Add to iPhoto not working

just had to replace my hard drive. Setting up my computer as "new" and when i try to import a photo by clicking on it i don't get the "add to iPhoto" prompt anymore .... any suggestions? Runing Mountain Lion and everything is up to date ...

Your question is not clear
Importing is normally done by connecting your camera and importing or by dragging photos to iPhoto or using the file menu ==> import command
And what version of iPhoto do you have?

Add Row Button Not Working

I've read the threads and done numerous searches. Not sure why the add row button isn't working, other buttons work.
Here's what I've found and done.
Print button subform - positioned (have tried flowed, too) allow page breaks
Table: body rows vary   -    Insert wrap in subform - subform flowed - allow page breaks
     row 1 binding - repeat row for each data item - min 1, max 25 (why won't it keep an initial count when I try putting in 1 or 0?)
Form properties - preview in dynamic PDF, interactive   -   PDF render format dynamic xml, run in 9.0 or later (to remove errors)
Insert Row Button in Subform Row 1 Cell 1 (not counting header row) on click, JavaScript run at client tried table.row1.instancemanager.addinstance(1);   also tried full path
saved as dynamic pdf
My hierarchy looks like:

I click the Add Row button, but nothing happens, why? The print button works.

Hi Leslie,
There could be a few things.
First check that the form is saved as Dynamic XML in the save as dialog. If it is saved as Static the add instance will not work.
Make sure that the object you are targetting is set to repeat in the Object > Binding tab
Check your syntax in the script editor (button above the editor). Some of your post is not camel case. For example addInstance and instanceManager. Note the capital letter for the second word.
If you could share your form it would be easier to track down what the problem is. You can use Acrobat.com or YouSendIt.com or some other file sharing site. Just remember to post the published URL.

PowerPoint add-in is not working when installed for All Users using msi installer.

I have created PowerPoint add-in using c#-vsto. I have created msi installer to install this add-in with following two options:
1. Just me
2. Everyone
However, add-in is not working properly (Events and custom task panes are not working).
I have created registry key as below
1. for "Everyone" : HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Powerpoint\Addins\MyAdd-in
2. for Just me : HKPU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Powerpoint\Addins\MyAdd-in
But when I set InstallAllUsersVisible property to False (When add-in is installed only for current user ), then add-in works fine for current user.
Please let me know if anything is missing!!!

Iphoto not working after 10.5.2

After 10.5.2 and graphic updates, iPhoto does not work any more. When I launch it, after a few seconds it quits by itself, with Console message "segmentation fault".
Tried erasing preference file, with no results; Don't know what to do

Oops. Missed that last sentence. See if you can create a new library by launching iPhoto with the Option key depressed and selecting Create new library when asked what to do. If you can't get iPhoto to create and open a new library then it's not your old library that's at fault.
You're image files are stored in the Originals folder inside the iPhoto Library package. It is located in your Pictures folder.
If you can open iPhoto with a new library then rebuilding your current library is an option. Heres' what you'll need to do. Move the temp library that you created to the trash leaving only your original iPhoto Library package in the Pictures folder. Then launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options. If that doesn't resurrect the library continue with the following:
How old is the AlbumData.xml file that you replaced in the library? Did you do any importing of photos between the time it was created and now? If not then you can keep it and try rebuilding the library with iPhoto Library Manager. It uses the information in the AlbumData.xml file to create a new library which will have the events, albums, keywords, titles and comments intact. You will lose any books, slideshows, cards, etc. Here's how to use iPLM to rebuild:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: It may take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. Report back on how long it took and how many photos you have in the library so we can give other users an idea of how long it may take.

"Add to iPhoto" not in menu

Strange issue. In Tiger (10.4.11, fully updated), when a Mail message has one or more photos attached, there's the "Save" button in the message that, when pressed, displays (among other things) "Add to iPhoto". This does exactly what it's supposed to do. However, occasionally I see some Mail messages that, even though they do contain jpeg photos, that "Add to iPhoto" menu item does NOT appear. I know how to work around this (dropping the jpegs into iPhoto's window) but the inconsistency is puzzling.

It is possible the system that sent the original photos was XP but I'll have to check that; the person who is complaining about this also gets some eMails (I think from the same person) that -do- show the "Add to iPhoto" menu item.
All the files are, indeed, downloaded because she's using Apple Mail and it's a POP account.
All the attachments are identified as ".jpeg"
I forwarded some of the photos from one "problem" eMail (where the "Add to iPhoto" didn't appear) to my eMail account and the "Add to iPhoto" -does- appear. Same photos (well, I forwarded about 12 of the 25).
Mime Type: "image/jpeg"
I'll check on the client's machine and see if they have different MIME types on her system.

Iphoto not working after time machine install

I have a first gen intel iMac and the hard drive had a sudden failure I was not overly concerned about my Data as I use time machine. I had a new Hard Drive installed and I used time machine to install back to snow leopard. all seems fine for a few days and every thing (software and hard ware (scanner)) was working fine. then I opened iPhoto to add a few new photos and all I get is the spining beach ball the library is 26 gig in size and was working fine before. I am at a loss as I still have all 9745 original photos on back up drive but not in order like in iPhoto and really don't want to recreate my library all over again. I've done disk permissions and only seem to have a problem with Java any body got any ideas?

I don't know if this is a true fix but my iPhoto 11 is now working iPhoto had an update and I did it to both my iPhoto programs (mac book and iMac) I then opened the not working librery on the laptop and it said the library need to be updated it did this and opened okay and all was working fine (I copied library on to a portable FireWire HD) when I copied it back to my iMac it said the same and went through the update and is now working fine.

Iphoto Not Working After upgrading to Yosemite

I am unable to use iPhoto after upgrading to Yosemite.
I have two apple id and when I used one of them i get the message This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled'. I am unable to use the other which might the registered Apple Id since the option to log in does not appear. What do I do?

Sign out of the App Store and then sign back in with the other Apple ID.

Iphoto not working after updating new iPhoto

iPhoto is missing part of the substructure it needs to run. You need to reinstall.
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

Acrobat XI Pro "add text comment" not working

In Acrobat, my "Add Text Comment" comment feature no longer works. I am using Acrobat XI Pro on Win7.
The property "Locked" vs Make Property Default fix on these forums did not work for me.
When I click on a document to add a text comment,
1. Acrobat creates a small square (uneditable)
2. Acrobat adds a comment to the comments list
I am unable to type any text, nor edit the box, nor change the box's size, nor see the properties.
Any thoughts are appreciated as to how to fix this feature.

Hi cpa-michael,
If this issue appears in any PDF that you try to add comments to, please repair the Acrobat installation by choosing Help > Repair Acrobat Installation.
If the issue appears only in one PDF file, that PDF may be damaged and you can try Saving As to repair the document, or you can try to "refry" the PDF by printing to PDF from within Acrobat.

Front and add-in USB not working

My onboard USB works like a charm, but my front USB and the rear add-in USB do not work. They stopped working one day, and havent worked since. The onboard works fine. I have reinstalled and reformatted and done all that, and nothing wants to bring them back.
Considering they both went out at the same time, I know it has to be a software problem, and not a hardware problem.
It might have coincided with my bios upgrade, but I'm not sure.
Using K7N415 pro, not sure what bios version, its one of the overclocking ones, but probably not the newest.
If the bios is the problem, whats the latest and greatest one that fixes my problems but still allows me to overclock?

Definitely enabled in the bios. Its not a temporary problem. Worked one day, and then just flat out stopped working. I rechecked the connections, and theyre fine. There are two USB root controllers and hubs installed in the device manager, so theyre certainly installed. But anything I plug in there just doesnt register. Doesnt even make an optical mouse light up. I am using two low power devices on my onboard USB, and they should be totally separate from the front and addon USB bracket. None of the ports work at all. Any other ideas?

Share - Burn option in IPhoto - not working like I thought it would

I have selected 67 photos in iphoto - totalling 206MB in size. I want to burn these to a CD Rom to give to a friend to use as jpegs
I select Share - Burn and insert a blank CD ROM
I get the error message "There is not enough space on the disc to burn all the photos you selected."
But the disk can take 700MB????
Then I try by exporting the same photos to a folder on my mac, and then burning these to the CDROM outside of iPhoto - and that works fine
So why does the SHARE - BURN option not work in iPhoto in this way?

The Share -> Burn option creates a "mini" iPhoto Library on the disk, including all the versions, thumbnails, databases and so on. It's designed for sharing with another iPhoto user.
If you just want to share the photos the File -> Export option is the way to go.

Safari 8 - Iphoto interface add to iphoto' not avail.

Just upgraded to Yosemite OX, running safari 8 and iphoto 9.6
There is no "add to iphoto" in the rightclick dropdown when trying to save an image on the web.
Have looked around trying to find a preference setting or something in both Sfarui and iPhoto. I'm stumped can someone please tell me how to get the iphoto option happeneing in the drop down please?

Are you right clicking on a JPEG image? I have add image to iPhoto in mine -
this is not an iphoto question but a Safari question - for help post in the OS forum for Yosimite
as a workaround download the image and then import to iPhoto

IPhoto not working as screen saver in OS X 10.9.4

I have upgraded two Macs to OS X 10.9.4 and am now no longer able to use folders from my iPhoto library as screen savers. The reboot solution another user found is not working on either of these computers. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

If I understand your problem correctly you would like to choose one of your folders (not an event) from iPhoto to be your screen saver. I had the same issue and found the solution. I am running OS X 10.9.4 and iPhoto 9.5.1 on a mbp. Go to:
•"System Preferences";
•"Desktop & Screen Saver";
•"Screen Savor";
•Choose one of the viewing options from the left panel e.g. "floating"/"flip-up"/"ken burns";
•Once you chose a viewing option a "Source:" drop down menu will appear in the right pane. (note the "source" drop down menu is not visible until you chose a viewing option;
•From the "Source" choice "photo library";
•You should now see all the pictures from your iPhoto including the folders you have made;
•Click the folder and then click the "choose" button.
