Adding facebook comments to large product page

hi guys I just wanted to go over the facebook intergration process *** ive read this http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/add-social-media.html
but couldnt find the container.html page in admin, only dreamweaver.
plus when ive checked out the forums on intergrating facebook comments there seems a work around because the current module doesnt work the way people want it. to.
Is this still the case or should I go about intergrating facebook as described http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/kb/add-social-media.html
What I want to do is use it on this site on the large product section instead of the comments module ive inserted

would adding the script to the large product template manually work better than adding it to the facebook container.html page in the social modules folder?
plus I got the impression peeps had trouble having the comments for that one item showing just on its own page. I want just comments for the product on show appearing on that product page not just any old list of random comments. Is this easy to do now or is there extra url tags needed?
any advice or help will be greatly appreciated

oh just to say this is the code facebook gave out when I pressed get code but Ive noticed different versions on forum pages, is it right to use this

If you just want to keep it simple, Facebook has a social widget system that works from the URL, as long as the URL stays the same the comments will he there for that product or whatever you need.
It is very easy to implment and even has a wizard to help you config the size and look.

Large Product page for Mobile ???

I'm creating a mobile site. I just need a mobile page for the "large product" I can't use a template for the "Large Product" page why.?
This would make life beautiful.
So how do I go about creating a mobile Large Product Page? Can I redirect it?
I'm frustrated.

They dont, they offer mobile layout options.
Many mobile sites you see on the web at the moment are actually responsive designs which use media quries etc rather then totally different layouts.

Adding Facebook comments to your Lightroom 3 web gallery

Dear all,
I'm currently in the process of posting a web gallery into a Wordpress website.
I wish for the ability to add facebook coments beneith the picutes.
This hasn't been a straight forward task.
After following the instructions from Omri Tintpulves page I am still at a loss to make it work for me.
Is there someone out there that knows how it is at all possiable... and if so could they point me in the right direction.

Replying to myself.... I solved the problem by creating a new User Account in my OS. Solved the Lightroom problem and also a problem with Mini Bridge in Photoshop CS5, where it wouldn't open Bridge.

Removing scroll bar from product pages

I need to remove the scroll bar that appears on the product pages. It doesn't matter if I have only one product or 100 on the page with the small images, I still get a scroll bar on the right side. I've tried adding and removing margins and padding, set the container height to auto, and removed the previous and next buttons from the shop templates, all to no avail. It appears to be caused by the table that holds the products, but no change to the code fixes it.
I have included a screen print of the top of the page showing the scroll bar. There are only 3 images on this page and plenty of room below them. Overflow has been set to auto (and/or visible) on the container, the table, and the page.
So, can anyone tell me how to shut off that scroll bar? I can't find that code that includes it so I can't see what's going on.

Thank you for answering.
I didn't want to turn the scroll bar on the page off, but the scroll bar that appears in a div container. I finally solved the problem by turning overflow: auto to overflow: hidden. And smacked myself in the forehead and said, "Duh. I knew that." Too tired and too close to the problem I guess.
The only other thing I can't seem to find is the large space that appears above a product table. I've tried everything from margins to padding and beyond.
Sorry about not including the url. I have used the forum so rarely that I didn't think of that. It is www.whimsicalley02.businesscatalyst.com, just in cases you want to look at the big space on Harry Potter > Accessories and on the large product page. I'd love to tuck the product closer to the breadcrumb, but if that is not possible, then c'est la vie.

edit: i searched the forum and found this:

but both get rid of the "items added to cart" message and both reload the whole page which looks and feels rubbish!
i've decided to go to the shop cart using tag_buynow and added a continue shopping button using {module_goback,image}.
it's not the way i wanted the site to work but it's better than having clunky reloads and js not working.

E-Commerce Large Product Popup

When I select a product on my site and it goes the the large product page I would like to be able to click on the large image and have it popup in its own window in a bigger size like the poplets do. Is there a way to have it do that without having to click on a poplet, just click on the large image itself?

Use to construct the html img tag with an id class or
a js call that will help you present the image inside lightbox effect. You
can have a look at the poplet markup and construct the same tag for the
large image as for poplet and hence utilise the existing bc lightbox. Or

Adding a free sample button to the large product layout?

hello guys
im trying to figure out how to add a free sample button to the large product layout
the site is a tiles shop http://ceramic-planet2.businesscatalyst.com/
and we want to give the customer the option of ordering a sample from the large layout of the product they are viewing.
A sample button underneath the add to cart button that is free but still charges a few $ for p&p.
so I figure the sample button would be a add to cart tag of a seperate product added to the layout of the main product it is based on.
any ideas how I can link a new different product to a product layout.
plus not every product will need this button so is there a way of adding it to certain products? im thinking maybe using the custom tag? can I link products to a custom tag?
if im not being clear I apologise but hopefully its simples

almost there Ive played with the cutom template like you said
I made a template called samplebutton which has a tag_name_nolink and a add to cart button. Thats it nothing fancy.
every product is going to have its very own sample button so I couldn't just add this custom template to the large template as it would only work for that one item I linked it to.
so I added the module code with added custom template to the custom tag field for the large product and added it to the page {tag_custom3) thus able to add different sample products to different large products.
and it looks like its going to work.......until I add to cart and the product reverts back to small product template take a look http://ceramic-planet2.businesscatalyst.com/bathroom-tiles/cardiff-marron
any ideas why when I add to cart the product reverts to small product template and how I can stop this from happening?

Wep app search result show on the same product page(product large view).

I tried the web app search result show on the same product page.
e.g checking the postcode which built as web app on the product page, to check availability to ship the user's area.
so the result show on the same page(doesn't necessary to lose the product page), however the web app result doesn't show on the same product page.
There is only way i know is to link another page.
Anyone has done?

I have done something similar with simple jquery, by loading the results page within a div placed inside the details template.
By doing this I solved all my needs. In your case will work too as long as you only need to show information.

Anybody coded a large product suite using Swing?

Does anybody know of a person or company that has coded a large product suite (hundreds of programs) using Swing components -- whether as applets or as Java Webstart applications?
We are considering doing that and would be interested in feedback from those who have gone before us.
In our case, we're talking about financial, payroll, human resource, warehousing, student management, and other applications for school districts.

* Swing for some heavyweight apps, HTML / Javascript for lightweight apps
Is Swing productive for doing many, many separate database apps that fall under the same system (product suite)?
What are strengths/weaknesses?
Is it difficult to change a Swing app's UI after it has been initially done? Such as the addition of new components or the re-arranging of components and adding new panels/components?
Does it seem possible to productively write a bunch of swing apps without purchasing some vendor's framework product?
Because of issues with browser types, DOM and Javascript compatibility, etc., do you think Swing development is the lower cost way of doing it as compared to the HTML / Javascript approach? (We need to run in Netscape, IE, and Safari -- or outside of the browser altogether.)

How do I hide the comment-field in a pages document?

I'm currently writing a document in pages, and added some comments to my own text (the yellow notes). When I was done with the comments, I removed them, but the area to the left of the document where all of the comments were shown, did not dissapear.
So, now I have a gray area that takes about 25% of the document window, that I want to get rid of.

Showing and hiding dropdowns on product page, based on selected values

Hello.
I would like my product page to show different subsequent dropdowns based on individual dropdown values.
I've managed to achieve this via JavaScript, but I do not like how it works.
As far as I can tell, there is no proper identifier for each individual dropdown to determine which one it is, so all I can do at the moment is to rely on their order in the DOM, which is bad and makes it difficult for me to create a solution that would work for all products.
For instance, if the following is a single attribute:

I would like the outer-most div to have some sort of html attribute that holds the product attribute id. Something like, data-attribute-id="XXXXXXX". Is that possible?
Here's what I have up to this point:
I use {tag_attributes_json}, {tag_product_json} and {tag_currency} to get these values into javascript on page load, so I can use them later.
Then, I hook to change events of the drodpowns I have and then toggle their visibility based on which ones are selected. I rely on the jequery ':eq(n)' selector to achieve this, which I do not like. Is there an option for the {tag_attributes} helper which would make it add some extra information (such as attribute ID on the dropdown) on the generated HTML?
All of this works initially, but If I then 'Add to cart', the product element get's ajax-reloaded and the events are suddenly unhooked, so it doesn't work anymore. For that one, there are two options:
1. I could hook to an event that triggers once the product has been added to cart and the page is ready again. Is there such an event?
2. I could implement my own add to cart using bcInternals.shop.addToCart. I tried doing this, but I have two problems with it.
a. addToCart seems to add my selection twice, for some reason. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
b. the cart info in the top right corner doesn't refresh. it seems it tries to refresh, but there's some sort of access error in the script. This part is not yet fully added to the page, but there's a function that would do the adding to cart at the bottom of the bigger script block. Am I using the built in addToCart function incorrectly?

You need to trigger you script within the product details template layout, or you could add a listener to the product container and trigger the script if any changes are detected.

Why Firefox 25.0 does not show Google ads and Facebook comments and likes. All other browsers do.

I've just upgraded to FireFox 25.0 and I have issues viewing Google ads and Facebook comments and likes on my website (wellfitstyle.com). All other browsers show Google adds in the right sidebar and Facebook comments and likes under each post. Great number of people in Eastern Europe (where I am) use FireFox and I would like to know how this issue can be fixed.
