It is probably a feature of the input type="image" component.
When submitting this component, it will pass in two request parameters - the x,y co-ordinates of where the image was clicked.
ie <input type="image" name="proposal.action"
will submit parameters proposal.action.x=??? and proposal.action.y=???
In Firefox, it also submits proposal.action=insert (ie the value of the button) IE does not do this.
That is probably the root cause of the issue.
Struts does provide the [url http://struts.apache.org/1.2.9/api/org/apache/struts/util/ImageButtonBean.html] ImageButtonBean to use on your action form and determine if a button was clicked. However each individual button would have to have its own name - you can't use it with the DispatchAction so easily.

The site www.lamps-on-line.com has rollovers and actions created a few years ago in GoLive and now these effects only work in Firefox, but not in Interenet Explorer (IE7), which displays page errors. Is there a way to fix this? I acknowledge that the site needs replacing but while it's still running my client wants it fixed.
I set up a test page at www.lamps-on-line-com/test.html in which I took off all rollovers and actions, and this loads OK but I really don't want to have to resort to doing this on every page.
I wondered if it is somrthing to do with 'Doctype'?

I didn't see any errors when I looked at yourhome page in IE7 (on Vista). So which page elements were producing an error and what was the error you were seeing? Did you delete the cache in IE7 to check whether it was a caching problem? Tools > Internet Options > Browsing history (choose to delete)?

Actions mapped to F-keys error

After applying the latest updates to the bosses machine this morning, all of his AI CS6 F-Key Actions began having trouble. They all worked fine yesterday and have worked fine since I installed CS6 back in late December. He has the tools he always uses mapped to F1-F6. Yesterday they overrode any Adobe assignments to those keys (like F1 opens Help), but today they do not. I went in to Keyboard Shortcuts and removed all Adobe mappings to the F-Keys. Relaunched AI CS6. Now the Actions work but produce an error. A pop-up window opens when hitting one of the F-keys saying… "The object "Lock" is not currently available. with a Continue or Stop. Substitute what ever command is assigned to the other F-Keys with word "Lock". They all produce the error pop-up. The action will complete the Action but the dialog error has to be clicked making the Action unhelpful.
It happens if an item is selected with the hollow pointer or the solid pointer...regardless of if it is in a group or in a nested layer or root layer. It happens with the "Show Layers Only" box is checked or unchecked (the other bug of CS6).
The latest run of updates I applied this AM appear to be the culprit. Another user tested and could run the Actions just fine. Once he updated, he no longer could. He got the error.

You have the only known work-around. I have problems with the Default actions in CS6 not completing. I haven't figured out what to do with that yet.

E Bay Sign in no longer works after Firefox Security Update 3.6.6 , return message from eBay is error in your input while signing in

When signing in to eBay, I get an error message stating that there was an error in my input when I attempted to sign in... which also brings up the sign in page again... had no problems prior to the Firefox Security Update 3.6.6..... I can "claim " I forgot my password and using the forgotten password link... get into My eBay... but if I log out and then sign back in a day later... it's the same old thing all over again.... this browser is becoming as much a problem as Internet Explorer has been for years... Any computer tech would know that it is likely not firefox causing this issue, but an incompatibility with a new ebay sign-in page and the firefox browser. The browser only does what the code on the page tells it to. I have seen the issue with other sites that work with IE or with Safari, but not firefox and some that work with firefox and IE but not Safari, it is the web developer's fault for the page that isn't working, not your browser.
---It is possible that it is a firefox issue, but it is most likely an issue with the webpage itself. I do not have a problem signing into ebay at all with firefox.

I need use the Click Map feature in Omniture which currently only works on Firefox V4. For some reasin V5 gives an error when trying to install. Can you please help me download V4?

If the crashing only happens with other peoples projects it could be for a variety of reasons. There are tons of asset references saved in the library (the location every item was imported from) and much more. None of those locations will exist on your system and internal complications may simply happen, especially with any runtime shared assets.
If possible you should consider adding more system RAM so you can multi-task. RAM is extremely cheap. I'm assuming from a smaller 500GB HD and 4GB RAM that you're probably on a laptop however. Installing RAM is still usually pretty easy if you have the notebook manual (or grab it online). It typically involves just lifting the keyboard or opening a single panel on the bottom of the notebook but it varies greatly. At any rate, 8GB RAM would help you quite a bit. If you do, just make sure you get the correct type of RAM (again, in the specs in your manual).
Even when you run out of physical RAM, Flash (like any other application) will still see more RAM based on the OS's swap memory setting (using available space on your HD as RAM). It will get much slower but Flash should see the total amount the 32bit OS can handle for RAM (it doesn't know if it's physical fast RAM or SWAP (fake) HD RAM though). If you open other apps with Flash they should also operate, but will also use swap RAM and you've probably noticed your HD crunching a lot while more apps are open.
That said, I have a 4GB RAM in my older i7 lappie and have used Flash CS5.5 and CS6 on it extensively, with other applications open. Although my projects contain mild assets and mostly tons of code. No issues at all. I just think your heavy assets are crashing you.

Facebook and Slacker no longer working with Firefox. Still work with Explorer. Until a week ago problem did not exist.

I am for about one week not able to input information on Facebook. Also the Facebook page appears in a huge font. Regarding Slacker I do not see any available online radio stations. Until about a week ago everything worked fine. At present I can work with Internet Explorer, but at present can no longer work with Firefox.

Flash drag and drop not working on Firefox for android browser

Drag and drop functionality is not working using Firefox Browser for Android on tablet. We tested with flash action script 2.0 & 3.0 content, both have same issue. Specs of the tab and OS are as follows.
Android - Kitkat 4.4.2
Tab models - Lenovo A7600H and Samsung Tab4 T531

Additionally, we observed that the object on which Drag and Drop event was triggered, is moving little bit when we double tap.
Does Firefox provide any libraries to support Drag and Drop functionality on Flash? We are using Geekoview api to execute flash content in our app. Will the same support be provided in Geekoview as well?
Are there other folks facing the same issue? Is there a solution or workaround to get this feature running?

Flash on Android is no longer supported by Adobe. While Firefox does support basic functionality we mainly focus on legacy video applications. You may run into issues with Flash and Geckoview. I doubt we have any resources to support that configuration.

How do I get a .LIS to work with firefox?

I use Firefox at work because I simply like it better. Before we upgraded our computers to windows 7 enterprise with service pack 1 I could use Swiftview for viewing our payment processes, it uses a .LIS extension, but now I have to save everything before I can open it up and view it. Is there a way to fix this?

ShowHide onclick not working in Firefox nor Safari

I have a real estate site that's been up for a while. The floor plans showHide is now not working in Firefox nor Safari (still works in IE). I would swear that it previously was working (6 months ago?).
I'm sure I have a coding error someplace -- or have upgrades in the browsers disallowed the showHide script? I'd rather not have to completely rewrite the page if I don't have to, so a quick fix would be preferable to having to rewrite the entire page.
The page is a simple 3-layer: the default visible layer is a plain site plan. Imagemap showHide on mouseover create a mouse-over effect on each of the units; that mouseover aspect works properly in all browsers (it's showing and hiding any of 4 images depending on where the mouse is on the page). What is not working is the onClick hot spot on each of the highlight images; the blank a=href"" comes up rather than the onClick... desitination. Make sense?
I tried both using the onClick within an <a> tag and on the image iteself (no <a> tag). Neither works (except, again, in IE).
I'm still on CS3; perhaps that's the issue? I've been surfing to see if my script is outdated but unable to find anything useful, so thought I'd try this forum. In my header, this is the FUNCTION that Dreamweaver put in. Is v9.0 current?

This is a very unusual attempt. You have both an anchor tag wrapping the image, AND hotspots on the image. I'm not surprised you are finding a conflict between those two.

The "new" hotmail no longer works with safari, but works with firefox. Hmm.

The "new" hotmail no longer works with safari, but works with firefox. Hmm. i find this very convenient being a microsoft product. anybody else wonder why this new version happens to not be safari compatible? does anybody know if it works on the PC version of safari? if not, i find this to be a blatant move on microsofts part to bias the safari browser (especially since its basicly new on the window platform). forcing safari/hotmail users to "have" to use another browser to access their hotmail accounts.

I have been successfully using Hotmail and Gmail with Safari for a long time. For roughly the past month, that relationship is rocky at best. At times, one of the following actions suddenly opens Hotmail, but it is a short-lived solution:
(a) Hotmail directly
(b) Hotmail Home>Hotmail
(c) Sign up to Windows Hotmail
(d) Deletion of prescribed cookies, resetting, etc. - made no difference
Both Firefox and Opera work fine with Hotmail - especially Opera is very fast.
In addition, Safari and Gmail does not work with Attachments, but otherwise Gmail is OK.
I suspect I have to wait for a Safari fix because in my case I do not wish to abandon Hotmail, and Safari is a given. I would think that Safari would want to stay competitive with the two biggies, Hotmail and Gmail, which must have large numbers of users.
I certainly would appreciate any other suggested fixes.

My Microsoft Intellimouse back and forward buttons don't work in Firefox, but they do in IE and in Windows Explorer. It used to work, now it just stopped. Why and how can I fix this?

Forward and back buttons don't work in Firefox but do everywhere else.

Make sure that you set those buttons to the default action in your mouse driver software (Control Panel > Mouse or specific Intellimouse driver software).

Action works on fireFox, BeanUtils error on IE ?!?!?!
