Added vlan not working

I am still using a 6509. I am trying to add a new vlan, but I can't even ping the router ip on that vlan from the router. I have configured it the same as my other vlans that work just fine. I am wondering if I have crossed some limit. I have my vlans setup as 1,100,200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900. Up not vlan 800 works just fine. VLAN 900 doesn't. I can't figure out what the problem is. Below is my vlan configuration. Anything you see wrong?

I assume 'show vlan' displays vlan 900? i.e. you issued command 'vlan 900' on the 6509? with the 6509 owning the gateway for vlan 900 it will need vlan 900 in the vlan db. If you have an access port in vlan 900 on the 6509 - maybe put portfast on the port for testing - it should come up. Maybe add it to a trunk to a downstream switch as well..?

Vlans not working??

hi,
we have created 2 vlans on my core switch 4507 .this switch is connected to my other 5505 switch under vlan1 .both of mine switches are under same vtp domain with 4507 as server . the vlans are propogated to both switches.
i have connected nodes with vlan 1 and they are working fine.but if i try to connect under vlan 2 they donot connect .even though vlan 2 is up.
my question is why not any user for vlan2 is working ?
is it necessary to configure any port for the vlan2 to make it up??if yes then whats the use of vtp domains??

I was not very clear with your question but just want to check do you have any trunk between your 4507 and cat5k swictes. You many a times have mentioned under vlan 1 what excatly you mean by that.
VTP is just to propogate the vlans between the servers and the clinet and it is not at all to make the vlans active.
You need to have trunk port on switches allowing the vlans to bring those vlans up or you need to connect some workstation to that vlan to bring it up or else it will not come up and will not work.

Multiple DHCP on Multiple VLAN not working

In my core network switch, I have multiple VLANs, I have these command to assign to DHCP pools. I configured a port on my core switch for DMZ_VLAN and when I connect my computer to this port, I can get the ip address from the dmz_vlan dhcp pool. Because I assigned an IP address to the interface of vlan 192, then I found that one of my server "192.168.0.100" connection dropped, I cannot ping this server on the dmz VLAN, and it cannot provide the http service as usual until I remove the "interface vlan 192" from the switch. Why? However; without this command, I cannot receive the 192.168.0.0 network IP from the pool.

Sorry for the delay as I got busy with work. If your layer 3 switch is the default gateway for VLAN 192 then the default-router for the DHCP scope should be the IP address of the layer 3 switch interface (192.168.0.254). With that being said, the FW DMZ_192 interface, the switch SVI for VLAN 192 and the DMZ server should all be in the same broadcast domain, thus they should be able to reach each other.
So, can you confirm with me exactly what does not work on the server configured with VLAN 192 and a static IP? For instance,
1. Can you ping the server from the L3 switch
2. Can you ping the server from the FW
3. Can the server ping 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.254
4. Can the server ping the outside world? For instance, www.google.com and 4.2.2.2
5. Have you tried taking a test PC, connecting to the switchport configured for VLAN 192 and see if you get an IP address from the DHCP scope

I see that you have upgraded your memory without success on your desktop computer, and I would be happy to guide you towards a resolution! To begin, I will need to ask you a few questions:
What is the Product and Model Number of your desktop computer?
What version of Windows do you have installed on your computer?
What is the name of the original RAM installed in your desktop?
When you installed this new hardware, did you ground yourself before installing it?
If you need to, you can refer to this document on Upgrading Memory (RAM) for further inquiries on memory use, limitations and installation recommendations.

WLC, FlexConnect, ISE: Dynamic VLAN not working

Not sure if this is a WLC or ISE problem, but since I am unsure of the WLC config I will try here first.
Equipment:
WiSM2 7.2.111.3
ISE 1.1.1.268
AP 3502 in FlexConnect
What I want to achive:
One SSID, multiple VLAN
Devices gets profiled in ISE and based on type of device it gets asigned to a VLAN
Problem:
When the device connects the first time it ends up in native VLAN and not switched to the right VLAN, but when I reconnect then it is added to the right VLAN.
WLC config (I know you like images so here you go ):
I must be missing something but I can't figure out what. I will be attaching a debug aaa event enable for when the client connect the first time.
In ISE I have an Authorization Profile that just say VLAN ID/Tag 158 (the VLAN that the device should go to) an it is added to the Authorization rule of the profiled device. CoA is set to Reauth.
When the client connects I get three events in ISE:
1.
Authentication failed :

The bugtoolkit description is horrible.... From what I recall when I ran into it, I believe that Flex connect is having a problem with Mac filtering based AAA override on open wlans (and/or CWA based). In general, AAA override works fine when it is from like an eap authentication.
We had to use a 7.3 ES to resolve it.....
Looks like it is implemented in 7.4 though..... If you dont want to join the 7.4 bandwagon quite yet, you might could ask TAC for an ES of 7.3, don't think they have a 7.2 build.

Added Font Not Working

Hi, I am new here. I just purchased a font (Boycot) and added it to my "fonts" folder. It works great in MS Word, but doesn't seem to work in Photoshop. I have CS2 and I'm using a PC. When I select the text tool and then the "Boycot" font, I see only blank spaces (if that) and then I get an error message. The two messeges are: "Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialised." or "Could not complete your request because of a program error." Other font's work fine and as I said... the "Boycot" font works in other programs like MS Word.

Adding credit not working

It's weird that it shows that the subscription did not complete since I used it (and got charged) for two months before the problems started.
I did purchase a new subscription today and so far it works, but I tried adding another credit card just to check and it gave me the same error as last time:
"invalid card, please check card details". I noticed there's no field to write down the card's security number, so maybe that's the problem.
Can you check it for me? I also can't delete my previous credit card information (i.e. the one that stopped working and led to this cancellation).
My main concern right now is the cancelling fee, I can't check if I got charged and it doesn't feel right to pay for a system's mistake. I'm mistrusting Creative Cloud right now and a bit afraid of this happening again next month.

Dunning Wizard - Adding customers not working

Hi all,
We're trying to run the dunning wizard, but are unable to add customers in step three. There are no error messages. The BP Properties dialogue box appears when the 'Add' button is clicked, we can select customers , but when 'OK' is clicked, no customers appear in the list. If we click 'Next', it says 'no customers were selected' in the system messages. I have attempted this user the manager account, and another colleague has tried it with the same results and he has superuser.

You need to check every customer profile to see whether Dunning Term field in Business Partner Master Data >> Payment Term Tab is defined or not. Make sure assign with dunning term.
Your problem will be solved.

Adding Access Not Working

I was just shown a forecast form in which data for certain months is read-only while for certain months it is writeable. To test something, I was asked to modify a read only value. I added granted my user group write access to all members on the form. However, I still can't seem to edit those read only values, probably because they are actuals.
I know this is a stupid request and most likely folks will ask me "why do you want to change the actuals???" but long story - we are testing something in dev. Pls advise as to what is the best way to modify read-only actuals. Actually, I am having trouble figuring out why the cells are read-only even after I granted my user group write access to all members on the form.

Hi,
Select Administration->Manage->Dimensions.
Go To Scenario dimension
Select the forecast in question and click on edit.
Change the range of the forecast i.e. the start month/year to accommodate your requirement.
Eg:- If you are editing Forecast(3+9) and you want to edit data in 2nd month then, change the start period for this forecast from P4 to P2, refresh outline and do the required changes in the data as per your requirement.
Remember to revert the changes so that you can again lock P2 and P3 for data entry for your client.
Alternatively you can lock and send the required data through excel Add-In.
Also the cells would be read only even if you give write access to the user because when we select the start period, the preceding periods becomes read only even if you have write access to that scenario member.

All added Widgets not working

Hi there,
changed System from Panther to Tiger and love the Dashboard feature. All default widgets work fine (except the language code problem with the translator).
BUT all widgets I tried to add - be it Earth, YouTube, FishTank, or a Timer widget don't work.
Internet works fine, links on the "backside" of the widgets open the right browserwindow, but the function itself doesn't do anything. Fishtank for example shows an image with fish, but with a questionmark in the middle - nothing moving.
Can anyone please give me a hint?
I already tried changing the DNS server numbers and turning off the firewall, but it didn't help.

Hi Vani, just getting back to this since I normally have Dashboard disabled, I'm on Dial-up too, so might take awhile to really find an answer.
Could it be a Firewall issue? Any Router involved? Are you running or installing from an Admin Account? Repaired Permissions lately?
Might open Console in Utilities and observe for clues as you start one that doesn't work.
Whew, got it, it works fine here, but did notice that it wanted to connect on Port 8000 once I clicked on Music...

I just upgraded to the latest version of iTunes and it duplicated virtually every track in my music library. I need a quick way to delete the duplicates. Sorting by "Date Added" will not help because they are all listed as added on 12/12/2011.

I have cat 6500 with SUP32-GE-3B/MSFC2A/PFC3B, s3223-adventerprisek9-mz.122-33.SXJ6.bin,
and WS-X6148-GE-TX module.
And I have a couple of 3750G.
On all of 3750G there is a broadcast filtering of VLAN 4000, and it's working:
mac access-list extended badhosts
permit any host ffff.ffff.ffff
vlan access-map dropbad 10
action drop
match mac address badhosts
vlan access-map dropbad 20
action forward
vlan filter dropbad vlan-list 4000
Then i copy this config to 6500, and it's not working. I configured two ports, one is switchport access vlan 4000 and other is switchport capture allowed vlan 4000, and i see on both ports same broadcast traffic. Filter is working, but packets are not dropping. I've tried to find something in manual, but found only about platform cwan acl software-switched, enabled it, nothing changed.
cat6500# sh vlan filter
VLAN Map dropbad:
Configured on VLANs: 4000
Active on VLANs: 4000

i think i solve the problem: to make vlan filtering to work on 6500, i've added:
# conf t
(config)# int vlan 4000
(config-if)# no shut
(config-if)# mac packet-classify
Now, how to mark this question answered?
