Actual versus published photo delivery times

Out of curiousity, what are other iPhoto users seeing as their "average" processing and delivery times for photo orders placed in the U.S. and shipped with "standard shipping"? According to Apple's page here:
http://store.apple.com/us/help/print_products#Shipping
It seems to indicate that orders PROCESS within 2-4 business days and then SHIPPING takes approximately 3-5 business days for delivery.
In my most recent case, the prints shipped the next day and once it made it to my town, sat in a DHL warehouse for 3+ business days (5 days total) until it was handed over to the USPS. I'm now two days past that point and I still don't have my prints.
The sad thing here is that I ordered those prints the day my dog passed away. I actually get her remains back from the vet faster than I've gotten these prints.
So again, what are other people seeing? Thanks.

Now that we have iWeb
HomePage doesn't work the way it used to,
It's not Homepage but iPhoto that doesn't work the way it used to. If you go back to iPhoto 5 you can do things as before I think.

  • Book Delivery Times

How many days longer has anyone seen between express and standard delivery for books?

It might help with questions like this if you mention where on the planet you actually are. The delivery times vary from country to country.

  • Photo Card Delivery Time

Have to say, I am very dissapointed with the delivery times for ordering photo cards through iPhoto in the UK. I am still waiting after over 2 weeks from placing my order and now am not gonna have it in time for what it was intended for.
I know that the guidance states 10 days from date of printing but the printing seemed to take over a week (for a card?). Now if Apple wants to be a market leader in this field then they need to pull there finger out cos this will be the last time I order anything through iPhoto (I know from experience I can order prints through Wanadoo and they will be put through my letterbox the next working day).
I have left feedback with Apple to this effect but am not expecting much to change.
    Moan over.

    Paul,
I totally endorse this sentiment. I ordered some invitation cards for my daughter's birthday on Feb 7th. The page you visit when ordering says, "usually ships within 4-5 business days". I took this to mean that about a week from ordering to receipt would be in order. I am still without the items and when I queried this with Apple they say I have to allow ANOTHER 10 business days for shipment. That's 15 business days - or three weeks - in total. I have no idea where they ship from, and by what method, but pigeon post from the other side of the world wouldn't take that long.
In my own case I am looking at £90 worth of invitations that will arrive too late. I have told Apple that because their site failed to mention the delivery times (in fact, actually misled, although not deliberately I am prepared to believe), I will be looking to them for a full refund.
My beef is not the three weeks as such; it's the failure to mention this anywhere during the ordering stage.

  • Photo Delivery Failed - then iPhone sends 6-8 copies of the Photo

Photo Delivery Failed - then iPhone sends 6-8 copies of the Photo, each a minute a part?
iPhone 3G ver 2.1, happens on edge & 3G, wifi seems to handle the photo
these are pics shot from the iPhone 3G itself, any ideas?

Help! I have the same issue. I use YAHOO. When I send a photo from my iPhone, it gives an error message "Photo Delivery Failed". I click ok. The Photo was actually sent to the email address even though I had the error message. Next time I unlock the iPhone, I see the Photo Delivery Failure message again. The iPhone then proceeds to send multiple copies of the photo to the email address. I cannot stop it from sending duplicates.
    Any suggestions?

  • Problem publishing Photo page with iWeb 08

    Hello,
I have a problem when publishing photo pages with iWeb 08. Upload starts and then I get the error message that iWeb encountered a problem while publishing. The funny thing is that I can see
the photo page in Safari. The only problem is that when starting the slide show I can not see the
forward/backward buttons. Publishing a photo page with iWeb from a .me web photo gallery works without any error message, but still when starting the slideshow the navigation buttons are not displayed. Actually if you click on the place where the navigation buttons are supposed to be,
you can go picture forward/backward. Any idea ?

I am having the same issue, except I do not get any error messages when publishing to a folder. Clicking on the "index" file within the folder will open the photo page in both Safari and Firefox. Everything functions as designed except no forward/backward/pause buttons are visible below the slideshow. There are text box outlines with a question mark where these buttons are supposed to be located, and I can pause, advance or reverse slides. Eventually these question mark outlines disappear and stay disappeared.
The end result is there are no intuitive graphic indicators on the slide show to even suggest to the viewer that he/she has some control over the presentation. I don't believe I can add explanatory text boxes to the slide show to compensate for the missing icons. This lack of visible control elements in the slide show is a huge issue. I am reasonable sure the problem does not reside within my computer. I've also reviewed inspector control options for a photo page/slide show and haven't gotten any combination of check boxes to make a difference.
I'm beginning to think this may be an unexpected conflict that was contained within a recent software update. It might well be worth a close look at programming code by Apple technicians. In the meantime, can anyone offer a clue as to what might be going on?

  • Delivery times for iwatch

I Have recently ordered a new iwatch on 12/04/2015 obviously I wasn't expecting delivery on the 24/04/2025 but was a little shocked that delivery is now estimated
for the month of June. I then started to get buyers remorse and was contampating cancelling my order online - I've now changed my mind having visited an apple shop today successfully booking an appointment whilst in store meant only a five minute wait to try one on.
It is absolutely brilliant and can't wait for mine to arrive.
what do you think the chances are of my delivery time coming forward?

As someone is sure to point out, we are all users like yourself - not Apple employees - so it is just guesses on our parts. However I have recently read several articles that implied (either through their own guesswork or actual sources in Apple) that a lot of those June delivery dates are probably going to be earlier than originally estimated.

  • Publish Photo refuses to work

Hi all, I've done a bit of troubleshooting and still cannot resolve this issue. I was trying to load an iphone photo to my mobileme gallery today and it would not work, would not connect. It would give me the following message:
"Check your MobileMe name and password in settings."
I did so, even deleting my password and re-entering it. Got the same message. Checked my mail on the phone and that worked. So, it is connecting somehow. Read this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1672
Tried to do the locate, after enacting "push" (which I never use per battery drainage concerns) and that did not work. Could not locate my phone. Turned off the wi-fi I was on in my office, trying to get it through via 3G. So, it actually let me get to the publish page at this point, HOWEVER, at the bottom in the account section, it just perpetually reads "loading." Never actually connects. Went back to mail again...again it was able to retrieve mail. The password that lets me into my mail is working, and should be the same password across the board, so why am I suddenly having issues with publishing to mobile me? I did restart the phone. That didn't resolve the issue. I've tried all I can, still no joy. It does connect, and pull mail, when in mail on my mobile me account, so what gives with publishing. I cannot get it to connect either on 3G or wifi. Just constantly get "Unable to connect to MobileMe" when trying to upload a photo. Oh, and this has worked in the past, if that matters. I have a whole gallery of successfully published iPhone photos. Any clues? Thanks.

Allan, deleting the account worked. It was weird however. When I first reset it, tried to reestablish the account on the phone, it set it up, but showed the account "inactive." So, that was certainly an unanticipated surprise. I did some searching and found a number of people who also had .mac accounts show as "inactive" on their phone and had to go through the process of setting up a new password. I did so on .mac, deleted the account on the phone again, then re-established it with the new password and suddenly it worked. And not only did it work, but publishing photos to mobileme worked as well. That whole process doesn't seem to make any sort of sense, but after some hurdles, it's now working. Thanks!

  • Strange behavior in purchasing concerning delivery time

    Hi,
We have noticed a strange thing when it comes to purchasing. We have a delivery cycle stating deliveries for a material on tuesday and thursday.
If I order today, a Thursday, and we have 2 days of delivery time the system proposes Tuesday as delivery time. That is fine.
If I have a 3 day delivery time the system also proposes Tuesday, which is also fine.
But if I have 4 days delivery time I would expect the system to propose Thursday as delivery date. I would have said Friday(1), Monday(2), Tuesday(3), Wednesday(4) and since we don´t get deliveries on Wednesday we get the goods on Thursday.
But the system proposes Tuesday and I have to use a 6 day delivery time to get to Thursday. Clearly our system are using also the weekend when it calculates the proposed delivery time.
I have checked our calendar settings and we only have Monday to Friday as working days.
We get a problem with this functionality. If we have a leadtime of 2 days and deliveries all five days in the week both orders created on thursday and friday will have monday as delivery day, but only the goods actually ordered on Thursday will arrive on Monday. The other of course on Tuesday. So we have to trick the system by removing Tuesday from the delivery calendar. And then we cannot use MRP for the vendors with materials of that particular setting, since then we will not get deliveries on Tuesday.
Can I, by some setting,  tell the system to skip weekend when proposing delivery time? We are on a Retail system ECC6.0 and are using the planning workbench, WWP1/2, if that gives ant more ideas for action.
    best regards,
    Glenn Karlsson

Unfortunately, in MM-PUR you have to use 7 day work week for delivery scheduling. It is not possible to eliminate weekends like you would in production scheduling using the factory calendar.

  • IPhoto 11: how to reveal shared/published photos in bulk?

How can I reveal, easily and quickly, which photos... out of thousands... have been shared/published?
The only place I can find that info is in the side bar, but publication information appears for only one photo at a time. I have to go through my libraries in bulk.
I have a couple massive iPhoto 11 libraries (+35,000 photos and videos, in each) on two Macs.
(I have a couple of young kids... there are a lot of family photos.)
These libraries each exceed 300 gb, and the computers are groaning under the weight... at this point, iPhoto isn't performing any better than iTunes.
I have back ups, but I want to reduce these libraries to managable sizes... once.
Because iPhotos syncs with flickr and facebook, I don't want to accidentally delete shared/published photos.
At the moment, my working solution is a smart list that excludes renamed and edited photos, and renaming unwanted photos to easily identify and delete in bulk, but it's not a perfect solution.
    Many thanks.

There is no easy way do do what you want. Send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
Rather than renameing those photos bound for the Trash bin try using a keyword or flag them. Adding a keyword to multiple photos at one time is rather easy:  select the photos, type Command+K to bring up the Keyword pane and click on the keyword you want to add.
I don't know what success you've had in deleting large qualtities of photos at one time but be aware many have problems with large deletions.  The general reponse to those that do is to delete is batches of 100-200 at a time. Just a heads up.

  • Question regarding over ONE MONTH delivery time?

    Hello all,
I am aware of the W-Series shipping thread, but it hasn't been updated in some time so I wasn't sure it was still active. Others complained there of long and inaccurate delivery times, but others had the inverse experience - so I thought I would ask anyway.
I purchased a W520 online earlier today, but checking my order status tonight reports that the laptop itself is scheduled for a ship date of the first of May. Assuming I allow only a week for the delivery to actually arrive, it means I'm waiting over a month for my purchase to arrive. This seems like a very long time!
When I purchased the laptop, the site reported an estimated ship date of April 17th. Ten days until the hardware ships is resonable for this type of purchase. A thirty day wait is not (especially when there was no warning of backorder or delay when I made the purchase). Had I known upfront the estimated delay would be so bad, I never would have made the purchase. Now I understand that the delivery date provided during purchase is an estimate, and in no way a guarantee, but the delta between the two dates has me concerned. It took quite a bit of research for me to get over the purported SSS issue, and that buying a Lenovo was still a smart move - but once again I'm starting to worry.
My hope is that the estimated ship date listed under my Order Status will change to a date that is closer to the date given during the purchase, and that I won't be waiting a moon cycle to get my new W520. The purchase was made less than twenty-four hours ago, and although Lenovo said it will only take six hours for my Order Status to populate, I'm hoping this is simply a calculation error. Why I am truly worried and am bothering to post this question, however, is that other items I purchased in the same order DO have realistic ship and delivery dates. I ordered a sleeve to accompany my W520, and my Order Status is already reporting that it will ship 4/8 and be delivered 4/13. If this is accurate, and it does seem plausible, it makes it more likely my W520 estimated ship date is also accurate. And that is basically unacceptable.
Has anyone recently purchased/received a W520, and if so how long was the delivery delay? Am I (hopefully) correct in assuming the May first ship date is simply an early calculation by the Order Status page and will be updated to reflect a more realistic ship/delivery date? Has anyone else experienced an issue with early estimates of ship date on their Order Status being inaccurate and abnormally long?
My specs are i7-2640M, 15.6" FHD (1920x1080), Quadro 2000M, 8 GB RAM, 320GB Hard Disk Drive (7200rpm). Everything else was stock.
Thanks in advance for any insight or help. Here is to hoping I won't have to cancel this order because of what should be an easily avoidable issue.
    ~G

We don't see many users showing up here in the forum with new W520 machines right now, which may indicate sales are slow, which naturally makes you wonder why the wait is so long to ship new W520 orders. But someone just caught a store in the Netherlands accidentally featuring the new Lenovo Ivy Bridge/Kepler laptops (also see here) in their online store for sale.
So if the detailed ordering info for the new machines is at the retailer level right now, then Lenovo will likely announce the new laptops on or just after April 29, when Intel is expected to officially release the new Ivy Bridge processors. And it also means Lenovo has probably diverted much of its current production resources to building the new machines for the release.
That may explain the W520 shipping delays, although it's certainly a pain in the rear for anyone who wants to buy one of the current models, before they go out of stock. Anyway, a little buzz is always entertaining--that's certainly what makes the Apple world go round (the Apple forums are rife with about 150 pages of Ivy Bridge buzz, vs. almost nothing here in the W-series forum, so this forum may be asleep).
I'm dying to see test results of Nvidia's killer GTX 680M Kepler-based mobile graphics processor (and workstation sibling) when it finally comes out, although that may take a bit longer (and may only ship in 17" machines). But it should have roughly 3.4 times the performance of the Quadro 2000M.

  • Simoultaneous planned delivery time (MRP)

    Dear Experts,
I would like to set my MRP for material purchases in order that I can have 2 different lead times, depending on the route (air/sea)
For instance, if MRP can supply enough material with 1kg or less, then it should take a shorter lead time for it would be air freight than if the minimum necessary was more than 1 kg. (Actual freight lead times= air 60 days, sea 90 days)
    Best regards
    Marco Aramini

    Hello Marco
It is possible to have different lead times for different vendors on MRP.
On the customizing transaction OPPQ, choose the option "external procurement" and make sure that the flag "scheduling: info rec agreement" is set.
With this setting, the planned delivery time is read from the info record or from the scheduling agreement.
After that, you should create a quota arrangement for both vendors (see note 1508647 for details).
On the quota arrangement, you can use the minimum and maximum size to define that the source will only be selected if the lot size is higher than 1KG or smaller than 1 kg.
If have a more complex logic to select the vendor, you can use BAdI MD_MODIFY_SOURCE.

  • Average delivery time for MacBooks to Europe.

I've read quite a few posts (and written a couple myself) where people complain about TNT's delivery times. Now, being sick at home and waiting for my MacBook to make it out of China I was wondering:
If you live in Europe and have already received your MacBook, how many days did you have to wait from ordering it and actually receiving it?

  • Estimating Delivery Time

I am trying to run a formatted search to display a simple estimated delivery time for each line item in my sales order.  My query is as follows:
    SELECT (CASE
              WHEN (T0.OnHand - T0.IsCommitted) > 0
                   THEN (DocDate + T0.LeadTime)
              WHEN (T0.OnHand - T0.IsCommitted) <= 0
                   THEN (DocDate + 5 + T0.LeadTime)
         END)
    FROM OITM
    WHERE T0.ItemCode = $[$38.1.0.0]
This query errors out, any ideas?

Actually, I think we get 1 row with a NULL value. My bet is that we have NULL in T0.LeadTime.
    Try this:
    SELECT (CASE
    WHEN (T0.OnHand - T0.IsCommited) > 0
    THEN dateadd(Day, COALESCE(T0.LeadTime,0), GetDate())
    WHEN (T0.OnHand - T0.IsCommited) <= 0
    THEN dateadd(Day, (5 + COALESCE(T0.LeadTime,0)), GetDate())
    END)
    FROM OITM T0
    WHERE T0.ItemCode = $[$38.1.0.0]

  • Publishing photos on Facebook

I have done this so many times before without a problem and as it is so simple you would wonder why I have a problem!
I tried publishing photos to Facebook this evening but the "publish" button is greyed out so I am unable to.
Now - is it an iPhoto problem or a FB problem.
    What can I do?

  • ICloud publish photos from photo stream?

I had about 7,000 photos on my camera roll and since I was running low on storage, I was advised to move everything to icloud photo streams and delete the photos on the camera roll. I am trying to publish photos from my photo stream now and I can click publish and share the link (so I can have them on my computer)- however, when I go to the link, it is an empty gallery with only the title. Am I missing something? Thanks

With that many photos it may take some time to populate the server.  Give it some time and see if that resolves things.
Another option is to save the photo stream photos back to the camera roll, then import them to your computer using your usb cable, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.  Or, even more conveniently, use an app like PhotoSync to transfer copies to your computer directly from your photo stream over your wifi.
