Adding Custom Attributeto user
Hi All,
I have a requirement of adding a custom attribute to the users in the portal. I have read a few documents which gives the followin path: System Administration->UME Configuration->Direct Editng Tab.
But when i go to UME configuration i donot get Direct Editing tab instead there is a tab called User Mapping. I am very confused. Kindly help me out.

Again the link you gave for my original question, it states of a User Admin UI tab, but i donot see any such tab in my portal. Please help me out its really urgent. And for making changes in Visual Admin as you had mentioned, do i have to do in the server??

Regarding adding properties to user data control, i have the following information. But i am not sure, whether it will be helpful to you.
You can add a personalise property/User mapping property into a user data control.
Drag a User data component, go to configure and click the + sign at the bottom of User parameters.
You can add any personalised properties to the user data (with valid data types and allowed values). Then can use the property in any formula.
When iView is opened in portal, the personalise property of that particular iView is used to change the property value

Give a name for project,press Create.
Click on the enhancement assignments button and add the selected enhancement there and enter and save it.
Click on 'Components' button.Double click on EXIT_SAPLCORU_001, double click on 'INCUDE ZXCOCU01'. Write code here. -
Adding Custom Fields to XD99, XK99
Hi,
I have a requirement to add custom fields to Customer and Vendor master transaction which are mass maintained.
XD99 and XK99 are the transaction codes. I found notes on adding custom fields to mass maintain MM17, however did not find any solution as of now to add custom fields to XD99 and XK99.
If anyone has worked on it, kindly provide me details if there is any Badi/User exit/Enhancement point to achieve this.

Adding custom fields to FPE1/2/3 transactions
Hi guys,
My first thread here on SDN!
I need to add custom fields (Document Locator Number - ZDLN, and Post Mark Date - ZPMD) from table DFKKOP to transactions FPE1/2/3 under ADDITIONAL DATA area while manually entering NEW BUSINESS PARTNER ITEM.
The transaction is not BDT enabled and does not have a screen exit. The user exit and BaDI dont seem helpful to me.
The screenshot below shows the user exits and BaDI for the transaction.

Yea i got the functional guys to configure it. Was a unique issue!.....But I know how they did it.
You can add it through SPRO transaction. Go to the below mentioned path.
Go to SAP Reference IMG
Financial Accounting > Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable > Basic Functions > Posting and Documents > Document >
Screen Preparartions > Include Own Fields in Detail Screens.
Here you need to enter the details from FPE1 transaction screen.
Activity Documentation:
Include Own Fields in Detail Screens
In this activity you can, if you have added customer fields to the document structures, include these customer fields in the entry screens of the transaction for posting documents.
For the detail screens (business partner item and G/L account item) you can create a screen that contains your own fields. You must create this screen as a subscreen using the Screen Painter. In addition you have to create modules for the intialization and for data transfer (PBO and PAI).
Activities
If you have extended the document strutures to includes customer fields, and you need these fields in the entry screens for posting documents, you must create the screen using the Screen Painter.
Carry out this step to create the screen and the modules that go with it in the system. You do not have to activate these afterwards.
Further notes
Read the field help for each field in the table. This describes the exact procedure. -
Screen Exit for adding custom fields in Additional Data tab in ME21N
I need a screen exit or whatever other method for adding custom fields to the additional data tab at header level.
I also need a similar exit for adding a filed at item level.

For BADI's,
1)goto to tcode SE24 give the CL_EXITHANDLER and display and then double click on the GET_INSTANCE
keep Break point at this location 'call method cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface'
then the tcode it will trigger there and we can debugg there we can find badi'for that tcode and then remove the break point.
2)Goto to tcode->status->program name->double click on that program will display's
then press crtl+F then cl_exithandler

Adding custom buttons to the Rich Text Editor in CQ
Hi,
I have added custom buttons to the rich text editor in order to allow our editors to add specific content, such as popovers, custom videos and other data necessary data.
I have successfully modifed the Rich Text editor so, that it includes the custom buttons in the actions panel.
I have also managed to make the buttons work and include the data where necessary, when user highlights the text and clicks on a certain button.
The last bit I am struggling with, is the visual feedback we give to the users when this text has associated action with it.
E.g. when we select this text and make it bold when we click on the word B the button B becomes highlighted in the actions panel, later when we continue typing our text and click again on "bold" the letter B becomes highlighted again.
Is there any button related callback/method I could overwrite to add this functionality and make my button highlighted ?

Essentially the first step is to extend the CQ.form.rte.plugins.Plugin in your custom button.

Adding Customer Fields to AS91 - Asset Management
Has anyone added customer fields to the AS91 transaction. I'm writing a conversion program to load legacy data and I would like to add more fields to the Origin tab. If I can't do that, then I would like to add another tab to the transaction. There is a CI_ANLU include which allows me to add the fields to the Asset Master Record, but there's not any screen exits to add those custom fields to the screen.

1. Go to Transaction AOLA.Its a customising Transaction.
2. Create your own Layout for ex. ZSAP.
3. Go to tab page titles and make sure you have all tabs in place.
4. Select tab where you want to put.
6. Add a record in it.
5. Under Groups you will find your screen prefix with U.for example if screen number is 9001 then under group box you will find U9001.
Check Transaction AOLK. Where you have to assign layout to Asset Class.
That will display the User defined screens in that tab.
In SPRO following is the path.
SPRO->Financial accounting->Asset Accounting->Master Data->Screen Layout

Adding a domain user to Local Admin Groups using MDT 2012
I don't know if this will help anyone, but it did me after weeks of searching. If you are trying to add a domain user or domain groups to the local administrators group using MDT, simply go to the cs.ini and add "SkipAdminAccounts=No".
But the administrators accounts page will only appear if you choose to join a domain.Correct, if you were to go into the %DeployRoot%\Scripts\DeployWiz_Definition_ENU.xml file you would see the entry for the DeployWiz_AdminAccounts.xml page as follows:

Most Wizard Pages are displayed by default, and you can turn them off by using the SkipXxxXxxxxx Page variable to hide them during wizard execution. This page is different, since it was added for MDT 2012, the MDT team decided to leave it *OFF* by default,
instead you must explicitly turn off the SkipAdminAccounts variable by setting it to "NO".
Additionally, you would not need to display this page if you were running a Refresh or a Custom Task Sequence.
Finally, this page does not actually *create* accounts, instead it just adds pre-existing user accounts and adds them to the local Administrators group. This scenario is only valid when you are joining the machine to a domain, so you must Join to the Domain.
If you are interested in adding other local users to the Administrators Group, you should write a script to create the account(s) and add them to the local group. Windows 8.1 has some *gotchas* that have to do with Microsoft Accounts, but that's a different

Adding Custom ObjClass to OIDUser Provisioned by Reconcilation frm FlatFile

I am using OIM with OID.
1) i have a flat file with following fields login|firstName|lastName|eMail|organization|status|EmployeeStatus
2)i have added udf in OIM named EmployeeStatus.....it is added to Xellerate User RO and process form as well.
3)created a custom obj class in OID and a custom attribute EmployeeStatus and then added this custom attribute to custom obj class.
4) mapped EmployeStatus in AttrName.Recon.OID.Map and AttrName.Prov.OID.Map lookups
Now i am running trusted source recon to reconcile user from flat file to OIM...user gets created in OIM with value of EmployeeStatus showing up in User Profile.Also the OID User Resource is provisioned..... But it does not include that custom obj class which includes EmployeeStatus Attribute....as a result EmployeeStatus value is showing up in process form.
The OID user account created is not having that obj class....how can i include thatYou can add the custom object class in the Configuration look up of OID.

I noticed that after upgrading to iOS 8.0 on my iPhone 5s, adding custom labels for contact numbers got removed. It still exists on iOS 8.1 as well. Is there someone who is facing a similar issue or can someone help me how to get that back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have good news. You can still choose a custom label in Contacts on iOS 8. The option should be below "Other" in the list of labels when editing a contact. This information is found in the iOS 8 user guide:

Change a label. If a field has the wrong label, such as Home instead of Work, tap Edit. Then tap the label and choose one from the list, or tap Add Custom Label to create one of your own.

Adding custom fields to Embedded Search
Hi All,
I have read the post [here|How to add custom fields to Embedded Search; about adding custom fields to Embedded Search. I am looking to add Employee Subgroup for use in Talent Management (specifically the STVN SuccessionPlanning component) and wanted to know if anyone can expand on the instructions in the link to add this field.
It appears to be part of the HRTMC_PERSON search object connector already and while I've done some IMG configuration the field is showing in SuccessionPlanning, but not displaying any data.
Additionally, I'd be interested in any tips to add information that is not from PA0002 should it be required in the future.

I am assuming here that your search request fields are based on HRTCM_CENTRALPERSON search template. To enable your search to work on employee subgroup please do the following
1) Check if the HRTMC_PERSON Template extracts the data from Infotype 0001 via SPRO node 'Define Search Models and Change Pointer' Extraction Class is 'CL_HRTMC_SEARCH_READ_PA_INFTY'.
2) Via ESH_COCKPIT, goto Template Modeler and select your custom Software Component and press Edit. Goto roadmap step 5 - Define Requests - where all search request fields are defined. Its using these fields Talent search works.
3) Select the search request e.g. 'SAP_TALENT_NAKISA', it would then show list searchable attributes in below table. Using 'Add' button select path for PERSK so that it can searched.
It would look like this once selected
OBJID(REL_CP_P)->HRTMC_REL_CP_P_209.REL_CP_P(REL_CP)->HRTMC_PERSON.OBJID->HRTMC_PERSON.ORG_ASSIGNMENT
4) In step SPRO 'Define Search Requests and Search Field Names' , define Employee subgroup field with AliasSearchField = PERSK since thats what is defined in roadmap step 5.
