Adding/activating tabstrip to BP role

Hi all,
we have a problem in displaying BP data set(marketing attributesPHA030) When i go to transaction code BUSD and check whether the data set(Marketing attribute PHA030 has been maintained in BP roles like BP General(000000)role and BP role Consumer(CRM006)the data set(marketing attribute CRM005) has been maintained.
But when it comes to BP display under any of the role like Consumer,sold-to-party,internet user etc i am unable to see that marketing attributes tab strip.
is it something like activating that particular tabstrip ? if so can any one suggest me in this regard.

Hi everyone,
I've been banging my head against this for a while and hope someone can help me.
Running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard with Service Pack 1.
When I try to add the Active Directory Domain Services role to the server it gets to about 90% complete and then dies.
The ServerManager.log shows the following information, I have run the System Readiness Tool - output below - with no errors found.
At a loss on what to do next. The only other links I've found suggest rebuilding the server which I would really like to avoid...

Thanks for posting.
Performed some research and some results say that this problem can be caused by HD Write Caching.
To disable Write Caching:
1. Go to Device Manager.
2.Click the plus sign (+) next to the Disk Drives branch to expand it.
3.Right-click the drive on which you want to enable or disable disk write caching, and then click Properties.
4.Click the Disk Properties tab.
5.Click to select or clear the Write Cache Enabled check box as appropriate.
6.Click OK.
If no luck, Please check if any erros can be found in Event log, Dcpromoui.Log and Dcpromo.log

Field "Location of Linked Object" missing after adding a page to a role

I am using EP5 (5.06.01.00). After adding a page to a role, the properties of the page in the role no longer include the field "Location of Linked Object". The properties now only consist of two fields: "Name" and "Location". They used to contain a third field "Location of Linked Object", in fact, in older roles the page properties still contain this field. However, when I now add pages to a role or workset, this third property field "Location of Linked Object" is not there. - I am adding the page by clicking the "Add" button to move a page from the "View" area to the role in the "Edit" area. - I have been observing this symptom for several months, but I can not identify any configuration changes or upgrades which would have caused this behavior.
All hints will be greatly appreciated.

Add entry button for roles adding activation

Hi,
My issue is:
I created a zview in crmm_contact.
I added the roles tab to the application.
I added the even,t tool bar, tab group field group to the application.
when i see it in portal, iam able to see the roles tab.
Under this tab there are addentry button(which is in tool bar).
This add entry button is inactive mode.
How can i make it active the add entry button?, then i should able to add extra roles to the contact person.awaiting for your great reply

Check the blueprint customing for toolbar, If the inactive flag is active.
OR
You can check in the CHECK_ACTIVE_TOOLBAR method of the model access class of the screen position. In this method there is option to make the buttons inactive.

Adding 'Active Project' report page in workbench

Hi,
I am trying to add a new page on the workbench that should display the 'Active projects' or say i want to display 'All projects' that we see in the project list.
i tried this through the workbench page in setup and tried adding a report but the buy side reports dont show 'All Projects' or 'my active projects', but shows lots of other reports on rfx,auctions, projects, etc so am not able to go ahead.
Is there a way out for this or frictionless doesnt support this?

Hi Patsy,
this is an out of the box functionality.
Please replicate the following steps below to get a channel specifically to view your active projects, all that you need to do is select the default Workbench layout that is set for you and enable the attribute for viewing the projects in an exclusive way other than the standard reports from the reports channel.
Please simulate as below
1) Login to SAP E-Sourcing, click on set-up
2) From the system set-up menu, select Workbench
3) In the list of drop downs, first select the Desktop channel and click Ok, you are doing this step to see if the projects have been created as a desktop channel to be further selected for workbench page layout creation
4) If it is available, just exit back to the set-up screen, itf it isnt created, then create it, on how to create, check how the existing channels have been created.
5) If its available, for the workbench set-up, select drop down option "Workbench Page"
6) You will see some default page, cleck on that hyperlink
7) Click on the edit tab, then you will see two tabs below, "summary" and "Layout"
8) Click on the Add to column 1 or 2 based on how your layout has been designed
9) In the drop down you will see a desktop channel called Projects, select that and enable it
10) Exit the application upon saving and login back, you will see the projects as a separate desktop channel.

Manually added auth objects and Derived roles

If there are manually added auth objects in the parent role do they come across to the derived roles?
Also if you manually added auth objects into a derived role will they be overwritten by the parent role if you auto derive from the parent role?

yes, any auth objects will come across to derived roles when you click 'generate derived roles' from your parent role. basically its copying your parent role authorizations to derived roles except org. level data( if you had maintained them thru 'org. maintainence' button and not adding in individual objects).
yes. manually added auth objects in your derived roles will be overwritten by the parent role authorizations when you click 'generate derived roles' from your parent role.
if you just derived the role menu and din't copy the authorizations(generate derived roles) then there will not be any interlink between the parent and derived roles for authorizations.

Error when trying to install Active Directory Domain Services role

I am running Server 2012 r2 standard on a physical server. When I try to install active directory from the add roles and features wizard, I get this error:
"The request to add or remove features on the specified server failed. Installation of one or more roles, role services, or features failed. The referenced assembly could not be found. Error: 0x80073701"
I have already tried running these commands:
sfc /scannow
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
I have all of the latest updates from windows update.
Any idea what might be causing this?

This error most times occur because there have some language pack corrupted, please first try to remove some useless language, you can refer the following KB to remove language
pack.

If above method please perform the following action then monitor the issue again.
Confirm you have disabled "Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair" group policy.
Try to use PowerShell cmdlet: C:\Users\Administrator> Install-WindowsFeature –Name AD-Domain-Services

sfc /scannow cmdlet and Uninstall Antivirus Software.

Get the active tabstrip in ECM iview

Hi experts,
I have a problem on ECM iviews on ECC5 which i'm struggling to resolve. Basically the iview is based on tabstrips, and in order to make various checks and execute bits of codes, i need to know on which tabstrip i am. Do you have any idea on how i can, from the backend system, get the frontend tabstrip which is active in the user interface ? I have tried to debug, trace, etc... but i didn't find any place or variable where the active navigation is written. I have also tried to search for function modules which could give me this information but i didn't find anything.

The system doesn't go into the loop so i never get the active_cplan. Any idea why ?

AD Group membership not updating in Sharepoint Foundation when adding Active Directory group to Sharepoint group

I have Sharepoint Foundation installed with the latest CU updates. It is running on a VMware box (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) with its backend on a SQL Server 2008 R2 vmware box. The farm account is a domain user and has been given all appropriate
replication rights, etc to active directory.
Everything seems to be working fine except for security integrated with AD groups. When I go to edit permissions I can add individual AD users just fine and remove them just fine and their access is taken away right away or given to them right away.
I can also find AD groups in the people picker and add them to the site. When I add new groups to AD, they are found immediately within Sharepoint, and when I delete groups from AD, they are taken out of the people picker right away. Now comes
the weird part. When I add an AD group to the site, all users currently within that AD group are given access to the Sharepoint Site. This works for the first time only. Now when I add or remove users from the AD groups, it does not update
in SharePoint. For example, I have an AD testuser1 in the AD Group "All Users". testuser1 does not have access to SharePoint. So I add the AD group to the Sharepoint group "Visitors". testuser1 now has read access to the sharepoint
site. Now, I remove testuser1 from the AD group, but testuser 1 still has access to the site even though he is not part of the AD group, nor does he have any individual permissions to the site. Now, I add testuser2 to the ad group. testuser2
does not have access to the site, even though he is part of the ad group.
It seems that the only time AD group security is working for me is when I first initially add the AD group to the site. From then on, it's like sharepoint is caching the members of the group and not updating any new adds or deletes from the groups.
Any ideas? I am lost on where to go from here as I have tried everything from clearing cache files, rebooting servers, iisresets....

I think I have at least cornered the problem, but am not 100% sure yet that it is the correct answer. I think it could be 1 of the following 2 scenarios.
Scenario 1: We have 3 web applications setup on our web server ports 80 - Our sharepoint Web app, 2020 - Our My Site Web App, 2040 - Our Search Web app. We are using host headers (http://sharepoint.***.com) instead of a server name. So
we setup our access mappings (Central Admin -> Application Management -> Configure Alternate access mappings) to use the host header (http://sharepoint.***.com) as the default mapping and the server name as the intranet access mapping. By
setting the default access mapping to host headers, i noticed that Sharepoint automatically assumes that all web apps are on port 80. You can see this by going to (Central Admin -> Manage Web Applications). The port listed all 3 web apps on
port 80. So I think when I was doing a profile sync and using mysites, it was messing with my AD security because of this. What I did was the following. I went to Central Admin -> Manage Service Applications -> [Name of your user profile
service] -> Setup my sites. I made sure that my preferred search center had the correct port number on it (mine originally had no port number), that my my site host had a port (again no port number originally), as well as the personal site location.
I then saved this.
Scenario 2: Our user profile sync had 2 BDC connections that were corrupt and throwing errors. I rebuilt the connections, remapped them to the proper user profile property.
I did both of these scenarios above around the same time. I then restarted all my servers, and at last the AD Group security is now functioning appropriately. I have done multiple IIS resets and server restarts. The issue has only reappeared
once. After restarting the machine again, we were back to the AD groups functioning correctly. Because we had the issue reappear once after doing the above, I still do not feel 100% sure that either one of the above corrected the issue completely.
As long as we are up and running currently, I am moving on to other tasks with this project. My only concern that it will break again and I will have to revisit it is when we restart the servers....which is never fun. I will update as I find
a "true" answer to this issue.... Let me know if any of the above helped you or if you find something I may not have thought of.

"Error on page" while adding a transaction iview to Role

Hi,
I am getting javascript error "Error on page" when I am trying to add a transaction iview to a Role.
when i click on the error it shows
                 error : Expected ')'
The error is coming only for few iviews while for others it if working fine.
Does anyone know the reason for this error?

Adding Activity to Sales Opportunity stage

I'm trying to create a new activity using the DI API and link it to a certain Sales Opportunity stage.
I've been looking at the SalesOpportunities and SalesOpportunitiesLines objects to see if I could add an activity there, and I've looking at the Contacts object to see if I could set the SalesOpportunity (stage) there.
Neither seems to be possible.
Does anybody know how to link activities to sales opportunities?

Adding users to a process role at runtime method :- addRuntimeDefinedUser

Hi All,
I have a requester - approver process where I want to assign list of users to Processor for Approval role.
I am getting list in requester CO and at design-time I have declared Processor for Approval as runtime defined in roles tab of process.
Can anybody tell me how to add this users to this role programmatically? may b in execute method or in complete() method?
I came across with one method which looks promising :
IGPRuntimeManager rtManager = GPProcessFactory.getRuntimeManager();
rtManager.addRuntimeDefinedUser();
This method requires IGPProcessInstance and other parameters. Can I get some info abt how to get them?
Sample code will be most welcome.

I got it. Actually you are supposed to enter Technical name of the action as role in this method...
So when I did it, it worked !!!

Nokia 7373 - Adding active standby content not in ...

Hi,
I just bought a Nokia 7373 which I find to be quite cool ! One of the features I like is the ability to display the calendar in the active standby mode. However it only displays calendar appointments, but not todo list entries or any other customizable option.
Is there any way that I can show also the todo list in the active standby mode ?

There is no way to show also the todo list in the active standby mode.
You could add To-do to the shortcuts (top line in active standby) to get faster access to to-do items.

Error in Adding Users to an Adhoc Role ...

Hi,
I have a requirement to add two users to receieve the notification. I identified the role to which the notifications are being sent.
Now i am tring to add the user to that role using
WF_DIRECTORY.AddUsersToAdHocRole API but i get an error saying that it is an invalid role.
I checked the package and saw one of the validation it is doing against the table WF_LOCAL_ROLES and the error seems to be because of this vadiation being failed. There are no rows in the table.
These are the observations.There is data in these views:
WF_ROLES,WF_USERS and WF_USER_ROLES and the table and WF_LOCAL_USERS but no data is present in the tables, WF_LOCAL_ROLES
How can i add these users to that role?
Please help me out on this?
