Add an Article to a Publication initialized from backup?
Greetings. I want to add an Article to a Publication that was initialized from backup. Previously I had gotten this to
work on servers that are >= 2008R2, but for some reason it no longer is and I can't figure out why despite many hours of efforts.
Does anyone know if this technique is supported by MS, or have any ideas why it may not be working? The Insert, Update, and Delete sprocs simply never get created on the Subscriber database. I created them manually but they likely weren't called as the data
never got propagated to the Subscriber (I didn't run a trace to know for sure, but think it's a safe bet). I also called sp_refeshsubscriptions and that didn't help.
I know I can create another Publication and simply Snapshot these new tables, but I'd really like to keep them all in one Publication if at all possible.

We have a SQL Server 2012 R2 SP2 environment and Transactional Replication configured with 1 instance publishing all tables in a database via a single publication (circa 150 articles in the one publication). We have a separate distribution instance,
and a third subscription instance. All articles in the publication are configured to copy all data, with no advanced filtering configured. It is also noted that Alerts were not configured in Replication Monitor.
We had an issue whereby, inexplicably, a table on the subscriber vanished (I use this term because I could not find any record in the log file of a DELETE statement being issued against that table - regrettably I wasn't in the position to query the distribution
database for any such commands either).
In Replication monitor we saw that the article for the table in question was failing, but no others.
The issue was that no other articles were being replicated to the subscriber, and this was evident via stalled rowcounts on the subscriber database, but increasing rowcounts on the publishing database.
When we removed the offending article from the publication, all other articles started getting applied to the subscriber database - and we could observe both publication and subscription rowcounts increasing in lockstep.
My questions are:
1) in a single publication with many articles, are the articles applied to the subscription in a single batch - meaning that if a discreet transaction for one article fails, that all other articles will be rolled back with this transaction until it
is cleared.
2) Why would Replication Monitor not start showing widespread warnings for every other table (article) that was not successfully being replicated to the subscriber?
3) Aside from configuring alerts in Replication Monitor (which has happened already) and a bespoke rowcount checking 'monitor', how could Transactional Replication be configured so that the failure of the publication of an obscure article doesn't fail all
articles --> I note that creating multiple publications with smaller number of articles would limit the exposure, but from what I've observed, this would only limit the exposure to those articles in the same publication.
Many thnaks1) they could be - it all depends on the batch size.
2) I suspect because the distribution agent applies the changes serially, ie one article after another in the order the changes occurred on the publisher. So if it fails on one table it will not continue until this error is leared.
3) use the continue on data consistency error profile, or put your problem article in its own publication.

My computer crashed. So does this mean I can not add any more music to my ipod from a different computer without all the songs being erased? The ipod works fine and now i got a new computer. So it seems like my only options are leaving my ipod in a state where i cant add anymore songs or erasing all my songs and trying to use my ipod from my new computer. Yes, if you choose the Erase and Sync option (or restore your iPod) you will be allowed to sync your iPod with the new computer.

How do I add an e-mail adress to send from in Mail? I do not want to add a new acount, just an e-mail adress that is shown to the reciver that the e-mail was sent from a specific adress. You can choose in the menu of a new e-mail which adress you want to send from - and I had that earlier. But now suddenly my icloud-adress appears as an option instead of the e-mail adress I want to use. So how can I add a new one?

How do I add multiple songs to an existing playlist from the (no longer called) Library? Highlighting multiple songs and clicking the "Add to" button will only add the one with the little arrow, not all the highlighted ones! I am using the "new" iTunes.
For the moment there isn't a way for us end-users to control what is "matched" or "uploaded." That is purely a result of Apple's server-side algorithms.
To re-add multiple songs at once simply highlight all the songs you want to re-add, then right-click (or Control+click) the list and choose "add to iCloud." -

Had 3G, moved to 3GS. Backed up 3G and restored 3GS from backup with no problem on a Dell computer. But now when I want to add songs, I get itunes message of death that the new iphone is synced to another computer and now wants to erase everything. Yes, I was aware of this but the phrase "Any items imported from audio CDs or acquired from other sources will not copy from your device to the iTunes library." is what worries me. Will this eliminate my Notes, Calendar Events, etc or will it apply mostly just to the music?

Error using WSPUBLISH in PI 7.1 - No Publication possible from Integration

When we use WSPUBLISH in 7.1 we get the the error "No Publication possible from Integration Server(IS)." Message no. MSG_CL_ER041
We found the code tests to see in the ENGINE_TYPE is not HUB - this setting is set in
SXMB_ADM -> Integration Engine config - Runtime - ENGINE_TYPE - Is currently set to HUB
However you cannot set ENGINE_TYPE to LOC because this is the integration server and setting it as LOC creates issues - for example the cache refresh starts creating problems

To publish a service from XI bos to the SR, you would need to publish the Sender Agreement to the Service Registry.
In your sender agreement you will find a option publish to SR.
Only Outbound XI interfaces ; aka, XI interfaces exposed as a webservice can be published into the SR from XI.
In case of inbound interfaces, where the Service implementation is written in a aback end system ( either ABAP based or Java Based ) ; the publishing of the same has to be done from the back end system.

Unfortunately I don't have the API. My Adobe Reader installation updating to version XI failed, and subsequent attempts to fall back on the X version are blocked by the partial install of XI. Damn Adobe stuff.
Could someone please post the relevant part of the API to give me some pointers, please.
