Add .txt files into .zip file

Hello friends,
Any buddy knows how to add ".txt" files into ".zip" format through the ABAP code.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Murali,
You can use the method in the class CL_ABAP_GZIP to zip your file and then download it using GUI_DOWNLOAD.
data: zip type ref to cl_abap_zip,
      result type xstring.
create object zip.
zip->add( name = some_file content = content ).
result = zip->save( ).
Also you can check this thread as well.

  • How to pass .txt file as an attachment to the web service (SOAP Attachment)

    Hi,
    I am creating web service using NetBeans 6.5 IDE and JAX-WS. I create a web application and then create web service using provided interface. I want to add .txt file as an attachment/parameter to the web service operation using "Add operation" interface. Don't want to add as an attachment to the SOAP message by creating it explicitly. IDE generates SOAP request and response automatically when the service is tested using "Test Web service" option. How can I add attcahment when I add operation so that it will appear in the generated SOAP message ?
    TIA.

    Hi AnitaDP,
    Attachment doesn't work in web service. You have to pass the content of the text file as a String or as an array of bytes to a method of your web service. From there, you may save the passed data in a file.

  • Copy contents of a txt file into a transport request

    I am implementing the steps of the 990534 note.
    The note says "Create a new transport request (transaction SE09) in the source client of your Solution Manager system. Unpack file SOLMAN40_MOPZ_TTYP_SLMO_000.zip, which is attached to this note. Copy the contents of the SOLMAN40_MOPZ_TTYP_SLMO_000.txt file into the transport request."
    can anyone tell me how can I copy the contents of a txt file into a transport request?

    Hello,
    I don't know the OSS note, but I think they mean, that you have to go into the object list of your transport (in transaction SE09), switch to change mode and insert the objects from the text file.
    I guess the text file looks like:
    R3TR PROG xyz
    R3TR TABL abc

  • How do I add a txt file to read from in the following script

    First thanks for the help, PS newbie.
    I need to add a txt file that has the Exchange aliases listed to the below file. So if the .txt file is sitting in c:\temp\readme.txt how do I incorporate into the following script. Given, I only want the outcome to read from only the txt file.
    $mailboxes = Get-Mailbox -RecipientTypeDetails UserMailbox
    ForEach ($mailbox in $mailboxes) {
      $FilePath = "\\server\folder\" + $mailbox.PrimarySmtpAddress.Local + "@" + $mailbox.PrimarySmtpAddress.Domain + ".pst"
      New-MailboxExportRequest -mailbox $mailbox -FilePath $FilePath
    Thank you for your time.
    Chris

    Thank you -
    You're welcome.
    I need to make sure that when the user from the list is exported to .pst it is named with their primary smtp address? Will the above code do so?
    No, it won't. This adjustment will take that into account:
    $aliasList = Get-Content .\aliasList.txt
    foreach ($alias in $aliasList) {
    $mbx = Get-Mailbox $alias
    $filePath = "\\server\folder\$($mbx.PrimarySmtpAddress).pst"
    New-MailboxExportRequest -Mailbox $alias -FilePath $filePath -WhatIf

  • [CS3 JS]  Reading TXT file content into String

    Hello,
    I'm currently wanting to display a dialog box that has a dropdown menu containing all countries of the world.
    I have an external txt file that contains a list of all countries.
    I thought I would simply read-in the contents of the 'txt' file into a string and use it for displaying the list.
    For example
    i Instead of the usual:
    > var myLandMenu = dropdowns.add({stringList:["A", "B"...], selectedIndex:0});
    i I thought of doing something like:
    > var myLandList = ....? HELP ?....
    > var myLandMenu = dropdowns.add({stringList:myLandList, selectedIndex:0});
    Is this the way to do it?
    What would be the way to read in the text file content as a string?
    Thanks in advance,
    Lee

    > var myLandList = ....? HELP ?....
    > var myLandMenu = dropdowns.add({stringList:myLandList, selectedIndex:0});
    It's hard to tell from context, but myLandList needs to be an array of strings.
    If the file has one element per line, this would be one way of handling the
    conversion:
    var file = File("~/countries.txt");
    file.open("r");
    var str = file.read();
    file.close();
    var myLandList = str.split(/[\r\n]+/);
    And assuming that this is ScriptUI and not the older ID UI, the menu creation
    would look more like:
    var myLandMenu = dropdowns.add(bounds, myLandList);
    myLandMenu.items[0].selected = true;

  • Import txt file into report

    I have an Arinc signal that I have decoded into each of its digital I/Os.  Since I have over 150 I/Os I needed a way to sort and do a quick report on them.
    I have three categories.
    1. Stayed =1 throughout test
    2. Stayed = 0 throughout test
    3. Changed either from 0 --> 1 or 1-->0 during the test.
    I want to just put a list of the signals for each of these categories into my report.
    I have created a txt file for these to go in, but how do I import that into my report?

    Hi 2Pale4TX,
    You can't easily reference the content of an ASCII file.  Instead, I suggest you make a new Group of 3 text channels that you can drag onto a REPORT table.
    Dim k, m, z, ResultsGroup, TrueChannel, FalseChannel, ChangeChannel, Group, Channel, Result
    Set ResultsGroup = Data.Root.ChannelGroups.Add("Results")
    Set TrueChannel = ResultsGroup.Channels.Add("ArincTrue", DataTypeString)
    Set FalseChannel = ResultsGroup.Channels.Add("ArincFalse", DataTypeString)
    Set ChangeChannel = ResultsGroup.Channels.Add("ArincChange", DataTypeString)
    For k = 2 to 4
    Set Group = Data.Root.ChannelGroups(k)
    For m = 1 to Group.Channels.Count
    Set Channel = Group.Channels(m)
    ChMax = CMax(Channel)
    ChMin = CMin(Channel)
    Result = ChMax - ChMin
    If Result = 0 and ChMax > 0 Then
    z = TrueChannel.Size + 1
    TrueChannel(z) = Channel.Name
    Elseif Result = 0 and ChMax = 0 Then
    z = FalseChannel.Size + 1
    FalseChannel(z) = Channel.Name
    Else
    z = ChangeChannel.Size + 1
    ChangeChannel(z) = Channel.Name
    End If

    Next ' k

    My problem is that Im reading a .txt-file into a J-Table. It all goes okay, the FileChooser opens and the application reads the selected file (line). But then I get a Null Pointer Exception and the JTable does not get updated with the text from the file.
    Heres my code (I kept it simple, and just want to read the text from the .txt-file to the first cell of the table.

  • Reading .txt files and put it into a TextArea

    Hi all,
    I got a problem! I have to make something like a messenger.
    I want to put the written text into a .txt file, after that I have to get the text out of the .txt file and put in into a TextArea.
    I would ike it to to that like this:
    ">User 1
    Hello!
    >User 2
    Hi!
    Now here are my questions:
    1: What is the moet easy way to do this ?
    2: How could i put Enters into a .txt file with Java ?
    3: How could i read all the text from the .txt file and put it into a TextArea WITH ENTERS ?
    Thanks for your help!
    Greetings, Jasper Kouwenberg

    use JTextArea.read(new FileReader(fileName)) for reading.
    and JTextArea.write(new FileWriter(fileName)) for writing.
    The enters should be ok if the user press enter and adds a new line ("\n") to the text area component.
    It will save the enter in the text file and load it correctly back to the text area.
    If you want to add enter programmatically just add "\n" string to the text area component.

  • Help! How to read a .txt file into a Java class and make 2D array?

    Hi guys,
    Im a newbie with arrays, just started really using them.. please bear with me if I don't seem to understand much..
    I have a .txt file that contains either a square or rectangle (random width and length).. How can I read each line into a Java class into a 2D array with rows and columns?

    Example :
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.util.ArrayList;
    import java.io.BufferedReader;
    import java.io.FileReader;
    import java.io.File;
    public class ReadInto2DArrayExample {
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            ArrayList array = new ArrayList();
            char [][] twoDimesionArray = null;
            try
                JFileChooser fileChooser = new JFileChooser();
                if (fileChooser.showOpenDialog(null) == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION)
                    File file = fileChooser.getSelectedFile();
                    BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file));
                    String data;
                    //Read from file
                    while ((data = reader.readLine()) != null)
                        //Convert data to char array and add into array
                        array.add(data.toCharArray());
                    reader.close();
                    //Creating a 2D char array base on the array size
                    twoDimesionArray = new char [array.size()][];
                    //Convert array from ArrayList to 2D array
                    for (int i = 0; i < array.size(); i++)
                        twoDimesionArray[i] = (char [])array.get(i);
                    //Test the 2D Array
                    for (int y = 0; y < twoDimesionArray.length; y++)
                        char [] temp = twoDimesionArray[y];
                        for (int x = 0; x < temp.length; x ++ )
                            System.out.print(temp[x]);
                        System.out.println("");
            catch (Exception ex)
                ex.printStackTrace();

    this is my first time to get help from sun forums
    i had java.io.NotSerializableException: java.lang.reflect.Constructor error when overwrite the JTable data into .txt file.
    At the beginning, the code will be generate successfully and the jtable will be showing out with the data that been save in the studio1.txt previously,
    but after i edit the data at the JTable, and when i trying to click the save button, the error had been showing out and i cannot succeed to save the JTable with the latest data.
    After this error, the code can't be run again and i had to copy the studio1.txt again to let the code run 1 more time.

  • How do I read txt file and add items to dropdownlist or checkbox

    I want to add items to a dropdown or check box by reading from a text file(and select one of them). (I donot use any table or database). The list of items is sometimes upto 20MB and hence cannot populate using session bean.I want items to be added to either checkbox or listbox during a button action. I have done this for textarea but unable so far to acheive for checkbox or listbox. I use following code which does not work:
    public String button3_action() {
    try{
    FileReader fr = new FileReader "F:/CreatorProjects/checkboxtst.prs");
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(fr);
    String s;
    while((s=br.readLine())!=null) {
    dropdown1.setValue(s);
    br.close();
    fr.close();
    }catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return null;
    I know I cant just transplant textarea code for dropdownlist or checkbox.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • How do I add multiple images into one file?

    I'm sure this is something that's been covered in another post (or even in the help portal) but I think my wording in my search terms are not correct or... I don't know, because I just can't find what I'm looking for.
    I want to know how to add multiple images into one file/one image, both horizontally and/or vertically. To give you an idea of what I mean, check out :
    http://www.best10apps.com/apps/comic-story,531596060.html
    If you scroll down, you'll see a heading entitled : Screenshots of Comic Story. Notice how there's 3 pictures (divided by borders). 2 of those pictures are side by side, and 1 of them is below the first 2 pictures.
    I want to know how to add different pictures/images and put them into one picture.

    One way is to create template PSD files and populate them with your images using Photoshops scripts.
    Photo Collage Toolkit UPDATED June 12, added Picture Package Support via PasteImageRoll and BatchPicturePackage scripts.
    The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts.
    There are eleven scripts in this package they provide the following functions:
    TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop.
    CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts.
    LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document.
    InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text.
    ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned.
    ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well.
    PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop.
    BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text.
    BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked.
    BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder
    PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper.
