Add Column names as Header Line

Hi All
I am tring to do a FILE to File scenario ,At Receiver end i am usin FCC to generate text flle.How to get the header names in the generated text file like
FIELD1     FIELD2     FIELD3
abc     12     34
def     13     35
pqr     14     36
my generated xml structure after mapping is as follows

<ns0:test_mt xmlns:ns0="http://test.com/FCC">
<rootnode>
<subnode>
<FIELD1>abc</FIELD1>
<FIELD2>12</FIELD2>
<FIELD3>34</FIELD3>
</subnode>
</rootnode>
</ns0:test_mt>
i am using the following FCC parameters
Recordset Structure :rootnode,subnode
subnode.addHeaderLine   = 1
rootnode.addHeaderLine = 1
rootnode.fieldSeparator = 'nl'
subnode.fieldSeparator = $
subnode.endSeparator = 'nl'
I am getting only records but not the header line with column names
Please suggest me how do i get the desired output?
Regards
satish

Hello,
the Headerline is only avaible if you have a "flat" structure.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/frameset.htm
NameA.addHeaderLine
"This specification is only permitted if exactly one structure is defined."
In this case I alsways use a structure to add the headerline manually! This is the best workaround I know.

• Add Column name conditionally in a query

Hi i have an stored procedure where one parameter is passing
@Type
UserTable (columns) => username, canAdminDelete,canCustomerDelete,CanMerchantDelete
i wants to add column conditionally like when usertype =1 then query should be like
Select * from userTable where canAdminDelete=0
when userType=2
Select * from userTable where canCustomerDelete=0
Like in this way. I know i can write three if statments and write specific query.
But this is just an example i have very big query actually.
Please give some idea.
Thanks

Hi Niki,
As per my understanding, I think the query post by Olaf is correct. It only return the results when column canAdminDelete = 0 and userTpe = 1 or column canCustomerDelete = 0 and userType = 2.
So when userType=1 and column canAdminDelete=1, how could you get the results? Could you please test the issue again based on the query post by Olaf.
If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.

• How to add columns (fields) to header section of an alert e-mail?

Hi all,
In a standard out of the box alert template, I want to add custom fields (e.g. Notes, Value p.a.) to the body of an alert e-mail, see photo:
These cannot be any list/library built-in columns like 'Created', 'Created By' etc.
The class responsible for those column in 'Alerttemplate.xml' is:

$Resources:Alerts_event_title;

$Resources:Alerts_event_modified;

$Resources:Alerts_event_modifiedby;

How can I add additional fields to that?

Since there was no input from anyone on the forum, I have come up with a following workaround:
I could not add any more columns to the alert e-mail body for edited items so I used a 'Title' column to combine all the columns a wanted to display in the e-mail alert.
These were the 'Prefix' - 'Suffix' 'Product' columns. On 'Edit' and 'New' forms, there is a piece of jquery to combine those 3 columns and store the value in a 'Title' column which is appropriately hidden from the views and forms. There is no 'Quick Edit'
switched on in the list so jquery will always run setting a 'Title' column correctly.
Users can see the relevant information right in their inbox so they won't have to log in to SP remotely to look up this information.

• How to change the column name as bold in adf table

Hi,
How can I change the column name with bolder style and blue colour in adf Table?
I changed the color and font weight in af:column properties, but its effecting the data in that column but not with the column Header Text property.(i have given column name in header text).
can any one have any idea how to do this?
and I have taken panel tabbed layout and in that i'm displaying this table.
but this table has scroll beneath of it to show all columns.
but i want to display all columns (for this, page should have scroll at the bottom side).
how can I achieve this???

Hi,
Add the following CSS Code to the custom skin css file that is to be created as per the suggestions above.
*af|column::column-header-cell{*
color:Blue;
font-weight:bold;
This would ensure that all the table column headers are blue in color and bolder font style through-out the application.
By the way, what version of JDeveloper are you using?

• How can i export the data to excel which has 2 tables with same number of columns & column names?

Hi everyone, again landed up with a problem.
After trying a lot to do it myself, finally decided to post here..
I have created a form in form builder 6i, in which on clicking a button the data gets exported to excel sheet.
It is working fine with a single table. The problem now is that i am unable to do the same with 2 tables.
Because both the tables have same number of columns & column names.
Below are 2 tables with column names:
Table-1 (MONTHLY_PART_1)
Table-2 (MONTHLY_PART_2)
SL_NO
SL_NO
COMP
COMP
DUE_DATE
DUE_DATE
U-1
U-1
U-2
U-2
U-4
U-4
U-20
U-20
U-25
U-25
Since both the tables have same column names, I'm getting the following error :
Error 402 at line 103, column 4
alias required in SELECT list of cursor to avoid duplicate column names.
So How can i export the data to excel which has 2 tables with same number of columns & column names?
Should i paste the code? Should i post this query in 'SQL and PL/SQL' Forum?
Help me with this please.
Thank You.

You'll have to *alias* your columns, not prefix it with the table names:

When I tried to pull a batch from sql server to insert to an oracle table. I have checked and none of the records were duplicate or had the same key. If I sent a batch of only 1 record, it went through fine and oracle database was updated.
However, in either cases, no response from Oracle were received. I had a FILE port to save oracle response to file because the oracle port in the orchestration was 2 way (Send/Receive) port.
Why was BizTalk not writing the response to file?
Your hint/instruction to shed some light to this mystery is highly appreciated. Thanks!
Note: When I tried to look the orchestration debugger, I saw the same message from sql being transmitted twice...why is BizTalk doing that?

I think it may be something related to the map, I just do not know what. This is what I saw from the message part:

• Adding column names to data file

Hi,
I have a question regarding writing to file. Currently in my program, when I start running it, a dialog box pops up and the user gets to pick/ create a file. My data is written on to a file as columns. I want to add column names to the file. Any suggestions on how to do it? Since the file is created by the user at run time and since the column names have to be added just once at the beginning, I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Any suggestions or pointers?
Thanks,

I'm trying to do the same, but something is not right with my syntax and I haven't been able to resolve all day. Can someone spot what I'm doing wrong?
Here is the variable with the data I want to insert as the headers for the CSV:
Updated variable "CPARWebJEHeaders"
<CPARWebJEHeaders>
<Root-Element xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/CPWebJEARWrite">
<CPARWebJE>
<Project>Project</Project>
<Organization>CC_Org</Organization>
<Account>Account</Account>
<TransactionAmount>Amount</TransactionAmount>
<TransactionDesc>Description</TransactionDesc>
</CPARWebJE>
</Root-Element>
</CPARWebJEHeaders>
Here is the InputVariable data for my invoke to the File Adapter:
[2008/03/24 15:27:30] Updated variable "WriteCPARWebJEFile_Write_InputVariable"
<WriteCPARWebJEFile_Write_InputVariable>
<part xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" name="Root-Element">
<Root-Element xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/CPWebJEARWrite">
<ns0:CPARWebJE xmlns:ns0="http://xmlns.oracle.com/CPWebJEARWrite">
<ns0:Project>INV08-00002</ns0:Project>
<ns0:Organization>1.6.1.1.01</ns0:Organization>
<ns0:Account />
<ns0:TransactionAmount>176</ns0:TransactionAmount>
<ns0:TransactionDesc />
</ns0:CPARWebJE>
<ns0:CPARWebJE xmlns:ns0="http://xmlns.oracle.com/CPWebJEARWrite">
<ns0:Project>INV08-00001</ns0:Project>
<ns0:Organization>1.6.1.1.01</ns0:Organization>
<ns0:Account />
<ns0:TransactionAmount>305.46</ns0:TransactionAmount>
<ns0:TransactionDesc />
</ns0:CPARWebJE>
</Root-Element>
</part>
</WriteCPARWebJEFile_Write_InputVariable>
This is my latest iteration of the insertBefore command, which is done right after the transformation populating the variable above:
<bpelx:assign>
<bpelx:insertBefore>
<bpelx:from variable="CPARWebJEHeaders" query="/ns12:Root-Element/ns12:CPARWebJE"/>
<bpelx:to variable="WriteCPARWebJEFile_Write_InputVariable" part="Root-Element"/>
</bpelx:insertBefore>
</bpelx:assign>
And finally, here is the current error message:
<selectionFailure xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/business-process/">
<part name="summary">

Assign Operation Misuse. The parent of the selection result does not exist or is not an XML element; insertBefore operation cannot be performed. Please check the BPEL source at line number "96" .

</part>
</selectionFailure>
I understand the error message, but for the life of me can't get it resolved. Trying to change the "to" variable, I can't even get the process to deploy. FYI this is on 10.1.2 and I can't go to 10.1.3 yet, but I think this is a syntax issue and not related to the version.
Thanks!

• How to add header line in a file from XI system using file adapters

Hi All,
I need to add header line (Column names) in a file coming from XI system.
I am using file adapters.
Thanks & Regards,
Gaurav Mittal

The Receiver File Adapter is configured, using the following settings:
1) Choose File Content Conversion as the Message Protocol.
2) You give the ‘addHeaderLine’ parameter as 1
3) For the ‘fieldSeparator’ parameter you need to give field separator for both list and substructure (referring to the data type above). For eg: it may be a ‘,’ (comma) for substructure in a comma separated file.
4) The ‘endSeparator’ parameter needs to given for substructure only. For eg: it may be a ‘nl’ (new line)
5) Give the file name, the directory and the Construction mode. Activate all the settings. Receiver File Adapter with F.C.C. is configured.

• Data load component - add new column name alias

Apex 4.2.2.
Using the data load wizard a list of column and column name aliases had been created.
When looking at the component (shared components/Data load tables/column name aliases) it is possible to edit and delete a column alias there. Unfortunatly it does not seem possible to add a new alias. Do I overlook something, or is there a workaround for this?

Try this:
REPORT ztest LINE-SIZE 80 MESSAGE-ID 00.
DATA: name_int TYPE TABLE OF v_usr_name WITH HEADER LINE.
DATA: BEGIN OF it_bkpf OCCURS 0.
INCLUDE STRUCTURE bkpf.
DATA:   username LIKE v_usr_name-name_text,
END   OF it_bkpf.
SELECT * FROM bkpf INTO TABLE it_bkpf UP TO 1000 ROWS.
LOOP AT it_bkpf.
name_int-bname = it_bkpf-usnam.
APPEND name_int.
ENDLOOP.
SORT name_int BY bname.
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM name_int.
LOOP AT it_bkpf.
READ TABLE name_int WITH KEY
bname = it_bkpf-usnam
BINARY SEARCH.
IF name_int-name_text IS INITIAL.
SELECT SINGLE name_text
FROM v_usr_name
INTO name_int-name_text
WHERE bname = it_bkpf-usnam.
MODIFY name_int index sy-tabix.
ENDIF.
it_bkpf-username = name_int-name_text.
MODIFY it_bkpf.
ENDLOOP.

• After adding one column in a table can't get the header line

hi all,
i have make a SMART FORM which was working perfectly.Now the requirement of user is to add one column in my table at smart form which i did and after modification i execute it it give me data as well but issue which i'm facing is that the TABLE at smart forms in which i have add one field is not displaying the HEADER LINE which i have define with SELECT PATTREN option.
Thanks & Regards,
sappk25

Hi,
Have you created the Header Text? If yes, then might be the case that your smartforms
table which was already created is with Multiple Line. Check weather you have added
customer field in Header Line or Not?
