very thanks

If both the idocs are of same basic type, then you may perform Idoc packaging at the sender side. Due to this you could receive idoc at XI with multiple Idoc nodes having data from different idocs. Then you may map directly till node level and achieve the output.
If the type of idocs are different, use two interfaces or go for BPM to collect.

  • Reg:Efficient solution for a data upload scenario

    Hi All,
            I have the following task.
Required  data from a legacy system(generate  data only in the form of flat files)to SAP R3 as FB01 journals and the output file should be generated periodically(daily, weekly, fortnightly etc…)
    Solution Approaches:
1)Write a BDC program to extract the data.
    2) Write a ABAP Progam to populate IDoc (if standard IDOc is available) or generate a Outbound proxy (If standard IDoc is not available) to push the data into SAP XI.
Could anyone  tell me which would be the the best and efficient approach for this task and need your recommendations.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Lavanya,
Required data from a legacy system(generate data only in the form of flat files)to SAP R3 as FB01 journals - use BDC for this thing because it will be better for large source files.
the output file should be generated periodically(daily, weekly, fortnightly etc…)  - if this output file contains acknowledgment for the data uploaded by the above process, create a ABAP report for it and schedule it..........but if this output contains some other IDOC data which you need to send as a file to a third-party system, then go for SAP XI provided the IDOC data is not too large... but if the IDOC size is huge, then just create a ABAP report for outputting data to a file on application server and FTP the file to third-party system.

  • Check Connection of Communication Arrangement for SAP ERP Financials Using IDoc Failed

    Dear experts,
We are checking outbound connection from C4TE to ERP in Communication Arrangement for SAP ERP Financials Using IDoc Failed.
We get the attached error message:
    Checking connection failed
Error accessing service; Service Ping ERROR: Forbidden (403)
What could be the reasons, in ERP side, through Tcode SMICM, we didn't see any log from C4TE side, and we cannot ping the ERP side successfully.
One more thing, in C4TE, we tried to set the connection to an SAP internal ERP system, and the connection was successful. But when relinked to the customer ERP system, connection failed.
    Could it be firewalls reason?
    Thanks!
    Best regards,
    Wendy

    Hi Wendy,
Yes the assumption could be one reason as well for the error (403 forbidden), but there could be several other aspects also to get the 403 error, for better understanding the reason for the error,  may I request you to create an incident send it to us.
Also please try once running the scenario in C4T and check if the relevant documents are being sent through Outbound Service or not.
    Thanks & Regards,

When the IDOC is run in the foreground I get the information message Subsequent function  " 'Purchase requisition from sales document' not possible Item & was rejected "(Message V1579) and the IDOC results in a error when run  in the background mode because of the same information message. The message should not appear when a sales order is being processed in the background but still the message is being displayed . Is there any way the message can be suppressed ? Thanks in Advance.
