Does anyone know how I can add an active (ie updatable) calendar to iWeb 09? Thanks!!

Create and publish your iCal calendar. Go to it online and get it's URL. Add an HTML snippet with iFrame code and add the iCal URL.

Hi,
Lion has changed the way reminders (todos as was) work. They now seem to need to be in a seperate calendar.
In iCal open the File menu and select New Reminder List... and select where to put it.

I added a calendar event to repeat every two weeks, but it repeats every day.

I've added a calendar event to repeat every two weeks, but it repeats every day. The original event was set up for all Day on Wednesday, Nov 5. Setting up for a single day worked fine. Add the repeat option and select every two weeks...and it shows up every day until the end date. I've re-booted the phone and tried other start dates. Same result. This is in the base iPhone calendar. No other calendars have been installed. iPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2. Any suggestions?

Found a workaround:
Just change each attribute 1 item at a time.
Create the calendar entry for one day only with no other settings.
Go back in and edit it so that its every two weeks, then leave and confirm this worked.
Open calendar back up and add in the end date.
That's the only way I could get it to accept those settings, one attribute at a time.
Misc. bug I suppose. I miss the "It just works" days. Living in silicon valley, the QA engineering buds I have at apple go on rants about the undisclosed/undiscovered but known bugs in ios every time we're having drinks. From what I hear, internally IOS8/8.1 weren't ready for prime time push just yet.

Need advice about using a calendar in iweb

I am wanting to use a calendar in iweb. Does anybody have a suggestion of how this can be done. I've looked at ical and google calendar, but is there something that can be used with html snippet?

You can use Google calendar as an html snippet, just copy and paste the code. It is found when you go to share calendar - it gives you the html code to embed in your website.

TS2198 iCal crashes after adding Gmail calendar

iCal crashes after adding Gmail calendar (4 subcalendars and 1 shared calendar). I tried deleting Gmail calendar and re-entered them. I tried re-syncing, starting in safe mode, and moving iCal Preferences to the desktop. The problem continues. Any suggestions?

ICal Crashes after adding Subscribed Calendar (google)

As soon as I add a subscribed Google calendar, iCal becomes problematic. Doesn't matter if I add it manually or by using a link. As soon as I turn off the subscribed calendar, iCal starts working flawlessly. Any ideas on how to fix?
Closed/Launched iCal
Removed/Added subscribed calendar (both manually and via link)
Rebooted several times
Happens whether on 4G or WiFi
Happens with all options in iCloud enabled/disabled

I looked on Google support as suggested by Eric, but this pointed me back to the Apple support forums where I came across this thread which I hadn't seen before.
Like other thread on the subject it had a lot of suggestions that didn't look helpful. However after reading through the various posts I tried the following.
1. I went off-line from the intranet, and that meant that I could actually open iCal to update my password within iCal. However when you go back online you still get errors and therefore have to go through steps 2 & 3 for a complete solution.
2. I then made sure all my Google related passwords within Keychain were correct using Keychain Access
3. I then ran Keychain First Aid from within Keychain Access
Once I had done all those things I was able to get back into iCal without any errors.

Calendars on iWeb Question

Hi,
I'm making a website for a prefecture in Japan and I'd like people from all over to add to one calendar which I can post on the website I've made using iWeb. I don't want to have to invite 150 people to the google calendar or my mobileme account. And then again next year when new people come.
I've messed around with google calendar and it seems the best option as I can invite people and then let them add people who are allowed to edit the calendar but they must have a google address to do so. Not perfect.
Mobile me doesn't seem to have this kind of option... but I'm new to it on a trial run.
So, is there anyway I can make a calendar and publish it on iWeb which anyone can add events to which doesn't require me to individually invite a large number of people?
What have people used for a calendar on iWeb? Suggestions?

Thanks for the tungle link. An interesting bit of software but not what I'm looking for.
I don't want to have to manage visitors to my site. I want people to be able to post events and read what's going on and do little work myself. The tungle app seems more like an appointment scheduler. Nifty for sure but not what I need.
I'm going to try and use the blog template. People can post comments and information under certain topics. In theory it may work but I'd still like a calendar. And ideally a calendar that anyone can add to and anyone can download / sync with their PC or MAC. That would be beautiful!

Adding more calendars through Palm Online

I know you can do this by adding more calendars from google. But I cant seem to add more calendars to my general Palm WebOS Calendar app. My wife does not have Google. And she doesn't want to sign up. She has a pre plus and wants to be able to add more calendars and categories.
Anyway that on the Palm User login we can have an option to add more calendars to our pre/pixi's? Thanks for listening.

There is currently no option available for palm profile calendars.

Iweb and adding a calendar

i wanna make a calendar on my iweb site.
i wanted to add a calendar element to a page but also have an image above it to make it look like a real calendar u put on a wall. and i would change the image every month.
so i would prefer to be able to put an image behind the calendar that makes the calendar appear like its on a stack of papers and be able slant the images and clander a tad.

Adding a calendar scheduling capability to my website

I’m novice Website Designer in that I’ve only created 1 website, mine, 3 different iterations. I want to add a calendar scheduling capability to my website. I’d like to be able to display a calendar which will allow a visitor to click on a specific day, select a specific time of that day, and add their name and number to a specific time, which will then allow the visitor to save the calendar schedule to update it. This calendar will then send me an email indicating that I have a new appointment added to my calendar, then, allowing me to accept the scheduled appointment, which would then turn the time slot on the calendar a particular color for the user to be able to know that his schedule has been saved and accepted.
I have Dream Weaver CS4 which I used to create my website with. My Web host has MYSQL, and PHP if I need a dynamic creation capabilities.
Is there a tutorial out there that I can use to walk me through how to create a calendar scheduling capabilities? Is there a video that I download that can walk me through creating this capability? Is there code out there that I can paste that will perform this function for me?

I don’t use adobe website often and I don’t use the forum often, so when accessing my page after logging in, my objective was to post a question, but, the website isn’t intuitive nor is there verbiage specifically saying the obvious, “Select a product that you want to post a question about, or “Click Here””.
Either put simple and direct verbiage stating where to post specific questions or put visuals that pop up that guide a user to open forums associated to specific product.
It’s natural for a user that isn’t used to your website to make this type of mistake. I’d recommend that you consider testing your website with testers by providing test material asking the tester to access certain areas of your website with minimum instructions. Then allow them to critique the intuitiveness of your website.
When I worked for Raytheon, One of our software testing techniques was asking people who had “no” idea of the functionality of the software to test and submit critiques as to the website intuitiveness. We found that out software development team assumed that most users were savvy enough to navigate the software. Thus, we didn’t allow our development team to write user instructions because our software developers couldn’t understand why users weren’t able to follow their user instructions. We created training material for the user that had the least understanding of technical stuff. This allowed us to ensure that any and all users were able to navigate our software app without feeling like punching the screen.
I did attempt to search for the correct place to submit my question, but, as you can tell, I didn’t do a good job.

In error, I added a new group name to someone else's calendar and it shows up as 'Untitled1'. Is it possible to remove/delete that group and leave it with original group names? Thanks.

Thanks for you speedy reply!! I am not really savvy when it comes to this kind of stuff. My mac is running Mavericks and when I go to my contacts under the "iCloud" I have the name of my contacts list with my contacts and then under that is "smart group" where I have a group name with a list of contacts. I don't want to get rid of the "smart group" I want delete the group I created under "smart group."

Adding a movie in iWeb using a movie template.

I wanted to add a small QuickTime movie to my web site.
I added a movie template page to the site and then dropped the movie to the box. In iWeb, I am able to click on the play button and the movie plays just fine. But when I publish the site and upload it, where the movie should be is just a Q for QuickTime.
So then I made a plain box with the enable as a hyperlink and a link to the movie. Just like I would to do a pdf file.
My question is how do I get the movie page to work? It looks better with the movie page.

Adding a movie to iWeb

Hi guys
I have just started to play with iWeb '08, and all was going well until I tried to add an iMovie film. Firstly iWeb advised that the file was too large for web use and that I should convert to a suitably sized Quicktime movie. I did this through Share>Export using Quicktime> and selected Broadband - medium as the use. The file exported successfully, and opens and plays normally in Quicktime (size is 2.8MB).
However, when I try to drag into iWeb from Finder, I get this message:
"The media file “filename.mov” can’t be used because you don’t have access privileges, or because it has no content or is corrupt."
It's not corrupt, and has content (as it opens just fine in Quicktime 7.4), and I am the admin user so can't see how I can't have access privileges!
Any help gratefully received, I'd like to get this sorted so we have something to show granny next weekend!!

Lion has nothing to do with counters. For iWeb counters to work you must publish the website to MobileMe.
If you publish your site to a 3rd party ftp server you will need to use a 3rd party counter like StatCounter. This tutorial describes how to apply the counter via HTML snippts: 13 - Adding a Graphical StatCounter as an HTML Snippet to an iWeb Page.
