Acrobat Ribbon not Appearing in Microsoft Excel 365 (2013)?

I have Microsoft 365 (2013) and Microsoft 2010 along with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on my PC.
I have tried disabling the Adobe PDF Maker Add-in and re inserting in into the Add-ins menu. The PDF maker still won't show up in Excel 365. It shows up fine in Excel 2010, but not Excel 365.
Has anyone had this issue? How did you fix it?

Please make sure your Acrobat version is 11.0.1 or greater. Lower versions of Acrobat do not support Office 2013.

    I upgraded to Mavericks on 4 seperate computers, an 2 iMacs, MBPro and an MBAir and ALL four no longer connect to Microsoft Office 365 email accounts either with Office 2011 or the built in Mac apps.  Apple support says "Microsoft knew for a year that Mavericks was coming out and it their job to make it compatible".  I repsonded that their own Apps like Mail, Contacts and Calendar don't work either and they attempted to trouble shoot those apps only to no avail after 4 hours and a Mavericks reinstall.  I have also tried an Office reinstall.

    A colleagues more formal description of the problem:
    We have had a major problem with people working directly off of the afp reshares with MS Word.
    Word creates "Word Work Files" and usually is able to store them in either "Share/Temporary Items/uid/TemporaryItems/" or "Share/.TemporaryItems/folders.uid/TemporaryItems" as long as permissions are correct.
    This works under 10.5.7 seed release 9J39 with direct attached storage, but with the Xsan reshared the word work files appear in the same folder as the opened document even though the permission for temporary items are correct.
    This causes a number of issues, one being that if one user has a document open and another clears out the word work file then the open document cannot be saved.
    Another issue that we have seen is where the word work file is created and then the original document disappears (although I think this may be another user housekeeping the word work files again).
    We have tried to persuade users to work on local copies of the documents instead, but old habits die hard...

    When executing BW reports from the GUI, the following error is received.  Reports run directly from excel seem to work fine.
    "Microsoft Excel is not installed; install Microsoft Excel Viewer"
    This error is occuring on machines that were recently upgraded to SAP GUI 7.20 patch 7 and BW 3.5 patch 5.  In some cases  but not all, running a repair on Excel resolves the issue.  However, we do not want to have to run a repair on all machines that will be upgraded.    Does anyone no the root cause and an easier solution for this issue?

  • Acrobat XI email attachment does not appear to work with Outlook 2013 64 bit

    When attempting to send email from Acrobat, the following Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 64 bit error message is received: 
    "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request.  Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default email client."
    Naturally, Outlook was set as default client and then reset for good measure.  I did both Outlook and Acrobat repairs and have the latest 11.0.2 installed.  All other internal Office 2013 email applications work as well as seemingly all other embedded Acrobat funcitions with Office 2013 work well.  Office 2010 64 bit and Acrobat X worked fine.  I upgraded to Office 2013 64 bit and had the problem with Acrobat X.  I then upgraded to Acrobat XI and the issue remained.
    Most importantly, I intalled Office 2013 64 bit on my laptop with Acrobat X.  An the email attachment function works perfectly. 
    So, is there some sort of corrupt MAPI file that I have to overwrite on my desktop that the Ofice and Acrobat repair functions do not fix?

    I am sorry.  In my haste, not only did I attach the link the wrong way, but I also did not specify which solution worked.  My problem was a Click to Run issue.  The portion of the thread that deals with the problem is:

    I created a solution for this problem for 64 bit Windows 8 where Outlook 2013 was installed as Click-To-Run.......
    ......A  registry edit will fix the problem with Outlook 2013 click to run  installations and enable Outlook to be set as the default mail client.  This registry edit will for many third party programs eliminate the error "Either  there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot  fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it  as the default mail client." It  worked to resolve the problem where Adobe Acrobat was generating this  error.
    The registry edit is here for Office  2013 64 bit click to run installations that will enable Outlook 2013 to  be recognized by third party applications:
    1. Create registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook
    2. Create String value:
    Bitness
    3. Set the String value for Bitness to:
    x64
    This registry edit is an essential element  necessary to resolve the click to run problem that prevents Outlook 2013  from being set as the default mail client. Although it worked with  Adobe Acrobat, it will not completely resolve the  problem for some third party applications like Kerio Outlook Connecter  where the software developer has a web site that includes extra steps  necessary for a full resolution for the Kerio product. The Kerio web  site includes this registry edit in the context  of resolving the Office 365 problem. However, the registry edit works  with Office 2013 desktop as well. A similar register edit could likely  be made for 32 bit versions but the registry path would not include Wow6432Node. I do not have a 32 bit machine and cannot test a 32 bit solution."

               I am sending vendor data to each vendor to their email id through excel files in a report. This report does not display any of this data.
    For this iam using the FM. SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1. The excel sheet consists of Russian text. This Russian text is not appearing properly in the excel sheets sent through mail. Some weird characters are appearing instead of the Russian text.
    I tried using "Translate" but its invain. I also tried to generate the report by logging into the system in Russian still i could not get proper text.
    Kindly help me in resolving this.

    Try right clicking on a PDF and select the open with to set Acrobat as the default.

  • Bookmark ribbon not appearing when pushing bookmark icon

    I'm reading a Project Gutenberg book I downloaded from the iBooks store, and when I press the bookmark icon in the upper right of a page, no ribbon comes down to indicate it's marked. When I go to the list of bookmarks, only sometimes has a bookmark been registered, and when it has, it's for a spot a few pages earlier in the text.
    If I click on the listed bookmark, iBook will take me to the page it claims I've marked, and the red ribbon will be there.
    Is this just an issue with the epub formatting of some books, like this free one?

    OK, I have a theory about how this thing is behaving; bookmarks seem to show up/behave as you would expect (when I tap on the ribbon) provided I have the font size set to something that appears to paginate the book to its original (just a guess on my part) layout. If I increase the font size to make things larger/more easily readable, then things get screwy as described above as the pagination bumps up the # of pages and the page #s where a ribbon gets place doesn't seem to correspond to the exact visible page I wanted it on. Confused? So was I, but the evidence seems to point to this.
    Anyway, try this out and see if it doesn' behave as I described.
    Bottom line - iBooks does not behave in a rational manner and therefore it is buggy in my opinion - i.e. this is not a "feature"...
    I have no experience with other iBooks downloads. Steve Jobs is my first purchase - and this this is my introduction to iPad and iBooks and terribly ironic to discover behavior like this with the ode to Steve book - which, BTW, I am enjoying max.

    You may have to manually run the maintenance on the database before the next scheduled automatic activity for the same. The following cmdlet can help you: Remember to substitute your database name

  • The "Adobe PDF" menu choice does not appear on Excel Menu

    I've installed Acrobat 9.1.2 and the "Adobe PDF" menu choice does not appear on the Excel 2000 Menu.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Microsoft Office option in PDF Maker with no change.  It does appear on the Word 2000 Menu.  Adobe 8.1.3 shows on all apps of Microsoft 2000 (on different computers.)

    According to Version Compatibility of Acrobat PDFMakers Office 2000 is not suupported by Acrobat 9.

    One of our users does have Acrobat installed, and can open and use it. However, the shortcut that is in his start menu brings up the Installer. Acrobat does not appear in the installed prograns list in Programs and Features (WIN7). I don't see an Adobe group in the start menu, or when searching the task-bar. the Desktop shortcut links to the correct folder/acrobat.exe.
    Any reason why this program would NOT show up as having been installed, when it very clearly IS installed and working correctly?

    Please try repairing Acrobat from the 'Help' menu and check.
    Also check if Acrobat has been updated to the latest patch i.e. v9.5.5

    Just check , I think that these two colums would be hidden in Normal display. Check them and then delete the hidden columns if they do not have any dependencies.
    Then they will not appear in the Excel as well.

    I keep getting the error message "Save As failed to process this document. No file was created.", when trying to Save As Spreadsheet > Microsoft Excel Workbook. What can I do to correct this error?

    I had the same problem with both Acrobat Pro CS6 and CC on a Mac OS 10.8.5. I was trying File > Save As Other > More Options > Rich Text Format. I would get the same error. I tried saving as a Word document to no avail. Web searches yielded no insight.
    Here's how I got it to work: Tools > Content Editing > Export File To... > Rch Text Format
    I think it's a bug if you can't save it under one menu but you can under another. I hope this works for you.

    You have to update AA XI to work with AA 2013. You may also have to open the OFFICE tools and enable the add-ons. There is no tool in some of the OFFICE applications. You can check the list in the PDF Maker folder in Acrobat.
