Add new authorization object for production order creation/change/display

As mentioned. I definded new authorization object using "Production scheduler" (Field Name : FEVOR) by SU20. then use SU21/SU24 to add authorization object for some transaction code such as COOIS. use PFCG maintain new role and assign a fixed production scheduler value and assgin transaction code COOIS to this role. create new user ID and assign to that role.
logon system with new ID, run COOIS. but system don't check new authorization object(production scheduler). who can tell me why it is and how i can add new new authorization object for standard transaction code?

Hi,
there is an icon of generation. just click there in PFCG and also in su21.
then add this object in new role.
Assign this role to user id
while assigning the role also there is a generation.
Please take a help of BASIS consultant also as this is entire a BASIS process.

Please Help me out for IDoc Configuration for Production Order Creation and Change
I have found the IDoc for Production Order
Messgae Type : LOIPRO and IDoc type : LOIPRO01
Actually my requirment is to send the (LOIPRO01 )IDoc from SAP R/3 to XI system ,when ever the Production Order Created and Changed,
I have done following Configurations:
1. RFC Destination created for XI system
2. PORT was created for XI
3. Partner profile created WE20 and LOIPRO01 IDoc is added in OutBound Perameter.
I need to know how to do the followning.
1. How do i configure the outbound Production order idocs when Production Order is created or changed.
2. in NACE (Output control) which is the Application for Production Order.
3. How can I set IDoc as output Type for Production Order Creation.

Hi Michal,
I know that it is the old thread but still want to get clarified from you out of curiosity.
Unlike other IDOC, i actiavated change pointers for LOIPRO
1.message and idoc type is linked
2.function module , message type , idoc type is linked
function module used is CLOI_MASTERIDOC_CREATE_LOIPRO
3.BD64, distribution model is created and distributed
4. port and partner profile is in place.
5. IDOC is not getting generated after creating the process order.
do we need to activate the change documents for the message type in BD52,
if yes can you please provide the object types for the same.
or i am missing something else. please guide me in this regards.

Authorization check for production order settlement

Hi All,
Production order settlement currently can be done by any user of any company code. there is a high risk involved in the same since unauthorized postings may happen. Hence we need to add authorization check for production order settlement. Can we maintain the same at the plant or the company code level?

What venki has told abt the exit, its absolutely correct.Even i have used the same exit
 From table CAUFV pick Material(PLNBEZ),Basic Start Date(GLTRP),Plant(WERKS) .
 Pass parameter Material(PLNBEZ) and Plant(Werks) in table MBEW in respective fields i.e. Material(MATNR) and Plant(WERKS).
 Pick the latest record for the current period(LFMON) and year(LFGJA).
 Pick Product Cost Estimate number(KALN1) from the record and pass it to table KEKO.
 Check if Production Order Basic Start Date(GLTRP)<= BIDAT, if NO post Error Message.

We are using an interface to create Production orders from legacy to SAP. Would you recommend an IDOC or a BAPI to create Production orders. If IDOC or BAPI then could you please mention which one?

Hi John,
For your purposes, please use BAPI for production order creation from legacy system. There is no standard inbound IDoc available to use. SAP has an IDoc for outbound interface only (message type LOIPRO).
If there is an inbound IDoc available, I would recommend to use an IDoc.
IDoc technology has excellent error handling and will allow you to reprocess an error (if any).
BAPI is also good approach to use and fast in term of processing.
For BAPI approach, you can use BAPI BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE.

BAPI for Production order creation against wbs element

dear all,
I am using BAPI (BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE) for Production order creation against wbs element.I am putting following input paramters in this
material no,
order type
plant
qty
basic start dt & end dt
wbs
But during GRN it is not taking the account assignment as project stock i.e. its picking movement type 101 but it should be 101Q.
For this what changes are required.

2 options i can think of:
1. Create a BDC program by recording co10
2. Create a planned order with order type PR using BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CREATE, specify the WBS element & other details. Now use BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE_FROM_PLORD to create a production order with reference to the planned order created earlier.
I believe option 2 should meet your need. Check & revert.

You need to find BAdi for it, cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface .
Or try with SE84,
Enter the package name and check the " Enhancements"

Authorization object for Internal order

Hi experts,
My requirement is while creating the PO using the internal order as reference i need to check the internal order is valid for that user or not.
Is there is any standard authorization object for internal order is available using which i can validate the internal order by assigning this authorization object in the user role.

When you try to create internal order and once you get the error.
Open another session with /OSU53
This gives you the details of authorization objects or transaction codes you are lacking.
Provide this to security administrator of your team.

Do you happen to know how to find out the objects that should be added when using a role from a previous SAP version in a new one. That is, we have imported a role from a previous SAP version into our system and would like to update it with the latest objects. How should I find out which are the new objects?.

If you role has transactions in the menu the new authorization objects will be pulled in when you go to change the authorizations (select read old and merge with new under expert mode).
If the transactions are not in the menu you will need to do a compare of the usobt_c and usobx_c between the old and the new system.
During new auth objects analysis is performed via transaction SU25.

Number range Object for Production order Number range profile.

 Can anybody tell me how to maintain the Serial Number Range for production order serial no.
 I working on automatic serail no generation for production order.I have one serial no range profile which I am assigning to material in material master but I don't know the number range object for that profile.
 Or can anybody tell me how we attach serail no profile to a serial no range object.?
 Please it is urgently required..........

in the serial number profile there are certain business procedures which will create the serial no ,kindly check whether for your procedure you have assinged whether serial number to be arranged or not
slecect the serial number profile in sutomization field( which you have specified in Material master) and select the serialization procedure and check whether the PPRL procedure is assinged,also check the serial no usage assigned

Run time error while running BDC for production order creation and confirmation:

Dear Gurus,
We have a situation, where the users are trying to do the entries creation of order or confirmation (through manual and BDC). But, if there is any kind of a deficit quantities in consumption or GR quantity, then it is going to run time error and Dumps are coming in program SAPLCORB
and the transaction code is coming for CO11N.
How to avoid this error to run the production system in smoothing way...Any flash lights on this will be great full

Expert Caetano has rightly point out. Refer Note 1840705 - RAISE_EXCEPTION short dump if running CO11N in background
Cause
The short dump is triggered because SAP transaction CO11N contains new GUI elements that cannot always be dealt with in a background process,
such as the confirmation texts.
Resolution
SAP recommends that the standard production order BAPIs, such as BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT, should be used to post a confirmation in background.
If this is not feasible, the following workaround may be uses:
Define a confirmation profile in transaction OPK0;
In the detail areas, remove the area "Confirmation text";
Set this profile as standard, so that it is chosen automatically by the system when a batch-job
is started;
Assign this confirmation profile to the batch user with transaction SU3 using parameter CORUPROF.

BAPI for Production Order creation ?

Hi Experts,
I am new to PP module and as per my requirement I have to:
1. Create Production order in ECC 6.0
    After searching BAPI explorer, SDN and other sites I could see that there is no BAPI for Create Production order.
    In one of the link I could find FM CLOI_CHANGES_UPL_31 used to create Production order in SAP.
Is there any BAPI to create ??
Can anyone let mw know right FM or BAPI to create Production order with an example.
2. And I have to:
Delete Production order
which BAPI is used for deletion of Prd Ord
BAPI_PRODORD_SET_DEL_INDICATOR or BAPI_PRODORD_SET_DELETION_FLAG
For Confirm Production order - in ECC 6.0 Let mw know the BAPI for this ..

Is there any stadard authoriztion object to control the print and print preview options for Message control .
I am requied to control the print and print preview options for purchase order messages for certain users depeding on there authorizaion.

When you click on the 'print preview' button on ME22N/ME23N the system
makes an authority check on transaction ME9F activity 04. The current
logic forces the print preview functionality to be accessed ONLY by the
users who print. Therefore, only users that have authorization to use
ME9F are authorized to use the Print Preview button in ME22N/ME23N.
Kindly try the authorization objects M_BEST_EKG, M_BEST_BSA and
M_BEST_EKO = 04.
You can
also have a look the user exit
EXIT_SAPLMEDRUCK_001 in enhancement LMEDR001 for print program
SAPLMEDRUCK.
INCLUDE ZXM01U04
you can create own coding for all possible AUTHORITY-CHECK.

BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE does not contain all the parameters which are required to create a Production order.
It doesn't has some parameters like Size1,Size2,Size3,Unit, Formula,Length,Colour etc.
Pls suggest how to overcome this problem.
Kindly, let me know if the same BAPI can be used to create collective orders also or not?

You can achieve the same by creating transaction variant using SHD0 transaction.
