Adding a domain name to BC site results in Error. Cannot locate Adobe support.

"Error. Domain name already exists..." Have 3 sites not working right now.
Sorry to post multiple times, but Adobe support is non-existent, and Live Chat and Open a Ticket are both circular links that never go anywhere, nor let me contact Adobe.
Past answers said Adobe needed to clear out their servers, but all answers in forum are from 2012(!).
Already lost a day, need help ASAP.

Ok, Sorry for the misconception earlier. In that case, you will need to replace the nameservers at your domain registrar to the following nameservers for BC:
ns1.worldsecuresystems.com
ns2.worldsecuresystems.com
ns3.worldsecuresystems.com

So get Plesk support help to replace the nameservers and in BC, Add a domain to your site in BC under Site Settings -> Site Domains -> New Domain.
This will help you redelegate the site domain to BC nameservers and the domain added will work to show the site with BC.

Multiple domains names and web sites with only one SLS and one static IP

I tried to find a post on this topic but I still can't find what needs to be done.
SLS is configured for one domain with one web site and it's working well. We will call it domain1.com. Here is the config:
Static IP: 69.x.x.x
DNS setting under Server Admin:
hostname: server.domain1.com
Two DNS entries under domain1.com with:
www - alias - server.domain1.com
server - Machine - 10.0.1.x (fixe IP for server on LAN)
Web settings under Server Admin:
server.domain1.com - 10.0.1.x - Port 80
Domain1.com is managed with DynDNS Custom DNS Service with 1 record:
domain1.com - A-record - 69.x.x.x
I want to host a second domain (for a website) called domain2.com. It's also registred at DynDNS and I have custom DNS setting to configure.
What's need to be done to have both domains with seperate web site on SLS under DNS and Web settings (beside the fact that I will have 2 different folders with the website files in it). I understand that I will need a new entry in the DNS for the new domain (domain2.com) and also an entry in the Web Service pane. But what are the details.

Yes. With "Ordinary Forwarding" you normally just type your .Mac url (web.mac.com/username/sitename) into a form at the place where you have your name.
I thought I was using 'web.mac.com' as the 'www' CNAME (alias) for my personal domain name (web address), so that when someone typed in my personal domain name they would 'go' to the domain registration location, which would then pass it on to the .Mac server, where my web site is hosted.
That's exactly right. It's just not the only way to do that. Ordinary Forwarding is another way, but it differs in terms of what appears in the address bar of the browser. Either you will see web.mac.com/username/.... or, if you add "masking", you will see your personal name for all pages. The CNAME method results in a address bar that reads www.myname.com/sitename/pagename.html.
Am I way off?

Domain name showing instead of DisplayName (DN Error)

For a portion of our users, myself included the Domain\UserName shows in sharepoint but for the majority of users it shows the display name fine.
I've done a full user profile synch today and also restarted the Forefront Identity Manager Service & Synch but it's still nto fixed.
The weird thing is from seeing other people's problems they generally have everyone with domain name but it's a mixture here on my farm.
Here's the error from the Application log;

Right now got the service running again, but the following powershell error - can anyone explain please? Can i just paste a powershell command in and it work?? Firstly go the UP GUID from Get-SPServiceInstance and then tried to run

How to auto save output with date added to file name, and email the results?

We found a script to capture disk space usage, that automatically places the results into an Excel file. We would like the script to autosave this file to a specific directroy with the date ran as part of teh file name. We would then like these results to
be emailed to us if possible. (also if possible to highlight cell in red that is 5% OR less available disk space would be great)

I tried calling Google's 24/7 telephone support but they require to enter a PIN & I don't remember what that could be.
The contact via email option is only available through the admin console, & if I could get to the admin console I wouldn't have a problem.
You have to access the admin console to view the PIN, & I can't remember what email address I used to create the domain in the first place, so I can't reset the password even if I knew which email to use to log in.
I don't know what to do.

How to publcish new Muse Site with existing domain name

We've created a new site in MUSE and we are ready for it to go live via BC. can we just use the same domain name of our existing site that is hosted by others? Will it replace it? Or do I have to cancel my existing hosting service first?

You may create site using Muse, have the Muse project published to Business catalyst.Once done, have the site launched as either free site you get or as paid one based on you requirements.
Once the site is launched, you may have the domain added to the site via site settings > site domains > new domain.
When you add the domain you have two options :
1. Use our DNS service
2. Use External DNS service
Based of your requirement , you will need to add the domain and have the domain redirected to Business catalyst where the site is now hosted.
As far your existing site is concerned, you may want to keep it until the muse site is ready and published to business catalyst. However, once you are ready and domain is redirected , you may cancel your subscription with third party hosting service .

Is it possible to create a different web site using a different web address in IWeb 06? A friend asked me to make a web site for them....can/how do I publish it to a different address?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The best way is to have a separate domain name for each site you want to manage. When you publish the sites each will have a separate URL. It will be:
http://web.mac.com/your .Mac account name/the site folder name/index.html
I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

Why is a site asking me to renew my domain name

when ever i try to load my company's' site i am being redirected to another site with an information that my domain name has expired, i should renew my domain name.

a domain name links your site to the adress you enter in the browser url-bar (like www.example.com) and is usually only leased for a certain amount of time.
first of all you should inquire if this is a legit message by checking if your domain has indeed expired or will do so shortly. use a site like [http://www.internic.net/whois.html] (or one that applies to your countries TLD) to search for your the whois info of your domain & check the expiration date and registrar.
if expiration is due and the site you are redirected to belongs to the registrar, then you should indeed make arrangements with your domain name's registrar to renew the adress.

Domain Name & Email Options

Setting up my first site in 20 years and going through the domain name registration. I have an existing site (not Muse) that's running just fine but I'm adding on a new site and hoping to use Muse and possibly Business Catalyst.
My question is probably basic, but since I haven't done this in so long, I need to know what the options are now.
First of all, does it make a difference where I register a new domain name? Anything I should be aware of or look out for? From what I understand so far, it's better to register the name separately rather than together with a hosting company in case you want to move to a different hosting company at some point.
Secondly, do I need to 'add-on' email when registering the domain name, or is that done through the website's hosting company? And/or, how does this work through Muse and Business Catalyst?

Good to hear you're getting back into the design game
You actually have a few options here. If you are a Creative Cloud subscriber, Adobe will actually host up to 5 webBasic sites for free. So basically, you would just have to purchase the Domain Name from some place like GoDaddy and then you could actually publish to Adobe's servers, and the hosted is included in your monthly subscription. I believe you just have to log into your Business Catalyst Partner Portal and assign a new domain name to the site you created.
However, a few things I want to make clear about the webBasics sites. These are the most basic Business Catalyst site that you can get, hence why they host them for free. This does not include any type of WordPress-esque blog, or E-mail Marketing, or a customer database of any kind. I think that with the webMarketing plan you can get the blog and the email marketing campaigns, but there's extra monthly costs.
webBasics is great if you are creating a static site that's not going to change very often, like for an Air Conditioning company or something, or even a portfolio that you might just add to every once in a while. Just don't want you to expect a WordPress-type blog, because that's not what these are.
Strangely enough, Muse and Business Catalyst are only loosely related at this point in time (supposed to change in the future). It is possible to integrate, say, a webMarketing site with Adobe Muse, which I have done in the past, but it's not "easy", relative to Muse. You have to know some CSS/HTML/a little PHP to get it to work.
Lastly, when you get your domain name, be sure to check out a site like RetailMeNot.com for any coupon codes. I got my domain for $1.99.

How to add additional email using second domain name?

BC is currently hosting wa-cs.com and we are using email address pointing to that domain. We added wolfeassociates.com domain name to the site and now want to setup emails with that domain name in addition to the wa-cs.com. This should be simple but the option to setup does not appear available.

When you create an email account on the main domain, and alias will automatically be created on the second domain as well. So, when you create [email protected], the system will automatically create an [email protected]
Email sent to either of the two addresses will end up in the same inbox.

IWeb iWebSites. Aussie Domain Names. Search Engines and Business

Hi Everyone,
I am starting a business in Australia. I'm experimenting with my iWeb sites. I can publish and URL forward to seperate sites on my iDisk. I'm working with iWebSites and have just discovered iWeb SEO Tool, but not tried it yet.
I have several .net.au domain names which can be url forwarded to my web pages on iDisc.
At present I'm having no luck with my domain names showing up on Google Searches. I'm experimentig with Google Webmaster tools. Further suggestios would be appreciated.
I read on a recent post that .Mac (.ME) iWeb was maybe not the best for business.
As I live in Australia, would I benefit from having my web pages on Australiam servers? OR Can I solve the issues and continue with my .Mac (.ME) subscription and save extra expense?

It is always beneficial to have a website with a domain that is local to the market you serve. However, once you have created your XML sitemap and submitted to Google Webmaster Tools you can tell Google that your website is geared towards the Australian market.
Google has confirmed that this is just as beneficial as having a local domain name for your country.
However I do recommend you get a proper host and an Australian domain name for the best results. You can pay as little as $60.00/year for everything. These are the reasons;
1) If you plan on doing this later on it is always better to have a domain name with a longer history
2) You have a better chance of ranking higher if you have your own domain name with your company's name in it, or your targeted keywords, than if you use a me.com address
3) If you build up incoming links and then decide to switch to a domain name you will lose all of your link popularity that you have built up. The more people who link to your site, the better chance of ranking high for your keywords.

How can I use a custom domain name?

I noticed that when I try to publish my website, it prompts me to provide a domain name which will have ".businesscatalyst.com" tagged on the end. Is there a way to publish this site to a domain name I already own?

After you publish to a free temporary BC site, you can either pay for the hosting on BC, or if you have a subscription to Muse or Creative Cloud you can redeem one of your included site hosting credits to push the site live, then you can assign your domain name to the site.
