I know that its saving in the correct format. BUT I don't know why it wouldnt save 2 worksheets, but instead it only have 1.

When the microsoft originals like Word or XL file are displayed using ECL viewer in document display transaction (CV03N), the originals can be copied to local disc using " SAVE AS" function in microsoft word and excel menu. Is there any option to make those button in display mode.

SAP DMS and also ECL Viewer & Office viewer does not have any authorization object for controlling "save as.." function.
All existing authorization objects are related to Display originals. It means that if users have authorization object for Display an original, also they can "save as" this original.
But you can set "save as" to gray (display) with ABAP codes by changing related screens.

My7 computer is running Windows 7, I have the Base installation of LabVIEW, and have Microsoft Office 2007 installed.
I have downloaded the Add-In for Microsoft Excel from:
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/2944
unzipped it successfully (66 files created)
searched for messages and updates (No notifications.)
and I get a screen reading:
Start Installation
Review the following summary before continuing.
Installation Summary
No software will be installed or removed.
The "Next" button is grayed out, leaving "Save File" "<<Back" and "Cancel"
Does anyone have a suggestion why I am unable to go any further?

Are you sure it hasn't been installed before? Under Control Panel...Programs and Features...National Instruments Software...do a "Change/Remove" and look down the list for "NI TDM Excel Add-In verX.XX". If found, uninstall and re-run the installer for the newest version.

Advanced Analysis for Microsoft Excel - Addin Component does not Appear

Hy at all, i have this problem:
i save a workbook on infoview and when i open it , the Addin Advanced Analysis for Microsoft Excel doesn't appear.
This scenario occurs despite the value "3" on registry of this setting: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Excel\Addins\SBOP.AdvancedAnalysis.Addin.1.

Not able to download S&OP Add-In for Microsoft Excel

Hello Folks,
I have been trying to download the S&OP Add-In for Microsoft Excel but its not just getting downloaded. I am not able to see the S&OP in the excel ribbon. Any help would be appreciated. Let know if any info is needed from my end.

2) As there are new Add-on's several times a year, you should efford to check with your administrators that you get the required authorizations, or that they provide always the latest version to you with other means, e.g. by putting the file in the company - internal "shopping-basket"
3) When installing was successfully, but you dont get it displayed, than go to Excel (I have Excel 10, so the path might be slightly different for you)
--> ribbon "file"
--> "Option"
==> you get a new window, here:
On the left choose "Add-Ins"
--> than on the right side bottom-left you will find "Manage"
--> choose "COM-Add-Ins" and press "Go..."
==> you get a new little window popped up. Here your "S&OP Add-In for Excel" should appear and flagged :
If that does not appear, you installatoin was not successful and you have to repeat

Advance Analysis is only for micorsoft excel. You can check with your contact at SAP (TQM / Sales Representative) to check other solutions to have analysis on Web.
For the Analysis Office the only way to have informations at the web is like described at the latest reply.

SAP Gateway for Microsoft excel

Hi ,
I want to create Purchase order data from excel . I have PO header and Item as entity in gateway services . I have associated POHeader with PO Items and declared navigation in SEGW. I have implemented method CREATE_DEEP_ENTITY.
While binding the gateway services, it just bind the header fields and i don't have provision to pass on the item fields . My requirement is to bind PO Header and Items together in excel and call the create_deep_entity method so that PO with item is created together in single payload.
In my case i am able to bind either header or Item data and it search for create_entity method and throw error.
Does excel support Deep Insert ? Can we create Hierarchical data using GWPAM excel.

it is up to you: the Gateway for Microsoft Excel add-in does support both $batch and the single updates. If the underlying OData service supports $batch then this will certainly boost performance if you do mass update operations.
... and you are right: GWM keeps track on the records which have been changed (updated, deleted or created)

As you know business always loves to work in excel and if we offer this possibility they are going to appreciate it very much.
We have already perform PoC for the excel frontend in out business scenario and looks really positive. At the same time, I will also say that there is still big room for improvement for SAP. SAP is already coming with better excel front end but only with IBM demand solution.
so going back to our topic, I would say surely you should go for it. It would be really great if you have data view with less or minimum key figures should be exported to excel where business require to update or maintain key figures. If I am correct, I think you are unable to use it for aggregate forecasting or you have default macro´s to be execute immediately.
In summary, it´s worth to explore the option to see if it works for your business. I am sure business users will be very much happy with this.

BO Live Issue for MS Excel 2003

I am getting the following error while using the BO Live for MS Office 2003.
Live Office version u2013 12.1.3.1028
An error occured while opening the report. The report does not exist;you have insufficient rights to open the report or you cannot make a conneciton to the BusinessObjects Web Serive (LO 02010)
I have access to the BOXI enviornment, reports and universes.
Still getting this issue. Works fine on MS Office 2007
Any idea why this may be occuring? Anything that I need to check?

You will need to create a new DSN for the Excel 2007 files when using them as the datasource. You need to go into your ODBC administrator and add a new entry for the new format of Excel files. When you click on Add, there should be an entry for Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls, *.xlsx, *.xlsm, *.xlsb) . You may also need to delete your old Excel entry first.

But I think you want to have some details about the integration.
More or less there doesn't exist any posibility to customize this.
You can define some commands like in CLP "Send Mail" but you have to write your own java code for starting ms communicator with the selected user.
On the other hand there exists from MS as well a Communicator Web Access (CWA). This is like OWA a web application. So you can integrate CWA via a URL iView.

SmartView disables the "Save As" Function in MS Excel 2007 / Vista

Does anyone know how to get around this issue? I have Vista and Office 2007. When SmartView is installed, it does not allow me to use the "Save As" Function in Excel. SmartView has now rendered my Excel to be useless. Thank you Oracle.

Printing for Microsoft Excell on HP Pro 8620

Just installed my new Printer (HP pro 8620) and everytime I go to print anything using microsoft excell,it starts to print and then quickly says "Caneling Printing"on the screen of my Printer..Why?

I understand you installed your HP Officejet pro 8620, but you cannot print from Microsoft Excell, and I am happy to help you with this printing issue!
There could be a number of reasons why it will not print. But I am sure we can figure it out!
For further assistance, I will need to know the following:
If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is able to make copies.
If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
In the meantime, please take a look through this guide. Print Jobs are Stuck in the Print Queue.

I need a "hide" script for Microsoft Excel

Hi. I just "upgraded" everything, new Intel based Macbook Pro, and Office 2008 for Macs. Why did I upgrade? Good question! Anyways, when I used Office 2004 for macs, I used a macro to hide several rows so that I could view information in a condensed format. then, I would unhide, and have the entire spreadsheet once again.
I am new to applescript, and have been trying to absorb as much as I can. So far, I wrote a script that can select and range, and fill in a color.
Anyways, I need a script that can hide several rows (ranges?) in a spreadsheet, and then a script to unhide them again.

Implementing file "Save as" functionality for file download api

Hi,
I want to implement File Download (Open/Save as/Cancel dialogue box) programmatically.
I am displaying list of links to document in a web dynpro table and I dont want to set IWDResource data for all entries in table.
And on Click of a button/link to action, I want to open up a File download box.
I have URL to the file with me and I'm able to convert it to IWDResource.
Following are the things available with me for a selected file:-
-- Complete name of file along with extension
-- byte[] of file.
