Add on installation (SAP GRC compliance calib) - Post installation question

Hi,
I have installed Virsa RTA 5.1 on ECC 6.0. This is a brand new system and I have followed all the steps recommended by SAP. And after installation and activating the BC-sets, I was able to execute transactions for Role Expert and Compliance Calibrator in my 000 client. But when I logged onto a different client (let's say client 226.) I was able to execute transaction for role expert, and when I execute Compliance calibrator (/virsa/zvrat) nothing happens (the status bar says starting application Virsa CC and stops). It dosent even show any error. But as I said all the transactions are working fine in my 000 client. So am I missing any step here. Please help me in solving this issue.
Thanks,
Naveen

Juan,
Thanks for your suggestion... but I already tried it and actually I figured it out by myself... it was the type of userID. I was using a service user to access CC in the other client i.e 226. This sounds wiered but when I changed the user type to Dialog it worked... Anyways thanks for taking your time on this..

  • SAP Mobile 7.1 post installation activities

    Hi,
I have installed SAP Mobile 7.1 ABAP stack.
can any help in locating the post installation steps to activate the mobile contents?
I followed the steps given in the installation guide.
after that I tried to carry out the basic steps like "Create an Administrator Profile" as in the help document under http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/45/1b199aa3f021a1e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm.
I am unable to locate the roles mentioned there SAP_DOE_ADMINISTRATOR, SAP_DOE_TECH_ADMIN.
I believe I have missed some steps to activate the mobile contents.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ram.

    Hi Ram,
if I get yur issue right, you do ask for the installation parameters you need to enter.
I simply istalled the usual ABAP stack - once you have done that, run the function SDOE_WB for example. If that is available, you have done everything fine.
There is not really an MI stack you can select in the installaiton window.
And once you have done that, and SDOE_WB is accessible, please run TRX SDOE_SR for the post installation process.
Furthernore you will find a guid on all necessary steps for post inst here:

    Hope that helps!

  • Compliance Calibrator Post Installation checks.

Dear all, i'm trying to find some documentation regarding the CC post installation checks to ensure the system is installed fine. This is important because the installation is done by the customer themselves and I need to verify them before they should proceed to create or mitigate any rules in the system. Is there a checklist which i can refer to ?

    Peter,
You'll find this to be quite a task - if i have understood you correctly. That is if you want to verify that installation has suceeded and that it is actually working correctly.
Once you have gone through the post installation steps. That is, setting up the JCo Connections, SLD, Uploading the rules, usobt etc etc (This maybe creating the rules), Running the Full Sync for users/roles/profiles, analysis and management report background jobs and have not run into problems it is probably safe to say that everything has gone ok.
What i would do after this is select a couple of sample users and execute some user analysis reports and use data in the backend R/3 to verify the reports.
There isn't as far as i know a document which is able to <i>verify</i> the installation.
    Hope this helps,
    Cuneyt

  • Migrate SAP GRC AC 5.3 SP13 (System A - System B)

    Hello all,
currently we have setup 2 SAP GRC AC 5.3 SP13 SAP instances (DEV / PRD) for the customer's SAP ERP system landscape. Those systems also contain some customer business functionality.
Because of business requirements the PRD Java Instance needs to be deleted and built up again from scratch with another WebAS Java Release Version (same SID, same Hardware, etc.).
Our plan is now to setup a dedicated Java instance which will contain the PRD installation of SAP GRC AC (new SID, different hardware, etc.) to avoid similar problems in the future. Therefore we have to migrate all of the RAR data from the "old" Java instance to the newly setup Java system. We especially need to migrate all of the RAR analysis data (e.g. SoD violation analyses of previous months, etc.), otherwise we would loose all of this information when the "old" installation is deleted and built up again.
I have checked all of the SAP documentation for SAP GRC AC 5.3 and only found these clues:
In document "SAP GRC AC 5.3 Configuration Guide v3.16 - Chapter Utilities -> Export Utility / Import Utility" it only says
something about exporting / importing rule sets, mititgating controls, etc. Can these tools also be used to export / import
    analysis data too ?
In document "SAP GRC AC 5.3 Installation Guide v2.2 - Chapter Post-System Copy Configuration" it only says something about
steps to be executed if the SAP GRC AC installation was done via system copy. But there is no information about migrating RAR analysis data.
In document "SAP GRC AC 5.3 Operations Guide v2.1 - 7.2 Backup strategies" it says that in order to restore the system "you need to back up all tables with the following prefixes: VIRSA and VT". Can we simply do a backup of all of those tables, import
them into the database of the new system and the use the export/import utility to move all of the configuration etc. from the old system to the new one ?
    Regards,
    Benjamin

    Hello Sunny, hello Frank,
    thanks for the quick replies.
I did know about the SNOTE regarding the post migration steps, but the To-Do's Frank posted had some additional info in them.
One question remains still open though:
How to actually migrate all the GRC AC RAR data (incl. old analysis data) from System A to System B
Our intended course of action would be:
    1. Deploy SAP GRC AC on System B (same Version, SP-level etc. as in System A)
    2. Export all VIRSA* and VT* tables from DB of System A, import them all in DB of system B
    3. Export all configuration, etc. from System A, import it into System B (using the export / import functionality within RAR)
    4. Do all the post-migration tasks described by you
Would you agree with that course of action / know any pitfalls, etc ? We need to have all the "old" RAR analysis data from System A in System B after the migration because System A will be shutdown and deleted.
    Regards,
    Benjamin

  • Implementing SAP GRC CC 5.2 - Help with RTAs for SAP 4.0B & 4.6B Needed

We are in the process of implementing the SAP GRC Compliance Calibrator 5.2 across multiple environments including SAP legacy systems.  Our key issue is that we cannot find any RTAs for SAP 4.0B and 4.6B.
I am positive that someone has done this somewhere out there so I am looking for any information and/or solution that you may have implemented to resolve this.
Would you be kind enough to send the information to me asap.  I can be contacted on my personal email [email protected]
    Many thanks,
    Carlos

    Dear Carlos,
    Available RTAs :
    SAP 4.6B and above
    PeopleTool 8.46
    Oracle eBusiness Suite 11.5.10
    Hyperion HFM 4.1.0
In order for target systems to connect to Compliance Calibrator, each Real Time Agent (RTA) must:
Have an entry in the operating system services file of the NetWeaver server
Server must be restarted before new client entries are registered
Be defined as a Technical Landscape in the System Landscape Directory (SLD)
Have a login account for Compliance Calibrator to use for connection
This account information is used for configuring the Java connections

    1) As per SCM Inst. guide 7.0 SR1, post installation activity "5.13BI-Specific Post-Installation Steps", We need to do client copy and BI specific.
    2) In the Same guide there is a activity "5.17Performing the Client Copy".
    3) In Live 7.7 cache inst. guide, post installation activity "5.1.1Setting Up the Connection to the liveCache Instance".
I have gone through these two guides. Please clear out following doubts.
    1) As per SCM Inst. guide , Do we need separate client for BI-Specific activity and one more client for other acivity. OR we should have only one client for BI-Specific and SCM Specific activyt. So DO we required two separate clients ?. OR there always only one Production client in SCM system ?
    2) As per LiveCache inst. Guide, in the post installation activity we need to set up a connection. Is this connection to above mentioed BI-Specific client or other production client.?

  • Regarding post installation

    Hi,
could you all please help me in knowing the jobs that are to be scheduled after installation of an ECC server. I want to know the common jobs that are scheduled after the installation. The jobs may also include background jobs.
I hope some of the jobs are like checkDB, verifyDB...could you help me with more..
    vineeth

    Hello Vineeth,
Generally after the installation as a part of post installation we schedule standard background jobs which can be done through SM36, you may find a standard note on the Standard background jobs.

  • POST Installation steps for SAP XI 7.0 SP06

    Hi Experts ,
We are trying to install XI 7.0 SP06.We are suppose to carry out  post installation
steps but we are not able to locate a proper post installation guide for the same.
We have succesfully installed XI 3.0 earlier .However XI 7.0 post installation steps in the guide that we have "SAP NetWeaver 2004s SR1 ABAP+Java on Windows: Oracle" , are relatively less...
Nevertheless, we have carried out the following steps
5.21.1 Performing PI-Specific Steps for SLD Configuration
Local and Central System Landscape Directory (SLD)
    Mapping Security Role to User
    1. Log on to the Visual Administrator of the J2EE engine of the SLD host.
    2. Choose Cluster® Server® Services® Security Provider.
    3. In the Runtime tab, choose Policy Configurations and then the column Components, and select the component
    sap.com/com.sap.lcr*sld.
    4. Switch to the Security Roles tab to display the assigned roles.
    5. Select role LcrInstanceWriterLD.
The user SLDAPIUSER already exists with its security role LcrInstanceWriterLD.
    6. Switch to edit mode and add user PIAPPLUSER with the same role LcrInstanceWriterLD.
    Note
For a central SLD, the user PIAPPLUSER must be created in the central SLD ABAP system first and be
assigned to ABAP role SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER. The password must be same as in the XI Exchange
Profile on the XI Integration Server.
    Note
For information on the UME actions, see the Post-Installation Guide - SLD of SAP NetWeaver 2004s, section
Configuring SLD Security, at service.sap.com/sld® Media Library.
Maintaining SLD Connection Parameters (ABAP API)
    1. Log on to the SAP XI Integration Server System as user DDIC and call transaction SLDAPICUST. The screen
Maintain SLD Access Data is displayed.
    2. Choose Display <-> Change and proceed as follows:
    a) Replace the existing SLDAPIUSER with PIAPPLUSER user.
    Note
For a central SLD, make sure you use the user with security role LcrInstanceWriterLD.
    b) Make sure your entry is marked as Primary.
    Note
Only the entry marked as Primary is active.
    c) Save your settings.
    April 10, 2006 PUBLIC 97
Now we don't know wether the sld configuration is over or not ...or for that matter in RWB we see only J2se based adapter engine and  not J2ee based adapter engine...
    Kindly help

    Hi..
Instaed doing this, please try out template based configuration which has been mentioned in the installation guide or else do as follows
    1.Login into NWA (netweaver administrator)
    as
    http://<host.<domain>.<com>:<port>/nwa
2.Use J2ee_admin user id and password
    3.go to deploy and change
4.select template based configuration for PI
    5.execute the template
    6.install it
you can find the list of other templates which are clear and easy to do the post installation step..i found it useful ..
Apart from these, as per sandro, you can check the data transfer in visual administrator or go the abap engine, transaction RZ70, press accept proposal button
then execute button , check the data supply without any error
    Thanks

  • Post Installation Steps for ERP add-on Inventory Manager 4.0

    Hi,
I need to confirm what are the post-installation activities we must to perfom for ERP Add-on (Inventory Manager 4.0), besides de BC Activation. I did not find any information regarding the post installation steps for the ERP Add-on of Inventory Manager 4.0 (the installation guide for IM 4.0 on service marketplace does not remark the steps only explain the theorical part of the installation)... And we need to confirm if the steps are the same of Inventory Manager 3.2 Add-on or we must do an additional step?

    Stephen Streeter Manju Venkatesha

    Yeah...of course...
    I forgot to specify it.
I install the first ERP 2005 SR2 on Oracle 10.2.0.2 and the other have to be installed on the same version of DB.
    All installation are not MCOD.
This mean every installation has its own DB with different SID for every installation.
And of course I have at least doubled the space required by installer. Taken from sap notes the required space for ERP 2005 SR2 is about 90 GB.
The total space of mount point is about 500 GB....
    Thanks

    HI All,
The company i am working for has done installation of GRC 5.2. I would like to download the SAP out of box Compliance Calibrator rule sets for HR function module in a spreadsheet format.
I would like to download the rule set for risks at Function level, Tcode level and also at authorization object level in ABAP and Roles, actions and permissions in JAVA.
I will discuss with the BPAs, internal auditors and come up with a new rule set exclusively for my company needs with the help of the above spreadhseet.
Please tell me what steps i need to do to get this thing done.

Please go through the process but save these as txt files for UNIX. I am not sure about 5.2 but CC4 was not uploading rule files correctly if file was not saved for TXT for UNIX.

  • Installation of SAP GRC AC 10 without SAINT?

    Hi,
We are facing the issue that some pre-installation requirements are not met - SP Level of SAP_BASIS.
SAINT doesn't support the installation because of missing pre-installation requirements.
Do you know another way to install SAP GRC AC 10 Plug-In's? We would like to test it in our Sandbox.
    Thanks for feedback.
    Kind regards,

    Hi Bianka
What SAP_BASIS version are you on? According SAP Install Guide 4.6C is minimum level. If system is older than that you might need to look at a legacy connector instead.
This post most likely belongs in a different community - Basis related for system installation question
