Add style to sort links

When I make a column sortable in a report, the link takes it's style from a:active in the style sheet. However, I would like to customize it so that it uses a different style (e.g. t14ReportHeader). However, I cannot find where I would make that change, or if there is an easy way to change that in the CSS.
The column headings in the report template show:
<th class="t14ReportHeader"#ALIGNMENT# id="#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#">#COLUMN_HEADER#</th>
However, I need to change #COLUMN_HEADER# as it is in there that the link is created.

if you just need it on one page, put it into the "HTML Header" property of your "Page Attributes". Eg.
<style type="text/css">
// your CSS which overwrites t14ReportHeader
</style>If you need it on all pages, put the above code into your page template(s). It has to be after
<link rel="stylesheet" href="#IMAGE_PREFIX#themes/theme_xxx/xxx.css" type="text/css" />You should also consider putting it into a separate file if it's more CSS code. Then the browser is able to cache it and it hasn't to be transmitted each time.

Just like the title says, I need help with creating more than one CSS text link style in Dreamweaver CS4. For instance, I want the navigation on the website I'm building to have a different text link style than a link in some part of the body copy. I've been playing with Dreamweaver for a while and can't find any way to do this. If it's even possible to do this, I would really appreciate any help.

Yes it is possible but as you have failed to provide a valid link to your site, I will tell you in general Terms:
1) First create a class or an ID to to your Nav bar;
2) Now style your navbar in such a way that these styles will only apply to your nav bar. To do this, you start your style by doing something like this:
ul#vavigation {.........}
ul#navigation a {.........}
ul#navigation a:hover {.........}
ul#navigation li {.........}
your html code might look like this:

Linking is done in HTML, not CSS (with the exception of a link to a background picture)
So, if your navigation is a list, you'd have the following in your HTML:

Here, in the example above, I'm using the HTML5 <nav>, but that could be an HTML4 <div class="nav"> and you will see a link to an internal page on the same website server for Home, About, Books and Contact with "External Link" pointing to another website external to the one we're on.

How to apply style to multiple links?

I'm a newbie here, so maybe this is a simplistic question. I am having trouble applying a color style to multiple links on a webpage at the same time. I have a page setup with a layout similar to the Drudge Report, which posts href links separated by horizontal rule lines. I want to apply a color style to these links, but I'm finding I have to select each link individually in design mode to apply the style. When I select multiple links in design mode, the color doesn't apply to the text. It's time consuming to select each link individually. I can do this easily in Microsoft Visual Web. How can I do it in Dreamweaver?

The best way is to put all related links into a division.
Let's say you want to have red links in your #header and white links in your #footer which has a black background.
CSS, set up two sets of link styles:

Css style sheet not linking

I am fairly new to dreamweaver and css. I have created an
html page and I created an external css style sheet for it. When I
preview it in my browser, it works, but when I FTP it and check the
site on the server, the html page doesn't "refer" to the css page
that I created. I checked my remote view of the server, the style
sheet is there and the source for the web page says that it should
be refering to it.
Here's the link to my page. It's a school project. I only
have the first page created for it so even tho there are rollovers,
there are no pages linked them, so just ignore that.

If you go look at the arts and crafts page you will see that it has
a style sheet that links just fine to it, and I created it in the
same way. I'm at a loss here, since I'm really new to this web
design stuff.
BTW, I'm using Dreamweaver MX 2004 right now. I'll upgrade as
soon as I get my new computer, but either way, I don't think that
using an earlier version of the software is what is creating the
problem, right?

returns a
403 (Forbidden) error. An imaginary stylesheet whose name I
entered
returned a 404 (File not found). In the other project which
had an
external stylesheet, there was no problem. So - it sounds
like a
permission issue on silversparkstyle.css. I'm not sure if
MX04 has a
file permissions 'thing' built in; if not, you'll either have
to get an
FTP client which does file permissions (FileZilla for Windows

putty, in preference to Telnet) to log in and change the
permissions.

Sorting linked lists - Help

I am writing a program for an assignment that reads a file containing population growth for all the Counties in the U.S. I'm required to use a link list to store the data. They want me to sort the data based on certain criteria. My first problem is that as each new County instance is created, it is to be inserted into this linked list in alphabetical order first by county name.
My understanding of linked lists is that they cannot be randomly accessed like a vector or an array. So is it possible to do this without using a vector or an array? And how would I go about it?

(Why would they have you store this data in a linked list??)I their reasoning is to have us learn how to implement linked list because it can grow or shrink when necessary.(Other than that I don't understand the practicality of it either)
Are you using a doubly linked list (forwards and backwards)?The assignment does not specify a certain linked list to use.
Did your prof mention any sort algorithms you might use? He states later in the assignment that I have to generate different growth reports by using MergeSort.

Disable "add to my page" link for an administrative preference portlet

Is there a way to disable the "add to mypage" links for some portlets on a page.
Maybe an adaptive tag to accomplish this?
This would give the user that ability to add one portlet to several communities and prevent anyone from adding the portlet to a mypage.

As you said directly with read permissions the dashboard link doesnt appear because that is rendered through administartor.
You have got it when you added to "Presentation Administrator group" i.e because the server side will handle all the possibilities and the permissions on it.
create your own catalog group again and name it and then after that checkout you have given the right dashboard name and dont leave the dashboard builder empty..Fill it up with Administrator and the user you want to give access then add members to the group and give them the neccessary permissions so that would give them access.

Can't add row to sorted tabular form

I have a very basic tabular form created using the wizard. The only significant change I made was to the sort order. When I click on the add row button, the new blank row is created at the top of the table. When the number of rows in the table grew beyond the page size (10), the blank row seems to be created at the top, but the form goes to the last page of data so the blank row is never displayed.
If I remove the ordering then the blank row is added at the bottom and the automatic navigation to the last page shows the blank row.
How can I modify this behaviour - either add the blank row at the end, or display the first page when adding rows.

Sort order is (dt_date desc, dt_meal_type)

I've had a look at your javascript idea. It took a little bit of figuring out but I think I understand it. I had to modify it a bit so that it cleared the values (I'm not trying to clone anything - I just want a blank record).
After spending a whole morning on this I still have 2 fairly serious outstanding issues:
a) When I enter some values into my new blank record and hit Submit nothing seems to be saved and the record just seems to get lost (I suspect I have cleared out some important hidden fields or something)
b) It doesn't work if the table is blank and I am trying to enter the very first record.
I'm sure it's possible to fix these issues but I am no javascript expert and I have come to the conclusion that it just isn't worth investing any more time.
The benefit of Application Express to me is that it is a simple declarative development environment. There are many things I need to be concerned about and javascript just isn't one of them.
Whilst I wait for the tabular forms functionality to mature, I think I will go back to the good old report + Edit button style.

I'm looking for where these can be configured. This is for a straight up Visual Studio 2013 system - not using SSRS (reporting is
Local mode). Ideally, I would like to add a custom style - but would certainly entertain just updating an existing style with the color scheme decided on by the project stake holders.

Ok - looks like the styles are hard coded in the ReportDesigner.Control.dll.
There is a reference to MapStyleCustom - but haven't tracked down how I can set customer values for this (if I can).
