Add New SRID to Oracle

Hi All, I have been trying to map what is in my WKT from spatialreference.org to directions in the Oracle Spatial chapter 6 and I am struggling a little. Can anyone help me translate the following definition into insert statements to add the SRID in the Oracle?

Add an SRID that Oracle does not have?

Hi all,
I am trying to import a 3D image file with SRID: 3401 however my Oracle Spatial db (11.1) does not have it. (ORA-13249: SRID 3401 does not exist in MDSYS.CS_SRS table).
This is the SRID information: http://spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/3401/
Is there a way to add this SRID and if so, could you offer any assistance on adding it?
Also just wondering if there is a reason it may not be in spatial or if there is a Oracle Spatial equivalent for EPSG: 3401 that I don't know about?

How to Add new webservices in Oracle ECM 11g

In the Documenation of Oracle ECM 11g it is mentioned WSDL Generator is not supported in it.(Actually it is used to expose IDC services as webservices).
Anyone knows how to expose IDC services as webservices please let me know

The WSDL generator is actually in the content server. I am unsure why the documentation states that as it seems a little misleading. Please take a look at the administration menu and you will see options for wsdl generation and you can create wsdls for all different services.

Insert new row into oracle databse through application module usng ADF Form

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2. I am a beginner. I had tried in-built createInsert and commit method to add new row into oracle DB. For that, I had created ViewObject, VOImpl and AMImpl. Then, I created to jsf page. On first page, I dragged and dropped createInsert fn and VO(as ADF-readonly table) from DC Palette. and on second page, I dragged and dropped my VO(as ADF-Form) and commit (as Button) from DC palette. I created task-flow for it. when i click on createInsert button, i redirected to second page. where i filled all the required information on form. After filling, when i clicked commit button, i redirected to first page.(coz i created task flow to return first page after commit). New row is inserted into ADF-table, but when i checked my oracle DB, there was nothing added.
Thus, I want to use custom method to insert row into OracleDB. So how can i get this? what are the steps required to do this? what programming codes required in Bean.java and AMImpl.java. Or is there any other steps to do this?
please provide me detail steps and programming code for bean, amimpl or for VOImpl or EOImpl.

To insert a row into the db you have to use a VO which is based on an EO (entity object). There is no java class (or impl) needed. You can all do this decoratively.
All you have to think of is the PK of the new row. You can use Groovy for that (http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/09/02/using-groovy-expression-to-set-a-primary-key-with-a-sequence-number/)
The rest is like you described it yourself. Drag the Vo onto the page, drop it as read only table, drag the createInsert onto the page as button and set up the navigation. On the second page drag the same VO onto the page and drop it as ADF Form. drag the commit operation onto the page as button and setup the navigation back to the first page.

Commits should be issued by end user/client software on completion of a transaction. This means <tt>commit;</tt> should almost never appear in PL/SQL code. Add new images to /i/ in Apex 4, Oracle 10g

How can I add new images to Apex images? Previously it was worked in OracleXE (with WebDav), but in Oracle 10g I don't know how to do. Could somebody help me?

It depends on which webserver you are using. OHS, Apexlistener with Glassfish , etc.
In any of the above cases the location of the /i/ a.k.a images folder will be on the webserver. Check that out with whoever did your installation and (s)he will be able to help you out.

Oracle BPM add new field

Hi All,
I have a requirement to add a new field in Oracle BPM 12c. Currently my BPM application and UI fields are find but now I got a new requirement to add an additional field in UI. First I created a new variable under existing business object and then edited my process data object to incorporate changes. Now how I can add this field to different tasks UI?

How do you implement your UI? If they are implemented with ADF, and you create one project by task, without reusing Task Flows, you will need to update each UI and deploy them again.
If the field is only a UI need, you should bring the information from a Database, not store your information in the Business Objects unless that information is used for identification or routing on your process flow. Decoupling Oracle BPM Process Instance Information | AVIO Consulting
Try to reuse TaskFlows to reduce the time employed to update UIs.

Can not add new server

Hi,
I install Oracle Workshop for WebLogic 10.3 on Windows Vista and I create new remote server without problem but I can not see server state.
So I delete server and try add new one. Unfortunately when new server popup window is open and I click next (to Specify a WebLogic domain directory/Specify a remote host name) I can not type connection data because all fields but Re-enter password are disabled for remote server type.
Next I try reinstall Oracle Workshop and this takes no effect.

In new installation BEA2 I create new domain and start it. After configuring WebLogic Runtime Oracle WebLogic Server connection start to live.
Same procedure with old installation doesn't work.

11.5.9/OAF 5.7 : how to add new fields in iProc "search results" page

We need to add new fields into iProc "search results" page - "Personalize Self-Service Defn" is et, we can enter the personalization screens (from both the "master" link at top/right page level or from the link above the region) - anyway cannot find how to add new fields. Do we have to go to AK developer and/or XML files or is it feasable from OAF (as it is with 11510) ? TIA.

It depends on what fields you want to add.
1. If Oracle has included the fields, just render them via personalizations
2. If they are brand new fields:
a) you will need to extend the VO (I do not know the exact name).
b) change the query to get your extra db columns if necesary
c) add transient attributes to the VO and map them to b).
d) Then you need to add the items via personalization and map them to the attributes you created in c)

Error with "Add new Row" button in Master detail VO

How to add new data type

I need to add new data type like SDO_GEOMETRY in spatial Oracle.
I don't mean the User-Defined Datatype but new datatype imbed in the database.
It might be written in C++ or Java but I do not know how.

You cannot create a second XE database on the same server.
But, Oracle database can support as many Schema as you want.
"Oracle database" is like "SQL Server Instance" and "Oracle Schema" is like "SQL Server database". I means by this shortcut that for
the end users accessing to different Schemas looks like accessing to different databases.
You can have several applications on the same database. Each application has its own Schema and Datafile (Tablespace) structure.
So on your XE database you can add a new Tablespace and create a new User/Schema as follows:
sqlplus /nolog
connect / as sysdba
create tablespace {color:red}new_tablespace_name{color}
extent management local autoallocate
SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO
datafile '{color:red}complete_datafile_name{color}' size 100M autoextend on next 10M maxsize unlimited;
create user {color:red}new_schema_name{color} identified by {color:red}password{color}
default tablespace {color:red}new_tablespace_name{color}
temporary tablespace TEMP
quota unlimited on {color:red}new_tablespace_name{color}
grant connect, resource to {color:red}new_schema_name{color};Then you can connect to this new User/Schema as you defined it and create your new structure and load datas.
