Adding a page name

I want to add a page name to my pages, but I don’t what the page name to change in my Navigator.
At the moment my page name is “Home”, but I want to change it to “Bon Accord Images: Home”. This way, when you are looking at the page, at the top of the page it reads “Bon Accord Images: Home”. But I still want my navigator to say just “Home”.

No, unfortunately not. I think this is one of the biggest deficiencies of iWeb. People want to assign a proper title to their pages and sites, but when they do so, iWeb makes this massively log URL directly out of the name. And then you can't use special characters like apostrophes, etc, unless you want to run the risk of messing up things. It's really terrible.
I hope this is fixed in the next version of iWeb, too.

so from the above markup the name field is not part of the edit form,, i think this is because the Name is part of the Document content type and not part of the enterprisewiki content type .. so is there a way to add the name field to the edit
form ?.
second question, the edit form will show all the content type fields such as ; standard, document type, department , title (display in search), etc so what is the best way to remove these fields from the custom edit form ?

This can only be done by adding VBScript to the form. It would basically be:
Sub Item_Open()
Item.GetInspector.SetCurrentFormPage "P.2"
End Sub
... where "P.2" would be what you named the page you want to display first.

Field "Location of Linked Object" missing after adding a page to a role

I am using EP5 (5.06.01.00). After adding a page to a role, the properties of the page in the role no longer include the field "Location of Linked Object". The properties now only consist of two fields: "Name" and "Location". They used to contain a third field "Location of Linked Object", in fact, in older roles the page properties still contain this field. However, when I now add pages to a role or workset, this third property field "Location of Linked Object" is not there. - I am adding the page by clicking the "Add" button to move a page from the "View" area to the role in the "Edit" area. - I have been observing this symptom for several months, but I can not identify any configuration changes or upgrades which would have caused this behavior.
All hints will be greatly appreciated.

If you are directly connected to the server, just create a
folder in (from what it looks like) Z:\ToExport\RepDocs\ that is
the new folwer name, ex:
Z:\ToExport\RepDocs\NEW_folder and put files into it. If you
are now directly connected to the server, use a program like FTP
server to connect via FTP and do the same.

this is simply because
http://myserver/Myreport/ is
set to point at the folder Z:\ToExport\RepDocs\MyReport therefore
it looks like
http://myserver is set to the folder
Z:\ToExport\RepDocs\ anything you add into a folder after that will
be included.

I am trying to break the page neme into lines.For example Knowledge Management is the name of a page in Detailed Navigation and I want it to be displayed linke Knowledge and Management in two lines.I was just adding the break statement within the page name but was not successful.Any Ideas ??

I think you'll need to write your own detailed navigation to do this. There are a set of tags to make this easier...

Step attribusts= page name dropdown is not showing up

Hey All,
I have a page, inside a component and that component is inside a menu. i have registered that component and every thing is working fine with page online.
i want to create a workflow for that component. so i am trying to create an activity.
i added a step into the activity and on the step attributes i have selected my menu, i have selected the bar name and the item name. but when i click the page name drop down it is not showing any thing.
did i miss any setting any where?
please help me.

Firstly, please make sure default content access account has proper permission:

Page-name change disables Quicktime file. Please help.

I've been using a text editor to go into the html and change the name which appears at the top of my home page. So far so good. However, I recently added a Quicktime movie to the home page. I've discovered that if I now change the page name, the movie no longer appears. Can someone show me a work round?

How to get page name in JDeveloper

Hi,
Is there any way to get the Name of the page we are in in OAF JDeveloper.
We have a requiremnt where we need to develop a custom region in Jdeveloper and add this to multiple oracle std pages.
Basing on page, we need to query the custom region with different parameters.
Developed a stand alone region in Jdev and added this region to Oracle Std pages using personalization.
Can some one please tell how to know the page contexts page name.

To test your suggestion, Created a test page TestPG.
Through Personailzation, Added a hidden Item(Rendered flase) with default value and the custom region CertRN to TestPG.
Tried to get the value of hidden item in CO of CertRN and got null pointer exception. Looks like regions co is not getting handle of Test page.
This the code I added in CertRN controller.
OAMessageTextInputBean pgItm = (OAMessageTextInputBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("PName");
String pgitm = (String)pgItm.getValue(pageContext);
Am I doing anything wrong.

Page Name color

In iWeb 09, it seems that unlike the previous version, all the page names listed in the left hand column remain red in color whether the page has been changed or published. In iWeb 08, the page name becomes red when the page is changed and not yet published.
Is this correct? I like the old way better.

This is getting too weird. I tested 4 times today and MobileMe publishing worked as it should.
Just now I put up a test page to illustrate something for someone with a problem. To do this I duplicated a page, deleted all the stuff and added the new content.
Not only did all my pages turn red but I couldn't change the page name in the sidebar! I had to quit, delete the .plist and relaunch to be able to do this. Then I had to publish the whole site.
Some say its MobileMe, some say its iWeb. Me, I think Apple has to take a long hard look at the people responsible for causing us all this aggravation. It wasn't me - I swear it!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, publishing to a folder an uploading to HE is running smoothly.

RSS Feed + Page name

I've added a blog entry and uploaded the site to the server and found that page names have been changed - from "domain/web folder name/page name" to "domain/page name" - but the blog address for the RSS feed remained as the long version (with web folder name included). So, My blog no longer works - the feed gives a cached blog not updated. My web page shows the blog without a feed button.
The blog address used to be:
http://raincoastimages.ca/raincoastimagesphotography/Blog/Blog.html
but has now been changed to:
http://raincoastimages.ca/Blog/Blog.html
The RSS feed has remained the long version. Any ideas how I can fix this?

iWeb apparently names pages with the web folder it creates included in the address. My folder is names after the title of the iWeb site "Raincoast Images Photograhy" so hence url are given in a long form, as noted in the first post. Somehow, when uploading in the usual way these names (urls) have been truncated, but not the RSS feed.
Personally it does not matter to me how pages are named. What I need to know is how I can fix an error that has arisen for no apparent reason.
I do not use .Mac, and have had no problems for the last two years, until yesterday.

Using Version ES4 Livecycle added master page

Using Version ES4 Livecycle added master page and now the master page is showing on PDF view as a blank page. How to remove?

There is probably a better way to do this, but I found a work around. I set the fields on the master page to "Use Global Data" in the Binding tab. This means that the value for that field will be the same for any field with the same name. Then, on my main page, I have a hidden field with the same name that I can populate with ColdFusion and the value will also show in the master page.
If anyone has a more elegant way to do this, please respond. I am new to LiveCycle and I'm sure there are a lot of features that I am not aware of that could help me.

Reg: Dashboard page Name not getting displayed.

I have created a dashboard Dashboard1 and it has 5 different pages
pg1 thru pg5. I have 5 users USER1,USER2.USER3,USER4 and USER5.
I have assigned each page to a user and all the users have access to Dashboard1
i.e
USER1 pg1 of Dashboard1
USER2 pg2 of Dashboard1
USER3 pg3 of Dashboard1
USER4 pg4 of Dashboard1
USER5 pg5 of Dashboard1
The problem is name of the pages is not displayed once the dashboard is accessed after log on..The report attached to that page is displaying data, but page name on the tab is blank...
Could anybody help me with this information pls..

Hi,
When a single page is placed on the Dashboard it will not show the page name as it won't show any tab on the Dashboard. This is happening by default.
This case applies to your scenario as you restricting those pages among the users.
To just check, give the permissions to the user1 to view 2 dashboard pages instead of 1. Then you can able to see the page names on the tabs as 2 pages are on the Dashboard for that user.
I am also not aware of displaying the Page name when there is a single page on the dashboard...:(

Can I stop iWeb from putting a page name at the top?

I don't want page names across the top in iWeb. I have a list of hyperlinked icons on the side for that.
Can anyone tell me how to stop iWeb from putting the page name on the page?

The script is for the text in the browser title bar.
The title is taken from the large textbox at the top of each webpage.
If that box is missing or empty, iWeb uses a next textbox for the title.
If that is missing too, the pagename is used for the title.
If you want the title in the titlebar but not the large textbox on your page, select the textbox, do Cm-T and drag the font-size slider to the bottom.
Then click the color next to the T-icon and drag that opacity slider to the left (0).
Then resize the textbox to it minimun size and drag it out of view. And don't forget you did.
But I think the OP means the navigation links at the top.

Getting Runtime error while adding Second page in Smartform.

I added 2 pages in smartform. When I worked with single page. smartform working properly. Now I added one more page(i.e Second page) I am getting runtime error. ("The current ABAP/4 program encountered an unexpected
situation". A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSTXBC" raised the exception
condition "ERROR".) When I debug this standard program Something width problem getting on line number 110. Both width not matched so program raising exception. Can you please tell me to solve this problem what changes will I do in my smartform?

Please let me know the details of each page.
Error can occur in these cases.
1) You copied the first page to second. and later you change the width of second page
2) You created the second page and there is template in second page. each column width is not matching with the total width of the template.
3) windows width is greater than the page width
