Bind webpart with sharepoint page without code

Hi
If you want to add webpart on any page without code then
1)go to page in c#and open its element.xmland add the code shown in diagram.mention webpart order and zone name etc.
Now the question is what to be added inside cdata tag?
so that webpart will get attached with that page?

Go to webpart in visual studio
find webpartname.webpart file
copy the code code inside
<webParts></webParts> tag inside that <![CDATA[ ]]> tag of element.xml file.
Then you can see that webpart is attached with page.
mention proper webpart zone and zone order.
Try to mentain all webpart projects in one solution.
In this way you can avoid webparts programatically added into page and solution will get less complex

The XHTML file contains of several blocks - bind, model, submission, instance etc - and I do not actually know, where to insert such lines (with message)...I think I should make some bindings with the page loading, but I've got no idea how to get it done, however there are very few sites with such stuff on the internet. Thank you very much. I am new to this, and but am not exactly sure how to run a script. Can it be run as a one-off using the editor or console like AppleScript and hitting the green arrow, or do I need to put this into a file and save it to the scripts folder first?
Also, a related question: some of my scans are full page Letter already and I need to reduce them (scale them) so that they print with a margin because the pages need to be hole punched.
Can you help me incorporate into this code something that says, if the trim box > 8 x 10 then scale the page by x percent or by whatever allowable means Acrobat will do it? This way, those pages will be permanently scaled smaller. I cannot just print them scaled smaller, because then all the scans will be printed smaller, and I only need the largest ones reduced in size.

Create a Webpart with Sharepoint Designer to see and upload documents in document set

Hello,
In a document set, we see documents in this document set and we can upload files and documents only in this document set.
Can i save this view to other sites in webPart ?
I tried to use sharepoint designer saving the dataview in a file and then import this file in other site but the result is that webpart show me the root of the library, not the document set and same for file uploads, it show me the file upload window for
the root of the library.

Yes, i linked source site collection from SPD; I don't want to send but i want to display document set in another site.
Finaly, i found a solution but i don't know if its the best practice :
i have all my libraries in the top site to have all important documents in one site.
So i want to display a library/folder/document set in webParts to my subsites.
To do this, i create a dataview in SPD; i save this dataview in a file and import this file as webPart in my subsites.
my problem : It display the root of my library instead of within the document set. AND when i clic on "upload a document", it display the root of my library upload form instead of the document set upload form
my solution : i create a dataview in SPD; i copy/past the document set upload form link in this dataview; I save this dataview in a file and import this file as webPart in my subsite; from the webpart of my subsite, i create a view to my document set.
... should i do it for all my views ? or is there another solution ?

Why does my ipad2 flip pages without touching screen?

My ipad2 has issues with turning pages without touching the screen. Sometimes it happens in iBooks. It does not do it all the time. I did a reset and sold it to a friend. The iPad started crashing and acting crazy shortly after he did his transfer. What could be the problem?

As a workaround, we can use jQuery to hide or remove other posts.

You can also connect the Facebook to find whether it provide a api to achieve your requirement or not.

How do I add multiple audio webparts to a page in SharePoint 2013?

I need to add multiple media player webparts with audio files to a page in SharePoint 2013 so users can click the play button, listen to the file, then vote for the audio they like best. The problem is I can only get one audio to play at a time, and only
in certain browsers. I can get them to work intermittently in a Chrome browser, but not IE 10. When I publish the page and click the play arrow, it played the first time. Then I added two more audio player webparts to the page, and linked them to different
audio files (m4a and mpg). Now only one audio player will work, not the other 2.

Citrix Netscaler AppXpert with Sharepoint 2010 Page Edit Issue

Posting this as a questions and discussion point.
The issue is in using Citrix Netscaler with AppXpert with SharePoint 2010. I've seen this issue for two customers.
Configurations:
- Citrix Netscaler as the load Balancer
- Netscaler AppXpert for SharePoint deployed on Netscaler (using either AppXpert version 1.1 or 2.0)
- SharePoint 2010 Standard or Enterprise editions
Issue:
A SharePoint user with appropriate rights go to a SharePoint page. They choose Edit page, make changes and want to save changes. At this point all SharePoint ribbon options on the top are greyed out. End result, users are not able to make changes to their
site pages. Issue happens for everyone including Farm Admins.
Cases:
a. The users are able to edit and save SharePoint wiki pages if I point user's PC to the SharePoint web server WFE by changing their local host file.
b. On Citrix Netscaler, if I use the traditional load balancing i.e. without Citrix AppXpert, then the users are able to edit and save the pages. That is an option if the customer is using SharePoint 2010 Standard. That is not an option if a customer is
using InfoPath forms. InfoPath is a feature of SharePoint 2010 Enterprise edition. Citrix AppXpert for SharePoint is needed to make the InfoPath work. Else the users get session errors when they use InfoPath Web forms.
c. The issue happens on almost all combination of OS and browser. XP, vista, Win 7, Win8, Win8.1, IE8, 9, 10, 11 and other browsers like chrome etc as well.
Please share your ideas and suggestions.

'Unallowed tags or dynamic code' error on a page without these...

Hi,
I've been using InContext Editing for a few sites now and my clients have been very happy with it, but I have a new site that's having problems on just one page.

I've enabled ICE on the text areas below the main photo and nav bar, as I have on other pages. There are a few scripts running on this page, but the only difference on this page from the rest of the site is the rotating image at the top of the page.
Ironically, I've used this same script on previous sites where I've used ICE and they've worked without any problems. Am I missing something?

I can login, and try to edit, but the system won't save my changes and gives me the 'unallowed tags or dynamic code' error as the reason why it can't save the changes.
I tried removing the jquery in the header, but that didn't seem to work:

I still can't get the edits to save and it's still giving me the same message.
The only other non-static elements on the page are the newsletter subscription script and the Facebook link, but I have these on other pages and we can edit those pages without issue.
Any other ideas?

I have to create aspx page programatically and add it to the site pages library of team site.
Requirements for this page are
1) Page should not use masterpage
2) Add a visual web part to this page
3) on feature activation add this page with webpart should be added to site and set this page as welcom page
We are using TeamSite template in our project

is the visual webpart a custom webpart which is created by yourself or is it a standard webpart such as content editor?
Not to use the masterpage is quite difficult because the masterpage is necessary for several things. As far as I know there is no way to create a page without a masterpage. As a workaround I would recommend to try the "isDlg=1" parameter in the
url. This flag hides most of the elements in the masterpage. As an example it is used by the modal dialog framework. Every page which pops up as a modal dialog (such as the forms of lists and libraries) is a ordinary page (including the masterpage) but it
has the flag in its url. So only the actual content of the page is displayed while the elements of the masterpage are hidden.
Try to set the welcome page like this: http://[webUrl]/SitePages/YourCustomPage.aspx?isDlg=1

Webpart Install - Very Disappointed with Sharepoint 2013

I have tried various ways to install various webparts with no success:
Using STSADM Solution Deployment - which is also being deprecated in Sharepoint 2013
Also tried Powershell
Central Administration Interface - deploying solution from there
Sharepoint Interface (uploading solution and then Webpart)
All of these methods stop at the deployment stage. I see a message that the Webpart has been added but Install-SPFeature doesn't work and the Webpart is not visible in 'Site Collection Features' to activate.
I receive an error when trying to run the 'Install-SPFeature' command: "the feature is not a farm level feature"
Then I opened VisualStudio to modify the Webpart to Farm Level scope (ridiculous!) and finally when I try to deploy and
STILL does not work!!!
I have 2 books from Microsoft on Sharepoint Administration - these do not help at all. This is terrible and I don't know how Microsoft is still the standard enterprise solution for content management systems.
Can anyone please help on this issue?

Yes, I attempted to deploy the webpart using Visual Studio. It turns out the issue was related to having 2 servers related to one farm. Adding an alias that both servers point to helped solve this. I was able to deploy the webparts (Nivo Slider and MultiTab)

Print or Save as PDF a SharePoint Page with Reports

I have a SharePoint Page (.aspx) on which I have few tables and a chart web part within a web part zone.
I want to generate a PDF with all the data from tables with formatting and with generated report in chart web part.
We have SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Edition and using browser Internet Explorer 8.
Is there any way that we can achieve this using Client Side Scripting like JavaScript, ECMAScript as we don't have an control over server.
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

I can't offer any help with developing a solution with client-side code, but how about using a PDF printer like CutePDF Writer (disclosure: I have no relation to the makers of this
product, it's simply an application I have used for a number of years to my satisfaction and there are many other products that will do the same thing).
Print the page and select the PDF printer and select an output PDF file. This can work if you have administrative control on the machines that are generating the reports.

SharePoint 2013 witing code to work with a custom list

I am asking this question since I am new to working with SharePoint 2013, but I have programming experience working with C#.net and VB.NET.
I have a workflow 2013 that is accessed by a custom list (and updated by Infopath 2013). Once a user has submitted the custom list to the workflow 2013, there will be the 'proper' authorized person in the company that will approve or reject the request.
Once the user has submitted the request, I do not want them to be able to update the list any more. I want the user to only have 'view' access.
In workflow 2010, I see that there is the impersonate step that would change the permisisons for me. However I would prefer not to use an older version of the workflow.
Thus can you show me and/or point me to links that will do the following:
1. What .net code could I use that will change the permissions on the custom list I mentioned above. The code can be in either C#.net or VB.net?
2. If I am able to use the .net code, would you show me how to 'wire together' the .net code with the 2013 workflow? I do know that I would use Visual Studio.net 2012 to write the code. Would you explain, draw a picture, and/or point me to a url that will explain
to me where to place the .net code so it is connected to the workflow 2013?

I am going have a large volume of users (about 300 to 500) from my company creating these requests. So you are saying that I should create a subfolder of each request.
Thus I have the following additional questions:
1. If I move the requests to subfolders, how will the users be able to able to find their requests when placed into a different subfolder? I have views setup for the users, would I adjust the view for each user? Can you show me in workflow how to move

What code to navigate from page without opening a new page?

Hello, I have a flash button embedded into a css/HTML page that I want to use to navigate into a new page without opening a new window. Here's the code I'm using in the SWF which I got from the adobe tv tutorial:

The flash button is the "about Ian" button on the upper left. I want the navigation to be like the traditional rollovers on the page. (I'm working my way up to having the embedded flash button fade into place, that's why I'm using flash.)

If you look up the navigate ToURL function in the help documents it lists all of the window options available. For your case you can use:
