Adapter integration

hi all,
i want to integrate BPEL & EIS(like SAP,Seibel,PeopleSoft...) using
Oracle AS adapters. In this case BPEL will talk to adapter 'n adapter will talk to EIS system.ie.
BPEL<=>Adapter<=>EIS
1) Now in Adapter<=>EIS communication do i need to provide security(authentication, data integrity and confidentiality ) or it will be provided by Adapter itself....??? 'n How adapter is communicating with EIS.
2) Can i use adapters into real B2B scenario...???
thanks
/mishit

You should look at the adapter concepts manuals.
For JCA based adapters, security is based on the JCA contract. Read the adapter concepts manual at
http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.htm
For the interconnect version (old ESB) read one of the specific adapter user guides at
http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/integrate.htm
Hope this helps,
Mark.

  • JCA adapter Integration with SOA suite

    Hi all,
Where can I find documentation or reference regarding integration of third party adapter with SOA suite?
There is an option of Third Party Adapter in SOA project of JDeveloper. When I drag it onto the composite.xml file, a window comes up asking for wsdl, jca files, etc. So I would like to know if there is any example or tutorial on how to integrate a third party adapter with SOA suite. Thanks.
    Regards,
    K.Hein

    Thanks Anuj!
It seems like a new way of integrating JCA adapter to SOA suite.
Actually, I was only aware of integrating as a third party adapter as mentioned in this article (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/luttikhuizen-adapters-091679.html) which require wsdl and jca files.
Are there any difference between those two approaches? Which would be the recommended approach for JCA adapter integration with SOA? Thanks again for your informative replies.

    Hi Reddy,
    We´ve got the following scenario:
    Exchange-Server (is always up)
    XI Mail-ReceiverAdapter
    I use IMAP4 to access the Outlook-Email-Box
Everything works fine. But some Emails aren´t processed.
I think it´s a problem between adapterframework and the integration engine?
There is no difference between the emails?
If you´ll need further informations ask me?

  • Problem Creating Partner Link for Adapter Integrating with Tuxedo using JCA

    Hi All,
This is the first time that I am working on integration tools. I will explain in brief the problem.
There will be a legacy system (Tuxedo) running which connect to legacy database for requests. I am able to connect to that legacy system using Attunity Studio for getting the response back. Which is working fine.
Now I want that to integrate with BPEL PM 10.1.2 using JCA. For this I followed this URL (http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/904/how_to/oc4j-jca-tux/onjava-jca.html). What happens here is, a simple servlet invokes a Session Bean that interacts the Attunity Server using the JCA. For that I am using oc4j container of BPEL PM 10.1.2. I could able to work it fine.
For working with BPEL, I have created synchronous process, when try to create Partner link using Adapter service from WSIL browser, it is not coming in.
Am I missed any important configuration at BPEL PM end.
For doing this a followed the "tutorial 2" @ http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/dev_support.html
In exact way, above provided tutorial 2 PDF, I failed at step "Configuring a BPEL Service to invoke the above Adapter Service" on page 11.
    Your help is highly appreciated
    Thanks
    Venkata

Something to note. I tried adding the same BPEL services as partner links to a new application and new project on two other developer's workstations, and the creation of the partner links were successful.

  • 3rd party adapter integration into XI

    Dear Experts
I wanted to know how 3rd party adapters are integrated into XI?

    Hi Dheer,
There many third party adapters available in market.
    One example is seeburger:
U need to follow the below steps for integration into XI:
For the same requirement you need to follow the below steps:
    1) First deploye the Std seeburger mapping provided by see burger on XI
    2) If you are using the AS2 adapter then you have to install the AS2 server on XI server.
    3) Once you install the std seeburger on SAP XI server you will see the AS2,X400,OFTPS,VAN adapter on XI ID.
    5) You need to call the std mapping in the adapter module which does the conversion from EDI to XML and XML to EDI.
if u need process then let me know I will send u the configuration threads which is required for integration.

    Brief about seeburger:
Seeburger adapters like OFTPS,AS2,X400 are used for B2B scenario where the file is coming through WAn network or mailbox. As XI dont have capability to convert the EDIFACT format file to XML the same work will be done by seeburger adapters.
The SEEBURGER Business Integration Converter (BIC) is an any-to-any format converter, used to translate EDI data and legacy data formats into XML and vice versa. It can also be used for complex, high performance XML-to-XML mappings or to interface to existing JDBC data sources.
    Supported EDI formats include:
    • ANSI
    • EDIFACT
    • INHOUSE
    • IDOC
    • XML Schema
    • XML DTD
    • CSV
    • Delimited Data
    • positional data
    • SWIFT
    • EANCOM
    and many more.
See for converting the EDI XML to EDI and XML-EDI you need to have a seeburger mapping program at the adapter module which does the conversion. For this module you need a BIC tool of seeburger which provides the different module program for EDI to XML and XML-EDI. This program needs to be deployed on XI and through adapter it has to be called for conversion.

  • Custom JCA Adapter integration with BPEL

The stock FTP Adapter provided with BPEL does not have a feature I require, so I am creating a custom JCA FTP adapter that does only one thing: when it is invoked, it polls a directory for any existing files, and then returns the number of files in that directory.
The Adapter Developer Cookbook ( http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/pdf/Adapter%20Development%20cookbook.pdf ) is about as clear as mud, and hasn't been updated for 10.1.3.
Are there any other resources that explain how you go from having your .java source files for your JCA adapter to having a working custom adapter in BPEL?

    Hello Tlwi,
I guess you already figured out of writing custom JCA adapter, do you mind sharing your thoughs or document you may have. I tried to follow the cookbook, but was really looking for sample template code which I can change to make my own adapter.
    Thanks,
    Chintan

  • Siebel new LDAP adapter integration with BI Publisher

    Hi All!!
We have configured our Siebel (8.1.1.3) security adapter with LDAP. BI Publisher is using Siebel security model.
We had to clone our AOM (fins_esn which is using the security adapter LDAP) to finsxx_esn because we are migrating the AD 2000 to 2008 (we are also changing the domain). The roll out will last 2 month, users will be migrated by branch, it wont be a big bang.
We have to generate a new LDAP security adapter to authenticate users who are logging to finsxx_esn to the AD 2008 (AD 2008 is on a diferent domain than AD 2000. This is working for application autehtication, no problems found here)
On a standalone environment report generation is working. But for a distributed environment (1 AOM, 1 NAOM, 1 Web Server) is not working.
Does anyone knows how to integrate to BI Publisher when you have two LDAP security adapters on Siebel Application? Or is there any authentication method to use instead of "Siebel Security" so as to achieve this?
    Regards

We actually ran into a similar problem where I work. I created a support web ticket for our issue and the response is that BIP 11G is not supported for integration with Siebel 8.1, or any other version for that matter. Oracle is currently working on a fix to integrated the latest version of Siebel with BIP.
There advice to me was to downgrade to BIP 10G for the time being.

  • Cisco CIM adapter integration for HTML link

    Hi,
We have 9.0 ucce and Cim 9.0 sytem in an integrated scenario.
We have a  query where a EIM system will get the agent id from a external/ third party (like a rest api or a html page) .Based on the agent id the mail should route to the prefered agent in UCCE.
We have configured the Data and the usage links in adapters but doesnt know how will the agent id will be captured in EIM and how can it be sent to UCCE.
Can any one comment on this.

CIM flow for sticky agent - When a NEW_TASK is created by CIM, it  adds the agent id ( If sticky agent is enabled, for EIM9 please go  through below link page 73. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/cisco_interaction_manager/cim_901/maintenance/cisco_im901_cce_userguide_administration.pdf
) in preferred agent tag in new_task request and  is sent to ICM. ICM script will read the data from preferred agent  value and assign the activity to that agent.
In your case you will have to validate if the value  fetched by adapter is = to the value logged in agent and avaliable and  set that Id in preferred agent in NT.
You can follow below link to contact our PS in case you need more help.

  • JCA 1.5 Resource Adapter integration

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a custom JCA 1.5 Resource Adapter that has to be integrated with the BPEL PM. I already have the JCA Resource Adapter done,
and I want to integrate it with BPEL. I'm following the document http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/pdf/Adapter%20Development%20cookbook.pdf, but I'm not able to make it work. Is there more documentation? any tutorial, example...
    Thanks,
    Miquel

    Hi Manfred,
This is the error page that I'm getting. Seems an internal BPEL PM error. I can't make the Audit Trail because I'm getting an error page, not the result page.
Yes, I have the CCI ManagedConnectionFactory deployed as eis/imEIS
What do you mean with the records must be of type XMLRecord? This is what the XMLRecordConverter has to do, no?
    To convert javax.resource.cci.Record <-> oracle.tip.adapter.api.record.XMLRecord
    Thanks for your help,

  • Adding New Adapter Integration Options

I want to add a couple of additional Integration Options to the PULL adapter. One of these will be a password and I want the textbox for the option to mask the entry (i.e. like the password logon option in the HFM adapter). I have had a bit of a dig around a can't see how this can be done, certainly not when adding the option in workbench and not in the adapter xml file. Is this handled in the aspx page and if so is it something that can be modified there or is it encapsulated in the server code behind the scenes?

Adding them isn't an issue, it's how to get masking of the password entry in the option text box. How would you achieve this when adding the option in tin the XML?

  • ???In-Line Microphone + Cassette Adapter = integrated car speakerphone???

Does anyone know if it would work to use this:
    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000V8RCTS/ref=ordcart_shr?encoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance
    or this:

with a cassette adapter like this:

to essentially make an integrated car speakerphone?

Well, I finally got around to stopping at Best Buy & picking up one of the Monster Cable SoniTalk adapters.
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9120426&st=monster+iPhone&lp=1&typ e=product&cp=1&id=1218027045791
    I'm using it with this:
    http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2361893
    & it works great.
I have the cassette adapter plugged into the jack in the SoniTalk & the SoniTalk plugged into the headphone jack on the iPhone. I've been leaving the microphone clipped to the cassette adapter right next to the deck & I've only had one complaint that I sounded a little far off. All it took to correct was to clip it to my seat belt.
I can now listen to audio + make & receive phone calls with the the iPhone with the sound coming through my car speakers.

  • Issue with Receiver MDM Adapter - Integrated Configuration

    Hi Experts,
My scenario is I need to pick a file from PI Directory and push it into MDM Ready folder.
The source file structure is ~ delimiter text file and at the receiving end , I need to push the same file as it is.
At the receiving side I have used MDM Adapter.
The issue at receiving side is:
I am receiving file with .xml extension with the same content as of source file but my requirement is .txt file.
    Please advise on this.
I am using SAP PI 7.31.
P.S.- I have not used FTP at the receiver side due to some other concerns.
    Thanks,
    Vivek Jain

    Hi Amit,
    Thanks for the reply.
Yes we had tested successfully via SOAP UI as well (forgot to mention that). We are getting back the expected response in SOAP UI without using any credentials. We got the same response when we tested it through OS commands from PI server.
The WS is hosted by the target system and they haven't maintained any credentials at their end. So when PI is trying to access, we don't need to provide any credentials. My question is, whether the target system should keep any credentials to send the synchronous response back to PI (java stack). We have tried that as well but since there aren't any logs, we are unable to verify whether the credentials are coming correctly.
The service interfaces are correct and PI configuration are OK. I will try the XPI inspector for logs as you have suggested.
    Thanks
    Justin

    Hi Ahmad,
The mail adapter works perfectly fine when I remove the Conversion Agent module from it. And the Conversion Agent module works perfectly fine with the File Adapter on the receiver side. So that authenticates that both the objects (Mail Adapter - receiver & Conversion Agent Serailizer module) are configured correctly as individual objects.
I have used the following parameters in the receiver mail adapter:
    PARAMETERS
    Transport Protocall: SMTP
    Message Protocall: XIPAYLOAD
    URL: smtp://xyz.com
    Content Encoding: Base64
    Keep Attachments: <TICKED>

    Module Name: localejbs/sap.com/com.sap.nw.cm.xi/CMTransformBean
    Type: Local EJB
    Module Key: 1

    Module key: 1
    ParameterName: TransformationName
    Parameter Value: <SerializerServiceName>

  • Oracle salesforce Adapter integration in SOA 11.7

I have implemented a scenario given in Chapter-5 of this pdf
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/adapters/documentation/ug-sfdcadapter-ps6-2104970.pdf
I am facing an issue while invoking Salesforce Adapter. My composite has a bpel process which invokes sales force adapter.
I have configured the adapter by following the pdf. I am trying to create an Account.

Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'create' failed due to: Error sending bytes: Unknown exception while transforming request message. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution. </summary>

    Hello,
Users connecting to salesforce using weblogic will have to do one of the
    following:
    1. Disable Host Name Checking.
    2. Upgrade to Weblogic 10.3.6+ and use the "Wildcarded Host Name Verifier"
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e13707/ssl.htm#CHDIEIEE
    3. Configure a custom host name verifier:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/security/ConfigureACustomHostNameVerifier.html
    Hope this helps.

  • Issue with Essbase adapter Integration

    Hi Experts,
I have installed & configured Essbase adapter ES11X-G4-H in Workbench client. I am able to map the Taget Dimensions in workbench but when I move to FDM webclient >Activities>Map>TargetEBAccount and browse for target values I recieve "Error: Essbase API Procedure: [EsbInit] Threw code: 1030803 - .At Line: 124"

Thanks for your reply. As you suggested
    On 64bit system
    <EPM_Oracle_Home>\bin-32;%ESSBASEPATH%\bin;<EPM_Oracle_Home>\Products\Essbase\EssbaseClient-32\bin
Path variable set accordingly as I mentioned in my first post:
    starting with:E:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\bin-32;E:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\EssbaseRTC\11.1.2.0\bin
    ends with: E:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseClient-32\bin
Please let me know if I am getting this wrong.
