Acrobat convert multiple reports to PDF

Greetings,
I am currently experiencing a road block and not quite sure the best way to solve it.
I have Acrobat Professional 9.0 installed on Windows XP. In conjunction with Microsoft Access 2007 I constantly use the Acrobat Add Ins, which are extremely useful especially the "Convert Multiple Reports" function. This function works great when converting multiple MS Access reports into one PDF file (with bookmarks ), however I need to make this feature more seamless - using Visual Basic I cannot determine how to convert multiple access reports into one PDF file. I am hoping someone has a solution to this? I have thought about using SendKeys to access the Add In function, but this will not suffice since Send Keys do not function with consistency. Is their a .dll function I can refer to as a reference?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Convert SMARTFORM report to PDF and send as an email attachment

Hi
I am using the CONVERT_OTF function module to convert a SMARTFORM report in the "spool" to a PDF file. When I use the DOWNLOAD function module, the resulting file can be opened in acrobat.
I would like to email the report in PDF format as an attachment. I am using the function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to create an attachment however the attached file is not being created correctly and When try to open, it gives 'File is damaged and could not be repaired' error message. I believe that somehow I am not using the SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 function module correctly.
Please help me to correct this

Convert Web Report to PDF

Hi all,
I need a possibility to <b>convert Web Reports</b> designed in WAD <b>into PDF</b>. SAP help portal says: 'You access BEx Web applications and reports in the portal. You can then convert these into PDF files and print them.' (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/03/d8c041a227ca17e10000000a155106/frameset.htm)
But I haven't found any documentation how to do this...could anyone please help me? Thanks in advance.

You will need to add a URL or button group to your template and use the command wizard to create the command ("Export Web Template"). You should be able to find more information in the SAP Help documentation for SAP NetWeaver 2004s, which I know you already have a link to.
If you are on a ramp-up project, you should have access also to the Ramp-up Knowledge Transfer (RKT) in the SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/rkt-netweaver. This site contains materials that explain the new features, including the new web items and the command wizard. If you don't have access, check with your SAP consultant for assistance.

Acrobat - Convert Office documents to PDF so that it is crawled/indexed by SharePoint search

Hi there,
This is a hybrid question between Acrobat and SharePoint and I'll post on both forums....
Background:
In a fairly complex application we have a publishing server that utilizes Acrobat to convert Office documents to PDF using the Convert to PDF functionality.
We then publish that PDF to a library in SharePoint. We would like to have those published PDFs searchable by SharePoint search. Unfortunately there is something about these PDFs where SharePoint cannot crawl the content.
Note: I do realize that PDFs are not indexable by SharePoint out of the box and I have installed and configured the iFilter utility. I have been able to index and search for other PDFs, so I know the mechanism works. It just seems to be these
particular PDFs.
I have also manually "Saved as PDF" directly from Word/Excel and those PDFs are crawled by SharePoint....it just seems to be when Acrobat does its conversion. I'm sure it's just a simple configuration somewhere... I just don't know what I'm
looking for.
Another note: When I open the published PDFs, I am able to use Acrobat's search to find the text.... and the text is selectable; so it's not as if the conversion changed it to an image.
So....would anyone happen to have encountered this issue? Or does anyone know what makes a PDF indexable by SharePoint search?

Hi ,
According to your description, my understanding is that the PDFs which are converted from Office documents by Acrobat cannot be crawled in your SharePoint 2010.
For your issue, please make sure these PDFs version is 1.5(Acrobat 6.x) or above.
You can take steps as below for verifying:
Open your PDF using Adobe Reader.
Go to File -> Properties.
Check the PDF Version under Advanced section.

Convert ALV report into PDF and mail ( Hierarchical List View )

Hi All,
I see many posts of PDF download but none resolve my issue.
I am writing a report in APO SNP which fetches data and displays an alv using REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY as i need to show the result as a Hierarchical sequential list.
I need to provide the functionality of PDF download ( online ) and Email with PDF as attachement ( Background ) for the list output.
I read the post http://www.sapdev.co.uk/reporting/rep_spooltopdf2.htm which provides a sample program and tried to incorporate but the control doesn't come back from the ALV function module.
How do i trigger the spool creation while still showing the output and then send email?
Suggestions and pointers are highly appreciated

Convert Multiple Images to PDF using iTextSharp?

Hello friends, in my small project i have a button for converting more than one image file to pdf, i made some search in google and found some articles about that i found one that helps me to do that but convert only two images to pdf, and i want to make
it unspecified number of image to pdf
can anyone help me please? how to do that? or give me an article about that

Converting Vertical Reports to PDF

Hi all,
I created a vertical report on a table because there are many columns in that table. I am trying to convert that table to a PDF file. However, the built in printing capability doesn't seem to support printing vertical reports, it only prints the table in horizontal format, which is not what I want.
Is there any way to help me achieve what I want to do?

Shared components, Report Layouts, Create, Generic Columns (is an easier layout..) Then you give it a name.. You will need to either know ho wto format the xsl-fo or buy a tool to do the visual layout for you..

Acrobat Stamps - Multiple Stamps, One PDF & Not Appearing

I have two questions I can use some help in getting an answer to. The questions might be intertwined.
A past co-worker had created a PDF file with five different stamps in it. When he placed it into the proper plug_ins/ENU directory, it would show up as a drop down menu exposing all five stamps. I have attempted to create a similar PDF file, but when I place it in the appropriate directory, nothing shows up at all.
What things should I look for in trying to figure out why this isn't properly showing up? As far as I can tell, the PDF file has been created properly, it's just a matter of visibility.

It is possible to create a PDF template file and then place that file in the appropriate folder.
Newer versions of Acrobat allow one to import a PDF file and make then convert individual pages into stamps.

"Rep-0999 Unimplemented Error" while converting a report to PDF format...

i have developed a number of complex reports with several queries and formula objects, all running successfully and converting to other formats accuratelly.
i have report of Accounts Receivables, a complex one, running near about 10 queries and 7 formula column database functions to calculate values for each row return, this report works accuratelly and converts to other formats easily but takes full 60 to 70 seconds to run the report.
management asked me to enhance the performace of this report,
i had worked out and reduce the number of queries and formula columsn to one single query with 5 nested(union queries) queries. execution times reduces to 3 to 5 seconds with accuracy.
Report displays correctelly but give an error "Rep-0999 Unimplemented Error" whenver we converts it to pdf or other sources.
While other complex reports were still converting successfully.
Help me out of this problem,.... im hands up at this situation.

i have lexical variable, to whom i assign two values either "<> 0" or "is not null",
i had omitted the space from "<> 0" and make it "<>0", now it works properly,
only one confussion left, if i pass "is#not#null" from form, how can i can convert it on report to "is not null",

Adobe Acrobat, Print multiple files to PDF and merge open files to closed files?

I have Adobe Acrobat XI Professional.
Print to PDF – How can this be done for more than 15 documents at a time? Right now, if I select 16 or more documents, I cannot ‘right click’ and choose ‘print’. Is this a setting issue? If I have many documents I need to print to PDF at once, it would be helpful if there wasn’t this limitation. Background: This needs to be done to PDF files created from Adobe Live Cycle (and possibly from other software) because the files cannot be merged unless they are ‘printed to PDF’ first. I don't know an alternate way to merge these files.
Also, if I have a multi-page PDF open and I need to parse out the pages to different files, is it possible to drag the selected pages out of the open PDF and hover over a closed PDF and have them added to the end of the closed PDF document? I don't know of a way to do this, but I thought I would check to see if anyone else was aware of a simpler way to parse pages from one document into several pre-existing documents without opening each and dragging the files between them.

Thank you for your response...I can do the additional step to combine them, the problem that I have is that the documents need to be in chronological order. If I print them to the pdf printer or export them, either way, windows sorts them and they are no longer chronological. While I can organize them when I combine them there are many times that there way too many that need combined into one pdf, making it a very inefficient and cumbersome process to do. So I was in hopes there was a way to just have the pdf printer create one file instead of one for each document, it would keep them in chronological order. I suppose I could number them on the print to keep them chronological - but when there are 75 or 100 documents it is a bit of a pain to sit there and respond to each document as it is being printed, and then need to do the additional step of combining. My goal in this process is to gain efficiency so thought I would see if anyone knew how to use the pdf printer to create the single file.

Consolidate multiple reports in PDF

Hi all,
Using the Share Components > Report Queries/Layout, I am able to customise a report with XSL-FO.
Problem is I need to consolidate 5 such reports into one so when users click a button, they get the whole lot in PDF as opposed to downloading 1 by 1 and consolidate them.
Not sure if this is achievable using just Apex.
I am using Apex Listener 2 as my print engine and my Apex version is 4.2.3

Maybe you could build the 5 report PDF's and merge them with a PDF merge tool??

Converting Outlook 2007 email to PDF; Have to reboot PC to convert multiple times

I have an end user who converts multiple emails to PDF for filing purposes. Adobe converts multiple emails in a portfolio style. Email can be seen as in a file at the top and seen seperately ebelow. After 2-3 times Adobe won't convert to portfolio format, won't give error message, but will convert all selected email as one large PDF. Until user reboots machine, portfolios can't be created. Tried on two different machines same issue. Using Adobe 9 Pro and Outlook 2007.

Is Acrobat updated to 9.5.2? What SP do you have installed for Office 2007? What version of Windows (with SP) is running on these computers?
