Adapter Enine monitoring with GUI

Hi
I'm stuck with situation where RWB is is broken (some java stuff) but otherwise XI (ver 3.0) is ok.
I would need to see some asynchronous messages and to resend them but as GUI is my only tool at the moment there seems no way of resending a asynchronous message (in RWB message monitoring it is fairly simple).
Is there some transaction to manage Adapter Engine's message queue in GUI? Or is there same quirks in SXMB_MONI?
Thanks,
Heiko

No, you cannot apply it because this will change the status of the message in the integration engine (ABAP), but if the error is in the adapter engine (Java) then you will not solve the problem, you will just duplicate the message in error there.
Additionally I doubt that a second message with the same id and direction sent to the adapter engine will result in an error at db side.
Which kind of problems are you having with the RWB?
Kind Regards,
Sergio

  • Mini dvi to dvi adapter not working with monitor

arright *** i got a mini dvi to dvi adapter which is connected to my vga monitor through a vga to dvi adapter. The computer recognizes the monitor in display preferences, but the monitor doesn't display anything it just sits in standby mode... any ideas why this isn't working? You'd think if the problem was going from vga-vga to dvi adapter-dvi to mini dvi adapter that it wouldn't even recognize the monitor but it does.
well that *****, back to best buy to get the other one. Reason i got the dvi one is because i plan on getting a different monitor with dvi soon. But noo dvi adapter wont work with vga adapters.
    Message was edited by: Veiss

The mini-DVD to DVI adapter doesn't pass through the analog video signals needed for VGA, so won't work with a DVI to VGA adapter. All the control signals are there, so the display is recognized, but there will be no picture.
They could have used a DVI-D connector on the adapter, instead of DVD-I, so the DVI to VGA adapter wouldn't even plug in, but then it couldn't be used with some non-Apple LCDs, that use DVD-I connecters.

  • I am considering a Apple iMac but would be interested in adding a second monitor. Does it have to be an Apple monitor or can i add any monitor with a thunderbolt cable and DVI or vGA adapter?

I found that the Thunderbolt input accepts the mini-DVI (in my case converter to VGA for a tutorial use monitor)
BUT, you have to really oush it in 'til it clicks.  I thought it too loose until I tried it.  works just fine!!
i get a solved for my own  LOL

  • Adapter Monitoring with CCMS

    Hi,
is there anybody who already set up an adapter monitoring  with CCMS using the alert framework of Runtime Workbench ?
    Background:
When using the existing MTE's in CCMS (J2EE Monitor Templates - All Systems - <SID> - J2EE Applications - SAP XI Adapter Engine) only rare monitoring information related to XI messages are posted.
What I would like to see are information about the adapters provided in the logfiles of each adapter.
For example as soon there's a permission problem for a directory in File Adapter an alert in CCMS should be raised.
    I already checked SAP notes 870232, 913858 and 824039.
    Any feedback appreciated.
    Cheers,
      Juergen

    Hi,
You can configure the CCMS as per the following two blogs,
    Part 1: /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/24/xi-configuring-ccms-monitoring-for-xi-part-i
    Part 2: /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/12/05/xi-grmg-customizing-for-xi-ccms-heartbeat-monitoring-part-ii
Configure the Alert Framework with the below Blog as reference,
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step
Then forward the Alerts created in the CCMS to Alert Frame work, the required steps are given in the below help links.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/3f/567ddea69d3d4c93a6aedabd08899e/frameset.htm
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/30/62e77b2f4865488a866d4103923a93/frameset.htm
Then any alerts that gets generated in CCMS can be passed to the Alert Category kept configured in the Alert Framework.
    Hope this helps you

  • How do I use two external monitors with my laptop?

I have a new Pavilion dm4-301 d cl Entertainment PC.   My OS is Windows 7.   I am used to using two external monitors with a docking station.   This new laptop does not have a docking station.  What do I need to get  to use two external monitors?

Certainly not without a dock but even with, HP laptop docks pretty well limit you to one of the external monitor ports, even if there are two on the dock. We have used a device called an Atlona AT-HDPIX2 which is a usb to hdmi adapter. It provides a third monitor capability for a laptop....use the native external monitor port and the internal laptop display and then this device gives a third monitor which is full configurable from the Windows 7 display interface...clone, extend, etc. It allows full HD resolution and is responsive enough for even light gaming.  HP makes no true docking station for your laptop.

  • Using ADC Monitor with the new Mac Mini

My husband has an Apple monitor with an ADC connection. I would like to purchase the new Mac Mini, but would like to use his current monitor. I know there is an ADC to DVI adapter, but the new Mac Mini uses the Mini Display...could I use yet another adapter? I am trying to save money, but don't want to the display quality to be really poor. Space is not an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have located that, but my concern is the DVI connection to the Mini Display connection on the Mac Mini. My understanding is that they are different.

  • How to use  two monitors with my Mac mini

    Hello,
I have a Mac mini and using a 20" Samsung Monitor with it which works well. I also have my 40" LCD Samsung telly, set up next to it. Whenever i watch a DVD using my Mac i have to swap over the cables. Is there a way of getting the right cables etc and making it so i would be able to watch a dvd on the 40" and still use the 20" surfing the net etc. I had a similar set up with my old windows laptop, but cant seem to work out how do it with the mac. Both monitors have modern sockets, the 40in has HDMI/DVI IN and AGV, the 20" has AGV and HDCP/DVI IN. Many thanks.

To the best of my knowledge there is no way to use dual displays on the Mini. You may be able to find some adapter that will allow you to physically connect two displays, but they will be mirrored, not spanned.
To do what you describe would take spanning, which the Mini is not capable of doing. Unless something has changed recently,..

  • Can I use the HDMI out on a HP ALL IN ONE TOUCHSCREEN Desktop to connect a second monitor with HDMI

Can I use the HDMI out on a HP ALL IN ONE TOUCHSCREEN Desktop to connect a second monitor with HDMI  in without any additional  software or graphics adaptor.  I have a 520-1070
HP - 23" Touch-Screen TouchSmart All-In-One Computer - 8GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive ? I used a HDMI to HDMI cable and the monitor was not  recognized.

Here are the specs for your HP TouchSmart 520-1070 Desktop Computer. As previously stated your computer Doesn't have a HDMI output, instead it has a HDMI input. This is designed to let you connect a game console, a DVD/Bluray player, etc. to use as a monitor.
If you wish to conect a second monitor to your computer, you will need to use a USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 or EVGA UV Plus+ UV19. Using an adapter like these with the touch feature of your computer may cause issues with pointer control and you may need to disable the touch feature to use "extended desktop".

  • If I buy an external monitor (with a res of 2560x1440) will my early 2011 MacBook Pro work ok? And will it be utilising the monitors full res or not?

    Hi,
I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro. I use Premiere Pro CS5 to video edit on. It's fine but when it comes to grading it's nearly impossible on such a small screen.
I'd like to buy a 27inch external monitor (Asus, Samsung, Dell, whatever - haven't decided yet) for when I'm editing at work (which is most days). My query is regarding the resolutions. Obviously my MacBook Pro displays a resolution of 1280x800, so if I buy a monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440 for example, what gets displayed?
And also does the connecting cable make any difference? For example, if I'm connecting by Thunderbolt out to HDMI, then an HDMI to HDMI cable to the external monitor, what happens then? Or should I be using a Mini Display Port to Display Port connecting lead?
I guess all I really want to know is, will it work? But also, am I wasting my money buying an external monitor with a 2560x1440 resolution? Should I just go for one that's the same res at my MacBook Pro?
I've never really understood how these things all work!
Thanks in advance for anyones help.
    Regards,
    Phil

I think it will work.  You would need a mini displayport to (single link) DVI adapter to hook up that monitor.
Not sure what kind of problems you had with the ViewSonic but I'm guessing the Dell is probably a better monitor anyhow.

  • Dual External Monitors with 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2011)

I'm looking for suggestions for using dual external monitors with new MacBook Pro's.  The company I work for has started to puchase these for certain employees and we are looking for any good suggestions.
It appears that the display/thunderbolt port should be able to support many devices but I have not seen any way to hook up multiple displays.  The idea is that these employees would be working with the macbook pro screen closed while in the office and use dual displays.  The only option that I can find is to use a usb device to output video to a second display.  I don't really like that because my experience with these devices is that they usally present a display lag and I know our graphic designers would never go for that.
One employee suggested that he use the VGA adapter and then get a VGA splitter.  I'm not exacty certain that would work though. Wouldn't that just mirror the display on two screens instead of allowing an extended desktop?  Also it looks like expensive Apple displays have ports so that you can daisy chain thunderbolt devices out of those monitors but this company will not go for the cost of those displays.
Am I missing anything?  Any suggestions would be helpful.
    Thanks!

Look into the Matrox Dualhead2Go DP Edition. If it works with Thunderbolt Macs, it will support two identical 1920 x 1080 DVI monitors as one extended desktop. Verify with Matrox that it is Thunderbolt-compatible and will suit your purposes before ordering.
