Adding a collection to a VO

Using JDeveloper 11g PS2
I have a VO called Dossiers which has some attributes from the dossiers table...
I also have a content repository with documents. Each dossier has multiple documents attached to it. I can use a java api to access the content repository and query it so it will return a list of documents linked to a specific dossier.
How should i add that list to my VO?
I first thought i should do it by exposing a method getDocuments in the client interface but i get strange errors...
This is what i have done:
1) In my VO, generate the View Row Class
2) I've added my method to the DossierRowImpl class:

3) Edit the Client Row Interface
4) Shuttle the getDocuments method to the right
5) Save all and refresh the data control.
6) Drag and drop the return of my getDocuments method to a JSPX page
7) Generate a table out of it
8) run the page

SharePoint 2010 designer workflow assoicated tasklist not showing columns added by collect data

Hi,
We had a SharePoint designer workflow in production. This is a reusable workflow, and this workflow uses collect data action to get some of data from users. Through collect data action, we added 7 columns(default task list), which have been used in logging,
email template and other places in the rest of the workflow.
Suddenly we find all the references to task columns(added through collect data), are not showing up in the workflow. If we try to add those collect data columns, it is not showing in "Field from Source" field as shown below.
Here Association Tasklist field are not showing.
If we again try to select columns, we find that all the columns that we added through collect data
no longer visible in associated task list.
Please help.

Please can you confirm which version of Outlook your users have (and if they are all on the same version)? All my none 2007 users lack the Edit Item button, and have to use the links in the body of the email, which I believe is simply due to the fact that
2003 et al lacks the same SharePoint integration options as 2007.

Having trouble adding new collection in ibooks?

Hi
I am having trouble a adding a new collection in ibooks. When I click on "+New Collection" it disappears and the keyboard does not pop up and then seems to freeze. It was working fine yesterday and only encountered this problem this morning.
Has anyone else had this problem or know how I go about fixing it?

The problem is not thru TWC... I can access my account in Outlook and also by Webmail.
The problem is on the Iphone 4 (I had no problem on my 3G). Like I said, the settings I have entered are the same as the settings for the other 4 accounts. The only portion of the setup that I cannot access during the "failed" setup is the "Advanced" where I can turn SSL off and confirm password authentication.

Bridge CS5: Images added to collection get removed from collection

This is the first time I used non-smart collections. But, I'm sure that I'm quite sure that I'm not doing anything wrong.
I simply dragged thumbnails into the collection from various folders and the collection shows all 20 images. Then, I close out Bridge and open it later, only to find that there are only 4 images in that collection. There may have been 4 images to start with, but every image I've added does not get remembered. This has happened twice and it's very unnerving because the images I am adding are coming from folders that are all over the place and it's very hard to look up all the pictures again.
What's up with this?

I've just noticed this problem, by chance, whilst moving data to a new computer.
We found that files that were in collections were randomly missing from Bridge CS5's display, and sure enough, as described earlier, as soon as a file in the collection with a quote/spostrophe was read, that file and the rest of the collection were missing from Bridge CS5's display.
(This was using Bridge 4.0.3.9. Adobe Application Manager tells me my software is uptodate)
Because we had some backed up copies of Collections from both Bridge CS4 and Bridge CS5, I've been able to work a few things out, which I hope might help someone at Adobe get the problem fixed - and might help a few frustrated users too...
Background
The following entirely applies to Windows 7 (and presumably Windows Vista too):
In Bridge CS4, collections files are stored in:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS4\Collections
In Bridge CS5, collections files are stored in:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS5\Collections
Both CS4 and CS5 store their Collections in files called <collection name>.filelist
Both are XML files, where file paths are surrounded by apostrophes:
For example:
<file uri='bridge:fs:file:///D:/Shared%20Images/Flowers/RHS/DSC_0788.jpg'>
Both Bridge CS4 and CS5 convert any spaces in file paths to %20 - so /Shared%20Images/ above is actually /Shared Images/ on disk.
The cause of the bug
Crucially, however, in Bridge CS4, any apostrophes (i.e. single quotes) in file paths get converted to %27
But this conversion does not happen in Bridge CS5. And then when filelists get read back in, the data is truncated.
As a developer, I'm surprised at this sort of regression in behaviour, in such expensive software from such a large company.
Workarounds
None of these should be required to be done by a user, I feel, but I have found that they do work, and they could be scripted (e.g. in Python) if someone were sufficiently desparate:
Edit your .filelist files that were created by Bridge CS5, and convert all ' in file paths to %27 - oh yes, and remember to do that every time you add any new files to any existing or new Collections
Edit your .filelist files and change the single quotes at the start and end of each <file uri line to double quotes
I don't regard "remove quotes from your file names" as an acceptable workaround, however. We've got nearly 400GB of files, going back more than 10 years, and various of these are referred to from other locations, e.g. InDesign publications: if we were to rename locations for the benefit of Bridge, we'd break other stuff on the PC.

Clients added to collection after deploying packages.

I have noticed a number of times that after I deploy an application or package to a collection, any devices that may get added to that collection seem not to pick up the deployment. Is this normal or do I need change a configuration somewhere to allow this

that is not normal, they should pick it up, for Packages it could the schedule if they have run the advertisement before and for applications could it be that the application is already installed? and found by the detection method.
I would look at thoose clients in the execmgr.log file for packages/programs and in AppDiscovery.log and AppEnforce.log file for information about applicationdeployments to that client.
You can also use PolicySpy from the toolkit to trooubleshoot the policy itself.

After adding seperate performance collections to MAP 9.1 database, the database has become corrupted

Hi,
I have installed MAP 9.1(9.1.265.0) on my notebook, with Windows 7 Enterprise. The inventory of our environment was successfull and I have successfully added some performance collections to the database.
First I ran the performance collection for one hour, then added a performance collection of one week. this was okay.
Then I waited one week and added another collection of about five days. That collection would not stop: It was scheduled to run between 2014-07-28 12:49:31 until 2014-08-01 05:00:04. But it was still running at 2014-08-01 05:30:25. I waited for a little
bit longer, but the collection kept on running according to the status screen.
So I cancelled out of the collection at 2014-08-01 05:45. In the performance data it said that the colection ran from Jul 14 2014 08:04 AM until Aug 1 2014 4:57AM. So that looked okay.
But now, when I try to Get the performance metrics data from MAP, it states that I have to do a "Refressh Assessment", because I problably have cancelled out of a collection. This "Refresh Assessment" wil run for about an hour and than
completes with a message "Failed"

Is there maybe a restriction to the intervalls of adding performance collection data, or is there something else I am doing wrong?
(I made a backup of the database after the first week of performance data, that database is still usable, so I can try to add more performance collections to that version of the database)

Time between isn't the problem. If you look in the log file, SQL is timing out. I think the problem is machine resources and time related. After the performance data collection has run for the predefined amount of time, MAP has SQL execute various assessments
on the data to aggregate the raw data into something MAP can use. The more raw data that exists, the longer SQL will take and the more CPU and memory resources SQL will need.
I would recommend that you have at least 4 cores or vCPU's and 6-8 GB of memory dedicated to the machine on which MAP is running. I would also follow the directions in this Wiki article to increase the timeout in MAP so that MAP will give SQL the time it
needs to complete the job.

Photos missing from Recently Added, Collections after IOS8 update

After I uptaded my IPad Air to IOS 8, photos were missing from Recently Added and Collections. (I understand Camera Roll and Photo Stream are gone.) My Recently Added photos dated to June (it's September) and my shared IPhone photos were missing from both the Collections/Moments where everything is supposed to be now. Photos In Last Import are also from June. I was fumbling through the Comminties threads and found a partial solution on a related IPhone thread. I can't figure out how to link to it, but someone called Apple tech and they suggested going to Settings/Photos & Camera and toggling My Photo Stream off and then on again. I was reluctant to do this since a pop-up warns that all photos in your stream will be deleted. But as soon as I did it, aphotos started downloading to the Recently Added. They're out of chronological order, and there are duplicates, but at least they haven't all disappeared. (Also, not w complaint, but my Recently Added goes back to 2011, not 30 days.) Photos are still missing from Last Import and Collections. Any other ideas? At least now this feels recoverable, I'll put everything in Albums quick.

ADF JSF, refresh collection using a DAO without a database - Best Practice?

I have previously developed a comprehensive application using ADF 10.12. This application did not use a database, instead I was manually populating collections of objects that data controls were generated for to talk to the ADF components.
This applciation was based upon the old (10.12) version of ADF and utilised the following structure;
DataPage (start.jsp) --> DataAction (getRecords) --> DataPage (display.jsp)
In this instance, by overriding methods on the getRecords DataAction I could populate the collection that was to be displayed on the display.jsp DataPage.
I am now designing a new application that will hopefully use the latest version of ADF (10.13). This application will also use collections of objects from an external source.
The structure of ADF 10.13 (faces-config.xml) is different to 10.12 (struts-config.xml) e.g.
JSFPage (start.jsp) --> getResults (navigation case) --> JSFPage (display.jsp)
Having read the ADF Developer Guide, and looked through example #60 (onPageLoad) that was developed by Steve Muench, I am aware that there are at least three options that I could use to get populate the collection of objects that are displayed on the display.jsp page when a button is pressed on the start.jsp page;
1. use a backing bean that extends PageController
2. use a backing bean that extends PagePhaseListener
3. use a backing bean that has a specific action that is assigned to the button
Q1a. which one is the most appropriate/efficient to use?
When the button is pressed on the start.jsp page, it will be set to call getResults navigation case on faces-config.xml.
Q1b. Is it possible to detect when this action is triggered, populate the collection of data which is bound the display.jsp JSFPage, and then allow the getResults navigation case to continue execution?
The application that I am developing will have the following structure;
recordObject - Object to hold a record
recordCollection - Collection of recordObjects
recordDao - DAO use to populate the recordCollection
When using 10.12 I did not have a separate recordDao (as it was query only) I had a refresh method within the recordCollection.
Q2. what is the most efficient way of achieving this? there will be one DAO per Collection and approx 30 Collections
Q3. does anyone have/can point me in the direction of any other examples where actions that trigger call navigation cases are overriden, custom actions are called and then the original ones allowed to continue?

This is what I have done;
set up the following pages and navigation cases (show in bold) on faces-config.
start.jsp >> getSystems >> systems.jsp >> display >> display.jsp
systems.jsp >> new >> new.jsp
systems.jsp << back << new.jsp
added refreshCollection() as a button to start.jsp
set the button to call getSystems
added the collection as a read only table to systems.jsp
- this works correctly
added the collection as an input form to the new.jsp page
added the addNewRecord(systemObject so) function as a button to new.jsp
set the button to call back
- this is where I encounter a problem.
The addNewRecord(systemObject so) function takes a new record as a parameter and adds it to the collection. It is doing this but it is not populating the new record. I know that this is the case because when I return to the systems.jsp page there is a new record within the table but it is empty.
Q. How do I capture the values from the input form that is on the new.jsp page, set them to a new instance of an object and then pass this object to the addNewRecord(systemObject so) function?

Good news! Uploads for collections reenabled in PSM.

Well, for those institutions new to iTunes U, you can now upload content to Apple's servers to create collections! This option was removed in early 2009 forcing institutions to provide their own RSS and content hosting.
Dear iTunes U Administrator,
You now have the option to upload content for your iTunes U collections by choosing "Apple-Hosted Feed" when adding a new collection. You may continue to use RSS as well.
Hosting for iTunes U Courses remains the same.

Collection compilation erroe

I am using a process which creates and loads and then updates 2 collections.
The very last step in 100 or so lines of code before an end loop/end is this line:
APEX_COLLECTION.UPDATE_MEMBER_ATTRIBUTE (tip, seqnum, days, thetip);
which gives this error
ORA-06550: line 112, column 5: PLS-00307: too many declarations of 'UPDATE_MEMBER_ATTRIBUTE' match this call ORA-06550:
I have updated another collection with an identical structure (but different name) earlier in the loop, using the same syntax without a problem
Variables are defined thus:
tip varchar2(20) := 'TOOLTIP';
thetip varchar2(400);
day INTEGER;
seqnum INTEGER;
Previously I had only 1 collection in the process and this compiled and executed perfectly; I added another collection to store tooltips for each cell, and now I have this compilation error, which I cannot make sense of.
Any ideas?

p_attr_value => thetip
His theory is that it was an overloading problem. r is an integer while thetip is a varchar2; anyway at least it parses properly now.

Adding a CI Build with powershell

Adding a CI Build (class: System.Build) with powershell to Service Manager 2012 R2 results in an error, but the Build is added with the correct properties. Here is the error message:

Here are some findings: Smlets are not exact enough, because in the System.build Object there are 2 Notes Fields. One from the System.ConfigItem class and one from the System.Build class. I do not understand the reason for two notes fields, but the smlets

ITUNES NOT ADDING SOME MUSIC TO LIBRARY

I updated my itunes and ipod to the most recent versions and now I have problems.
I'm losing patience and I am extremely angry.. My library and Ipod were working perfectly before the last update now I have major issues with Itunes not recognizing some songs that were already succesfully addedto my library.
Itunes no longer recognizes about 20% of the music in my library. I tried everything . Re-installs, re-adding folder, re-adding file etc... The only thing that has worked is deleting and re-adding the CD, BUT I REFUSE TO DO THIS FOR 100'S OF CD'S ALL OVER AGAIN !!!
ALSO ALL OF MY FILES WORK FINE IN WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER AND WIN AMP... IT IS ONLY ITUNES THAT HAS THIS ISSUE.
I want some one to tell me why all other software runs these files fine but itunes won't. I have way to many songs to go back an re-enter all my music. It would take me months to do this and I WILL NOT DO THIS.
I WANT A FIX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having the exact same problem. iTunes stopped playing about 20% of the songs that were previously imported into my music library. The songs are listed in the library, but when you click on them to play, nothing happens. They used to work perfectly. I deleted the entire library and re-added my collection, and those songs that stopped playing were not included in the new library. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, then re-added my collection, and those songs were still missing.
The songs are still on my hard drive, will play in Windows Media Player, and will also play in QuickTime! I've tried ading the songs individually, adding the folders, double clicking on the song in Windows Explorer to see if it will play and be copied over...and nothing.
This is VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

Import computer and add to multiple collections - is this possible ?

Looking for a way to import computers into SCCM and make them a member of other collections also.

We wish to deploy applications during a task sequence based on collection variables, but the thing is we have sub departmewnts that may have other variables set up for software deployment, this is fine if the computer is 'known' and already a member of the
collection, if the computer is unknown then it wont be a member of any other collection until it has run its hardware inventory etc and added to collections based on its queries.
So my question - how do i add or include and unknown computer so its asscociated with other collections ?

Importing a computer basically just creates a manual machine entry and a direct membership rule for the target collection. That's it.
So you can't add it to two collections used that mechanism. That's either a manual work (adding another direct membership rule for the other collection) or automatic (using a dynamic collection that uses e.g. the first 3 letters of the computername etc)

JiBX Collection Problem

Hi,
I'm using the JiBX to bind the xml with java objects. But it comes out an error after i added the collection in.
     [bind] Error: Nonstatic field person not found in class java.lang.Object; on structure element at (line 4, col 46, in jibx-collection/binding.xml)
     [bind] Warning: Property access attributes (field, get-method, set-method, test-method) ignored for collection item; on structure element at (line 4, col 46, in jibx-collection/binding.xml)data.xml

It comes out with same error even i changed the person to Person.

Hi,
If it is SQL defined then you can get some think like:
SELECT MIN(),MAX() FROM TABLE (Your Collection)
And if it is defined in PL/SQL then you will have to traverse entire collection for min and max.

ADF TUTORIAL: PROBLEMS WITH "Export Collection Action Listener"

windows xp
jedev 11.1.1.3.0
firefox 3.6.13
tutorial: Developing Ajax-Based User Interfaces with JSF: An Introduction to ADF Faces Rich Client Components

mainstep: "working with menus"
substep: number 5 "add collection action listener"
until the step "working with menus" works everthing fine. after i added the collection action listener and saved my work, the webapplication will not open. i see only a blank page and no error message.
when i delete the action listener works everything fine again.
how can i fix this issue? thx to everyone.

I'm not sure if this is going to help anyone , but if you're stuck at that point of the tutorial , try to drop the "Export Collection Action Listener" onto the menuItem "Export To Excel" not under it;
So the xml under the source tab should look something like this :
