Adding company's logo in the Page

Hi,
I added company's logo like this:
In the PageLayoutRN --- CorporateBrandingImage-- Image URI-- /OA_MEDIA/company_logo.jpg.
But unfortunately i can't see the logo when i ran the page locally. Do i need to setup anything..?
If i deploy this page to the application server do i need to set up anything..?
Please please help.
Thanks

There are couple of things you should note,
1. You should place your image under $OA_MEDIA in the env or jdev wherever you are testing
2. You can use personalization to modify the corporate branding image name which will pick your new image. This will only be applicable for the current page which you have personalized.
If you want to do the corporate branding change globally across all pages,
1. You can rename the FNDSSCORP.gif and make your new branding image name as FNDSSCORP.gif in $OA_MEDIA, this will replace the corporate branding globally.
2. We introduced a profile, Corporate Branding Image for Oracle Applications in one of the 11.5.10 RUPs which provides a clean way of replacing corporate branding globally instead of renaming FNDSSCORP.gif. If you are on a lower version and donot have this profile then the only way to do that is the first point.
Note - There is another advantage of using the profile, in 11.5.10 we have three brnading sizes controlled by FND_BRANDING_SIZE and the images needs to be of different sizes for each option. If you simply rename without considering this your branding might look distorted. With the profile we make sure to fit size of your branding image.

  • Pages 5.2.2 - how to add a logo in the page header

    Hi, how can I add a logo in the page header of each page?!
    seems header and footer only supports text and automated page numbering only...
    I need some advise on this one
    thanks

    Add an image to any page in the section, then drag it where you want it to appear on each page.
    Reduce the opacity using the slider in the Style pane of the Format inspector to change the object’s transparency.
    Choose Arrange > Section Masters > Move Object to Section Master (from the Arrange menu at the top of your computer screen).

  • JSP adding(creating) a image to the page

    Hello ..I am new to JSP and I am wondering how I could i "create" an Image and add it to the JSP ..
    I know this might be a very vague question but I hope I can get a good direction in this forum
    Essentially I want to create a rectangluar band with two colors seperated equally in the middle and depending on the current value I would a need a stripe on the band indicating the position.
    I was wondering where I should start ...(reading ..or an example )

    Creating images is not something that JSPs were designed to do. The various image formats (GIF, JPEG) are essentially binary files ands JSPs are not well suited to creating binary data. If you really want to do something like this, you should use a Java class to generate the image.
    JSPs generate html and therefore you cannot put a physical image into a JSP page. The JSP can invoke a Java class to create an image and place it into a web-accessible directory and the JSP can then include an <IMG> tag in the html it generates.
    If these images will be created on the fly for various users, you'll need to have a mechanism to delete them when they are no longer needed.
    In order to create an image, you'll have to read up on whatever format (e.g. GIF, JPEG) you are planning to you. Writing the code will probably be challenging.
    What might be helpful is to create the image you want with a "paint" program and generate various versions with different stripes. If there is a finite number of possibilities, generate them, name them appropriately and have the JSP put in the appropriate <IMG> tag. You also won't have to worry about deleting them. If the number of possibilities is too large to generate them all, you could study several of the resulting binaries to see how they differ and use that information to write your code.

  • 404 error while adding custom webpart to the page

    I have my solution working in development environment. I deployed the wsp in prod env. While adding one specific webpart to the page leads to 404 error page.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    boreal123's reply makes sense.
    I would say that somewhere in your specific method call a web service, but it cannot find. You can check the related code snippet.
    I suggest that you can try to store the url in a webpart property so that it can be modified easily.

  • I have bought pages and it all was going well until I downloaded the update. Now my files (which are mainly brochures) won't show the pictures in opening screen. So I have over fifty documents and they all show the pages logo on them instead of the pics

    I used pages for brochure documents and copied pictures to them, after I downloaded the upgrade the documents only show the pages logo on the pages from the opening screen. Once you click on them the pictures appear but it takes me ages to do this so they all show. HELP

    Tupelo, there are many, many threads here in the Apple Discussions about the many issues with Pages 5, and the multitude of features that have been lost in this supposed "upgrade." Like Jerry, I'd recommend you get yourself back to Pages 4.3 until Apple comes to their senses.
    So...first off: do you have Pages 4.3 still installed? If you do, it will be in an iWorks '09 folder in your Applications folder. If you bought Pages 4.3 on its own from the App store, your copy of Pages 4.3 will have been overwritten by the new Pages 5.
    If you don't have the iWork '09 folder in your Applications folder, do you have a backup with it installed there? If so, you'll want to revert to that version. I believe that you can drag and drop the older version of Pages (and Keynote and Numbers if you have those as well); I'd recommend that you create a folder called "iWorks '09" in your Applications folder and stick them in that.
    Also, if you have a reasonably current backup, you will be able to recover your documents created in Pages 4.3. Whatever you do, do NOT open them in Pages 5 - once you do, the features you may have used will be gone and reverting won't recover them.
    You may also be able to revert to earlier versions, once you get Pages 4.3 back on your HD/or locate it and so you can use it to open Pages documents. In order to try that, in Pages 5, go to File->Export->Pages 4.3 document and then close Pages 5, and open Pages 4.3. Open the document you just exported. Now go to File->Revert and see if you can find an earlier, pre-Pages 5 version. If you can do that, you should be able to fairly painlessly recover all your messed up docs. Of course, if you have a current backup, it may be faster to simply recover the undamaged originals from the backup.
    Pages 5, if installed on your system, will be the default for opening all .pages documents. You therefore have to do something to prevent that (Get Info and Change All won't stick). Either move Pages 5 entirely off your HD (and to move it, you'll need to put it into the trash first, as simply dragging it somewhere just creates an alias - once you drag it into the Trash, you can drag it to an external drive, for instance) OR you can create a disk image by sticking it in a folder and then using Disk Utility->File->New->Disk Image from Folder. Toss the Pages.app (v 5) in the trash and then any time you want to open Pages 5, simply click on the disk image. It turns itself back into a disk image when you quit. And it won't be the default app for .pages docs when it's a disk image. Or you can simply toss Pages 5 in the Trash entirely. The only reason I've kept my iWork 2013 apps as disk images is in case Apple actually does upgrade them to recover the lost features and perhaps changes its freebie policy along the way. Or...someone might send me a Pages 5 document. They can't be opened in Pages 4.3, so I'd need it then.

  • How can I put an image in the page header so that it will be repeated on every page?

    Hi to everyone!
    I want to create a Pages template with the logo of our company in the page header.
    I'd like to put that image (logo) in the page header so that it will be repeated on every page but it will not modify the content of the page.
    Anyone know how to achive this, or something similar without have to copy-paste that image every time we add a page to the document?
    Thanks in advance

    Takashi,
    Turn off the Page Headers (not absolutely necessary, but since you don't need it, why not)
    Put your Graphic on the page and make the following settings:
    Then Insert > Text Box and make the same settings as for the graphic.
    Place your "Header text" in the text box and arrange the box and graphic as you want them. Move both to Section Master using the Arrange menu.

  • Changing the page region contents

    hi
    I have a page with 4/5 regions. On the top most region our company banner (which is a .gif) is there. There are some other links added in different region of the page. i want to change my company banner whenever i click on the links in the different region of the page.
    How can i achieve this

    That is such a bad idea, unless you want a photograph behind your text which is also a bad idea, making it illegible or near illegibile. jpegs are not the answer to everything. Every format has its uses and in this case jpegs are the absolute worst choice.
    Shapes can have flat or gradient color fills and are the obvious solution if they cover the entire page. Be aware that most desktop printers can not print anywhere near the edge of the paper so you will end up with bold white border in most cases.
    If you are determined to do this you can use a page size text box with color fill, ie one with zero margins and use insets to position the text in from left and right. You can position the text top and bottom using the header and footer which will cause the text to wrap away from those areas.
    The catch with this method is if you need multiple columns, they are calculated from the outside edges of the text box. You can sneak past this by using 2 transparent shapes with no borders but using text wrap to push text away from the outer sides, but this almost demands equal columns absolutely centred on the page.
    Really the best solution is the colored shapes in the background. Be aware though that with some of the pdf settings this may cause text over them to pixelate on output.

  • On my Macbook when logging on certain websites the page only shows some gurbled chinese characters.

    When I log on to my banking on-line web address or my company's secure website the page comes garbled with some Chinese characters but the same page comes OK on Safari.

    Which encoding is used?
    *Firefox > Web Developer > Character Encoding
    *View > Character Encoding
    If an UTF-16 encoding is used then try UTF-8 or a Western encoding (ISO-8859-1)

  • IView gets weird errors but previewing the page works fine, clues?

    I have a NetWeaver Portal that shows two iViews.  Both use a System that is for the local NW WAS.  The first iView works fine.  The second one gets shows the following error in the iView:
    Portal Runtime Error
    An exception occurred while processing a request for :
    iView : N/A
    Component Name : N/A
    Unable to lookup System 'MySystem2'. Please check the system object and the alias..
    The log file has error like (MySystem2 is the name of the system that the second iView is using):
    [VirtualDatabaseException] ERR.018.003.0078: Error trying to get the connector proxy for the model: MySystem2
    <CONFIG.ERROR> Error adding model for MySystem2 while adding EIS#
    If I preview the page by itself, it works fine.
    The iView that doesn't work is a simple URL iView.
    Any clues?

    Ahhaa,
    If I log in as Administrator, then it works!  That is, the iView that got errors, works fine!
    So, what is going on?  Obviously this has to do with permissions, etc.  But, what is it?
    BTW:  The iView that ran into problem was actually a Dynpro app (not a URL iView, sorry, I misspoke).  I don't know if this has anything to do with it.
    I created the iView, the Page, the Workset, all as Administrator.
    The user that the iView did not work for had a "Standard User Role" role.
    So, how can I get this user the permissions to see this iView?
    I am sure this info is somewhere in the mountains of documentation.  Can anyone tell me quickly?

    Hello!
    I have a two page letter that I am putting together for my company.
    I need the logo on the first page, but the next page(s) i do not want the logo and i do not want the indentation.
    can someone help me solve this problem. Know it must be  a quick fix
    I also have the new version of Pages installed as well.

    In Word, all you should have to do (with the document open, of course), is choose Insert > Page Numbers… . Choose how you want them to appear and click OK.
    Make sure to save the file to retain the page number addition.

  • Add company logo to login page in SRM 7.02

    Hey,
    I'm trying to add the company logo to the SRM login page.
    I've been searching in the forum but I can't find a real response on how to do this.
    Does anyone knows how to add the company logo to the login page in SRM 7.02?
    Best Regards.

    Hello Filipe,
    you have to maintain two points:
    1/ appropriate MIME repository for image,
    2/ specify the correct path for correct ICF service.
    1/ Appropriate MIME repository for image
    Create a new custom repository in repository /sap/public/bc/ur/Login/assets/.
    Upload image in this new repository
    2/ Specify the correct path for correct ICF service
    Either create a Z SRM NWBC service as reference to SRM service or directly modify the SRM service.
    Then, logon screen is handled through "Configuration" button:
    On new screen, click onto "Adjust Links and Images". Now, populate "Image" field from "Adjustment of the Logon Page" with your image path "/sap/public/bc/ur/Login/assets/myrepository/myimage.jpg"
    For NWBC_CFG table, find below SAP.HELP documentation:
    Configuration in Table NWBC_CFG

  • Shifting the Company Logo to the right hand side?

    Hi Guys,
    There is a requirement to put the Logo of the Company in the header on the Right Hand Side of the Self Service Page. The customer has already modified all the buttons.links etc.The last requirement was to shift the Company Logo to the right hand side.
    Also there is a requirement to put the company on the Login Page.
    Please suggest a suitable way to achieve this.
    thanks a lot in advance.
    regards,
    Hem

    Hi Hem,
    There is no standard functionality to move the company logo to right hand side.
    But you can do a workaround,
    Take a backup of your $COMMON_TOP/html/OA.jsp
    add the following code
    <img src="YourCompanyLogo.bmp" width="100%" height="100">
    Under
    <%@ page
    language = "java"
    contentType = "text/html"
    errorPage = "OAErrorPage.jsp"
    import = "oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAJSPHelper"
    import = "oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageBean"
    import = "oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAGenericDispatcher"
    import = "oracle.cabo.ui.jsps.GenericEntry"
    %>
    YourCompanyLogo.bmp, should be in $COMMON_TOP/html,
    But you can keep in $OA_MEDIA also, but you give the corresponding path.
    goto your $COMMON_TOP/_pages/_oa__html/
    remove the cache for OA.jsp, using
    rm OA.
    YourCompanyLogo.bmp should be an image which will have your company log in the right hand side.
    And you can place a empty image for the standard image.
    For changing the standard image, check this URL..
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/blaf/specs/branding.html
    If you face any issues to do this please let me know.
    Then bounce the apache.
    Then check.
    Thanks.
