Add webpart to Wiki page WPZ

Hi,
Is it possible to display a webpart in the hidden webpart zone of a wiki page? I have tried to add but it is not displaying, is this expected?
I would want to display a webpart at the bottom of the page.

A possible workaround for you problem is to create a wiki pagelayout and add a webpart zone in that layout where you can easily add your webpart.

I tested the issue in my environment, it works without error. From the log you posted, I cannot find any error related message.
I’d recommend you test the issue on another machine and then with another account to see if there is any difference.

i want to share my new knowledge about to view a pdf inside firefox, so the right idea is to create a new archwiki page. unfortunately i have no time to create and correct its (i'm not english), so i post here , hoping that someone can create it

if you want to use evince to open a pdf/ps or any other document supported by evince, inside firefox, and not to open a new window, this is possible and you just follow this simple instructions:
- install mozplugger (in this moment is in AUR)
- delete ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/pluginreg.dat (as mentioned after mozplugger installation)
- edit /etc/mozplugger: find the line containing "pdf" word, after "GV()" edit evince line as below:

Is there a way to add multiple categories columns to my enterprise wiki page

Hi All,
I have the following inside my SharePoint 2013;
Enterprise wiki site collection.
By default I got one category column for my enterprise wiki site.
I link the defualt wiki category (of type managed metadata) to a term store.
I am trying to achieve the following:-
I need to add additional wiki categories (of type managed metadata) and link them to different term store.
For example when a user add a new wiki page , he can select the default wiki , in addition to that he can
a customer , sub-topic, country , etc.
What I tried is :-
I went to the wiki library and from there I added a new site column of type managed meta data.
I link the new column to a second term store, and I did the same for the other wiki categories.
The problem I am facing:-
The new wiki categories were not displayed when adding /editing/viewing the wiki pages?
Can anyone advice how I can add the new wiki categories , so that users can fill them when add/editing a wiki page , also how to show them under the defualt wiki category when reading any wiki page?

Number of Chapters in iMovie is not known by me but if You aim to do a DVD then there is a problem.
iDVD has some limitations
• 99 Chapters maximum !
• 60 resp 120 minutes limit (Movie + Menu duration) on SL-DVD and about double on DL-DVDs
I would divide material onto two DVDs then I get 198 Chapters and 120 to 240 minutes on SL-DVDs
Note thar MENU can take up lot's of time - 15 minutes o even more.
I use Old Theme and "Brushed Metal" no Animation and No Audio on Menu - to keep this under one minute.

If you want to add webpart on any page without code then
1)go to page in c#and open its element.xmland add the code shown in diagram.mention webpart order and zone name etc.
Now the question is what to be added inside cdata tag?
so that webpart will get attached with that page?

Go to webpart in visual studio
find webpartname.webpart file
copy the code code inside
<webParts></webParts> tag inside that <![CDATA[ ]]> tag of element.xml file.
Then you can see that webpart is attached with page.
mention proper webpart zone and zone order.
Try to mentain all webpart projects in one solution.
In this way you can avoid webparts programatically added into page and solution will get less complex

Creating a new library for Webpart pages, or wiki pages

We are using sp2013 in O365, on a site collection that is using the publishing feature.
We want to create another library for content pages where we can create either Webpart pages or Enterprise Wiki pages. I can create a new library and add the appropriate content types so that those types of pages are options when creating a new page.
But when I open the library and try to create a page based on the "(Enterprise Wiki Page) Basic Page" page layout (or any other page layout content type that I added to that library), the dialog comes up and shows it will save to the "/pages/"
library (it is shown in the un-editable part of the "URL Name field"), and not in the new library where I initiated the creation request. When I click save, I get a correlation ID error.
Am I doing something wrong here?

I could reproduce this issue in my SharePoint 2013 Online when I created a new document library and add “Enterprise Wiki Page” content type into the library then create a page using this content type.
It seems that publishing pages only can be created in the Pages library. And the SharePoint Publishing Infrastructure can only handle a single Pages library per Web site, it's a physical limitation of the software. If you want to create
multiple Pages libraries, You could create sub webs to do it.
Also, as there is a Correlation ID about this issue, you can use it to check more information about this issue. However, in SharePoint Online, we could not see the log files, they are controlled by Microsoft. I suggest you create a new thread on Office
365, there are some backend engineers who can check the log. You will get better help with SharePoint Online.

How do I add multiple audio webparts to a page in SharePoint 2013?

I need to add multiple media player webparts with audio files to a page in SharePoint 2013 so users can click the play button, listen to the file, then vote for the audio they like best. The problem is I can only get one audio to play at a time, and only
in certain browsers. I can get them to work intermittently in a Chrome browser, but not IE 10. When I publish the page and click the play arrow, it played the first time. Then I added two more audio player webparts to the page, and linked them to different
audio files (m4a and mpg). Now only one audio player will work, not the other 2.

How do i add photos from an iPad to a Wiki Server wiki page?
When i click edit in a wiki page the menu at the top is different than the desktop version and there a no attachment buttons, no image buttons or video.
I tried copy pasting from photos but it just says Loading and the image does not appear in the text.

The transfer of photos from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to the iPad. The iPad is not designed or intended to be a backup storage device. Photos transferred from your computer are optimized for viewing on your iPad - the resolution of most or all of these photos is reduced on your iPad, which is why transferring these photos in the opposite direction is not supported.
There are some 3Rd party paid utilities that provide for transferring these photos in the opposite direction, but such utilities are not supported by Apple and the original resolution of the photos will be lost. Here is one such utility that is Mac compatible.

Note board is helpful to add comment box in page layout. Edit your page in designer and add this WP next to the <PublishingWebControls:RichHtmlField

For second task, you can utilize the web analytic feature but this will be applicable to whole site, not single page. So you may create a custom page and use code to generate report for single page.

How to add a reference to a custom stylesheet from a Team Site wiki page

We have a Team Site (no publishing feature enabled). We have several wiki pages where we inserted custom html content via "edit source". This custom content has some divs defined in it to which we want to apply some styling. We
have styles.css saved in Style Library. How do I reference this style.css from the wiki page? I don't want to put the style definition on the wiki page itself since the same style will be shared by multiple pages.

There are a variety of customization options available for BEA Workshop. Through metadata you can define renderings for custom tags, tag appearance in the tag libraries view, customize the tag editors, and much more.

SP2013 Teamsites: Rebuilding webpart pages as wiki pages via PowerShell

Afternoon all,
Hopefully someone can give me a hand with this one. Here's my scenario; -
SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint Online Migration. I'm looking specifically at team sites (non-Publishing sites) in particular. Our SP2007 team sites all have web part pages (default.aspx). In SPO, these default to Wiki Pages.
Our migration tool of choice (Metalogix Content Matrix) is having some problems converting from Sp2007 Web Part Pages to SPO Wiki Pages. I'm finding that it's creating the wiki page but closing all the web parts within it. This one step has now
led to me and my team having to rebuild these manually.
Therefore, what I'm wondering is whether it's possible to populate wiki pages with web parts via the SPO PowerShell toolset?
Hope that's clear, but please let me know if there's anything that needs clarifying.

Rendering Error when using more than one DataSheetView on a Enterprise Wiki-Page

how to reproduce:
Add two Custom Lists with some Fields (Add Lookup-Columns to both Lists).
Add a DataSheetView to each List and mark it as Default-View
Create a Enterprise Wiki-Page
Add a WebPart (Custom-List-1)
You will see the Content from List 1 as DataSheet-View (because it is the Default-View)
Add another WebPart below the previous added WebPart (Custom-List-2)
You will see the Content from List 2 as DataSheet-View (because it is the Default-View)
Notice that the First DataSheet has faulty Rendering. The Lookup-Columns having more than one 'Arror-Down' Image and it is even on the left. If you click into different Column, different row you get the same.
I can reproduce this behaviour anytime.
Environment: SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, IE10
If you use Development-Tools to identify first datarow of first DataSheet you can see that it has to do something with the related <Input>-Tags:

Please have a look into it. Current Workaround for me is to have a Default-ListView in first WebPart. But then Customer has to click the Edit-Button to Change the Item in the releated EditForm. This is a Show-Stopper here!

According to your description, the lookup column would render incorrectly when adding more than one datasheet view in the Enterprise Wiki page.
I tested the same scenario per your post, and I got the same results as you got.
We will help to submit the issue to proper pipeline for you.

if you mean New item in Visual Studio, then check it under general Web category. User controls are basic ASP.Net functionalities, not Sharepoint-specific. If it is not there, you may use the following trick:
1. Create new project in other VS instance using "ASP.Net Empty Web Application" template
2. Add new user control there (in this project type it should exist for sure under Web category. Called "Web User Control")
3. Copy all user control's files to the folder of your Sharepoint project (ascx, ascx.cs, ascx.designer.cs)
4. In VS instance with Sharepoint project add existing items: all copied user control files. They should be grouped under ascx file automatically after that
