ActivateMenuItem not Visible in Menu Structure

Experts:
I am having a bit of trouble here today.  Let me tell you what I have going on.
<b>Question:</b>
How can I use ActivateMenuItem with the menu selection not being visible to the User?
<b>Background:</b>
On the Item Master Data screen(Inventory Tab), I have added a Button. 
When pressed, that button uses the following line of code to open my screen
only after row is selected from the Matrix on the Inventory Tab. 
<b>g_B1Connection.Application.ActivateMenuItem("TESTSCREEN")</b>
I needed to pass Whse and Item from the selected line to my screen, so I added 2 Public Shared variables at the top of my Main.vb class.  I reference those at the top
of my TESTSCREEN.vb class using:
   <b>Dim Item As String = moFormID.Items.Item("5").Specific.Value
   Dim WhseCode As String = Whse</b>
<b>Issue:</b>
I need the menu selection in my menu to use ActivateMenuItem.  However, when
the button I added on the Item Master Data screen is not hit, moFormID is not set.
So, the Menu Selection errors when a User tries to execute it.  I don't want them to be able to execute it from the Menu.

Excellent idea/perspective...I did not think of that.  Each of our forms/screens has a seperate class file.  Each class file has a CreateForm() routine that is called when an instance of the class is intiated behind the menu selection. 
Here is a block of code In Main.vb I use to execute a menu selection:

So, I can utilize this code in the case statement where I was doing the ActivateMenu if I hear you right.  Now, can you help me with how I would pass the
variables instead of making them Public Shared in the Main class?  Or is it ok to expose them that way?
