Adding custom CSS to JDeveloper.

Hi,
I am new to JDeveloper. I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.1. I have a custom CSS file. How do I add this to my project ? I dragged this file on to my jsp. But, I cannot see the classes in this CSS. That is when I want to add the classes in this CSS to the components on the jsp, I cannot see them ? What am I doing wrong ? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
Naresh

Hi,
easiest is (for CSS file you want to reuse)
1. Tools --> Configure Palette
2. Press "Add"
3. Select "css" as a type and give page a name
4. Press "Add" in the Components area
5. Search and select CSS file and give it a name
6. This adds the CSS to teh component palette under the name chose in step 3
Drag the css entry from the Component Palette to the page

  • Any Guide for Modifying Templates/Adding Custom CSS???

    I have purchased (and, yes, read...smarty pants) all of the APress, Oracle Application Express 4 books. I have searched The Google.
    We need just one, step-by-step, excruciatingly detailed example of modifying a template, for example to add in a custom header. Also, we need to add additional css files and static javascript files. To be clear, we do not want to have to reference the javascript in the page header of every page. We want to build all of this all in to a single template.
    Does anyone know of a site, or even a book, or even a reasonably priced, personally authored example that would contain this information?
    I see people everywhere who refer to changes they've made to their templates. People reply to my posts routinely suggesting that, rather than the Page 0/Page Header shenanigans that I have to engage in, it would be "much simpler" to edit the template.
    How can I enter the secret cabal of those who know how this is to be done? How I ask you? How?

    Scott,
    Thanks for responding. I use your blog a lot and appreciate your taking the time to share.
    The frustrating thing is that I am certain that the process is probably simple. As you say, "the trick is knowing what to cut and where to paste it," Why is there no documentation for this important part of the product?
    It's one thing to request to expense books (or even to pay a couple of hours of consulting time) but, a completely different (and most probably unobtainable) level to request to spend 3 grand and a week out of the office to attend a class.
    Actually, what we are trying to accomplish is much less ambitions than mimicking a whole, corporate UI. Here's all we are trying to do:
    1. Swap out the header image (I am doing this now with a dynamic action on Page 0...ugly).
    // Put in the ICE Header
    var headerCollection = document.getElementsByTagName("hgroup");
    findMeText1 = '<div id="jive-global-header"><div id="jive-global-header-texture" class="minwidth"><div style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% rgb(20, 39, 69); width: 100%; height: 90px; float: left;"><a href="/" style="float:left;"><img src="/i/ice/header_left.jpg" alt="" class="ie6png" display="inline-block" height="90px"></a><a href="/" style="float:right;"><img src="/i/ice/header_right.jpg" alt="" class="ie6png ice-fr" display="inline-block" height="90px"></a></div></div></div><div class="uAPEXNavBar"><ul><li><last_refresh></last_refresh></li><li><a href="apex_authentication.logout?p_app_id=101&amp;p_session_id=674943730496401">Logout</a><a class="eLink" title="Edit" href="javascript:popupURL(' + 'f?p=4000:329:695373120008301::::P329_ID,FB_FLOW_ID,FB_FLOW_PAGE_ID:7048743088564074,101,1' + ');" tabindex="999"><img src="/i/e.gif" alt="Edit" class="eLink"></a></li></ul></div>';
    headerCollection[0].innerHTML = findMeText1;2. Create a new report template called "squashed" or the like where we pack in as much data as possible (think of Access)...no padding, smaller fonts, etc. We want to be able to pick this style for a report region and have it apply these format changes. (I am doing this now in the region header of every page where this is needed...ugly)
    Region Header:
    <style type="text/css">
    #apexir_DATA_PANEL > table .apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA th {padding:0px 1px 0px 1px; margin:0px; font-size:12px; font-weight:bold; vertical-align: bottom;}
    #apexir_DATA_PANEL > table .apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA th div {padding:0px 1px 0px 1px; margin:0px; font-size:12px; font-weight:bold;}
    #apexir_DATA_PANEL > table .apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA td { padding:0px 1px 0px 1px; BORDER-LEFT: #ddd 1px solid; white-space: nowrap;  font-size:10px; }
    #apexir_DATA_PANEL > table .apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA a { text-decoration: none; border-bottom:1px dashed; }
    .look1 {padding:0px 1px 0px 1px;}
    .look2 {padding:0px 1px 0px 1px;}
    </style>3. Conglomeration of common JavaScript into a resource file. (I am doing this now by, uploading the static files and then including a "<script>" tag set in the Page Header on every page...very ugly)
    <script src="#APP_IMAGES#commonRisk.js" type="text/javascript"></script>4. The addition of a drop down menu. We have the css and JavaScript needed to do this. Haven't got this working yet. We just want the css and JavaScript already as part of the template rather having to reference them mnanually on every page.

  • Adding custom css classes from within edge animate

    is it possible to add  CSS classes from within Edge Animate, im not talking about adding your own stylesheet by ex. manually editing the .html document, but rather adding classes via ex. the code window ?, it would be immensely helpful to have everything in one place.
    any suggestions on this one ?

    Yes - you can use addclass() and you can use UI.
    1- UI
    Select elements in elements panel. Click the C button in the property panel.
    Use this for example
    sym.$('.classname').css({'color':'red'});
    2- addclaas()
    sym.$("name').addclass('classname');
    Use same as above.

  • Adding a custom css in sap_corby theme in  NWBC for HTML 3.6.

    Hi,Dear experts!
    (I hope, I post a topic in the right section.. now)
    I use the theme sap_corby in NWBC.
    I'd like add a few changes in the design of the portal.
    For example, I'd like add the custom.css style, user name and etc.
    I've added in the table /UI2/NWBC_CFGCV parameters:
    COCKPIT_TITLE = my title,
    WELCOME_MESSAGE = my message,
    CSS_URL = my css address (For example, /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/zhcmi384_ui5/custom.css)
    Next I open in browser (ie 10) link:
    <server>:<port>/sap/bc/ui2/nwbc/?sap-client=<>&sap-language=RU&sap-nwbc-node=root
    and I've see that COCKPIT_TITLE and WELCOME_MESSAGE is load well, but CSS_URL does not work.
    How to load my custom.css file into NWBC?
    If I want to try to edit the theme in UI Theme Designer.

  • Adding custom buttons to the Rich Text Editor in CQ

    Hi,
    I have added custom buttons to the rich text editor in order to allow our editors to add specific content, such as popovers, custom videos and other data necessary data.
    I have successfully modifed the Rich Text editor so, that it includes the custom buttons in the actions panel.
    I have also managed to make the buttons work and include the data where necessary, when user highlights the text and clicks on a certain button.
    The last bit I am struggling with, is the visual feedback we give to the users when this text has associated action with it.
    E.g. when we select this text and make it bold when we click on the word B the button B becomes highlighted in the actions panel, later when we continue typing our text and click again on "bold" the letter B becomes highlighted again.
    Is there any button related callback/method I could overwrite to add this functionality and make my button highlighted ?
    Thanks,
    Puzanovs

    After lot's of thinking found a solution....
    Essentially the first step is to extend the CQ.form.rte.plugins.Plugin in your custom button.
    Then during the UI initialisation we create our "custom"
    var pressButton = new ui.TbElement("press-button", this, true,this.getTooltip("press-button")); // Essential extend of the button
    setInterval(function() {
                     if(window.jQuery) {
                         window.jQuery(document).ready(function () {
                             window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").css({width:45,"background-image":"none"}); // Ignore the background
                             window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").text("Press Button"); // Set the name
                            $(document).on({
                                mouseenter: function(){
                                  window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").html("<b>Press Button</b>"); // Set the name bold
                                mouseleave: function(){
                               window.jQuery(".x-edit-glossary-insert").html("Press Button"); // Set the name normal
                             }}, '.press-button');
                 }, 100);
    tbGenerator.addElement("press-button", plg.Plugin.SORT_LISTS, pressButton, 10); // element is inserted
    Every time the element is inserted I add the following html
    <span class="press-button">Test peter</span>
    Now, every time in the editor, the content editor mouse overs the custom button it is higlighted in the RTE))

  • Create class in custom.css to define one's own default colors for charts

    Hi All,
    I need to create a set of default colors for bar charts instead of the default ones. I dont want to change the colors in palette.xml file because there are other charts depending on the default colors. Is there a way I can create a new class that I can define in the Custom CSS class section. I am working on obiee 10g
    Thanks,
    Kavya

    To force automatic wrapping as a function of the coordinate x (as opposed to a ctrl-enter), I modified the WrapApp( ) as follows: i) added a keyListener to the JTextPane component:
          edit.addKeyListener(new java.awt.event.KeyAdapter() {
             public void keyPressed(java.awt.event.KeyEvent evt) {
                editKeyPressed(evt);
          });and, added the following listener:
       private void editKeyPressed(KeyEvent evt) {
          try {
             int dot = edit.getCaret().getDot();
             Rectangle cc = edit.modelToView(dot);
             System.out.println("CTP: " + dot + ", (x, y): (" + cc.x + ", " + cc.y + ")");
             if (evt.getKeyCode() == 8) {
                return;
             if (cc.x > 100) {
                insertLineBreak(); // as shown in the reference provided earlier
          } catch (BadLocationException ex) {
       }The behavior is fine as it automatically wraps and it outputs:
    CTP: 0, (x, y): (3, 3)
    CTP: 1, (x, y): (10, 3)
    CTP: 2, (x, y): (17, 3)...
    However, if I add change the component orientation edit.applyComponentOrientation(ComponentOrientation.RIGHT_TO_LEFT), the x-coordinate is shot to its positive limit and all printed characters are no longer visible! The output now is:
    CTP: 0, (x, y): (32770, 3)
    CTP: 2, (x, y): (32763, 3)
    CTP: 4, (x, y): (32756, 3)...
    Any idea how to fix that the x-coordinate is within limits (e.g., it should be bounded by the size of the editor pane)?
    Thank you.

  • Adding many CSS styles to the online editor

    Hello.
    I see that when changing the online editor settings you can apply CSS styles, the dialogue box suggests that only one CSS style can be added at a time. Can I add many CSS styles in one go as I want approx 8 styles available to my client when he creates an email campaign based on a template I have created?
    Any help would be great
    Thanks
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
    At the moment you can only add custom CSS styles individually.
    I'll pass this feedback as an enhancement request.
    Kind regards,

  • Adding Custom Layout Manager

    I'm trying to add my own LayoutManager to JDeveloper following the instructions at http://otn.oracle.com/jdeveloper/help/
    This might help identify the exact page:
    javascript:top.footer.viewTopic('jar%253Afile%253A/u01/webapps/OHW/ohw-app/jdeveloper/helpsets/jdeveloper/developing_gui_clients.jar%2521/ui_paddcustom.html');
    Snip
    JDeveloper supports the integration of other layout managers with its UI Editor. To get a custom layout manager to appear in the Inspector's layout property list, make sure that the layout manager is on the IDEClasspath as defined in JDeveloper\bin\jdeveloper.ini, and add the following line to JDeveloper\bin\addins.properties:
    jdeveloper.uiassistant.<full class name>=oracle.jdeveloper.uidesigner.BasicLayoutAssistant
    End snip
    I don't have jdeveloper.ini anywhere in my hierarchy. At present, I'm setting JDEV_CLASSPATH before starting jdev.exe. Is their a method for providing my own libraries to JDeveloper?
    I have addins.properties, but it is in JDeveloper\jdev\bin and this is the one I'm editing.
    Adding the line above gives the following console message when the UI is started:
    Assistant for com.wb.wfc.FormLayout could not be found: oracle.jdeveloper.uidesigner.BasicLayoutAssistant
    Adding jdeveloper.uiassistant.com.wb.wfc.FormLayout=oracle.jdevimpl.uieditor.assistant.BasicLayoutAssistant (cribbed from other assistants in the addins.properties file) shows my manager in the PropertyInspector, but won't allow it to be selected.
    My manager takes a simple String as it's Constraint. Must I do something else?
    Tony.

    Hello,
    we would like to provide a Layout Manager Support for a custom layout manager in JDev 9.0.3. A short description of how this can be done is provided in den jdev online docs "Developing Java GUI Clients / Working with Layout Manager / Adding Custom Layout Manager". There the javadocs for the oracle.jdevimpl.uieditor package is referenced. We found the classes needed in jdev.jar, but the jdev-doc.jar does not include the javadocs for this package. Can anyone help us with this?
    Regards
    Stefan Unfortunately the uieditor package has not been included in the javadoc distribution. I do not know of a way for you to
    generate the javadoc yourself without the source files. I have logged a bug to have the javadoc included in future releases.

  • Add Custom CSS to SharePoint Foundation 2010

    I have SharePoint Foundation 2010. I am trying to use custom CSS to override the out of the box CSS. I have linked my CSS file within the master page a million different ways but nothing seems to work.
    Can this be done in Foundation or do I need to purchase Server?

    Hi Tory,
    How did you add the custom CSS for SharePoint 2010 foundation?
    You can upload the CSS file into a library at the SharePoint site collection, then use <SharePoint:CssRegistration name="<% $SPUrl:~SiteCollection/Style Library/Custom/styles.css %>" After="corev4.css" runat="server"/> to include a reference
    to your custom CSS file.
    In addition, please clear SharePoint cache, and do an IISRESET, then compare the result.

  • Is it possible to change the color of a layer of a Customs CSS from an External Style sheet?

    Hi,
    I have sucessfully link External .css  file to my HTML page and able to change the font size of the headlines and the paragraph.
    What I am not able to do is to ADD the color my Custom CSS from the External sheet.  I have difined the color attribute as a 'Advance'
    and gave it the same name "#bigwraper" that is has in my HTML file.
    Attached is the color outline of my 'Blank Layout' with colors?
    Thank you.
    Dreamer101.1

    Hi Murray,
    I am building a web site on which the entire content would be changed at least daily. The website would have similar design to www.Helium.com
    The page will have CCS layout boxes in which different content would  be pasted.
    To re-phrase my question:  I want to know how to change the color of a layer from an external style sheet?
    Because my home page 'Sidebar' and colors would be the same for all page, only the content of different pages would be different.  If I want to change a color of my web side pages, I need to learn how to do it in one spot through an External Style Sheet.
    I am amble to link my external style sheet and to change H1 tag and to give it different colors. But I was not sucess with change the color of a layer on which my content sits around.
    I took out the color from my HTML page and gave the same name to the layer in my External Style Sheet with the same color.
    Hope my question and the reason I was able to clarify.
    cheers,

  • How Do I Use a SINGLE Custom CSS for My Project?

    How do I set a single CSS for a project?
    Currently, I have linked (I checked, they are actually linked) FM files. The project is Responsive HTML 5 Single Source Layout. It is set up this way:
    Project Files
    Each FM file has a folder that contains a CSS, an FPJ, any baggage (PNG, for example) and an HTM.
    So, for my project, I have 31 such folders.
    Above them is RHStyleMapping.css.
    That's it
    To map my project to a custom CSS, I did this:
    1) Created the custom CSS (let's call it TheSingleCSS-sb01.css) and put it in the same location as RHStyleMapping.css.
    2) Right-clicked Responsive HTML5 (Primary Layout) in the Single Source Layouts pane.
    3) Selected Properties. The Responsive HTML5 Properties dialog box opens.
    4) Click Content, select  the Apply to all Topics check box, select CSS, and choose my CSS, TheSingleCSS-sb01.css.
    5) Click Save and Generate. Generating happens.
    6) When prompted, click View Result.
    7) Double-click one of the resulting topics, and choose the HTML tab.
    8) Notice the following CSS files are referenced, NOT the one I want:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="Configuration_ChangeWorkflow.css" type="text/css" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="..\..\RHStyleMapping.css" type="text/css" />
    <image>
    So:
    1) How can I replace 32 individual CSSes with one single custom CSS?
    2) Also note that Project Manager does not display my custom CSS, even though it is in the same location as RHStyleMapping.css and referenced in the Properties dialog box.
    Thanks all,
    Sean

    Hi, so as I mentioned before, I have used Apply to all and this doesn't work. The resulting HTML still uses a specific CSS for that one HTML file.
    1) I put the CSS I want to use, Sean01.css, in the top level of my project using Windows Explorer.
    2) I Save and Generate.
    3) But, my settings for styles in the CSS are not used. For example, FM_GlossaryDefinition is defined with a 0 left indent but actually uses a 144pt indent (that mirrors the print FM document and that I do not want).
    4) And, you can see from the actual HTML, that the Sean01.css file that I applied to all topics (see the first image) is not referenced. What am I doing wrong?
    What am I doing wrong? Again, these are imported FM files; this is not linked.
    Thanks,
    Sean

    Hi saurabh
    I too faced the similiar issue
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Application: FND, Message Name: FND-INVALID APPLICATION. Tokens: APPL = ak; (Could not lookup message because there is no database connection)
    RESOLUTION:- Ensure that your profile option "FND: Debug Log Enabled" is set to No both at your site level and also at your user level. To be on the safer side, set your Diagnostis profile to No too
    PS:- I didn't remove backslashes from my dbc file. But you may consider that as an option too.

  • Custom CSS-Applying selected background for all the cols in the report

    Hi,
    I am trying to set a particular background for all the columns in the report(not for all the projects,so that I can avoid option of manually setting background color for complete report.For this I thought custom CSS is best option.So edited custom.css(C:\OBI11g_Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res\s_blafp\b_mozilla_4) file with below code and went to the Answers-> Criteria->Choose Column->style-> check "Use Custom CSS Class"->MyCell
    Code used in custom.css
    .MyCell { background-color: #00ff00; font-style:italic; font-weight: bold;}
    Somehow I dont see the background color applied to any of the columns in report.Can anyone had successful attempt of this Custom CSS.Thanks in Advance.

    I am trying both the solutions.
    User 979493,
    I started manually writing the code instead of pasting and almost worked.In the mentioned below paths I dont have custom.css file,so I created one and manually entered below code.But does it work for only that particular column and not for all the columns.Is it supposed to work for all the columns or just that column.
    For example: I have 2 cols in the report,I used "Use Custom CSS Class" -> MyCell for the first column and when I ran results it shows background color for only col1 and not for col2.I thought this feature will apply background color for all the columns in the report.Please correct me if I am wrong.
    custom.css file content:
    .MyCell{background-color: #00ff00;font-style:italic;font-weight:bold;}

  • Adding custom fields to Embedded Search

    Hi All,
    I have read the post [here|How to add custom fields to Embedded Search; about adding custom fields to Embedded Search. I am looking to add Employee Subgroup for use in Talent Management (specifically the STVN SuccessionPlanning component) and wanted to know if anyone can expand on the instructions in the link to add this field.
    It appears to be part of the HRTMC_PERSON search object connector already and while I've done some IMG configuration the field is showing in SuccessionPlanning, but not displaying any data.
    Additionally, I'd be interested in any tips to add information that is not from PA0002 should it be required in the future.
    Many thanks,
    Luke

    I am assuming here that your search request fields are based on HRTCM_CENTRALPERSON search template. To enable your search to work on employee subgroup please do the following
    1) Check if the HRTMC_PERSON Template extracts the data from Infotype 0001 via SPRO node 'Define Search Models and Change Pointer' Extraction Class is 'CL_HRTMC_SEARCH_READ_PA_INFTY'.
    2) Via ESH_COCKPIT, goto Template Modeler and select your custom Software Component and press Edit. Goto roadmap step 5 - Define Requests - where all search request fields are defined. Its using these fields Talent search works.
    3) Select the search request e.g. 'SAP_TALENT_NAKISA', it would then show list searchable attributes in below table. Using 'Add' button select path for PERSK so that it can searched.
    It would look like this once selected
    OBJID(REL_CP_P)->HRTMC_REL_CP_P_209.REL_CP_P(REL_CP)->HRTMC_PERSON.OBJID->HRTMC_PERSON.ORG_ASSIGNMENT
    4) In step SPRO 'Define Search Requests and Search Field Names' , define Employee subgroup field with AliasSearchField = PERSK since thats what is defined in roadmap step 5.
    Hope it helps!
    Regards,
    Ricky Shah
