Actionable Email issue SOA composite OIM11gR2

Hello Experts,
I have created an Actionable Email from SOA, The mail is gettting generated, but when i click on Accept button of the EMail, It gets converted into a reply email and no action is taken on the SOA side.
Is this something known?

  • Help regarding Actionable Email in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi,
    I am working on a requirement wherein there are 2 approver's in a serial flow. These 2 approver's need to approve or reject the payload by accessing their emails instead of going to the BPM Worklist.
    My problem is that the 1st approver gets the payload in this inbox,but when he clicks on approve button, the reply to window opens with the 2nd approver's address alongwith comments,attachments and nid string in the body.The 2nd approver gets this and not the payload with the approve reject button. To test if the bpel process completes, the 2nd approver replies to the initiator. But the bpel does not complete. It shows running in the flow trace.
    Only when these approver's approve or reject in BPM worklist, the process gets completed, which shouldnt be the case.
    In SOA 10g,this works fine when ns_email.xml is properly configured. But ns_email.xml file isnt found in 11g.
    Can anyone please help me solve this issue???

    I haven't done it in 11g but I'm sure it is the same.
    you need to import the java classes. to do this add the following to you .bpel source code
    <bpelx:exec import="java.util.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.lang.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.math.*"/>
    place it between the lines:
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <!--
    PARTNERLINKS
    e.g.
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <bpelx:exec import="java.util.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.lang.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.math.*"/>
    <!--
    PARTNERLINKS
    Also from memory the System.out.println never worked for me, or it printed in the logs which wasn't helpful. What you can do is assign it to another variable, e.g.
    String input = (String)getVariableData("InputSring");
    setVariableData("OutputSring",input);
    OutputString is my variable defined in BPEL.
    cheers

  • How to create incident rule for SOA composite faulted instances

    Hi Experts,
    How can I create an incident rule for creating an incident when a SOA composite instance goes faulted. I want to notify the administrator when any of the SOA composite instance gets faulted but I am not able to undestand in my incident rule what type of event should be used,in-short I am not able to understand how can I create a rule for eveluating SOA composite faulted instances.
    I am posting this query third time here. Please suggest me a solution or is this a limitation of OEM 12c Cloud Control ?
    Please help...its eally urgent!!!

    Creating Incident rules is a very simple process as long as you know what event you wanna create your rule one. In your case specifically, its even more simple since you already know your target type and metric name.
    Steps:
    1) Create a rule set.
    2) On the same page hit "Targets" tab and select "All target types" and select "SOA Composite" from the target type list.
    3) Now hit "Rules" tab and then hot "Create" and then select first radio button - "Incoming events" since you wanna wrap SOA composite fault metric alert event into a rule.
    4) Now select "Type" and select "Metric Alert"
    5) Now since you are interested in a "specific event" - SOA composite fault metric alert event, select that radio button and hit "Add"
    6) From the "Target Type" dropdown, select "SOA Composite" target type and type "%Fault%" in the Metric name textbox and hit Search.
    7) Select you Metric name and select you severity as you wish.
    8) Add Actions - create notification, emails etc. (Refer docs to understand how best you can use these options as needed)
    9) Save your rule and save your Rule set.
    You have a rule (Make sure its enabled) that will execute your specified actions when any SOA Composite will breach your the selected metric (Fault metric in your case)

  • 12c SOA composite deployment issue using maven

    I am facing issue with 12c SOA composite deployment using maven. I execute the below command for deploying any composite. (Note: Update and run init.cmd file before running the below maven command)
    mvn pre-integration-test –f soa-pom.xml –Dcomposite.name=TestSOAProj –Dcomposite.version=1.1
    Issues:
    As seen above, I specified composite version to be deployed as 1.1 in pom.xml file, but maven deploys the composite with version that is present in composite.xml. It does build the jar file with the version specified in the pom i.e. TestSOAProj_rev1.1.jar, but when it deploys I see the composite with version as 1.0 (this version is in composite.xml). The out of the box maven script is not overwriting the revision in the composite.xml with the value specified in the pom file.
    Also, is there a way to pass the partition name as an user input parameter in the pom file. I tried this with the out of the box pom file by giving the partition name as something other than ‘default’, but the maven script ignores this and always deploys to ‘default’.
    I am not sure if I am missing anything here. Please suggest.

  • Modifing actionable email body

    I am able to configure the actionable emails in the BPEL. So as soon as the task appears in the human task, the email is sent to respective user's email id with the actions in it.
    User just has to click on the action and the email will be sent to SOA server to take particular action.
    Now the problem is i want user to see only few actions in the email.
    e.g. my human task is having multiple outcomes like approve, reject, cancel and request for information.
    Now by default, actionable email will have all the actions in it.
    i wan to restrict it to only Approve and Reject.
    However i do not want to remove other options (outcomes) from BPEL human task.
    How do i do this?
    Regards,
    Vikrant Korde.

  • Calling an actionable email from process task OIM11g

    Hello Experts,
    Is there a way to call an actionable email from process task, meaning can i trigger a workflow on demand from process task.

    You are correct in the actionable emails, you just need to be creative.
    This is my suggestion:
    Create a Modify Application/Request request data set for your Active Directory workflow.  When your scheduled task runs (assuming it will be only once a day so that you don't have multiple being sent out), generate a new request with code, and in the request dataset, set the value to the 365 days in the future.  You can then create an approval policy either using the default manager approval, or custom soa composite.  Regardless, you want the approval task to go to the manager.  If you have enabled the Actionable Email Notifications (UMS Messaging i believe), then the manager will get an email for the approval and at the bottom it will have two options, APPROVE and REJECT.  The manager can click the link and it will process the request based on their response.
    If they approve it, the date is updated, and they get extended in AD.  If they reject it, the request is rejected and it never gets updated.

    I think you may have gotten confused with the installation guide.
    If you're installing GRC, you should not be installing SOA or other components. There are 2 applications you can install from that distribution, GRCC or EGRCM. EGRCM is the one that refers to SOA's if needed, so even then you shouldn't need to install it for testing out the product.
    I hope that helps!

  • Cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server

    My problem: cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server.
    The following is what I did:
    1. I created a domain "devDomain". admin server is created automatically for me.
    *2. I created a manged server (soa_server1) on my domain after.*
    2. started the admin server
    3. started soa_server1
    4. see both servers in WLS control, both server state=running
    5. see both server in EM console, both server status are up
    6. in JDev(11.1.1.5.0), created an application server connection, and tested the connection successfully
    7. when I tried to deploy my composite from JDev, I selected the application server connection, on step "SOA servers", it only lists AdminServer.
    8. Then I tried to deploy the composite from EM by right-click soa_server1, but "SOA deployment" is not in the list.
    My guess: there should be some libraries or other resources applied to soa_server1 before it could accept soa deployment. What are these libraries/resources?
    I tried to target all 10 libraries under the path "oracle.soa." to soa_server1, and checked the config.xml and found the file was updated correcly, reboot my pc, restarted the servers, but still face the same problem.
    My environment is weblogic 10.3.5.
    Basically, my question is:
    after a domain is created and admin server is there, if I want to add a managed server which will host soa composites, what should I do to configure the managed server?

    In my composite I have configured WS policies and in BPEL’s invoke activity , I have added headers and endpoint URI as an expression in properties tab.
    I am getting the following error at the time of deployment :-
    1)     Through Jdeveloper and Manually through Soa Server :-
    Caused By: ORABPEL-05250
    Error deploying BPEL suitcase.

    When starting SOA Suite after upgrading from 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.1.6, I experienced a similar error in the soa_server?.out logs:
    <Error> <oracle.soa.bpel.engine.deployment> <BEA-000000> <

    Anyone have a suggestion on how to resolve this error?

  • In 12C, SOA Composite homepage, Topology tab is missing

    Hi,
    I did install 12c cloud control.
    After that, deploy agents to monitor soa 11.1.1.5.
    Then i installed ADP manager, JVM diagnostics manager, deploy ADP, JVM agents.
    All status are succeeded and adp/jvm managers are up, agent status is reporting.
    But when I hit any composite link of Deployed Composite in soa-infra home page, it goes to composite home page,
    Only 3 tab pages there, home, fault and rejected message and web service policy.
    From document it mentioned there should be Topology tab at the end. so normally 4 tab pages.
    Is there anything else need to be done to show this Topology tab page for SOA composite?
    Appreicate any help and comments on this issue.

  • Spawning multiple approval tasks in parallel in OIM11g SOA Composite

    Hi,
    We are trying to implement the following scenario.
    1) We are trying to develop a SOA composite for AD Group Access
    2) The request dataset contains a child table for AD User Group Details which is as follows.
    <AttributeReference name="AD User Group Details" attr-ref="UD_ADUSRC" type="String" length="20" widget="text" available-in-bulk="true">
    <AttributeReference name="Group Name" attr-ref="Group Name" type="String" length="400" widget="lookup" available-in-bulk="true" lookup-code="Lookup.ADReconciliation.GroupLookup" primary="true"/>
    </AttributeReference>
    3) Consider the user is already provisioned to AD.
    4) User now tries to request for AD Group Access by using a request template
    5) The request dataSet for the resource "AD Group Access" will be displayed where the user would "Add" the group(s) to which (s)he want access.
    6) Once the request is sumbitted the associated SOA composite would be executed.
    7) Now, in the SOA composite the logic should be as follows:
    a. For each group selected, there is a corresponding dataApprover who should approve the request.
    b. Once the dataApprover approves the request it goes to the next approver who is securityApprover.
    c. Once the securityApprover approves the request, the request should go thru and the user should get the membership in the AD Group.
    d. Since "AD User Group Details" is a child form in the request dataset, the user can add multiple groups in the same request.
    e. If there are muliple groups selected in the same request, then the same request should spawn parallel approval tasks for all corresponding dataApprovers and securityApprovers.
    f. Then the user should get membership to those AD Groups for which the corresponding dataApprover and securityApprover had approved the request.
    e. If a dataApprover or securityApprover rejects the request then the user shouldn't get membership to the respective group. However, this shouldn't prevent the user from getting membership to other groups for which dataApprover-securityApprover approval was done.
    The dataApprover and securityApprover for the groups are stored in a db table mapping to the corresponding group name.
    We have implemented a SOA composite for which the logic is fine if we add only one group in the child table of request dataset. As per the current implementation, when a user submits the request, the dataApprover and securityApprover for the selected group are fetched from the table and the global variables in SOA composite are set with the ID of dataApprover and securityApprove using setVariableData. These are sting variables. These variables are used in the approval task. The approval task has two "Single Type" participants - dataApprover and securityApprover. These participants fetch the value of dataOwner and securityOwner from the global variables set using setVariableData.
    Now, as mentioned above, if mutiple groups are added like group1, group 2 etc. then there should be multiple approval tasks spawned in parallel that will be approved/rejected by dataApprover1-securityApprover1, dataApprover2-securityApprover2 etc. Depending on the output (approve/reject) the user should get membership to appropriate groups.
    Any inputs on how to modify the current composite to spawn multiple approval tasks in parallel depending on the number of groups added from the requestDataSet would be helpful.
    Regards,
    Swaroop

    Single request id then you are bit safe. The way to do it would be:
    1. Set the dataApprovers as a comma separated list of all the data approvers for all the groups.
    2. Set the securityApprovers as a command separated list of all the security approvers for all the groups.
    3. In Human Task assign the first stage to all the dataApprovers and second stage to securityApprovers.
    Cons of this approach are:
    1. All the approvers would see all the data and they might be confused what they are approving.
    2. securityAppprovers for say group1 won't get the item untill all the dataApprovers approve the request even though dataApprover has approved the request for group1.
    3. Would be hard to implement the rejection cases; depending upon how you want to handle the rejections. For e.g. what if any dataApprover rejects the request? Should the whole request be rejected? If so what would happen to those which have already been approved by dataApprovers? Same case goes for securityApprovers. Again since you cannot modify the requested data once the request is submitted; thus you cannot remove the rejected groups from the request.
    4. You provisioning won't trigger untill all dataApprovers and all securityApprovers have approved the request.
    5. Any one approve from comma separated list of approvers would approve the request. Thus you cannot make sure that all the approvers should approve the request. The workaround would be to create parallel stages in human task and assign one group/approver to one parallel stage. This would mean that you will have to hard code the number of parallel approvals which can be generated in your BPEL human task (This would again depend upon the number of groups requested). To workaround this you could use BPEL extenal routing program where you can pragmatically assign tasks but again since there is no entitlement based request engine in OIM, thus there would be issues there too.
    As a workaround, make sure that you allow only one group to be requested per request and reject the request outright if multiple groups are requested in a single request. You will need to buy in the business on this one.
    Have heard the grapevine that 12G which is in the pipeline would have entitlement based request engine and also would allow for modification of request data once the request is submitted.

  • Jdevelopper and editing EJB in soa composites

    Hello,
    I'm using Jdevelopper (with the bellow configuration) in order to edit SOA composite but it is introducting a bug into the "composite.xml" file when I edit an "EJB exposed service"
    Previously the working service tags were :
    <service name="MyService" ui:wsdlLocation="MyRef.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="/my/package/service/#wsdl.interface(My)"/>
    <binding.ejb jarLocation="myjar.jar" javaInterface="my.package.service.MyFacade" serviceId="MyService"/>
    </service>
    but once i edit it with the graphical interface it becomes and no more work once deployed
    <service name="MyService" ui:wsdlLocation="MyRef.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="/my/package/service/#wsdl.interface(My)"/>
    <binding.ejb jarLocation="myjar.jar" ejb-version="EJB3" name="my.package.service.MyFacade"/>
    </service>
    As we can see, there is no more a *"serviceId"* tag in node *<binding.ejb>* and it has rename *"javaInterface"* attribute to *"name"*.
    From my point of view, these are two bugs from JDevelopper as composite was working before and no more after modification.
    Can anyone confirm the same behaviour and the same issues ?

  • Response not coming to BPEL process from the actionable email

    Hello Helping hands,
    I created a HumanTask workflow with actionable email.
    In the email I get from the HT workflow process, it has 3 links
    2-OUTCOMES list links (Eg:APPROVE,REJECT)
    1-worklist application
    If I update the task through worklist, the process is getting completed successfully.
    But the problem is with the actionable email, if I move the mouse over APPROVE or REJECT the following msg gets displayed in the status bar

    When I click the outcomes link, it opens a new email window without any to address.
    Advice me how to get the response from the actionable email to the BPEL process.
    Regards
    VP

    I had faced a similar issue.
    When the bpel process is initiated you will get an email to the configured email id's inbox.
    Make sure you reply to the mail from the same email account.
    Example : If the email comes to [email protected] id , make sure you reply from the same id.
    Hope this works for you
