Adding a Line in Advanced Table

Hi,
I see the following code to add line to a advanced table.Can you please explain what these method does. I understand that getRangesize and getrangestart will always give the absolute value of the current range. But then how this piece of code works?
int index=vo.getRangeIndexOf(voLines.last())+1;
voLines.insertRowAtRangeIndex(index,row);

Will insert at the specified index in the current range.
Following is the javadoc of the InsertRowAtRangeIndex - Hope it helps.
Adds a row to the row set at the given index. The index is relative to the range, i.e., index of 0 would mean to insert before the first row of the range. Allowed values for index is 0 to range size. If index equals range size, the row is inserted right after the last row in the range. This method call does not alter the current position of the iterator, nor does it affect the range position.

Can't delete newly added row in inner advanced table

Hi!
Im using advanced in advanced table and i can't delete a row after i added in detail table, i have to refresh the page in order to delete the row.
This is what i do.
execute query from master table
expand row in master table
click Add row button in detail table(standard button in footer)
add data in columns
click save button
select row with multiselect and then click delete button but nothing's happend i just can delete older rows
also i can't edit the new row just older rows.
i think that is something wrong with the cache :S
any ideas?

still no answers, the problem is with the new row created because i cant delete or modify it.

Adding a column in advanced table using personalizations

Is it possible to add a column in advanced table using personalizations.
If Yes , then i am not able get "Create Item" Icon on Advanced table Level personalizations . Can some one give reason? or there is any other way to create Item in Adavnce table.

The support for adding an item in advancedTable is supported from 11.5.10 CU3 onwards. But you can manually add an item in the personalization document and upload it and that should work. I had earlier provided the xml tags for doing that in one of threads and you should be able to find that in the forum. If you are not getting it I will search it for you. We supported the same way of addition using personalization in CU3 so manual addition in to the pers document should be fine for this requirement only.

Adding a Column in Advance Table RN

Hi,
In a standard page, there is a searchRN and based on that, the data in the advance table gets populated. I want to add another column to this advance table. The VO has the required column, so I have to just map the attribute and instance.
If it was not a advance table, I would have done , but for Advance table it looks different. Any step by step approach would really help.

It works for base columns, but I am facing an issue with attributes.
In the VO query, we have:
seLect x1,x2,x3,attribute1,attribute2 from TABLE
in VO attribute (of the new item) when I pass say x2, it works, but the moment I pass attribute1, it errors out. The error being, cannot find 'attribute1' in xyzVO. Wondering, if to map the attributes, we need to do some other steps?

Column not displaying after added by personalization in Advance table

Hi,
I am working in Upgradation project from 11i to R12. I saw that the personalization have alredy migrated in the R12 instance. However these personalization are not displaying in Advance tabel in R12. these are the 4 custom columns which are already present and displaying in 11i. But these are not displaying in R12. I have check Functiona administrator that the personalization are not deactivated. Have checked that rendered property is TRUE for that personalization. I have also checked .xml file from list customization and print document -- jdr_utils...but the files are same in 11i and R12. I have added a custom column by personalizatio but this column also not displaying. Can you please take a light on this issue...I will be highly thankful to you?

Hi Vikram,
Check 4 Custom Attribute is available or not in Translatable Items of Particular Page Via About This Page link.
If attribute available then Please do Re-personalization only in R12 for 4 custom column.
Otherwise You need to do VO Extension Again in R12.

Deleting Row from Advanced Table Region

Dear Members,
I have an OAF Page where I am using Advanced Table Region to display the data of a table.
As soon as the page opens I am displaying one line in Advanced Table Region. In this region I have also given a button called ADD ANOTHER ROW +(using the feature of ADVANCED TABLE COMPONENTS, FOOTER, TABLE FOOTER , ADD TABLE ROW)+.
So when user clicks on this button a new row will be added. Now if user wants to delete it how to achieve this.
Kindly please help me in achieving this functionality.

Hi Arun,
First you need to create a button or image called Delete on your Advanced table region.
Action Type : firePartialAction
Event: delete
Then In your CO PFR , write the below code

Update the DFF attribute in advanced table not working

Hi,
We used a custom value set and enabled the DFF in requisition edit lines page advanced table. We made attribute1 in the DFF as the work order number. When the user enters the work order number, then in PFR, we calculated the project# and task# and populated the fields in that row. When the user changes the task#, then we need to make the work order number null. Below is the logic we followed.
We get the row reference and get the row.
row.setAttribute("Attribute1", null);
When we did the write diagnostics, it is displaying the attribute1 as null, but on the page it is displaying the value that is already existing.
2nd approach we followed is:
Get the handle to the flex using findChildRecursive.
Get the lovInputBean handle from the flex using findChildRecursive
setText(null);
But this 2nd approach is making all the work order numbers in all rows to null.
Can you please let me know how to set the DFF enabled attribute value in advanced table?

Urgent::Issue with advanced tables....

i am new to OA framework
i have view instance (associated with a custom table..i want to insert data into this table using advanced table)with X view attributes..
among them one is primary key.i set that using a sequence value..
rest all.. i made them as columns of an advanced table..
two among the above are form values..
now i added a footer for adding a row in advanced table region...
when i click on the add another row ...i am getting this error...please check it...i am stuck here since long time..

Adding One Line Code in all tables in Designer Trigger.

I have 300+ tables in my Schema (All tables generated through Designer), I want to add one line of code in the begining of "Before Inset Row Trigger" of all tables, So what is the fastest way of doing that,

I don't want to go and modify each and every table

You'll have to write a script that reads out the current contents of your triggers, add your line to this contents and dynamically "create or replace" the new trigger text.
Beware, trigger_body column of user/all/dba_triggers is in a column with datatype LONG, so you'll have to use some sort of conversion.

Scrolling to next range in advanced table when new rows are added.

I programatically implemented Add New Row in an advanced table.
"Records Displayed" attribute of advanced table =10, so as log as I add upto 10 new rows the table displays 10 rows,if I add 11th record the new record is appended @ 11th position but I've to choose "Next" link on the advanced table to see the 11th row.Is it possible to show the last rowset in the advanced table when new rows are added?
The underlaying VO executes the following code when "Add New Row" button is pressed:

4) int newRangePage = rCount / 10;

What happens if you just add the new row without specifying where to add it ? doesn't it add the new row on the same page as the last row ?

Adding an extra line in the table control

Hi All,
How can we add an extra record in the table control after the user hits ADD button?We tried doing it by incrementing the lines field in the table control,but it is executing the PBO part again after hitting the ADD button.Any SAP standard program will be helpful.

I think you can do that by inerting new line to Internal table that used in your Table Control. Here the sample:
TC_DATA = Your Table Control
IT_DATA = Your Internal Table used for Table Control.
In your MODULE USER_COMMAND INPUT, add this code:
IF OK_CODE = 'ADD'.
CLEAR: IT_DATA.
APPEND IT_DATA.
ENDIF.

Render column read only after save in advanced table.

I have advanced table in my region. Right now, I have col1 & col2 both messageinputtext and adding new row works,
This is what I want to do :
When page loads, render col1 read only, (right now it pulls in data, with col1 as text field, I dont want the user to change data in col1, once he has saved it)
When user presses addRow button in table footer, it adds a row with col1 as input field, but when user is done inputting and clicks 'apply changes' button , col1 in all the rows become read only.
how can I do it programatically ?

Row Level PPR in Advanced Table with Add More Rows Button

I have programmatically fired PPR event on MessageChoice. But it is in Advanced Table with
Add More Rows Button. When the value is changed in MessageChoice I Show/Hide Custom LOV
through SPEL like this ${oa.BioEmployeePVO.EmpManagerRender} .
But it is <b>hiding the all the ROWS</b> not just the row where the value has been changed.
I even tried with this code and get NULL for rowReference.

Advanced Table in Advanced Table

Hi Gurus,
I have advanced table in advanced table , master detail where dept is the master and emp is detail both master and detail had add another row button . In the outer region when i press add another row i can see that new blank record added most of the time as expeced , but in the inner advanced table region it works most of the time but after some 5 6 attemps of adding another row in the inner region it stops showing me blank rows , but i know its added in the VO as if i refresh the page it shows or if minimize the otuer region and expand it i can see the new rows added in the inner region .
i have called OAPartialPageRenderUtils.addPartialTargets in PFR , but still sometime i dont see the new record added in the inner region .
Please help me in figuring out where i am going wrong .

i am able to show the data up to lines (advance table)
but when i click on the show link of lines (advance table), i got this error

Add another row in the advanced table

i am having trouble with adding another row in the advanced table, the first thing is that i have created an add another row in the footer but when i click the add button an error occurs and the other problem is that the advenced table is retrieving rows from the database with some data in it but what i want when i add another row is to add a row in the same table but with the fields empty so that the user can fill them by himself to be added to the same table in the database
