Add single file to a configuration; simple steps?

we're creating configurations to spec what a release is comprised of.
We need to add a single file to a configuration. Oddly we've been guessing about and can't figure this out.
I'm creating a configuration from a PWA, stripping out all but one file. Then creating a new configuration from another configuration
(the previous config for this release), then Add member, to add this config. that
has the single file.
There has to be simplier steps?
BTW, the help within RON and the OTN tutorials don't mention this feature on configurations.
Thanks

Here's a work around for adding one or more files to a configuration that works for us.
Forwarned that this is the long way around but at least it's simple in concept.
Back ground:
- one uses configurations to control specific versions of files that describes a release
- In theory release 1.4 should be based on configuratoin for 1.3 plus or minus files and versions of existing files.
- My view is that if you break the verifiable inheritance of the next version from the previous
you are taking a risk.
Meaning, that the next version should always be based on the configuration of
the previous release.
- This procedure breaks the rule the above rule. ;-(
The work around that I've been able to get to work:
Short description: create the next cfg from LATEST, then use command line tool (compare cfgprevrelease cfgBasedOnLatest)
to determine what file versions need to be rolled back to be equal to the previous version, this captures the new files in the latest branch.
steps:
- Refresh your PWA to get the latest new files that you need to add to the release cfg
- create a temp cfg based on a PWA
- run the CLT compare -rpCfgPrevRel -rpTempCfgBasedOnLatest
- modify the temp cfg to v1.1 and set the file versions back to the versions in your previous release with exceptions of
of what files and versions you need in the next release.
- save
- Create your real configuration from the twiddled temp cfg.
- done
The reason why we use the temp cfg is that we never version a cfg. Our release cfg's are always version 1.0.
This is mainly folklore, since we name the cfg for the ear name;
product-v10-04102003 which is the date at the end. So there will never be version 1.1
of this cfg given the v10 and date.
I've writen all this down for developers to faithfully reproduce and you may email me for a copy.

Good luck curt

The only thing you may need is to display the menubar at the top of the iTunes window. Use the CTRL button, CTRL+B and Store is on that menu.

  • Simple steps to set up SAP Web Dispatcher and SSL

    Hi,
Could someone please provide simple steps explaining how to configure the SWD to communicate using end-2-end SSL with an XI server? The J2EE engine is listening on port 50001 for HTTPS requests. I have verified SSL is fine through direct connectivity.
Also our SWD now works fine with HTTP.
    Could someone explain the following:
    1. What parameters must I specify in the SWD profile file?
    2. Do I have to add any parameters via RZ10 to the instance profile?
    3. Do I have to create and activate an HTTPS service via SMICM?
    4. Do I have to activate any internet services via SICF?
    Thanks

    Hi Eddy,
Sorry just got round to checking on this. The documentation you point to here is what we used as the basis for our setup.
We are attempting to use End-2-End SSL and did modify the SWD profile accordingly. It does not work however. If I connect via SSL directly to the J2EE server it works fine. Also connecting via HTTP thru the SWD works as well.
We are unsure as to whether there is something (parameters, service, etc.) that we have to set up via SMICM and/or RZ10 to enable SSL on the ICM? Or even whether that is necessary.
Ideally what I'd like is if someone can explain step-by-step what needs to be set up in the ABAP stack/message server that would be great.
    Thanks

  • Can you add new file extensions to be treated as C source?

Hi, using Sun Studio 9, is it possible to add a new file extension to those treated as C sources? I can see how to do it for header files (Options -> IDE Configuration -> System -> Object Types -> C and C++ Header Data Objects -> Extensions and MIME types) but this option is not available for C files.
In case anyone's wondering why you'd want to do this: we use .pc extensions for C files containing embedded SQL statements. It's then pretty simple to make a .pc.c rule in makefiles to run the pre-compiler.

This goes both ways, but long time Quark users will almost certainly have developed some bad habits that should be broken if using InDesign. [check out theInDesigner.com podcasts. the first few are audio only but the first one in particular deals with this idea, and others reinforce it with specifics.]<br /><br />Your concern about Quark Project files does not fit into this catagory though. But it's more than a way to catalogue and codify your files, you can access the rest of the suite from Bridge, you can even access specific functions of the other applications directly within Bridge.<br /><br />Version Cue manages projects. It keeps track of who did what to where and what version is current. It also allows you to submit different versions for consideration and revert specific items of your layout to previous versions  or is that Bridge? Hi All,
When i am generating multiple IDOC for the same message type, i am getting multiple payload for the same as a result i used to get multiple files generated in application server.
Now if i use BPM only to collect multiple IDOC to a file then what all the steps that i need to follow for the same.
Ex: I want to post 10 IDOC for a single IDOC type,, Now using BPM in XI i want to collect all the 10 IDOCs with multiple payload into one single message and then want to process this in XI to generate the file.
It would be glad if anyone refer me a good step by step blog for the same.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jay

    Thanks a lot Abhisek.
I have also got a blog explaining the exact thing. But in the blog the ID part was missing which is present in the link you have provided.
I will be glad if you can through some light on the ID part,, however the IR part and the BPM part is now mostly okay to me.
I will configure this today only,, and may seek your help for any huddle.
    Thanks a lot once again.

  • Single file to multiple IDOC's (on Multiple R3 Clients):

    Hi,
We have a complex Landscape with multiple (4) businesses (multiple R3) instances and most common R3 --> DEV 4 instances with 5 clients each, QAS 4 instances with 2 clients each with some additional clients, PRD 4 instances with a client each and Training 4 instances with 2 clients each in the Landscape along with BW systems.
We are trying to implement standard MDM - XI - R3 distribution scenario. Only difference being MDM Production will be the Master distribution client and have to be distributing to all the R3 clients. For those who doesn't know SAP MDM - is Master Data Management Engine and within this scenario the output from MDM is standard XML IDOC file.
To achieve this syndication is being planned as MDM production to distribute files to 4 businesses to 4 file share folders. These files will be picked up by XI production and will be distributing(Creating IDOCs) on multiple receivers (R3 --> DEV, QAS and PRD) clients of the respective instances.
    The one to one scenario is very simple to build MDM XML file from file adapter to R3 IDOC of IDOC adapter, but for our business it becomes one file to multiple R3 clients (IDOCs) on multiple R3 instances;
My question is: Is there an easy way to configure single file to mutiple R3 client IDOC receivers scenario? Also there might be additions and deletions of the R3 clients based on business requirements. Is there any proposed or already implemented procedure to achieve this complex distribution?
We have planned on trying to define a business system for each R3 client (DEV/QAS/PRD) and to have the integration directories configuration built for all the 47 clients that the data needs to be distributed. With IDOC Adapter is this the only way to go? Also, in future if there are additions or deletions of clients it becomes maintenance intensive and there won't be a quick way to stop the distribution?
Your time and input is appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    -Raj.

    Michal,
Thanks for your answer and FAQ.
I think I am confusing everyone with my long messages!
We already have XI DEV, XI QAS, XI PRD.
But business requirement for the global harmonization MDM scenario is that MDM PRD should be able to distribute the XML files (IDOC fields in GLMAST01 - IDOC format) to all the DEV, QAS and PRD (R3) systems in the landscape. For this distribution XI is used as the integration partner (File adapter picks up the XML file from MDM file share location and IDOC adapter creates an IDOC on the respective R3).
For this specific scenario though XI-DEV and XI-QAS systems are present they are available only for testing phase. After the scenario is moved into production, XI-PRD should be able to pick up the XML file from MDM and distribute it to all the DEV, QAS, PRD R3 systems.
Same file needs to be distributed to 20 DEV clients across 4 DEV instances, 27 QAS clients across 4 QAS instances and 12 PRD/TRN(training clients).
Yes, as you said in your answer earlier deleting a client from the distribution is removing the client from the receiver determination (and removal of corresponding Interface determination, sender agreement and receiver agreement).
Addition of a client for distribution is adding the client (business system) in receiver determination (and addition of of corresponding Interface determination, sender agreement and receiver agreement).
Do I have to maintain all the 59 (Clients from different systems) sets of config within the ID and all the systems in SLD of XI - DEV/QAS/PRD? Even if I do so, Is this the right way to go, defining all the DEV/QAS/PRD clients within all the SLD's of XI -  DEV/QAS/PRD?
I am not finding an easy way to architect this.
I appreciate your time and patience.
    Thanks and regards,
    Rajani Kanth Yalamanchili.

  • Transcode sony CX700V AVCHD MTS to Mac without compression with a few simple steps

As one of the hottest products from Sony Hanycam line in 2011, Sony HDR-CX700V offers Full HD 60p and 28Mbps recording, as well as a traditional 60i record mode. With the camcorder's 96GB of internal flash memory, you are able to record long-time high definition videos. If you have recorded videos with your new Sony HDR- X700V for the special events like wedding receptions of your friends or relatives, birthday party of your little daughter or your holiday videos, you may want to make great home movies for enjoying high definition memories in big TV with your family & friends. So the question is how to transcode sony CX700V AVCHD MTS to Mac at best?
Bundled software from Sony Picture Motion Browser may be able to help merge your video footage into one but it’s only limited to windows version. If you use a Mac,Final Mate for Mac is highly recommended for dealing with camcorder footage. Actually, it’s one of rare products on market that is capable of merging AVCHD videos without any conversion or re-encoding, which can preserve your original quality and enable you to enjoy your high definition memories on big TV.
This guide introduces how to merge/combine 1080/60p 28Mbps mts video files from Sony CX700V to one single file without transcoding on Mac computer with featured product Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac nearly released by Aunsoft Studio.
1.Capture/Import Sony CX700V AVCHD files to the program.
There are two ways to import CX700V mts videos to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac: you can directly capture/copy/extract MTS clips from camcorder to the program o you can browser videos from your computer.
Capture Sony CX700V AVCHD videos from camcorder.
Connect CX700V camcorder to computer via USB cable, and launch Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac from Application folder. With built-in wizard, you can easily to capture mts video files from CX700V to the program. Select “Import” instead of Backup to quickly capture videos from camcorder. You can find imported videos under “Camcorder Tab” in the main interface of Final Mate.
    Import AVCHD videos from computer.
If you have already backup all your video recordings from Sony CX700V to your computer, you can browse your video path and the software will automatically show your AVCHD clips in “Resource Tab”.
2.Merge CX700V MTS files into one movie for lossless output
Click the drop-down button of “Add Movie” icon and choose “For Lossless Output” to create a blank movie.
Then drag and drop video clips from Camcorder Tab (imported from Sony CX700V) or Resource Tab (imported from computer) to this new movie. In this way, all your clips have been merged together as a whole complete movie for lossless output which means no re-encoding is involved.
3.Lossless output combined AVCHD movie without re-encoding
Click Export button to start output your movie. You can find combined Sony CX700V MTS videos in output folder of your Mac machine without any quality loss. Plus as no decoding or re-encoding is involved, so the whole process of lossless output will be finished in only a few seconds or minutes.
The guide can be also applied to other AVCHD, TOD, MOD camcorders from Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Canon camcorder brands. Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac could be an ideal companion for you to enjoy real HD experience on TV.
Tip: you may also interested to know how to convert Sony AVCHD files to Apple ProRes for editing in Final Cut Pro orconvert AVCHD to Apple Intermediate Codec(AIC) for editing in FCE/iMovie.

How do you copy the entire folder structure? I normally go to my computer (on a PC, my mac's not arrived yet) and the camera appears as a drive. If I open this up I find a folder with all my images/movie clips in. I just lterally drag and drop these files from the camera 'drive' onto my hard drive. Obviously I'm just dragging a whole heap of individual files though, not an entire folder structure.
I do still find it strange though that my old PC running old software can do this simple task ot reading/using mts, yet a brand new all singing all dancing mac with new software can't. Why is it that PC doesn't need these metadata files and the Mac does? Or I should really ask, why doesn't the Mac have the capability of reading/using files without this data when an old PC can?

  • How many databases can be opened simultaneously in a single file?

    To all:
I don't known how many databases can be opened simultaneously in a single file. After my application open 499 databases in a single file simultaneously, DB->open return error 12.(can not allocate memory ?).
How can i do ? Thanks.

    I found it:
    Berkeley DB Reference Guide:
    Locking Subsystem
         PrevRefNext
    Configuring locking: sizing the system
The lock system is sized using the following three methods:
    DB_ENV->set_lk_max_locks
    DB_ENV->set_lk_max_lockers
    DB_ENV->set_lk_max_objects
The DB_ENV->set_lk_max_locks, DB_ENV->set_lk_max_lockers, and DB_ENV->set_lk_max_objects methods specify the maximum number of locks, lockers, and locked objects supported by the lock subsystem, respectively. The maximum number of locks is the number of locks that can be simultaneously requested in the system. The maximum number of lockers is the number of lockers that can simultaneously request locks in the system. The maximum number of lock objects is the number of objects that can simultaneously be locked in the system. Selecting appropriate values requires an understanding of your application and its databases. If the values are too small, requests for locks in an application will fail. If the values are too large, the locking subsystem will consume more resources than is necessary. It is better to err in the direction of allocating too many locks, lockers, and objects because increasing the number of locks does not require large amounts of additional resources. The default values are 1000 of each type of object.
When configuring a Berkeley DB Concurrent Data Store application, the number of lock objects needed is two per open database (one for the database lock, and one for the cursor lock when the DB_CDB_ALLDB option is not specified). The number of locks needed is one per open database handle plus one per simultaneous cursor or non-cursor operation.
Configuring a Berkeley DB Transactional Data Store application is more complicated. The recommended algorithm for selecting the maximum number of locks, lockers, and lock objects is to run the application under stressful conditions and then review the lock system's statistics to determine the maximum number of locks, lockers, and lock objects that were used. Then, double these values for safety. However, in some large applications, finer granularity of control is necessary in order to minimize the size of the Lock subsystem.
The maximum number of lockers can be estimated as follows:
    * If the database environment is using transactions, the maximum number of lockers can be estimated by adding the number of simultaneously active non-transactional cursors open database handles to the number of simultaneously active transactions and child transactions (where a child transaction is active until it commits or aborts, not until its parent commits or aborts).
    * If the database environment is not using transactions, the maximum number of lockers can be estimated by adding the number of simultaneously active non-transactional cursors and open database handles to the number of simultaneous non-cursor operations.
The maximum number of lock objects needed for a single database operation can be estimated as follows:
    * For Btree and Recno access methods, you will need one lock object per level of the database tree, at a minimum. (Unless keys are quite large with respect to the page size, neither Recno nor Btree database trees should ever be deeper than five levels.) Then, you will need one lock object for each leaf page of the database tree that will be simultaneously accessed.
    * For the Queue access method, you will need one lock object per record that is simultaneously accessed. To this, add one lock object per page that will be simultaneously accessed. (Because the Queue access method uses fixed-length records and the database page size is known, it is possible to calculate the number of pages -- and, therefore, the lock objects -- required.) Deleted records skipped by a DB_NEXT or DB_PREV operation do not require a separate lock object. Further, if your application is using transactions, no database operation will ever use more than three lock objects at any time.
    * For the Hash access method, you only need a single lock object.
For all access methods, you should then add an additional lock object per database for the database's metadata page.
Note that transactions accumulate locks over the transaction lifetime, and the lock objects required by a single transaction is the total lock objects required by all of the database operations in the transaction. However, a database page (or record, in the case of the Queue access method), that is accessed multiple times within a transaction only requires a single lock object for the entire transaction.
The maximum number of locks required by an application cannot be easily estimated. It is possible to calculate a maximum number of locks by multiplying the maximum number of lockers, times the maximum number of lock objects, times two (two for the two possible lock modes for each object, read and write). However, this is a pessimal value, and real applications are unlikely to actually need that many locks. Reviewing the Lock subsystem statistics is the best way to determine this value.
I created DB_CONFIG file, and add three lines:
    set_lk_max_locks 20000
    set_lk_max_lockers 20000
    set_lk_max_objects 20000
As the default values are 1000 of each type of object, my applicaton open 499 database(except internal database) simultaneously(CDB modal) . After changed parameters, my application opend above 6000 database.

  • I have one apple ID for multiple devices in my family.  I'd like to keep it that way for itunes/app purchases.  I would like a simple step 1, step 2, step 3 response on what I need to do to separate all other features like imessage, contacts, emails, etc.

I have one apple ID for multiple devices in my family.  I'd like to keep it that way for itunes/app purchases.  I would like a simple step 1, step 2, step 3 response on what I need to do to separate all other features like imessage, contacts, emails, etc.
I have been reasearching how to do this on the internet, but I haven't found an easy explanation yet.  My family is going crazy over each others imessages being sent to others in the family and not being able to use FaceTime because of conflicting email addresses.  I have read that if each person gets their own iCloud account, this would work.  However, I need to know what to do after I set everyone up with their own iCloud account.  Do I make that the default email address to be contacted or can they still use their hotmail email addresses.  Any help- with easy explanation- would be much appreciated!!

We do this in my family now.  We have one account for purchases, so it is used to share music and apps (I think that is in Settings/iTunes & App Stores).  Each iDevice has this configured.
Then, each of us has our own iCloud account that is configured under Settings/iCloud.  That then allows us to have our own Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Reminders/Safari Bookmarks/Notes/Passbook/Photo Stream/Documents & Data/Find My iPhone/and Backup.  That Backup piece is pretty sweet and comes in handly if you replace your iDevice.  You can just restore from it.
So we all share the Apple Store account but we all have our own iCloud accounts to keep the rest seperate or things like you mentioned are a nightmare.
In answer to what iCloud does for you: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/
Think of it as an internet based ("cloud") area for all of those items listed in my response.  What you need to remember is photo stream only maintans the last 1000 pictures so don't count it as a complete backup solution for your pictures.  Even though I rarely sync with a computer these days, I do still try to sync my phone with iPhoto (I have an iMac) so that I have copies of all of my pictures.  1000 may not stretch as far as it sounds.

  • Recover a single file in Content Services

I've been asked to document how we would go about recovering a single file in Content Services. The Trash/Archive angle I'm clear on, but what about an extreme case. Lets say that someone created a file, trashed it, emptied the trash, and then it expired from the Archive before the user realized that they needed the file.
Is it possible, and if so how would one go about getting the file back assuming that there is a full db backup once a day?
Would enabling BFILE aging help? If so, how?
On a related note: If archive is set to expire content after 1 month, but BFILE aging is turned off, when does deleted content get purged from the Archive? It's not 1 month, as I have deleted files in the Archive going back to January.

Archive expiration and BFile aging are orthogonal. BFile pushes the LOBs of documents that are in the archive to bfile. Archive expiration deletes files from the archive after the configured time. If this is not the behaviour you are seeing please file a TAR and they can help check whether your system is configured correctly or if you are running into a bug.

  • Cannot open dashboard from connected client to restore a single file

I have a small business network with an existing Server 2008 R2 domain controller.  In order to backup all the client machines with an experience something like windows home server I recently purchased a new server with windows server 2012 r2 and
    installed the essentials role.
I'm able to connect client machines (running windows 7) to the new server and get them to backup.  I assume (but have not yet tested) that I would be able to do a full image restore by creating a client restore bootable usb key and booting a client from
that, but first I'd like to be able to browse the files in a client backup and restore a single file rather than the full image.  It seems that the only way to do that is to run the dashboard as a remoteapp from the client, but when I try that I get this
    error:
I thought that I might need to add the remote desktop services role.  So I tried doing that and publishing the dashboard as a remoteapp, but the error still appears.  Even if that fixed the problem, though, I would be concerned that would mean we
needed RDS CALs for each client which seems like overkill just for the ability to restore a single file from a backup.
So, is there any other way to get to the dashboard or otherwise restore files onto a client?
    Thanks.

  • Multiple ISA's in a single file while batching outbounds

    Hi,
    Here is a peculiar scenario.
We have few customers which send PO through a third-party TP. Though we get these files from a third-party vendor, the orders will still contain the acutal customer sender id's. So we have configured a single Trading partner setup in B2B for this third-party vendor and before we feed the file to B2B, we are flipping the sender id(TEMP_TP) in ISA segments, so that B2B can identify and process the file.
While sending the outbounds back to B2B, we are over-riding the ISA SenderId value using Internal properties from BPEL from the common TEMP_TP to actual customer sender ids. This is to avoid the development of external pos-processing logic to re-flip the TP to individual customer names.
We have also enabled time-based batching for this trading partner. However when B2B batches the outbound file, it creates MULTIPLE ISAs for each sender id and writes all of them in a single file.
I understand that there have to be multiple ISAs if there are more than one Sender id, but my problem is i don't want to have multiple ISAs in the single file. Is there any setting to be done for each of these ISAs to be created in different file. I would like to have only one ISA in a file though the batching is enabled.
    Please suggest
    Thanks,
    Phani

    Eng,
    Thanks for your response.
When we send each ST/SE segment to B2B from BPEL, we are overriding the ISASenderId property by setting a value in Internalproperties.
This value will not be same if the order belongs to different customers. So when such orders(ST/SE) with different Over-ridden sender Ids are being batched in B2B(they will be sent to a single TP) , it creates a single file with multiple ISA segments, by batching all the ST/SE belonging to one senderid in each ISA.

    Phani
