  • Adapter Engine not visible in SLD, RWB and Directory

    Hi all,
I have problem with the registration of the adapter engine in my sld. When I search for it in Technical Systems doesn´t appears.
I have implemented SAP notes 764176 and 804124 and it doesn´t work.
My system is SAP PI 7.0 and the SLD is configured on a differente machine. The SAP PI machine can reach SLD machine (is not network problem).
    Any suggestions?
    Thank for your postings.

    Hi -
Do you have your SLD Data Supplier service (within Visual Admin tool) for PI Java server pointed to the host of the SLD machine?   If so, you should at least see a Technical System (type Web AS Java) for your PI system in your SLD.
    Regards,
    Jin

  • Adapter Engine not found in SLD

    hi all -
BASIS applied this note SAP note- 764176 and when we stopped and restarted adapter engine service->
    sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app.
We did not see the Adapter Engine back in SLD.
Any reason why its not showing?
    Thanks,
    Tirumal

    Hi,
    a)Start transaction SXI_CACHE.
b)From the context menu XI Runtime Cache select Start Complete Cache Refresh.
If you still face issue try this .
Many actions require to access System Landscape Directory content from the Integration Builder. To optimize performance, this content is loaded into a cache so that the System Landscape Directory does not have to be accessed directly each time that System Landscape Directory content is required.
However, this cache is not automatically updated if changes are made to the content of the System Landscape Directory. For this reason that we delete the System Landscape Directory cache if changes have been made to content in the System Landscape Directory. The cache is then filled each time that the System Landscape Directory is accessed. If we log on to the Integration Builder after we have made a change in the SLD, we do not need to delete the SLD cache.
To clear the SLD cache, from the Integration Builder main menu, choose Environment ® Delete Cache for SLD Data.
Once we have deleted the cache for SLD data, accessing objects in the SLD may take longer than usual initially.

  • Why my Local Adapter Engine not showed in SLD and Integration Directory?

    Hi guru,
I have installed one Local Adatper Engine on Host B, then an XI is installed on Host A, but After I installed the local adapter engine and follow the standard configration step mentioned in this document:https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/307deae3-604e-2a10-feae-f016fb9cadd4.
After the configuration is done, I restart the local adatper engine, but this local adapter engine is not showed in integration directory.
    what is the problem?

The post-installation configuration steps are not complex, I exactly followed.
what other reason could it be? have any guru configured local adapter engine before?

    Hello!
Apply the note below according to your system version:
999962 - PI 7.10: Change passwords of PI service users
936093 - XI 7.0: Changing the passwords of XI service users

  • Ping error in RWB for J2SE Adapter Engine

    Hi,
we have several external J2SE adapter engines and they function great other than from a monitoring perspective. In RWB "Ping Status" I'm getting the following:
HTTP request failed. Error code: "401". Error message: "Authorization Required"
    Suggestions?
    Cheers,
    Mattias

<u>This is not an answer to your question.</u>
I've tried to get an answer for: how to register J2SE adapter with Integration Server ?
I tried using SLDAccess service on J2SE adapter with no luck (with this J2SE Adapter Engine is registered in the SLD). My J2SE adapter was never available in the configuration means, in the communication channel ex: file adapter, for the adapter engine drop down all I have is Integration Server, my J2SE adapter was never listed there.
If you know an answer please post.
    thanks

  • Error: Unable to find any Adapter Engines

    Hi all,
I am trying to execute a very simple scenario.
A xml-file is read from a drive by the XI system.
    XI reads the values.
Another xml-file containing some parts of this info is written to another location.
I see that the file is read and removed.
However, when I check the monitoring I find follwing error message:

    </SAP:Error>
    Is there some configuration missing?
    We are running XI3.0 SP9.
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards

    Hi Geert,
My first guess is that something is not configured correctly. Try checking if your adapter engine is registered in the SLD:
In a browser, goto http://host:port/sld. Choose Technical Landscape. Under Technical System Type, select Exchange Infrastructure. You should have an entry like:
    "Adapter Engine on cx1.cernum05"
If not, check the settings in Visual Administrator for the SLD Provider service and test the update from here.
Also check your receiver communication channel. Under Adapter Engine, it should say "Integration Server". If it says e.g. af.cx1.cernum05, your SLD has not been updated correctly.
    Regards,
    Thorsten

  • Unable to determine name of central adapter engine

We have a central SLD set up. I am now moving some configuration and testing from our dev environment to our qa environment. When I do a cache notification from the Integration Directory I receive a message stating that "Unable to determine the name of the central Adapter Engine from the System Landscape Directory". When I look under the technical system type of Exchange Infrastructure of the system landscape directory I do not see the Adapter Engine of my QA or Production environment. I only see one central adapter engine listed. That of my development environment. It will not let me define another technical system to add these adapter engines because the button New Technical System is grayed out. How do I get these adapter engines defined in the SLD?
    Thanks,
    Jim

I also had the same problem. But when I opened Integration Directory and Repository from the links, it got added to the Technical system under Exchange Infrastructure. Only Adapter Engine was not getting added.
But after applying the note 764176. Adapter Engine added to SLD and after refreshing cache now Adapter Engine also got added to RWB components.
Only one problem now - in Message monitoring, If I select Adapter Engine from the drop down, I get page cannot be displayed. Is it due to the fact that I dont have any adapters configured?? and also no messages available for that matter?? as it is a fresh box..

  • Adapter Engine missing in SLD and RWB

    Hi all,
I have no Adapter Engine in RWB or under technical systems in the SLD.
In Integration Directory I have "central adapter engine" in the adapter engine field in my File adapter .
But I get this message when I open the communication Channel:
"No SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found"
    Please advice,
    Thanks!

    Hi Thomas,
Your Adapter Framework is probably not registered in the SLD. You may force the
registration if you perform the action as follows:
    1. In the J2EE administrator tool in cluster - server - services - deploy
(application view), stop the J2EE applications:
    a. sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.monitor
    b. sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.
    2. Restart the sap.com/com.sap.aii.af application.
Refer sapnote in chapter 8.2 for more in the link provided below on Trouble shooting.

  • Versin iformation for adapter engine is missing in the SLD

    Hi,
Just imported my Integration Directory  changes into receiving PI System and have come to do the manual activation of the change lists that was asked for. When I do I get the activation cancelling with a message that a communication channel cannot be validated as the version info for the adapter engine is missing in the SLD.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do to get past this problem ?
    Many thanks,
    Ross

    Hello Ross,
It looks compatability problem with the Adapter engine and CC.
Check the system information and apply required patches if require. May be you can go to SAP raising a message.

  • PI 7.11 - Configuration: Adapter Engines Not found

    Hi,
We have a PI 7.11 System that is connected to a central SLD. There are also two PI 7.0 systems connected to this SLD. If i open a communicationChannel i get following message:
Adapter Engines Not foundNo SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
If i look in the SLD Technical Systems (Exchange Infrastructure), i see the three PI systems but only the Adapter Engines of the two PI 7.0 systems.
How can i check if the adapter engine is up and running and if it has correctly been registered by my SLD. Are there any documentation according this configuration?
    Thanks in advance

It seems adapter engine is not registered properly. For more details, please refer to the following sap notes:

who can help me solve this problem.
    thank you in advance.

    Hi cheng,
Kindly check if you have set theparameter 'com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.sld.name' in your
Exchange Profile, since it's not set by default. Open note #1278563 and follow the procedures.
And you may check the following notes:
#1031321 - Self-Registration of Adapter Engine and RWB fails
#1334053 - No automatic PI 7.10 SLD Registration (Here you'll see the note 764176 which you have already applied and also the note #1117249).
In RWB, is the adapter Engine "red light"? If yes, what is the specific error?

  • Non-central adapter engine not visable in integration builder

    ls,
I have a pi system and a separate non-central adapter engine. After installing i did all the post actions including the following part:
5.13 Clearing the SLD Data Cache after Installing a Non-central Advanced Adapter Engine
When you have installed a non-central Advanced Adapter Engine, you need to manually clear the SLD Data Cache in the Integration Builder to make it visible and selectable in the communication channels.
    Procedure
    1.
After SAPinst has finished, open the Integration Builder of your PI system at http://<host>:<port>/dir/start/index.jspIntegration Directory and logon as a user with the ABAP role SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR assigned.
    2.
In the Integration Builder, choose Environment.
    3.
From the drop-down list, choose Clear SLD Data Cache.
(as described in: Installation GuideAdapter Engine (Java EE) 7.1 Including Enhancement Package 1 on Windows: MS SQL ServerTarget)
However when creating a communication channel in the integration builder there is only the central adapter engine to choose in parameter tab screen.
I was hoping maybe some-one knows what else need to be done to make de non-central known as adapter engine.
    thanks in advance
    Peter

    HI,
with user PIDIRUSER i was indeed able to refresh the af cache. Unfortunately without a positive
Under the runtime workbench (http://<host>:<port>0/rwb/index.jsp) tab sld registration i don't see the ae neither under non-central components. If i try to register i get:
Registration of Adapter Framework with SLD was successful
Registration of fix AF adapter services with the SLD was successful
Registration of dynamic CPA cache based AF adatper services with SLD was successful
but no AAE...although it is visible in the SLD under technical systems...
