Adding body of email when invoice sent as an PDF attachment
Hi All,
How to add standard text (constant for all invoices) to the body of the invoice email sent to the customer? I added text in the 'Mail title and text' section of transation NACE, but it is not working. I'm using 'External medium' in the output type to email the invoice. The invoice is sent as a pdf attachment, but the body of email is blank.
I am using custom print program and form. The same print program and form are used for printing invoice also.

I have to create several PDF forms who will be send to my mailadress.
I already googled a lot but can't find a way to modifiy the subject of the mail and the bodytext of the mail when I use the send button in the purple bar on top of the PDF form.
My acrobat 9 "speaks Dutch and says :

I managed to create a send button "in" the PDF with a javascript

But this has no influence on the top button and it also does not check if the mandatory fields are filled.
Can anyone help ?
ThanksWhen you distribute a form using the distribute process, Acrobat replaces whatever code you placed in the button with its own. You do not need to use the distribution process to set this up. Instead, Reader-enable the form and your button should work like you want.

When forwarding SMS as email, the content of the SMS is stored as an attachment called <primary_text.txt> file, it's double pain since the receiving person can not read the attachment via Z10 since the device can not open *.txt> file extension.
If it's possible, please restore this functionality back to the way of OS 6/7, which put the content of the SMS in the body of email, since I do rely on this feature heavily.

How exactly are you trying to forward an SMS as an email?
You can forward the SMS to an email address of your choice and that`s when your SMS will be converted to MMS, and sent to the email address of your choice . The recepient should get your message as "[email protected] carrier.com
Another way of doing it is to select "Share" instead of forward. Then a list of options will open that includes your email address. Select your email address and the selected text message will be added as "body.txt" and after this, you just have to enter the recepient email address and subject line (optional).
The recepient will receive the email with a "body.txt" attachment that can be downloaded and open in or with the "Notepad" on PC -
When I click on a pdf attachment in an email and open it and then I click attach to an email nothing

I am using windows mail on a vista premium home OS 64 BIT. When I open an email containing a pdf attachment and open the attachment and if I want to attach the attachment to an email I click on the file menu, click on attach to email, nothing happens.
Microsoft came into my computer fiddled around and said it was an adobe issue. -

You can specify in Windows what program to use for a given extension, for instance Adobe Acrobat Reader, for files with PDF extension. In Firefox PDF links get opened automatically with Acrobat reader. When clicking on PDF attachments in Thunderbird, however, you will need to associate the program and the extension as described in the above article.

In NACE transaction, select Application EF , then select your P.O Message ( standard is NEU ) .
Then in "processing routing" parts check that there is an entry for medium 5 ( external send ) , if not please set it with corresponding print program, from routine and forms to use .
Then in "Mail Title and Text" parts you can define your mail title with variable and your mail body . Please find below a sample for this. To define the mail body just click on the icon for text ( it's like sapscript text ).
Mail Title : "Your P.O &EKKO-EBELN"
Mail Body : "Please find enclosed our P.O &EKKO-EBELN....."
That's all for NACE parts.
After this you have to define thru condition that the medium will be used for each P.O. For this check with functionnal consultant if everything is ok and the same that for medium 1.
Then when you create a P.O, SAP will generate a mail with supplier e-mail adress define in his masterdata . The forms will be converted according to your customizing in transaction SCOT ( node SMTP , Support address type parts) .
Of course you also have to define a job for sending the mail .

PDF attachment not getting sent via email. This occurs intermittently.
Hi All,
There is a concurrent program which sends report on Purchase Orders. The report is sent as a PDF attachment via email.
The report is getting attached sometimes and not getting attached sometimes giving an empty email. Checked the log files and output files of the program and couldnt find any issue. There is no specific time/PO/vendor pattern wherein the program fails.
Please let me know what needs to be done to get this resolved.

I am facing this issue with Oracle 11i - US Purchasing SuperUser responsiblity.
There is a concurrent program which generates a report and then sends the report to printer. The report is not getting stored in a temp file in any directory. It is directly emailed as a PDF attachment.
Sometimes the attachment is getting sent while sometimes it is not getting attached.
Please let me know if any other information is required.

Error when opening the PDF attachment

We are able to successfully send the PDF attachment to external email id from SAP SCRIPT:
but when we are opening the PDF attachment we are getting the following error:
"Adobe Reader could not open because it is not either a supported file type or the file has been damaged ..etc.."
Is any logic need to write for the above or any parameters are missing .

Emails with PDF attachment rejected?
I'm having an issue sending emails to one organization with a PDF attachement. I can email them with any other attachments - I zipped the PDFs and they went through fine - and I can send the PDFs to other people. The emails are rejected with "The e-mail system had a problem processing this message. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you." It's a government agency so talking to their IT dept hasn't been an option so far. Has anyone encountered this and/or have a fix?
I'm using Acrobat Pro 9.2.0, Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.2.

MarkIf they are having a problem when the file is zipped, it's doubful that it's an Acrobat problem if you can open it without issue before zipping it.

Sending an email of the layout in PDF attachement
Hello All,
I have written a program to send the layout in PDF format to send in a mail to the customer.
The email is going fne with the PDF attachement in the development box, but it is not working in Quality box.
In the Quality box the email is going but the attachement is not opening.
I have used CONVERT_OTF function module for converting OTF format to PDF format. As per my analysis it is returning the PDF format properly in Developement box but not the same in Quality. In Quality the the data returning in PDF format is not in proper manner. It is giving some junk data with symbols like traingle, rectange..etc..
I am using FM SO_OBJECT_SEND for sending an email.
Can you please suggest me what may be problem?

Body of email is being duplicated when I send attachments and copy someone
When I send emails with attachments, the outgoing message goes out as one email, however, what I type is duplicated. This only happens if I copy someone else in that email (like myself). If I send a message with an attachment and I copy myself, I notice that when I open that mail in a different email application (Eudora for example), the message I sent is duplicated. For example, If I write a message that has "Dear Tom, thank you for writing. Attached is your invoice." and I send that mail to Tom and copy myself, and I open that mail in Eudora, I see that message as one incoming piece of mail, but it has the message to Tom listed twice in that same email. It will only have the attachment listed once, however my message to Tom is listed twice. I am not getting two emails, I am getting one email, but the message looks like I typed the same sentence twice. Now, if I do the same thing, but I don't have an attachment, I do not see the message twice.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.

Disappearing copy of email in the body of all main in sent box
Almost every day, I refer to previous email I have sent that is located in the "sent" mail folder. At least once each day or two, when I click on a letter within the "sent" folder, the body of the email contains the following message"
"The message from X (x=person's email name) concerning "email addressee" has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it."
When you send a letter, a copy of the email is kept in the "sent" folder. If you click on a letter, you can read the message you sent (in the body of the message). When this problem occurs, there is no copy of the email sent, just the message stated above.
The problem, is that the account is not offline, as I have checked each time I get the message. The only way to fix this has been for me to quit the mail program, and then re-open it from the dock. Then when I click on the message within the "sent" folder, the copy of what I sent is within the body of the email.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what is going on? Would upgrading to OS 10.4 fix this issue? Thanks in advance.Hello,

HTML flaw when emailing batch invoices from QuickBooks
This may come off sounding like a QuickBooks question, but I believe the problem is more likely to do with Thunderbird.
I recently started using QuickBooks Pro 2015 (Desktop version) to prepare invoices for my small business. I plan to email batch invoices via Thunderbird in the near future, but I've been running into an annoying problem while testing the batch email feature.
Here's how it goes:
Thunderbird is running one email account from zoho.com using pop/smtp. QuickBooks is properly configured to use Thunderbird as a MAPI client (I believe I'm stating that correctly...?) From Quickbooks I'll use the Send Forms window to email two test messages to two other email addresses I own. (Both messages have attached .pdf invoices.) When I click SEND NOW, there's a confirmation dialog, and I click CONTINUE to send the messages. Thunderbird then pops up a warning message saying another program is attempting to send mail. (No problem.) I click OK, and a few seconds later both messages appear in my Sent folder. When I open them, all I see is my cover letter in plain text mixed with a mess of HTML code. And that exactly what comes through on recipient end as well. The .pdf file that's attached is fully intact though.
If I email each message by itself in QuickBooks, WITHOUT using the batch feature, then it goes through with no problem. The HTML formatting is correctly displayed for the recipient and myself. Was wondering if this is an issue that anyone else has run into when using Thunderbird for MAPI?
Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated! I've been working on this all day and no luck so far.

Hmmmm. So finally Intuit admits that batch emailing doesn't work in Thunderbird! The first paragraph even says outright that "Thunderbird is currently not supported for use with QuickBooks." Yet Thunderbird is listed as a compatible email client in the settings menu in QuickBooks 2015.
Based on my personal experience, I don't see any other compatibility issues with QuickBooks and Thunderbird except batch emailing.

Can anyone help? When sending an email and I add a name to the "To" box or CC/BCC box which I later decided I don't want to include, Mail ignores the instruction to "remove" that name so that once the email has been sent, the name is still included and the email goes to them anyway. Pretty frustrating and I don't understand why this is happening.
You would really have to ask the app developer if there is a way to export the data.
As for adding a printer, you would need to purchase an AirPrint compatible printer and connect it to your wireless network.
By the way, your holiday letter/rant/Idon't even know what to call it... is completely inappropriate for these forums.
