Add a batch or its shortcut to Windows 8 Taskbar

Hello,
I would like to pin somethings to my taskbar, using powershell (so that using GPO I can customize my domain users settings).
I'm experiencing some issue, trying to pin a batch file or its shortcut:
Checking Its "Verbs", I don't see "Pin from Tas&kbar".
These are its verbs:
&Open
&Edit
&Print
Run as &administrator
Edit with &Notepad++
Restore previous &versions
Cu&t
&Copy
Create &shortcut
&Delete
Rena&me
P&roperties
Any ideas ?

Hi Giovanni,
you can do this packaging the script file into an executable. I'm not sure IExpress.exe (on-board windows tool) can do this, however for powershell scripts, both the free PowerGUI and the not-so-free but significantly superior when it comes to Powershell
Scripting Sapien Powershell Studio can package them into an executable. Executables and their shortcuts can be pinned.

Does anyone have any better data for this? I would also like to create an installer using Labview Project Explorer tool (Build Specification->Installer), and I have a need to create some shortcuts to some EXE's (VS.NET built, not LV) which need to have some arguments passed. I just verified that LV8.6 still does not seem to offer the option of passing arguments when creating shortcuts. Is this correct? Creating stub EXE's or batch files isn't a good option for my project, so I'd like to have someone confirm if LV installer tool can't create shortcuts w/ arguments before I fire up InstallShield.

Hi everyone, I have a query to add an Operating Unit filed in Assignments window which would be only used for information purposes and have not to do with financial information. I want to make myself clear that; 1) If I add a segment in Location FF, which has already 3 segments; OUC,Department, and Area. Is this location FF data have to do with financial information or if I add a segment then will it impact on financial/ accounting flow. 2) If I use the DFF at Assignments window, then how can I add it, what is the segment name in DFF segments definitions. Hey Ananya,
I believe what you want to do is possible, but it will not be
easy. If you want to add a scroll bar that will scroll the graph
back and forth but keep the axis set, you would want to add a
horizontal or vertical scrollbar. Then you would create an event
handler for the scroll event. You would have to manually plot
different data within this scroll event. Unfortunately, there is
not really a built in way to do this with the Measurement Studio plot
control.

,Audigy SE lost its applications in Windows 7vHello, folks. I upgraded my OS to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits and My Audigy SE lost its applications, such as Graphic Equalizer, Surround Mixer, Speaker Settings and etc. The OS does not recognize these functions when I try to open them. I installed all the drivers available for Windows 7 and I just have a very basic adjust and that?s it. The sound card is also crashing my OS. I had to uninstall it and remove the sound card. And I work with these features, so I had to go back to my old rig with XP.
Now I wonder? Windows advisor said that my Audigy was ok to run in Windows 7. What is happening and what can I do to have the equalizer and the whole thing working properly? Does this happen with all models? Creative doesn?t have a real Windows 7 compatible sound card? They just run with a basic setup fix?

The Audigy budget line (SE/LS/Value) do have the EAX Console! These card are the only Audigy card with the EAX Console, if my information is correct. Got my info from:

In that review, the reviewer is saying that he likes the EAX Console with the Audigy SE card, and also mentions that he runs Windows 7 when making the review....So, it looks like these card do have the full EAX Console, if the screenshot is correct.
What may be the problem is that you downloaded the latest version of the driver. In the README of the latest, there is no reference to the EAX Console application, BUT the previous onse DOES!!

I want to add my Mac Mini machine to a windows domain. Is it possible to add it? I have tried but it is not working. It asks for Client ID While joining to a windows domain. I have given MAC address, IP address and hostname of Windows server but it is not working. Please do help me out to sort out the issue.

Why should we create a user again? The point is I am going to join this Mac Mini to a windows domain controller. Windows domain controller means a centralized database of an organization. It is communicating with my Domain controller. But the issue is it is not founding my domain node while joining to a domain. Please find the attached screen shots for your reference. Using Struts, On submit button in child window, its opening new window.

We are developing a project using Struts and BC4J. I am opening a child window(window.showmodaldialog) from main window using struts action. Actually Child window is a search kind of page. User will enter the search criteria and press the sumbit button. I want to display the search result in the same window using datatable when jboevent="submit". But its opening new window and displaying the result in that. However in <html:form>, Even I tried the target="_self".
I am not sure wether the associated action in the <html:form> is forcing to open a new window.
Similar kind of thing I am able to achieve in other similar search page, it its not a child window.
Please let me know what I am missing.

So you want the search window to submit back to itself so you see the search field and a result list..?
In pure Struts terms either using "_self" or the name of the popup window in the <html:form> tag will do the trick
You need to make sure that the inital window that you created as the popup search window has a name in the first place - can you specify this with showModalDialog()?
BTW isn't showModalDialog an IE only feature...
