  • HT204406 iTunes Match was set up but wouldn't download any of my music. I turned iTunes Match off, deauthorised and then reauthorised, restarted iTunes. Now iTunes match won't turn on - I get the "Add this computer screen" but it says can't add for 83 day

iTunes Match was set up on my new MacBook Pro. Today, it wouldnt download any of my music, so I followed advice, switched on iTunes Match and switched it on again. When this didnt help, I deauthorized the computer, logged out of iTunes, and relogged in again. I have reauthroized the computer and reset the View/Options.
However, now I cant connect to iTunes Match or iCloud at all. The screen asking me to Add this computer comes up, when I click and enter my Mac account details I get the error message:
"You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 83 days."
However, this was the iTunes account with which I set up iTunes Match.
    Anyone got any suggestions?

  • HT4913 i am trying to get my computer and my wifes computer on my itunes match.  i did the add a computer function and it says that this computer is already associated with an apple id...if you use itunes match with your apple id etc for 90 days...please

i did the add a computer function and it says that this computer is already associated with an apple id...if you use itunes match with your apple id etc for 90 days...please explain.  is this going to screw my wifes account up?

If you both have seperate iTunes Store accounts then basically, yes, it is going "screw up" your wife's account.
iTunes Match is designed as a single-user service which is associated with one and only one iTunes Store account ID. If you have subscribed on your account and want to activate the service on another computer that is already signed in with an account the present account must be signed out and then iTunes signed into your account. This means the other computer will have complete access to your account and will only be able to make purchases on your account. iTM is not designed to be signed in and out at will. If she has apps purchased with her iTunes Store account they will not be able to be updated.

  • How do I add another computer to my account to authorize

How do I add another computer to authorize on my account list so I can use or redeem my gift cards and use my store credit?

You can authorize up to 5 computers.
To authorize you need to install iTunes on the computer to be authorized:
    Open iTunes
From Store in the menu bar, choose Authorize This Computer. (If the menu bar is not visible hit CTRL-B).
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Authorize.

  • How to add a computed field to a reports

I have a report where I would like to add a column that is the sequence of the row. It is not the rownum in the db, but I want it to be a row number for what is returned.
So, if I return 10 records, I would like a column to contain 1 through 10 to depict the row number.
I do not want to have this number in the table or view.
Is it possible to add a computed field to a report like this?
    If so, how?
    Thanks - Jim

The SQL function rownum should suffice if the report is not too complicated, as this returns the number of the row rather than the database row ie.
    select empno,ename,rownum
    from emp
add some clauses each time and you should see that each row is always numbered 1 to n.
However, if you introduce the HTMLDB column sort functionality into the report then it would appear that it is the result set that is sorted rather than a new query being issued.
    Hope this is of help.

  • Constantly Needing to re-add my computer to itunes match?

Recently, my main computer seems to be disconnecting from the itunes match service every time I close itunes and re open it.  the cloud icon gets the lightningbolt on it.
this is the computer connected to my library, which is on a network drive - always accessible.  If I click on "update itunes match" when the lightning bolt is on the cloud icon, it says "sign out of itunes and sign back in"
When I do that, the cloud icon is missing and I have to re-add my computer to itunes match.  i have done this at least 6 times - it never seems to stay connected after restarting itunes.
So frustrating!  Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm having that same problem this morning.
But before that, what fixed it for me was getting rid of ALL of my playlists. Apparently there was something in one of my playlists (smart or otherwise) that was making iTunes Match choke. It's definitely a bug in iTunes Match.
So try ditching all your playlists, and re-setting up iTunes Match, see if you still have the problem.
But like I said, I'm having the problem again, but I'm guessing it has to do with work for the iPad3 launch or something. Hopefully :-/

I do not want itunes match to  sync  or upload the little bit of purchased music i have on my itunes now..Please Help Thanks..

    Hello gogreenj14,
If you had iTunes Match updated with all of your non iTunes purchased content already, then yes, when you enable iTunes Match with the following article it will have all the content that has been uploaded to iTunes Match will be available for download.
iTunes: How to add a computer or iOS device to iTunes Match
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4913
Open the latest version of iTunes on the computer you intend to add. You can download the latest version of iTunes here.
Sign in with the Apple ID you use with iTunes Match.
Choose Store > Turn On iTunes Match.
Click the Add This Computer button.
When prompted, enter your Apple ID password.
iTunes will automatically begin scanning your computer's library for matches.
A status indicator will allow you to track progress. You may also manually pause and resume the process at any time by clicking the Stop or Start button.
Once iTunes has completed matching and uploading your iTunes library, your music in iCloud will be integrated into your local music library. A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your computer.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • How to add another Computer to my Apple TV?

I've had my apple TV for a while and really like it. If I rember correctly it used to be easy to add another computer to my Computer list on Apple TV. But for some reason I can't seem to do it anymore.
I intend to take my main home imac down for maintenance over the weekend. I run my itunes library from an external hard drive.
What I want to do is take my external drive with my itunes library and connecvt it to my macbook and run my apple TV from there while my main imac is down.
I thought that if I launched the itunes on the macbook, then enabled homesharing then my macbook would appear on my apple TV compuers list and I could just select it..
    But it doesn't!
    Any ideas?
One thng that it maybe is that my apple TV is connected to my imac via a physical eithernet.
Would it make sence to diosconnect that and go WiFi and then see if my apple TV picks up the macbook?
    Thanks for any advise!

Is the MB setup with the same home sharing ID as the iMac? It should make no difference whether you are on wifi or ethernet, in fact any issues with discovery are typically related to wifi.

  • ITunes Match info says"With iTunes Match, you can download some or all of your music directly from iCloud on a total of up to 10 devices and computers." but when I try to add a computer it tells me i have reached my maximum of 5 computers.

You have old computers authorized that you are no longer using more than likely.
    From http://www.apple.com/itunes/features/
    Authorize and Deauthorize
Purchases you make from the iTunes Store can be played on up to five computers that you authorize using your iTunes Store account name and password. To authorize or deauthorize a single computer, choose Authorize This Computer or Deauthorize This Computer from the Store menu. If all five authorizations are being used, you can deauthorize all your computers at one time by choosing View My Account from the Store menu and selecting Deauthorize All.
You can then restart the authorization process with each current device.

  • Add single computer to multiple collections listed in a file

    Good afternoon,
I am trying to figure out how to add a single computer to multiple collections based on the contents of a file. Basically, I have a frontend hta for deployments. On that hta are checkboxes for various bits of software that should be installed, for example
MS Office. When the hta is submitted, if a software checkbox is checked it writes to a text file on the server indicating it was checked. Once the deployment is completed a script is run via a status filter rule. The intent is for that script to read the file
on the server and add the computer that was just imaged to the collections identified by the checked boxes.
Obviously I am not having much luck which is why I am here looking for a bit of help.
Here is the code that I am working with..both the while and foreach version
    $file = New-Object System.IO.StreamReader -Arg $path
    while ($line = $file.ReadLine()) {
    Add-CMDeviceCollectionDirectMembershipRule -CollectionName $line -Resourceid $ClientName
    $file.close()
    foreach ($line in (Get-Content $path)) {
    Add-CMDeviceCollectionDirectMembershipRule -CollectionName $line -Resourceid $ClientName
I have found that if I manually assign a value to $line everything works as expected, but if I try to read from the file and use either a while or foreach loop it fails.
I can enter a quick write-host and see that the value of each line is being returned as I would expect it but the system just returns the following error for each one:
Add-CMDeviceCollectionDirectMembershipRule : No object corresponds to the specified parameters.
I am sure that there are better ways to do this and I am sure there are cleaner ways to code it, but I am not a Powershell guru so please be kind. ;)

"-Resourceid $ClientName" is not correct because ResourceID != Clientname. See
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj850102(v=sc.20).aspx There is no parameter that accepts the name of the client.
    Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
Thank you for the suggestion, but that is not the issue. As mentioned in the first post, if I manually assign the collection variable value it works without issue. This is to include *without* changing the $Clientname.
Previously in the script, which was not shown is the following:
    $Clientname = (Get-CMDevice -Name $Clientname).ResourceID
If I do a Write-Host $Clientname after that line of code I am returned the correct numeric value. That said, part of my troubleshooting *before* I posted here was to hardcode the numeric resource ID of the client which did not change anything unless the
value of the collection variable was manually set or the variable replaced with the collection name.
So, any ideas as to why it is not able to read and process collection names from a text file?

  • Itunes match - being told to 'add this computer' - why?

PC#1 was used to upload library to the cloud (MANY HOURS).  I then successfully synced PC #2 (Many more hours) thus Match worked as expected.  Now have added tracks to PC #1 that I want to upload to the cloud.  So I try to turn on iTunes Match (still using PC #1) and am I'm being told I have to ‘add this computer’.  However, if I go to store.view my account I can see that PC #1 is already an iCloud managed device.  Using iTunes version 10.5.1.42
    What gives?

It seems to be pretty common that iTunes will put up an "add this computer" even though the computer has already been associated with the iTunes match account.  When it's happened to me, I've just clicked through and signed in.

  • -----  iTunes Match "add this computer" button disabled -----

iTunes match "add this computer" button is disabled after I loaded iTunes onto a new Windows 7 PC.
The only option available is "subscribe for $24.99 per year" even after I sign in to the iTunes store with my apple ID.
I already have a subscription to iTunes Match.
    Please help!

You need to sign into the iTunes Store using the exact same AppleID from which you purchased the service originally.

  • Security filter against AD groups. When you add a computer, does it need to reboot to fall into scope.

This should be an easy one. I have a 2008r2 domain. When I add a computer to an AD security group, so it will get targeted from a GPO that has that same group in its security filter, does the computer need to reboot to start processing any part
of that policy?  It has always seemed that computers need a reboot to pick up their group memberships, but I wanted to double-check.
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
Normally for a computer account to become aware of the group membership change a reboot is required.
Also some group policy can be applied after a comouter reboot. So I'd suggest to reboot your compputer.
    Best Regards,
    Elaine
