Added 2nd, Quadro 4000 Card, Now Getting 5700::0 Error

I have been using one Quadro card for a week or so now and just added a second one in my Mac Pro (
MacPro5,1, 32 GB RAM, OS 10.7.4). I now have two Quadros and no other PCIe cards. Now I am getting the "5700::0" error left and right. Any After Effects preferences settings I can try tweaking? Any system settings I can tweak for my cards?

GeForce GTX 285 - Cost: $249 PCI Express 2.0 CUDA cores:240 Low price concerns me, old card, pretty hard to find, only works on older Mac Pros (08,09)
Quadro CX - Cost $2000 CUDA cores:192 Too expensive
Quadro FX 4800 ("Previous generation" according to Nvidia) CUDA cores:192Discontinued
Quadro 4000 for Mac ("High end" and "new" according to Nvidia) 256 Cuda cores (This was recommended in Lynda.com training video)
This is sort omy only option as a Mac user.

I just installed cs5.5 keeping cs5.0.3 also installed. When I open premiere cs5.5 the mercury playback switch in the project settings dialog box is grayed out. It is set on software playback and can't be changed. I then uninstalled CS5.0.3, rebooted, opened premiere cs5.5. It (cs5.5) still doesn't recognize my quadro 4000 card. I am running windows 7. I have solved the problem. I had CS5 production suite on this pc for about a
year. I upgraded to CS5.5 about a week ago. I read your post about having
both versions installed on the same pc with out problems so I installed
CS5.5 along side of CS5. Both versions worked fine but CS5.5 didn't
recognize my quadro 4000 card. Having 30 years of experience with computers,
I decided to delete my quadro 4000 driver (267.79) and then install it
again. That solved the problem. Hope this helps you. Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "booted" from it.
If the Mac OS is installed on the external drive, then it's possible to start up from it, just as you do from your internal drive. Please open the Startup Disk preference pane in System Preferences, and verify that your internal drive is selected as the startup disk.
Assuming that's the case, then it may be that your TM settings have been corrupted. Turn off TM, then move or delete the file /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine.plist. Turn TM back on, recreate your settings, and try again.

I was able to fix it. In Filebrowser-view I had a coverflow-preview mode on. Changing it to list-mode problems are gone!

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?

Just installed Quadro 4000 Mac, now Premiere crashes when I try to open existing project

I just replaced the stock ATI card with a PNY Quadro 4000 for Mac.
Via CUDA Preferences, have updated CUDA driver to 4.0.50
GPU driver is 1.6.37.0 (256.02.25f01)
When I try to open any existing Premiere project, Premiere crashes.
This happens whether I'm running the OS X 32-bit kernel or the 64-bit kernel.
If I launch Premiere and create a new project, Premiere seems to run OK. (I haven't yet tried adding any content or working with the content.)
As you can imagine, the only reason I shelled out for the CUDA-capable card was to take advantage of the hardware acceleration in Mercury. So ... not a very satisfying "upgrade" so far.
Any clues?

There are four sequences in all. Two are super-simple, with only one clip in each. A third has only a single clip plus four titles. The main sequence has multiple clips, two stills and three titles plus one extra audio track.
When the crash occurs, there's no error dialog box. What I see is this:
After I double-click the project file -- or open Premiere and choose the project from the splash screen -- the "loading" progress bar appears and seems to complete loading.
Premiere starts to draw the window for its workspace. It creates a solid white rectangle, the wristwatch "wait" icon appears briefly, then Premiere crashes.
The log captured by the Apple and Adobe crash reporters shows (among much else):

Had 44.82 in my iTunes balance, added a $50 iTunes card, now only $50 remains

Currently using a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.6.8 and an iPad with iOS 7.02.
Checked my balance on the Mac and it was at 44.82.
I added a $50 gift card with the iPad but only $50 remained in the balance.
I have signed in and out of iTunes, shown all purchase history, checked the balance from both devices, and even bought a TV episode for 1.99 to see if the balance would update but to no avail. Please advise how I can get my remaining balance back.

27" cinema display/Quadro 4000 card

The new 27" cinema display interfaces with the computer via a male MiniDisplay connector cable. The new nVidia Quadro 4000 (which Apple sells) only has a DVI female out port, so I need a female MiniDisplay to male DVI adapter. Plenty of options for the opposite configuration (i.e., male Mini to female DVI) but can't find any of what I need. Anyone know of any supplier?

I'm thinking about using a similar setup. My plan was to use a mini displayport female to display port male since the Quadro 4000 also has that as an output. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Files deleted using RSC Explorer - now getting "invalid path" error msgs

Yesterday I deleted about 10 images from RSC because (1) they were no longer used in the help project and (2) RH had not deleted them from source control itself. Note: I did not just hide these files - I deleted them.
Today when I try to "get" the whole project, I get error messages for each of those files. Caption: RoboSource Error. Message: "Error - path '[path & filename]' is invalid."
Since these files are in various subdirectories of the project, and RSC refuses to continue getting the rest of the files after it encounters this type of problem, this means I now have to "get" the project directory by directory. Grr.
Ok, so RSC did not like me deleting the files from RSC Explorer. So how do I fix this problem? I tried adding the files back into RSC, but I get a different error message: "Error - node '[path & filename]' already exists." (Um, which is it -- is the path invalid, as claimed by the first error message, or does it already exist, as claimed by the second one?)
I don't know what else to try.
The other (less urgent) question is, if I can't delete old images from RSC Explorer, and RH doesn't see to it that unused images are deleted from source control, then how do I get unused images out of source control?
Any help would be appreciated -- especially quick help! :-)

I don't remember now how I solved this problem (it was back in April I posted it), but it was probably by editing the root.fpj file.

Got a new Mac that has Yosemite and am now getting an internal error message

I went from OS X Mavericks on my old MacBook Pro to Yosemite on my new MacBook Pro - and now Presenter Express 10 is not working. I see myself on camera and start recording but when I try to play back I get an "internal error" message. Someone else posted on 2/15 they were getting this message but it doesn't seem like it's the same issue - ? I don't even get a chance to select different views - just the yellow shows up before the error message.
The resolution is on the default of 1440 x 900, which is what Presenter's Help page says it should be at.
I have Presenter Express installed and am not using it via a subscription. I did encounter problems with Photoshop with Yosemite and had to install Java 6 plus completely uninstall and reinstall Photoshop to make it work. Am wondering if I need to uninstall and reinstall Presenter Express?
****EDIT*** If I DO have to uninstall and reinstall - I just went to my account page and although all my software purchases and serial numbers are listed I can't click to download anything. I don't see a page where I can do this for Presenter Express (although there is one for other apps). All I can find is a purchase page with the free trial option.

Thank you for your response Rajeev, yet I have a few concerns about it.
As I said, my screen resolution is what the Presenter Help page says it should be for a MacBook Pro: 1440x900.
1. In addition to the Photoshop problem I had when everything was migrated from my old MacBook Pro running Mavericks to my new one running Yosemite, I also had a problem with Dreamweaver and what was a permissions problem. Is that what is going on here with Presenter 10? Adobe techs refused to talk to me since my versions of both programs were a couple years old.
So I called Apple, as it was clear it was a permissions issue that would not allow me to open up my Dreamweaver files.
To address the permissions problem with Dreamweaver, Apple had me create a new user account with admin rights, and in doing so (although the tech PROMISED it wouldn't happen even though I voiced my concerns about it) ALL my stored passwords were wiped out. They ended up having to give me a big Apple store purchase credit because it took me hours to add all my passwords back in manually - and some I didn't have written down. If I create another new one, I bet the same thing is going to happen.
2. The permissions problem in Dreamweaver was solved by creating a new user account with admin rights. I did not have to do a clean re-install. However, the Photoshop problem required the Java 6 Runtime download from Apple, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop. Since I have been in the process of moving and my Creative Suite discs were in a box, I first tried downloading it from Adobe. But when I opened it up and clicked on the install icon, an error message came up that said Apple will not allow downloads to be installed unless they are purchased from the Apple store, or are an from an "approved vendor" (or something like that). I was like, WHAT???? But fortunately I found the box my software was in and reinstalled Photoshop from it.
Naturally my concern is if I download Presenter 10 again (I do not have it on disc) I will get the same Apple error message. I had massive problems with the previous version of Presenter and Adobe techs spent hours and hours with me trying to fix the problem - and actually made some things worse. I finally requested a free copy of Presenter 10 Student edition (I am a full time student) as compensation for all my time, and that is the version I have and is registered with Adobe.

Deleted podcasts, now getting constant sync errors

Apparently I deleted a podcast (maybe unsubscribed?) a while back and now everytime I sync my iPod, I get the error +"Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "...", were not copied to the iPod "..." because they could not be found."+
I understand what is happening, but there is nothing for me to delete in iTunes to tell it everything is ok. I thought maybe if I just downloaded those files again then it would find them and I could try deleting again... BUT those particular podcasts are not available any more! I even tried faking it out by making bogus mp3 files with the names it was looking for in the correct iTunes Library folders, but it still didnt work. Im at a loss here.

I'm having the exact same problems. Those missing podcasts are not in my main podcast list. But the strange thing is, in my "0 stars" smart playlist, those missing, unsync-able podcasts do show up. I can't delete them there in that smart playlist, though. And I can't find them in Windows. It's like they're phantom podcasts that won't disappear, but aren't actually there to sync, and they're not physically on the hard drive anywhere. Itunes just thinks they're still around for some reason...

Tried to restore my ipone 3g and am now getting an unknown error -9808 when it trys to reload all my info and the phone won't re sync?

Hey, I've also tried all of those things and none of them worked for me as well. I called apple tech support (i'm still under warranty) and they sent me an e-mail fixing it and that was all they told me to do and none of it worked. I think it's complete BS considering how much these computers cost. If you find a solution to this please let me know I've been trying to fix this problem for a while now. Thanks!
