Add js scripts to the database (XDB)

Hi
I have 2 js, which I need to access from HTML generated from PL/SQL.
How do I load and register those 2 js in a separate directory on the server?
And do I need to use another DAD to access them from the generated HTML code?
(I have a DAD for the application at present)
For compatability issues I need to access it from Apex as well in step 2.
best regards
Mette

Yes it's javascript.
The things is that we need to be able to ru it from Apex as well as from "ordinary" pl/sqls using htp.p calls generating HTML pages.
Therefore I asked in the XDB forum

  • How to find Oracle script in the database

    Hi,
    I've an Oracle instance with Fine Grained Auditing (FGA).
    In this DB was created a series of policies and now I want to find the scripts created for insert it in another database.
    for example:
    dbms_fga.add_policy (
    .....................How can I find this SQL script from this database?
    I have also export dmp file
    Must I use TOAD for export the objects?
    Thanks in advance!

    you'll need to use datapump export/import for this, see the example below:
    Create fga policy TEST_POLICY on table scott.emp
    SQL> exec dbms_fga.add_policy(object_schema => 'SCOTT',object_name => 'EMP',policy_name => 'TEST_POLICY');
    Show fga policy in the db
    SQL> select * from DBA_AUDIT_POLICIES where policy_name = 'TEST_POLICY';

    POLICY_NAME                    POLICY_TEXT          POLICY_COLUMN                  PF_SCHEMA

    TEST_POLICY
                                                                  YES YES NO  NO  NO  DB+EXTENDED  ANY_COLUMNS
    Now export the metadata for the objects

  • How to add a script to the toolbar script?

    How do I make an Automator script/application into a script accessible from the toolbar?  In the toolbar I have the Script icon.  I'd like to be able to access my own script from there from a third-party app.  Can this be done?

    Hi Albert.
    You need to do a few things for that :
    - Create your own GUI status by copying STANDARD_FULLSCREEN from function group SLVC_FULLSCREEN.
    - Set your own PF-Status using the Exclude table because otherwise your exclude table would become meaningless.
    - define a subroutine to handle the user commands.
    Sample implementation :
    FORM pf_status USING extab TYPE slis_t_extab.
      extab = pf_exclude.
      SET PF-STATUS 'STANDARD' EXCLUDING extab.
    ENDFORM.                    "PF_STATUS
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
        EXPORTING
          i_callback_program       = repid
          i_callback_user_command  = 'USER_COMMAND'
          i_callback_pf_status_set = 'PF_STATUS'
          is_layout                = layout
          it_fieldcat              = fieldcat
          it_excluding             = pf_exclude
        TABLES
          t_outtab                 = itab
        EXCEPTIONS
          OTHERS                   = 0.
            FORM user_command  USING r_ucomm LIKE sy-ucomm
                                       rs_selfield TYPE slis_selfield.
    ENDFORM.
    Please reward points if found helpful.

  • How to create the database schema from an existing TimesTen database ?

    Hello everybody,
    I'm a newbie to TimesTen database. Before doing complicated sql queries, I would like to obtain the database schema of TimesTen DB. I'm looking for a way to extract the schema of database (tables, keys, links between tables ...). When I was working on other db like postgreSQL, I was able to obtain the sql script of the database (for exemple, in order to re-create the database in an other server). Some software like PowerAMC was able to built the database model from these scripts.
    Do you know a way to obtain the same with TimesTen database ? Or with an other way ?
    Regards

    Hi,
    Take a look in the docs at ttSchema, this might do the trick.

  • Fine tuning the database query

    To analyse the load of a particular object. we do use 'performance analysis' in ABAP. But let us suppose we've come to know that more load is on the database. i.e. suppose 80% on database, 20% on Application server. what could be the possible steps that u wud perform on the query so that the load gets decreased. we don't have a chance to transform the load from database to application server (such as using internal tables and hence reducing the load). we should do something on the database side. so what can we do. any solution would be highly appreciated.
    thanks in advance for the solution.

    Hi,
    You should use ST05 and then Switch TRACE ON for SQL.
    Then do your query again.
    After you have run your query, you switch the trace OFF and then you display the trace.
    When displaying the trace you can see which SQL queries that have been made and how long time they have taken (left most column).
    If the time is RED that indicates a bad query.
    Anyway. Doubleclick on the query to find out how the query is made.
    And analyse the table(s) that are used and whether or not an INDEX is used.
    If no index is used you can ADD an index to the database table(s) in transaction SE10. Or directly in the database if you have that possibilty.
    ST05,
    Trace on,
    Run query,
    Trace off,
    Display trace,
    Analyze trace.
    Good luck!

  • RDA ---Can not connect to the database

    Folks,
    I am trying to generate an RDA output for ORACLE SUPPORT
    Database:10.2.0.4
    Server: Win 32bit SP1
    STEP 1: ran rda.cmd -S to collect config info
    STEP2: run rda.cmd to generate output
    at this time it asks me the password of the system username as sysdba and errors out saying
    the following
    Processing Initialization module ...
    Enter the password for 'SYSTEM@abc as SYSDBA':
    Please re-enter it to confirm:
    The database to be analyzed (abc) does not appear to be accessible.
    Please do one of the following:
    - If the database is not started, start it in another session, then press
    'Enter' to continue this script after the database has been started;
    - Interrupt this script, start the database or solve the connection
    problem, and next re-run rda; or
    - Hit 'Enter' to continue this script without gathering information from
    the database.
    If you choose to continue without database connection, some information will
    be missing and Oracle Support may request that rda be re-run.
    Press 'Enter' to Continue
    RDA-00501: Database access disabled due to a connection problem
    Has anyone encountered this issue

    Well, I'm not sure if Oracle can't even figure it out. I found this in a connection troubleshooting guide specific to windows....maybe give these a try just to verify again.
    Troubleshooting Steps Common to Unix and Windows
    Connection Issues
    If RDA is unable to connect to the database, and the user is declared as a SYSDBA user when running the setup, ensure that a connection is possible with as the user using AS SYSDBA. For example, if SYSTEM is specified as the username, make sure that you can connect using the following command in sqlplus:
    connect system AS SYSDBA
    If you cannot connect, run the setup again and answer N to that question, or edit the setup file (setup.cfg) and set SYSDBA_USER=0. You can also use the 'TSTdb' test module to obtain more elements on the connection problem. This test can be performed using the following command(s):
    For Windows run:
    rda.cmd -T TSTdb or rda.pl -T TSTdb
    For Unix run:
    rda.sh -T TSTdb or rda.pl -T TSTdb
    If you use TWO_TASK enviroment variable is used to connect to the database, then unset TWO_TASK and run RDA on the server local to the database. This is necessary because RDA depends on a local connection to the database, and automatically unsets TWO_TASK before performing any function.

  • How to add a report into the SAP-SCRIPT .using PERFORM ......ENDPERFORM

    My question is that How to add a report into the SAP-SCRIPT .
    by using PERFORM ......ENDPERFORM
    I don't know how to used it .

    Hi Sandeep,
    Please check this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_40b/helpdata/en/d1/803279454211d189710000e8322d00/content.htm
    http://www.allinterview.com/showanswers/37425.html
    Calling ABAP Subroutines: PERFORM
    You can use the PERFORM command to call an ABAP subroutine (form) from any program, subject to the normal ABAP runtime authorization checking. You can use such calls to subroutines for carrying out calculations, for obtaining data from the database that is needed at display or print time, for formatting data, and so on.
    PERFORM commands, like all control commands, are executed when a document is formatted for display or printing. Communication between a subroutine that you call and the document is by way of symbols whose values are set in the subroutine.
    Syntax in a form window:
    /: PERFORM <form> IN PROGRAM <prog>
    /: USING &INVAR1&
    /: USING &INVAR2&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR1&
    /: CHANGING &OUTVAR2&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    INVAR1 and INVAR2 are variable symbols and may be of any of the four SAPscript symbol types.
    OUTVAR1 and OUTVAR2 are local text symbols and must therefore be character strings.
    The ABAP subroutine called via the command line stated above must be defined in the ABAP report prog as follows:
    FORM <form> TABLES IN_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    ENDFORM.
    The values of the SAPscript symbols passed with /: USING... are now stored in the internal table IN_TAB . Note that the system passes the values as character string to the subroutine, since the field Feld VALUE in structure ITCSY has the domain TDSYMVALUE (CHAR 80). See the example below on how to access the variables.
    The internal table OUT_TAB contains names and values of the CHANGING parameters in the PERFORM statement. These parameters are local text symbols, that is, character fields. See the example below on how to return the variables within the subroutine.
    From within a SAPscript form, a subroutine GET_BARCODE in the ABAP program QCJPERFO is called. Then the simple barcode contained there (u2018First pageu2019, u2018Next pageu2019, u2018Last pageu2019) is printed as local variable symbol.
    Definition in the SAPscript form:
    /: PERFORM GET_BARCODE IN PROGRAM QCJPERFO
    /: USING &PAGE&
    /: USING &NEXTPAGE&
    /: CHANGING &BARCODE&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    / &BARCODE&
    Coding of the calling ABAP program:
    REPORT QCJPERFO.
    FORM GET_BARCODE TABLES IN_PAR STUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_PAR STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    DATA: PAGNUM LIKE SY-TABIX, "page number
    NEXTPAGE LIKE SY-TABIX. "number of next page
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018PAGEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    PAGNUM = IN_PAR-VALUE.
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018NEXTPAGEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    NEXTPAGE = IN_PAR-VALUE.
    READ TABLE IN_PAR WITH KEY u2018BARCODEu2019.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC = 0.
    IF PAGNUM = 1.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE = u2018|u2019. "First page
    ELSE.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE = u2018||u2019. "Next page
    ENDIF.
    IF NEXTPAGE = 0.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE+2 = u2018Lu2019. "Flag: last page
    ENDIF.
    MODIFY OUT_PAR INDEX SY-TABIX.
    ENDFORM.
    Best regards,
    raam

  • Get "Creation Script" of the existing table ( in SQL database) using C# and without using SMO dlls

    Hi All,
    I need to get the "Creation Script" of the existing table using c# and without using SMO dlls (is it possible? I don't know).
    I.e. In SQL Management Studio -> right click on any table -> Script table as -> Create To  - > open in the new query editor window. This will give you the schema of the table with the constraints of the table.
    For E.g. In Northwind database, for the table "Categories", I would like to get it as show below
    USE [Northwind]
    GO
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    GO
    SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
    GO
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Categories](
        [CategoryID] [int] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
        [CategoryName] [nvarchar](15) NOT NULL,
        [Description] [ntext] NULL,
        [Picture] [image] NULL,
     CONSTRAINT [PK_Categories] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
        [CategoryID] ASC
    )WITH (PAD_INDEX  = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE  = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS  = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS  = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
    ) ON [PRIMARY] TEXTIMAGE_ON [PRIMARY]
    GO
    I would like to get the same schema using c#. Please help.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kalai.

    SMO is the easiest way to get this. This is what Management Studio uses. If you can't use SMO, get a Profiler trace of the queries that SMO executes when generating the script and execute the same using ADO.NET.

  • How to add a page in the SAP Scripts

    Hi All,
    I want to know how to add a page in the sap scripts. there is already sap script developed by some other person.
    Now I have to add a page in front of that and have to add some more data.I added a page in page windows but thats not at all working.
    Please help me out in this.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

    new page will create in sap scripts using new page command.
    you have to set condition like after some number of records displayed in page new page has to be trigger.
    ex:YOU HAVE SO MANY RECORDS FOR PRINTING BUT YOU WANT TO DISPLAY 100 RECORDS IN FIRST PAGE REMAINING IN SECOND PAGE LIKE THAT.
    Here you can use NEW PAGE COMMAND .
    IT IS OPPOSITE PURPOSE OF PROTECT AND ENDPOTECT.
    Reward if useful.

    I have a database of names. When I go to the database and pull up names I right click on the option "Open in new tab". I would like to bring up 200 names and do the same function simultaaneously to them like, add a vote to their total individual vote count. Is this possible?

    I ended up reformating the drive as FAT32 because I still need to use it on my Windows 98SE system also. I did have a problem with the allocation size. I wanted to use 512 bytes but it kept failing so I used the default size(8192 bytes) and then it worked fine. I didn't think there would be a problem formatting as NTFS but since you are having problems I just tried it. It failed at 512 bytes allocation size so I tried again using 4096 bytes, the default, as the allocation size and it failed again. It looks like these drives will not format as NTFS.
    Also, I think I figured out what's going on with the ReadyBoost problem. As I said initially it wouldn't work with ReadyBoost then after I had 12GB of data on the drive the ReadyBoost feature started working. After I deleted all the files it quit working again. After doing some reading on the net about Flash drives and ReadyBoost problems it appears that the memory chips on my Lenovo Flash drive are mixed with both fast memory chips that work fine with ReadyBoost and slower memory  chips that are too slow for ReadyBoost. Apparently, after I fill up the portion of memory with data that uses the slow chip(s) then ReadyBoost works fine with the fast chip(s).  I also verified the Flash drives read and write memory speeds using Vista's Event Viewer. To work with ReadyBoost the Flash drive has to read at a minimum of 2.5MB/s (for 4KB random reads) and write at a minimum of  1.75MB/s (for 512KB random writes).
    Let me know what you find out.

  • Add Command button not in the Database Expert: VS2003

    We are using VS2003 and the bundled version of Crystal Reports.  We have no plans of upgrading right now, unless we have to. What I'm trying to do should be simple...
    We have an existing report that lists incomplete orders, including invoice# and items in the order.  One of the possible order items is "MISC", however, that is not descriptive, so I am trying to add a SQL query that will look up the actual MISC item text based on Invoice # (one of the fields in the report).  I was trying to do this via a subreport.
    The help file and this Youtube video ( [Crystal Reports Tutorial Creating SQL Commands| http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHNHsIUbcn8]  ) suggest the way to do this is to click "Add Command to Report" from the Database expert, which will let me add my own SQL command.
    However, "Add Command" is not visible, and I cannot get it to appear.   Under what circumstances would it be hidden or disabled?  How do I get it to appear so I may add a custom SQL item to the existing report?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.   Thank you in advance.

    Not possible with your version of CR. You'd have to upgrade to the current version of Crystal Reports (12.x).

  • Shell Script  for Startup and Shutdown the database

    Hi,

    SHUTDOWN
    SHUTDOWN ABORT]
    Shuts down a currently running Oracle instance, optionally closing and dismounting a database.
    Terms
    Refer to the following list for a description of each term or clause:
    ABORT
    Proceeds with the fastest possible shutdown of the database without waiting for calls to complete or users to disconnect.
    Uncommitted transactions are not rolled back. Client SQL statements currently being processed are terminated. All users currently connected to the database are implicitly disconnected and the next database startup will require instance recovery.
    You must use this option if a background process terminates abnormally.
    IMMEDIATE
    Does not wait for current calls to complete or users to disconnect from the database.
    Further connects are prohibited. The database is closed and dismounted. The instance is shutdown and no instance recovery is required on the next database startup.
    NORMAL
    NORMAL is the default option which waits for users to disconnect from the database.
    Further connects are prohibited. The database is closed and dismounted. The instance is shutdown and no instance recovery is required on the next database startup.
    TRANSACTIONAL [LOCAL]
    Performs a planned shutdown of an instance while allowing active transactions to complete first. It prevents clients from losing work without requiring all users to log off.
    No client can start a new transaction on this instance. Attempting to start a new transaction results in disconnection. After completion of all transactions, any client still connected to the instance is disconnected. Now the instance shuts down just as it would if a SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE statement was submitted. The next startup of the database will not require any instance recovery procedures.
    The LOCAL mode specifies a transactional shutdown on the local instance only, so that it only waits on local transactions to complete, not all transactions. This is useful, for example, for scheduled outage maintenance.
    Usage
    SHUTDOWN with no arguments is equivalent to SHUTDOWN NORMAL.
    You must be connected to a database as SYSOPER, or SYSDBA. You cannot connect via a multi-threaded server. For more information about connecting to a database, see the CONNECT command earlier in this chapter.

  • Deploying an app from export script stored in the database.

    I am in the situation where I want to deploy a copy of an application programatically into the current workspace, but each against a separate schema. The end game would be to have many copies of the same App in the same workspace (obviously with different application numbers assigned) but each app pointing to a different schema.
    The workflow would be something like this:
    <ol>
    <li>Create a new tablespace for the new schema</li>
    <li>Create the new Schema</li>
    <li>create the required objects in the new schema (we're going to use DataPump for that)
    </li>
    <li>Assign the schema to the current workspace (make it available to use for a new APP)</li>
    <li>Read the app.sql from a BLOB in the database and deploy it into the current workspace pointed to the new schema.</li>
    </ol>
    I was wondering if there are already API's in place that would help me do these things (especially steps 4 and 5).
    I started poking around in the ApEx internals, looking specifically at the deployment of the SAMPLE apps to see if there was anything I could use, but it looks like the WWV_FLOW_SAMPLE_APP package is wrapped so I can't see what it's doing.
    I also looked at the code behind the "COPY APPLICATION" function and it looks like I might be able to use wwv_flow_imp_parser.parse to install the application in the current schema, but would probably need some clarification on whether there are any "gotchas" there.
    If that works, then it seems the hard part is assigning the new schema to the workspace as normally that is done from within the INTERNAL user's workspace.
    Thanks in advance for the help.
    Doug

    Ok... For others who may be interested in this, I have figured out part of the answer...
    To complete steps 2 and 4 mentioned in my original messages (Creating the user and makeing it available to a workspace) here is what I've come up with.
    DECLARE
    l_username varchar2(256);
    l_password varchar2(256);
    l_df_ts    varchar2(256);
    l_tmp_ts   varchar2(256);
    l_PCID     number;
    l_workspace_name varchar2(255);
    BEGIN
    l_username := 'DOUG';
    l_password := 'DOUG';
    l_df_ts    := 'USERS';
    l_tmp_ts   := 'TEMP';
    l_workspace_name := 'HAAS';
    -- CREATE THE USER AND THEN ADD THAT USER TO THE CORRECT WORKSPACE.
    -- First make sure that
    --  1. The name you're trying to create is not a "reserved" name like INTERNAL
    --  2. We're not working in an installation that is "RUNTIME ONLY"
    --  3. We're not working with a schema that is already in place or restricted.
    IF  flows_030100.wwv_flow_provisioning.reserved_schema(p_schema => l_username) = false
    and not (flows_030100.wwv_flow_provisioning.site_admin_is_restricted
              and
             flows_030100.wwv_flow_provisioning.restricted_schema(p_schema => l_username, p_workspace_name => l_worlkspace_name)
    THEN

        flows_030100.wwv_flow_provision.create_user(
        p_username    => l_username,

  • Running the same sql script in multiple databases

    Hello,
    What is the method to run the same sql script in multiple databases? I want to write a unix script that would select from different databases and run a sql/plsql script in those different databases. What are the ways to write such a unix script? Thank you in advance.

    Just have a parameter which takes in the oracle connection parameters and use it in your sqlplus script with your shell script.
    Your sqlplus script can have a procedure/function call or an anonymous block;
    Then have a wrapper script to call the original script with different connection parameters. Hope this helps.
