How to add programatically/dynamically input parameters to a taskflow?

I have usecase like this -
I have a taskflow created. But I dont know how many input parameters that I need to define on this taskflow.
Is there any way, by which I can add input parameters to a taskflow programatically? using a MBean or any APIs are available that will enable to do this?

When using the task-flow as a region, instead of specifying the parameter individually - you could provide Map as the input parameters with Key being the parameter name and Value being the actual value of the parameter.

Input Parameters

How it is possible to add input parameters to my adapter/service ? For example, I want to write adapter that converts USD to DEM. In first page user enters amount in USD, presses "Submit" and in second page gets amount in DEM. The problem is that if I add input parameter in Service Designer, it does not automaticly appear then I invoke service. Then I define input parameter for WebIntegrationAdapter based service, it appears automaticly. Is it mean that I have to write input form myself ?

I assume you are using a website where you can convert the different currencies? You should make an input binding in the WebIntegrationDeveloper which uses the input form of the source webpage. In this input binding you want to have a variable which ask for the ammount of source currency. The output binding will contain a variable which extracts the information you want from the 'answer-page' or destination page. That information will be the converted currency.

KM API: Need to add LastModified in input parameters

i am using KM reports. for this i have to use LastModified as my input parameter. in my code i have already added LastModified as my input parameter which is selectin date from calender, but i want it to choose date in from-to format i.e it shoud select date range. Also, i need to know how i can filter my data on the basis of LastModified option.
i need it urgently. Can anyone help me out on this.

ORA-22275 inserting into the CLOB column using ODBC input parameters

Hi all,
I'm having problem with INSERT into the CLOB column via bound input parameters.
After calling SQLExecDirect() I'm getting following error:
[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-22275: invalid LOB locator specified
Adding defaults to the table definitions does not help. If I embed parameter values into the SQL statement - everything works just fine.
I use Oracle 9.2 with latest Oracle ODBC driver 9.2.0.4 under Windows XP.
Any ideas appreciated...

You need to provide the data at execution time (i.e. SQL_LEN_DATA_AT_EXEC(0) in the SQLBindParameter followed by a series of SQLPutData calls). If you go to Metalink

How to create a list of Input Parameters ? (BAPI)

Hi guys,
I'm executing a BAPI in my webdynpro app, the Bapi has various input parameters (simple and structure).
I needed to fill an input structure, and that was ok... BUT, now I need to create and fill dynamically the same input structure but with more than 1 record.
Example
-->MyBAPI
>MyStructure (1)
>MyStructure (2)
>MyStructure (3)
>MyStructure (...n)
I have tried to create nodes dynamically but I just receive errors.. =(
Could you recommend me anything ?

Hi,
You could use one of the following methods to add more than one element to a node of upper cardinality greater than one.
MyBAPI.MyStructure.addElement(int arg0, IWDNodeElement arg1)
MyBAPI.MyStructure.addElement(IWDNodeElement arg0)
Incase the MyBAPI node is a model node you could also use
MyBAPI.MyStructure.bind(Collection arg0)

Bursting with Report's input parameters

I am running BIP bursting feature, and this is working fine. Now, my customer is needing to enabling bursting feature by passing report´s input parameters. It is possible to set the bursting sql query to accept report´s input parameters?. If yes, how can I get that?.

Passing input parameters to the method call in ADF task flow.

I have the following use case:
There is a task flow with 2 jspx pages. In the first page I have 2 input search parameters and search button. the search button calls the webservice data control execute (GET_ACCOUNTOperation) method .
Displaying the search results in the same page is not a problem , but my requirement is that the search results are to be displayed in the second page in tabular form.
To achieve this, I dragged the execute method as the method call in the task flow and specified the input parameters for the method call (right click and add parameters) . I am getting the following exception :

thanks for the quick turn-around. Jdev version that i am using is Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0. And i am using SOAP. Isnt there a way without using a backing bean? I am planning to use it as a portlet. Would'nt creating a backing bean cause a problem in that case?? Also i am confused here . The method that i am dragging is GET_ACCOUNTOperation(Object). I tried passing the hashmap . It gave the following exception :

Oracle Workflow and mapping input parameters

Hello all,
I am trying to create a process flow in OWB that will be able to pass input parameters into each of my mappings. Each mapping contains 2 inputs, a start time and an end time.
Does OWB's process flows allow for this or is there another approach that i should take in creating a workflow for these mappings?
I am currently using 11gR2(11.2.0.1) and OWF v. 2.6.4.

Hi Randy,
Open the process flow editor. In the structure window (menu view->structure), select the mapping activity and expand it to see its parameters. If you select a parameter, you can set its value or bind it to a variable in the property window.
In the structure window you can also add process flow parameters to the start activity or define process flow variables.

How to bind values for input parameters from an adf table?

Jdev TP4 11.1.1.0.0
I need to know how to bind values for input parameters to methods.
I have created an af:table and I have a button created using a method which is outside the af:table. This method needs to take input parameter values from the column values in the table.
When I have an adf form instead of the table the binding works.
Any help?

Hi Balaji,
you need to bind you table to a backing bean and call a method in the backing bean when you hit the button. In the method you get the selected row from the table and have access to the columns of it. Then call the the method with the parameters.
To bind the table to a bean select the properties of the table, go to behavior section and look for the advanced section 'Binding' property.
Select the small down arrow at the right side and click edit. In the dialog select or create a bean and property for the table.
Go to the button properties, look for 'Action', again select the small down arrow and click 'Edit'. Select the bean which holds the table property and create a method for the button.
The method look like    public void bearbeitenQuelle(ActionEvent actionEvent)
        // Add event code here...
        RichTable lTable = getYourTable();
        Object lData = lTable.getSelectedRowData();

I need to write a PL/SQL procedure so as to compute the different query only by changing the input parameters. But those input parameters need to be like a PL/SQL table selection conditions. Like:
one of the query I need two conditions:

customers.zip = employees.zipMy procedure can compute the query like:

SQL> The real question is: do you really want to do this? Fundamentally you are handing over control of your app to any nimrod who thinks they know how to write SQL. It's just about allowable for them to add simple restrictions but they could add in anything - correlated sub-queries, extravagant sorts, etc. Even if they don't deliberately exploit this hole you still have a fundamentally untunable part of your app.
It would be much better to have some additional parameters that allows the users to choose from several off-the-peg queries. If you have a user demanding the ability to write "any report I need" I recommend talking to them. The chances are they simply have a pet query, probably embodied in an Excel spreadsheet, they run once every month. Give them a view to meet that need and they'll be happy.

Error while creating a BO Universe (using IDT) on top of SAP HANA Calculation View with Input Parameters

We are trying to create a Universe (using IDT-Version4.0) on top of the HANA Calculation view. The Calculation view has 4 input parameters, So
in Universe side we have created the respective prompts. For the creation of derived table we have used the following code

Hello George,
I don't have any personalization set on the info space. Also I am using mapped Account in BI to connect to HANA. The confusing part is that it is able to validate the infospace with the input parameters and index it. However query does not return any results. I even tried running the same query which explorer sends to HANA in the SQL editor and there too the same results,the query does not return anything. The model does return data when I do a data preview and if accessed from other tools like AAO.
Also when I use SSO connection to HANA, indexing of the infospace fails. Where can I see the error log?

How to log input parameters for Function Modules?

Hi,
I need to create a Logging system to trace input parameters for function modules.
The log functionality could be done by developing a class method or a function module (For example 'write_log'), and calling it within each function module that I want to log. The 'write_log' code should be independent from the interface of the Function Module that I want to log.
For example, I'd like to write a function/class method that can log both these functions modules:
Function DummyA
   Input parameters: A1 type char10, A2 type char10.
Function DummyB
   Input parameters: B1 type char20, B2 type char20, B3 type char20, B4 type Z_MYSTRUCTURE
Now the questions...
- Is there a "standard SAP" function that provide this functionality?
- If not, is there a system variable in which I can access runtime all parameters name, type and value for a particular function module?
- If not, how can I loop at Input parameters in a way that is independent from the function module interface?
