AddEventListener() in CS4 not equal to CS5.5?

hello there my name is Edgar and I have a problem with AE Cs5.5, this script
winObj.addEventListener("keyDown",function(k){alert(k.keyName)})
used to capture the whole keyboard I mean (Control, shift, Alt, arrow keys,etc) but now in CS 5.5 it does not seem to do that anymore and only captures letters and numbers of the keyboard.
am I wrong? please someone help I need to capture the arrow keys event

Lloyd thanks a lot for answearing and let me say that I tried what you suggested to do but it does not work neither of them.
but I descovered that the problem happens to be when the the target engine is after effects cause when the target engine is Extend Script itself that function works nice.And another think that I descovered is that when the Window object is empty I mean with no control objects the addEventListener() doesn´t work at all.
Please another workaround I´ll be waiting.

Actionscript created in CS4 not Working in CS5.5 Trial?

I have an interview coming up and decieded to improve some older works to present. The files I am using were created using my schools computers and CS4 Flash and actionscript 3. However, since I do not have a copy of Flash myself, I downloaded the trial of CS5.5 to work with, but the first file I started editing (a simple game where I was going to fix an audio loop) is no longer working as I had previous left it.
The main error I notice is my score counter which is meant to update every frame by 1, but currently I've been seeing it go from 0 to 4 to blank and then resetting.
I did not edit this file since I submitted it, but there are a few errors happening when I run it using CS5.5 Flash. I have my older swf file on my laptops desktop and it runs perfectly. Is this a common occurance with bringing CS4 files into CS5 and CS5.5?
Is there any other information I can give to help?

I've posted to this forum before with questions related to code but no one could help me unless I posted at least the pertinent snippets of code, if not the entire code, so they could see and troubleshoot. If your code is all located on frame 1 and is not too long it would be a good idea to post it to see if other viewers of this post can help.

Files opening in bridge cs4, not cs5

I have all my graphics types associated with bridge, but they open in cs4, and changing the association (in open with...) does nothing.
Maybe I should just uninstall bridge cs4?

Afraid that I might be called a smartypants I still suggest a different approach.
Personally I want my .psd-files to open in eg. Photoshop if I double click them from within Windows Explorer. Same with .indd/ai opening in InDesign or Illustrator.
Therefore I've made a .reg file that contains this:

This gives me the possibility to right click a folder, sadly not a specific file, and have it "open"/previewed/organized in Bridge.
Naturally this doesn't help your current issue with Bridge CS4 opening instead of CS5.
Just wanted to give you a possible workaround.
If everything else fails contacting Adobe Support could be an option...

Lightroom 3 does not see Photoshop CS5 as Primary EXTERNAL editor

After removing prior versions of Lightroom (2.7) and Photoshop (CS4), Lightroom 3 does not recognize Photoshop CS5 64 bit or 32 bit as the PRIMARY external editor. I can select the file and edit in the proper file, but the other options are greyed out.

Related files not showing in CS5

In Dreamweaver CS4, files related to the source file (for example, source file: index.php, related file referenced in source file: index.css) are shown just below the source file name in the toolbar above code/design view, but related files are not shown in CS5. In CS5, clicking in the main menu "View" -> "Related Files" shows "(No Related Files)." but index.css is a related file. Was this an intended change in CS5 or am I not understanding what a related file is?

And when I edit my stylesheet and click ENTER, I get the following error message:

Margins are not equal.

I am on my third Xerox. This one is a refurb 8560. It produces really nice color and all that.But it does not center the margins on the pictures I've printed.Margin errors occur in both Tray 1 and Tray 2.I set the canvas to 5 X7 and the item to a lesser size.But both the top and side margins are not equal.The same thing happens with larger paper (8.5x11) in Tray 2.My previous Xerox which was a Laser with toner never had that problem.I'm using Photoshop CS5.I'd appreciate any advice.Thanks.

I did do the firmware upgrade.I realized that the answer to the margins, at least for simple things, is not to create margins in PhotoShop. If I just make the picture the size I want it centers fine. I do have another question.Assume I print a picture on Xerox Glossy paper and have it framed behind glass.A picture on Epson Glossy printed with an Epson Ink Jet claims 200 years.But I haven't seen the equivalent for any Xerox. I spoke to someone at Xerox some years ago when I had a color laser and I was told that there were too many kinds of paper that could be used. So they did not test it. I have a high end Epson but it is a pain to use and it is slow. I find using the Xerox printers are faster and I don't have to deal with icc profiles.

When opening CS4 AE template in CS5 "particular" effect is missing

I purchased CS5 today so that I could wotk on a last minute client request involving modifications to a template. However when I open the project I receive the message "particular" effect is missing. Was this bundled with CS4 and is it now not available in CS5? Any suggestions on how I can correct this error?

Particular is a third party plugin from Trapcode. It is not, and has never been, bundled with any version of After Effects.

It's probably the most useful plugin in my After effects tool kit - well worth the money.
Depending on what Particular is used for in your project, other AE-bundled particle plugins like CC Particle World, may be able to replicate what it is you need.

Project not opening after CS5 Install

So I built a project in CS4, opened it in CS5, saved it as a different name, restarted and all I get is the Comp inside the Project box. Nothing happens when I click on the project in either CS4 or 5 now. Any ideas? Thanks

CS4 Premium Design to CS5 Standard?

I currently have CS4 premium design package I got for my school classes.
Now they have updated to CS5.
The only problem is I know I have to update the suite because it's under a student license.
However, I want to update it to CS5 standard rather than CS5 premium design. Is it still possible to keep CS4 dreamweaver?
If I uninstall CS4 premium and install CS5 Standard can I reinstall Dreamweaver CS4?
Also, I'm not sure if my computer will work with it I know I have enough RAM but here are my computer specs:

InCopy CS4 ok with InDesign CS5.5?

I work at a small newspaper using all Macs and CS4. The writers use InCopy as their word processor, and the designer links their IC files in her ID document. Sometimes an IC linked file will require further editing in IC, but they never use IC to open an ID document.
We want to upgrade the designer and copy editors (who all use InDesign) to CS5.5. I'm wondering if we can squeeze another year out of the writers' PPC Macs, which will not run IC CS5.5, by having them stay on IC CS4. Having to upgrade 15 Macs will be pricy.
I've seen several questions here about using InCopy CS5.5 with older versions of InDesign, but not the other way around. Can InCopy CS4 be used with InDesign CS5.5 in the workflow I have described?
Related question: if InCopy CS5.5 opens an InCopy CS4 doocument, does that change the document so that it can't be opened in InCopy CS4 again? (in case we upgrade the writers incrementally).

Just bite the bullet and upgrade everyone. Sometimes the cost for doing something is way less than it is for not doing something.

Is not equal to operator not working properly in obiee 11g

I have 5 members in a dimesion ENTITY.gen5 (A,B,C,D,E) .
nOW , I am using a *"is equal to "* operator in that ,
ENTITY.gen5 = A;B .
Which results in a strange error while running the report :
Socket communication error : was attempted on somthing which is not socket .
or sometimes ,
Socket communication error : Oracle BI server is not currently running .
So , I tried with giving "is not equal to" i.e . ENTITY.gen5 != C;D;E .
Then , I am getting A,B,C . C is not desired here .
FYI , I have renamed ENTITY.gen5 member names in essbase once and after refreshing I tried the above .

In EM, go to Weblogic Domain, right click on bifoundation_domain and on the Security menu choose Application Policies.
Set Application Stripe to obi and click the blue arrow search button.
Highlight BIConsumer and click Edit.
Under Permissions locate Resource Name oracle.bi.publisher.scheduleReport. Highlight this and click Delete...
Click OK (top right corner).
Now log your user out of OBIEE and back in again, and the option should have disappeared from their New menu.

the logic applied is incorrect
NotEquals is a boolean function meaning it will accept only boolean values as input....
To check if the Material Number is ZPRO or not use the below logic
MaterialNumber                                            Then(FG)
                      ------equalS(TextFunction) ---- not -----ifWithElse ------------------ Target
Constant (ZPRO)                                                   Else(FC)

Upgrade CS4 design premium to CS5.5 standard, what happens with my web apps?

I'm planning to upgrade my CS4 design premium to CS5.5 design standard, but I still like to use Dreamweaver from the CS4. Does anyone know if this is possible. I've chatted with an Adobe sales employe who said I can only upgrade to CS5.5 design premium in order to keep using dreamweaver but I read that other people are using different versions of CS simultanously on 1 computer. Any thoughts?

I respectfully disagree. The license includes a stipulation that you can continue to use the earlier version during a transition period. There is no set time limit there. I have CS3, CS4, CS5 and CS5.5 installed.
