Is it possible to change Add Time Stamp format ??
If so please let me know the procedure to chnage it..
It is scenario with no mapping so i cant go either Dynamic configuration or Variable substitotion.
Thanks & Regards,
Polas

Hi,
I think you need to assign it dynamically as you cannot change the format for Add TimeStamp
  See the below links:

  • Customizing Time Stamp In Receiver File Adapter

    Hi,
    I am working in a XI to file adapter scenario.
    The default time stamp in receiver file adapter is yyyyMMdd-HHmmss-SSS.
    I want to time stamp as "ABC_MM_DD_YYYY_HH_MM_SS".
    i searched SDN,but not getting an end to end approach.
    Like...I developed a UDF ,but when I map it to receiver root node..I am getting error.
    Please help.
    Just request for a step by step procedure.
    Also,ASMA is not v clear to me......
    Plzzzzzzzzzzzz help!!
    Regards.

    Hi sriparna,
    The timestamp used by the File Receiver Adapter is a default pattern, to achieve that you have to use a UDF in the middle of the MM and set the receiver file name with the ASMA, read this for further information:

  • How do you vary the Date/Time stamp format in File Adapters

    In the receiver channel of the File Adapter where you specify the 'File Name Scheme', you do have the option of specifying a 'File Construction Mode' of 'Add Time Stamp'.  How can you specify a different Date/Time stamp format ( eg MM/DD/YY vs YYYYMMDD vs MMDDYY, etc. ) without changing the Date/Time stamp for the entire SAP system?  Also, can you control where the Date/Time stamp appears in the filename?

    Hi,
    There are many threads discussing the same issue. Go thro the following:
    Dynamic file name (Date) in Receiver File Adapter
    Receiver File Adapter - TimeStamp
    Bhavesh's reply in above thread:
    You can use Adapter Specific Identifiers and then change the file name in the mapping. Append the tiem stamp in the format that you want and so on.
    Just use this code in an UDF,
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String SourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    java.text.SimpleDateFormat dateformat = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat( "yyyyMMdd" );
    dateformat.format( new java.util.Date() );
    String newfilename=SourceFileName+dateformat;
    // change to new file name
    conf.put(key, newfilename);
    return "";

  • Time Stamp format from file problem

    Hey there,
    I have a pretty peculiar problem. I'm working on two PCs right now, one is my private laptop running on Windows 8, and the other one the PC at my workplace, running on Windows XP, but on the same version of LabVIEW. I use this method to save the time and date to a tab delimited .txt file. Then later, with another VI, I read the date and time written to file to reconstruct the time stamp. I've noticed that dates written to file from my workplace differ from the dates written from my private PC: in Windows XP, there are "-" separating the day, month and year. In Windows 8, it's "/". There are other differences (see pictures). So naturally, when reading from file using my VI, I can only read on my private PC files (or at least dates) written on my private PC and vice versa, I can't read files written on my private PC on my workplace PC. Can anybody tell me why there's a difference in format, or how to write the date uniformly so I can read it on any PC, or how to read both formats?
    So this is the method I use for writing the time and date (the subVI only inserts a certain number of TAB characters).
    This is what it looks like on Windows 8
    This is what it looks like on Windows XP
    This is the VI (attached) I use to read the time stamps (the first row actually contains the time stamp in HH:MM: SS format for a whole bunch of measurements).
    Have a nice day.

    I would suggest using the ISO-8601 UTC format.
    The only limitation is that the string value is in reference to GMT.
    The conversion of the string back to a timestamp will present the date/time on your front panel indicator as local time.

    Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T

  • File adapter- Add time stamp

    Dear All,
    Scenario:-
    File to Proxy and Acknowledgement SAP to File.
    Once the file is received by SAP and first ack is send as recepit of file to Legacy system, after that the process goes ahead and do other validation and the same outbound proxy is triggered and send the respeonce.
    Now in Ack i am using the same strucutre to send the file receipt and the other response and in file adapter I am differentiatiing the file with Add time stamp option.
    Problem:-
    My Ack Response from R3 is coming very immidiately. For example Reciept time stamp and other response time stamp is same.
    Hence my legacy system is not able to differentiate which is the first flow. Ideally after receipt the other file will be seen by Legacy.
    How can I resolve the problem in case when the time stamp for both the flow is same.
    I can see Add time stamp option has yyyyMMdd-HHmmss-SSS wat is SSS stands for?
    Chirag.

    Hi,
    My Ack Response from R3 is coming very immidiately. For example Reciept time stamp and other response time stamp is same.
    Request / response timestamp can't be same, even if it happens at real time.
    I can see Add time stamp option has yyyyMMdd-HHmmss-SSS wat is SSS stands for?
    SSS is milliseconds having values between 000-999.

  • Error when add seconds to Time Stamp format

    Hi,
    I've created a subVI that transform an string data/time to Time stamp format.
    The subVI seems that it works fine, but when I use the data 26/10/2014 and I add 1 day, it crashes! The result is 26/10/2014 23:00:00 instead of 27/10/2014 00:00:00.

  • Appending and add time stamp at a time........

    Hi all,
    i am working on a scenario...
    it is file based..no mapping and bpm can be used.
    I need to pick up file through xi and append it and put in the target with time stamp to it.
    we can achieve this if mapping or bpm is allowed.....
    But,in file processing we can use only one option at a time.....
    I found a way:
    scenario one: files will be appened and kept in a temparory folder
    using another scenario we will pick up the appeneded file and add time stamp and keep in target structure...
    but i dont think this is advisable...
    please suggest me any other ways to achieve this...(can run operating system command be helpfull??)
    thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    Kiran.

    HI,
    Yes you are right, Appending and adding Time Stamp will not be possible simultaneously.
    Refer - this could help you
    Dynamic Filename with TimeStamp
    Dynamic Filename with TimeStamp
    /people/william.li/blog/2006/04/18/dynamic-configuration-of-some-communication-channel-parameters-using-message-mapping
    But some how you have to use mapping for it. Then if its allowed to use the mapping then as you have suggested, should have to go for two scenarios. No alternative,
    Probably also you can try with Customized Adapter Module for this.
    Thanks

  • Date and time stamp for the file

    Hi Experts,
    My Requirement is to create a csv file with the name testfile_date&timestamp.
    If i select add time stamp in the receiver file communication channel the file be as testfile_yyyymmdd_hhmmss_XXX.
    The XXX is message id which comes by default by selecting add timestamp option.
    but, i don't want the message id displayed in the file name.As i know from the blogs  we can reach this requirement as per Michels blog
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    I am not clear in the mapping. after writing the udf, to which filed i need to map with that udf.
    can you please tell me stel by step how how to do mapping and how to achieve the requirement. request you to send the code forthe  udf.
    Thanks
    Rahul

    Hi,
    you can wirte udf and map it to root element of the target message type. u just need to execute the udf.
    UDF:
    // UDF havs one input parameter - timestamp
    Code:
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container .getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String OldFileName  =  conf.get(key);
    String newFileName  =  "";
    if (OldFileName != null) {
        newFileName = "testfile_" +timestamp ;
        conf.put(key, newFileName);
    return  newFileName;
    Mapping:
    Date (standard function) [Formmat yyyyMMdd_hhmmss] -> UDF -> MesageType.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    open RWB - coomponent monitoring
    and then - adapter monitoring or communication channel monitoring
    (depending on SP of your XI)
    then find your channel and you will see the error - if there is any
    BTW
    if you don't want the timestamp just don't use:
    Add Time Stamp property in the file adapter

  • Excel time stamp format mismatch

    Hello all,
                                          I am writing time stamp into an excel file. Time stamp for time 2013 & 2012 appears different although format & method of writing is same in both the cases.
    In the attached file below. When time stamp is 2012 then format of time stamp in excel file & in input is same but when time stamp is 2013 then format of time stamp what i am writing actually & what appears in excel file is different.
    Dont know where exactly it is going wrong ?
    Kudos are always welcome if you got solution to some extent.

    Thats what my question is ?
    Just to be absolutely certain I understand you: when you type a date in 2013 into an Excel sheet, it displays differently than when you type a date in 2012 into the same cell in the same Excel sheet. Is that correct? If you did this with two different files, try it with a single file.
    If you see this behavior when you enter the text directly from the keyboard, why are you posting it in a LabVIEW forum? It doesn't seem to have anything to do with LabVIEW.
    Why can't you upload your Excel files that demonstrate this behavior?

  • Geotagging / GPS Metadata Time Stamp Format

    I have a photo/image taken on an iPhone. The GPS information in the Preview application (inspector menu) shows a Time Stamp of 11:10:56.63. Can anyone explain to me what the ".63" at the end of the time stamp format represents? Thank You.

    An obvious decimal point after a number has been the standard format to display tenths, hundredths and thousandths for hundreds of years. It's ridiculous that it has to be 'proven' in a court of law and can't be taken at face value for what it obviously is to any educated person. Ask 1000 high school educated people what a decimal point looks like and what it means and I'm sure you'll get 1000 correct answers. One more reason for my extreme dislike of what lawyers have done, and are doing, to our society.
