Acrobat Forms--E-mail response-Digital ID, not desired?

I have buillt a simple form I itend to distribute to
people, and have respond with an auto-e-mail submit button. Designed in Acrobat 8.
When it comes to hitting the e-mail submit button, it asks for a digital ID, or to create one. This is not a signed document, and I am not sure what is enabling this message.
I believe I've set the document preferences appropriately to collect such data.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Hi,
According to your description, I understand that e-mail from OneDrive cannot delivered to Exchange users with an error “550 5.7.1 Sender ID (PRA) Not Permitted”, after enable anti-spam functionality on Mailbox servers, and then choose reject message when
the Send ID check fails.
I find an article about Send ID, for your reference:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996295(v=exchg.150).aspx
“When an email message is received, the Exchange server queries the sender's DNS server to verify that the IP address from which the message was received is authorized to send messages for the domain that's specified in the message headers. The IP address
of the authorized sending server is referred to as the purported responsible address (PRA).”
Therefore, I want to double confirm whether you have created a properly SPF record for Hotmail. It looks like below:
“v=spf1 ip4:192.168.0.1 ip4:192.168.0.2 ip4:192.168.0.3 include:spf.protection.outlook.com –all”
Please refer to below link to correct SPF record and try again:
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/safety/content/technologies/senderid/wizard/
Additional, please use following command, try to specify an recipient who can bypass the Send ID agent, then try use this account to narrow down the problem.
Set-SenderIDConfig -BypassedRecipients <recipient1,recipient2...> -BypassedSenderDomains <domain1,domain2...>
More details, please refer to Use the shell to configure recipient and sender domain exceptions
section in Manage Sender ID:

• Acrobat Form, e-mail problem

I set up an e-mail form with a "send by e-mail" button on it. I used the "mailto: ......" command and tested it on my computer and several others. It worked fine. However, I've been contacted by a few form users who said it would not send from their computers. If a user doesn't have a client e-mail set up, could that be a problem? Some may use web-based e-mails. Is there a way / command I can put in to tell the user's computer to send by their default e-mail application, whether Outlook, Gmail, secure mail or other?

If you use the forms distribution process to send your form in Acrobat, the recipient will be prompted to choose a desktop or internet email program. You can find further details on this in the tutorial Form Submit/ E-mail Demystified.

• Adobe Forms - How do I set up e-mail responses

I am an HTML web designer who has been frustrated by forms. So I purchased Adobe Forms. Extremely easy to create.
Here's what I don't understand: When someone responds, is it possible to have the e-mail response sent to the people I am creating the forms for?
I thought it would be sent to them if they were listed as a collaborator, but the e-mail notifications don't go to them.
What can I do?

Read this FAQ: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1424
They need to go to their Options tab and turn it on. It is something each user controls, not you.

• With Adobe FormsCentral in Creative Teams subscription, do I need to add an Acrobat Pro subscription to get unlimited forms and realtime responses?

We have a number of Creative Cloud for Teams seats but need to FormsCentral unlimited forms and realtime response rate.
The site makes you upgrade to Acrobat Pro subscription to get that, which is included in Creative Cloud. I did order it, but am puzzled at whether or not that was a mistake.
Anyone has an idea about this?

Hi GrattanGuru,
You have creative cloud subscription as you have mentioned. Under Adobe Reader to convert PDF to other formats Adobe offers online service called Acrobat.com services: https://www.acrobat.com/en_us.html
That would be the reason support person might have told you on call, that you have to pay for that service.
Under creative cloud you are getting Adobe applications. However under Acrobat.com you are getting online services which are providing Acrobat functions online.

• Acrobat Standard 8 - why is the digital signature not responding?

Using Acrobat version 8 and it is fully updated.
When I try to insert a digital signature, it freezes and when I eventually close the digital signature window, it says it is not responding and the program shuts down.
This is using a document that I use frequently and only recently started having problems with the digital signature.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
Thank you!

Hi,
I'd like to clarify some points. You use a digital ID to create a digital signature, not unlike how you use a pen to create (what we refer to as) a wet ink signature. When it comes to applying a digital signature to a document, you can sign just about any blob of electronic data. You can sign your e-mail or a MS Word document as well as a PDF file. The signature itself lives either in the document (that's how Acrobat does it when signing a PDF file), or it can be an external attachment (that's what the smime.p7s file is you might see attached to some e-mail messages).
Here is where I'm a bit confused. How many digital IDs do you have access to? If you only have one, does it cause Acrobat to lock up when signing a specific PDF file or when you try to sign any PDF file? Same question if you have more than one digital ID available to sign with, they all cause Acrobat to lock you when signing just one specifc file or any file? When you try to sign, are you signing an existing signature field, or are you creating a signature on the fly, be it either visible or invisible? If it is just one file that is causing the problems then that file is probably corrupt. If it's any file then it is a more systemic problem and I don't have an off the shelf answer for you.

• Receiving Acrobat Form Responses

Hi there,
I've been expericing trouble receving entries from my Acrobat forms. I made a few test entries and although it indicates that the form has been submitted, I can't seem to receive any responses when I try updating the Master form.
On Tracker, it says "Could not access the network resource".
I've tried editing the file location, as well as "repairing Adobe Installation", to no avail.
Would greatly appreciate help ASAP, we're expecting a lot of entries to come through today.
Thank you,
Lindsay

Did you try with proper Usage rights?

• Can I auto-populate fields in a pdf form based on responses in other fields (using Acrobat XI PRO)?

I am creating a fillable pdf form using Acrobat XI Pro and would like to be able to auto-populate text fields in one section of the form based on responses entered by respondents in an earlier section. Is this possible? If so, would it function for respondents using Adobe Reader to complete the form?
Many thanks,
Andy

Thanks, George! In the form I am creating, I ask respondents to identify a number of organizations that they work with. For example, I ask "Please list up to ten organizations" and then I provide ten text boxes for organizations 1-10. I then ask a series of follow up questions (radio buttons, check boxes, and rating scales) about each organization. I would like to auto-populate the fields of those follow up questions with the names of the organizations that the respondents had written. Does that make sense? Will this require JavaScript? My hope is to avoid complicated scripts that may give respondents technical problems with the form. Thanks again,
Andy

Hi johnb69345359,
I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. Lets try to resolve this issue.
I would require few details in order to diagnose the issue correctly :-
1) Are you able to launch Acrobat XI pro ?
If yes, please try Help -> Repair option to repair Acrobat XI pro. Then try to perform the covert operation.
2) Let me know the Operating system installed on your computer.
3) Is there any error code or error message?

• I have a acrobat reader, can I import text delimited data format to a PDF Form so that it can auto fill into forms that was created? If not, what about FDF and XML data

I have a acrobat reader, can I import text delimited data format to a PDF Form so that it can auto fill into forms that was created? If not, what about FDF and XML data

Yes, you can do all of that via Tools - Forms - More Form Options - Import Data, if you have Acrobat.
If you only have the free Reader then you can still do it, but it requires a script.

• I need someone to write a Java Script for my Adobe Acrobat form. I do not know how to write Java Code

I have never worked with Java coding and am in need of assistance for an acrobat form I am working on.
- I have a form with a field identifier called BACompnayName (this is the field where they would enter their company name).
- I then have a form field with two radials that says "Is the shipping address the same as the business Address" - "Yes" and "No" (the form identified for this field is SASame.
What I am trying to accomplish:
- If they click yes, I would like the form to fill in the information found in BACompanyName otherwise, leave it blank to be filled out by the person filling out the form.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Brett

Something like the following?
Checkbox for "make billing address the same as shipping address" doesn't work (JavaScript)

• Have downloaded a form using Acrobat, When it Saved it still would not allow me to edit it what now?

Cannot edit the document I have downloaded what did I do wrong

Does the PDF really have PDF form fields or lines that indicate where a form field could exist?
Can you post a link to the form?
If the creator did not add form fields then most likely they will not exist.
