Adding Header Elements in Jdev 11g
Hi ll,
Using Jdev 11g and created a SOA application. My input xml has 5 header elements (versionNo, ServiceName etc), that I want to ultimately pass to the webservice I am invoking.
Question: How do I create a XSD which will include these 5 Header elemnts ?
OR is there a way in Jdev 11g soa editor to provide these required Header elements as part of my request ? If yes, then what are the steps in jdev, which wizard do i use to include these header elements ?
thx
pp
Try asking this on the SOA Suite forum.

Continuing on my Spring tutorial on http://static.springsource.org/docs/Spring-MVC-step-by-step/

[Application springapp stopped and undeployed from Server Instance IntegratedWebLogicServer]
Also according to the link in step 6, I need to modify weblogic.xml to add given entries. So I add the required lines in weblogic.xml found at C:\Users\Nano\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.3.37.56.60\o.j2ee\drs\springapp\NewProjWebApp.war\WEB-INF
But when I try to run application, my changes are overwritten and it again contains whatever it had before my changes.
Can you please tell me am I editing the right file and why its contents are overwritten? -
Adding Header elements in File Adapter
Proxy to File (CSV)
I donot have a header in my target structure.
I want these elements in Header
ResourceID FirstName LastName Email
Values should be under them correspondingly.
I have used the foloowing for testing it is not working
1)
Records.addHeaderLine 1
Records.addHeaderLineElements ResourceID,FirstName,LastName,Email
Records.headerLineElementsSeparator ,
Records.headerLineElementsEndSeperator 'nl'Line.fieldNames TotalRecords,Insertedrec,FailedRec
Line.fieldSeparator ,
Line.endSeprator 'nl'
Records.addHeaderLine 1
Records.headerLine ResourceId FirstName LastName Email
Records.fieldNames ResourceId,FirstName,LastName,Email
Records.fieldSeperator ,
Records.endSeperator 'nl'
You can have addHeaderLine for only one structure.
This specification is only permitted if exactly one structure is defined.
There are two structures in your configuration: Line,Records
You can add third structure in your target structure say header and map constant values in mapping.
Thanks,
Beena. -
How to create SOAP Header elements using SAAJ??
I am facing a problem when adding header elements under SOAP Header
using SAAJ(api).
I want to create a structure as following:
I get a empty SOAP header obejct by writing code--> SOAPHeader header
= envelope.getHeader();
But not able to add SOAP header elements as specified in example
below. I tried but its giving me error as
"HeaderElements must be namespace qualified"
CAN ANYBODY TELL ME THAT HOW TO ADD HEADER ELEMENTS USING SAAJ??
<SOAP:Header>
<AccountNumber>123</AccountNumber>
<AuthorisationCode>test111</AuthorisationCode>
<Source>abc</Source>
<Market>01</Market>
</SOAP:Header>I'm including this comment from some code I've just written after wrestling with this for hours (I've actually left it on another post as well). The upshot of it all is that you have to include a namespace URI when creating a header in SAAJ:
NOTE: SOAP 1.1 requires that all header entries be namespace-qualified to
namespace URI's. The SAAJ 1.2 implementation requires a Name object with
the namespace URI to make this happen even if the prefix used is already
visible by being declared higher in the document (e.g. in the Envelope).
However, the namespace URI is not present in the serialized header element
as long as it was declared higher in the document. In order to create a
header element without a prefix (to conform to a web service definition
that doesn't use a prefix in its headers, for example), leave the prefix
null in the addHeaderElement() method.
For example, with a SOAPHeader 'hdr':
//first create the name
Name name = env.createName("my-local-name", null, "my-URI");
//then create the header element
SOAPHeaderElement he = hdr.addHeaderElement(name);
This would result in an XML element that looked like this:
<my-local-name xmlns="my-URI"/>
This would allow SAAJ developers to create a header for a service that
only expected a local name in its header elements (as many do!). As long
as the service doesn't choke on the attribute (validation! evil!), this
should work.

I was following the tutorial under Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces
Section 19 says to run application under OC4J,
<strong>19.</strong> Right click the <strong>HRFacadeBean</strong> in the Application Navigator and select <strong>Run</strong> from the context menu to launch the facade bean in the Embedded OC4J sever.
Curently OC4J not available under JDev 11g Production version, so it runs under Web-logic Server which comes with JDeveloper 11g. Please see the log below:

Regards,
SanthoshHi Heidi,
I tried once again to install a fresh instance of Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.0 and upgraded it to 10.1.3.4 successfully. I did all the JDeveloper 11g installation and configure SOA process all successfully. I can create a connection to OC4J using 12401 RMI port successfully but none of my applications are deployed to server.
This message is repeatedly displaying in messages tab:
Exception returned by remote server: com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIConnectionException: Disconnected: oracle.oc4j.admin.management.shared.SharedModuleType. local class incompatible during deploy ...
The default OC4J RMI port is 23791 but in my installation it is set to 12401 when I checked the Runtime Port option of Oracle Application Server and the connection is fine with this port but applications can not be deployed with this configuration.
I can deploy applications on separate standalone OC4J instance successfully but not able to do it with my SOA application server.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks again
Esfand

JDev 11g: Best Practice Multi Field Validation / Reset in a Dialog Control
I'm using JDev 11g and want to do the following (excuse my newbie learning curve):
1. Ability for the user to have a "dialog" form that they can edit their user information such as name, password, email, etc.
2. When user clicks OK want the system to validate that password fields are the same (there are two of them).
3. When user clicks Cancel I want the form to reset and the dialog to close.
Sounds easy right? However, I've seen several ways to implement and none of them seem straight forward and don't appear to work like I would want so instead spending the next day coding want to know if there's an easy solution.
For # 2:
The examples on the web use a phase listener for multi-form validation which when using a small dialog in a larger arena seems like overkill since the entire view will get my event right? Is there a similar thing for subform or subview?
Another example uses a listener for value change, however that doesn't work to well when trying to validate two fields match.
For # 3:
A standard OK Cancel dialog does not auto reset a form within it (it leaves the text - even invalid text in the field). Adding my own button for reset doesn't close the form and adding a reset listener doesn't close the form either. Is there a simple way and I'm just overlooking it? Should I use the standard buttons and somehow assign the cancel to reset the form or define my own and somehow close the popup? There's not too much documentation I can find about using Javascript to modify objects such as closing a dialog.
Anyone have the best approach that should be followed with less headache downstream and better portability to other forms with more complex validation? Any examples I missed that shows this working in a dialog?
Thank you,
KrisHi,
I don't understand #2, so ignoring it
#1 You can set the immediate property on the two password fields. In a value change listener you compare the two provided values and if they match, you continue processing. Otherwise you set an error message and call response complete. Note that as much as we like to provide everything declarative, coding is something that we cannot neglect completely in a programming environment.
#3 You can intercept the dialog close event and in this event determine which button was pressed. If it was the cancel button, get the current row from the underlying iterator and call refresh() passing one of the arguments you find when typing "Row." e.g DB refreshWithDBForget.

JDev 11G Release2 Critical Bug, is it?
Hello, Oracle JDev 11G Colleagues
I think i hit a bug with Release 2 of JDev 11g
Here is the scenario for the bug (the bug happens when using a popup only)
1- Created new simple Fusion ADF Application with JDev 11.1.2.0 without business components.
2- Created a new jspx page.
3- I put a button and a popup on the page
4- Added a showPopupBehavior (operation) on the button and linked it with the popup
5- Up untill now there are no problems when i click the button the popup is showing.
6- Now added a dialog, PanelGroupLayout and an input text or an output text inside the PanelGroupLayout.
7- Added a PopupFetchListener Method on a bean to modify the input text before showing the popup.
8- Binded the Input or output text to the bean.
9- Now when i run the application and click the button to show the popup i get (java.lang.NullPointerException) with the code ADF_FACES-60097.
(it seems like the bean can't see the inputtext which is bounded to it)
10- FYI, tried exactly the same steps with JDev 11G R1 (11.1.1.4) and it is working with no problems.
here is the sample application Download

... 44 moreForget it,, i solved the problem.
Which i think is a bug,, it was something i haven't even thought to look at, because i never faced such problem.
The bug is : Here is what i noticed and i think should be, in all Jdeveloper in general in all releases
the properties of all the UI Components are set to their defaults ,, well guess what only in Jdev R2
the popup when placed in a page its properties are all set to default except two properties:
1- ChildCreation - is set to deferred, which is not the default value which is (<default> (immediate)) --- this property is the cause of the error.*
2- AuotoCancel - s set to disabled, but the default value is (<default> (enabled)) --- this just a note.*
Now after setting the ChildCreation property to its default (which it always was in all previous releases) i can modify the content of the popup even before displaying it to the user (Just like before ^_^) -
Error in package while deploying in jDev 11g
Hi,
I am following tutorial at http://static.springsource.org/docs/Spring-MVC-step-by-step/part1.html . I am using jDev 11g as IDE and its integrated weblogic as server.
I did made index.jsp and web.xml as said in the tutorial. In the step *"1.8. Create the Controller"* where HelloController.java is created, I am getting following error.
Project: C:\JDeveloper\mywork\springapp\NewProj\NewProj.jpr

Please guide me.Hi,
Try as follows
paste relevant libraries to
"*C:\Documents and Settings\YourLogin\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.3.37.xx.xx\DefaultDomain\lib*" path
and restart the server.
[This is the domain library directory and is usually located at $DOMAIN_DIR/lib.
The jars located in this directory will be picked up and added dynamically to the end of the server classpath at server startup. The jars will be ordered lexically in the classpath. The domain library directory is one mechanism that can be used for adding application libraries to the server classpath.

Getting SSLHandshakeException when trying to login to OCOD using Jdev 11g
Hi,
I used the following code to login to OCOD in JDev 10g and SOA 10g.
public String logon(String wsLocation, String userName, String password)
String sessionString = "FAIL";
try
// create an HTTPS connection to the On Demand webservices
URL wsURL = new URL(wsLocation + "?command=login");
HttpURLConnection wsConnection =
(HttpURLConnection) wsURL.openConnection();
// we don't want any caching to occur
wsConnection.setUseCaches(false);
// we want to send data to the server
// wsConnection.setDoOutput(true);
// set some http headers to indicate the username and passwod we are using to logon
wsConnection.setRequestProperty("UserName", userName);
wsConnection.setRequestProperty("Password", password);
wsConnection.setRequestMethod("GET");
// see if we got a successful response
if (wsConnection.getResponseCode() == HttpURLConnection.HTTP_OK)
// get the session id from the cookie setting
sessionString = getCookieFromHeaders(wsConnection);
catch (Exception e)
System.out.println("Logon Exception generated :: " + e);
return sessionString;
However, when I run the same in JDev 11g as a standalone program, I get following error
javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
When I run this as embedded java in BPEL code in 11g, I get following error
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cipher not initialized
I searched for ALL cacerts file in both JDev and Weblogic directories and added the certificate. I used steps described in Invalid SSL Certificate to save the certificate and then used keytool to add the certificate to all the cacerts file. However the problem is persisting.
I added the certificate to cacerts in following directories
C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdev_home\jdk160_18\jre\lib\security
C:\Oracle\Middleware\11g_home\jdk160_18\jre\lib\security
C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdev_home\wlserver_10.3\server\lib
C:\Oracle\Middleware\11g_home\wlserver_10.3\server\lib
C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdev_home\jdk160_18\fastdebug\jre\lib\security
C:\Oracle\Middleware\11g_home\jdk160_18\fastdebug\jre\lib\security
Please help..its very urgent...I will be very grateful.

JDev 11G PS3, where can I find new features in BPM/SOA part?
Hello,
I've just downloaded and installed JDev 11G PS3.
When I look at the 'New Features' list on OTN, only the following parts are contained
-Database Development
-ADF Framework (Share)
-ADF View (ADF Faces and Data Visualization Components)
-ADF Desktop Integration
A quick look in the BPM console reveals a new Activity object 'Call'.
Where can I find a new features list for the BPM/SOA part?
Regards LéonHello Heidi,
No worries, I was just checking what's new in the PS3 for BPM.
But when the problem is solved, is there a way to check what new functionality is added?

JDev 11g - WSDL generation using HTTP binding - WSDL2Java
I'm using JDev 11.1.1.3.0. Trying to create a WSDL that uses only an HTTP binding (non-SOAP) to recreate a web service I'm trying to connect to. My hope is to create the WSDL and use the 'Java Web Service from WSDL' tool (WSDL2Java) to create the Java client code for connecting to the web service. (No, the author of the web service does not support SOAP. Sigh).
First off, I do not see an option to create a straight HTTP binding using the 'WSDL Editor/Create Binding' dialog, (only SOAP11, SOAP12, Java, EJB, JCA, JMS, Custom). So I manually created the binding based on what I could find in the w3c. Here it is slightly modified with bogus namespaces and URL addresses:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<definitions targetNamespace="https://my.server.com/context/"
xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/"
xmlns:tns="https://my.server.com/context/"
xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/"
xmlns:types="https://my.server.com/context//types"
xmlns:java="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/java/"
xmlns:format="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/formatbinding/">
<types>
<xsd:schema targetNamespace="https://my.server.com/context//types"
elementFormDefault="qualified"/>
<xsd:schema>
<xsd:import schemaLocation="MyRequest.xsd" namespace="https://my.server.com/context//types"/>
</xsd:schema>
<xsd:schema>
<xsd:import schemaLocation="MyResponse.xsd" namespace="https://my.server.com/context//types"/>
</xsd:schema>
<xsd:schema>
<xsd:import schemaLocation="Common.xsd" namespace="https://my.server.com/context//cmn"/>
</xsd:schema>
</types>
<portType name="AvailabilityServices">
<operation name="RequestAvailability">
<input message="tns:AvailabilityRequestMessage"/>
<output message="tns:AvailabilityResponseMessage"/>
</operation>
</portType>
<message name="AvailabilityRequestMessage">
<part name="part" element="types:PNARequest"/>
</message>
<message name="AvailabilityResponseMessage">
<part name="part" element="types:PNAResponse"/>
</message>
<binding name="AvailabilityServicesHTTPBinding"
type="tns:AvailabilityServices">
<http:binding verb="POST"/>
<operation name="RequestAvailability">
<http:operation location="RequestAvailability"/>
<input>
<mime:content type="application/xml"/>
</input>
<output>
<mime:mimeXml/>
</output>
</operation>
</binding>
<service name="AvailabilityService">
<port name="AvailabilityServicesPort"
binding="tns:AvailabilityServicesHTTPBinding">
<http:address location="https://my.server.com/context/"/>
</port>
</service>
</definitions>
I really don't know if the the input and output tags for the binding are correct. I've tried <mime:mimeXml/> for both. I basically want to just send and receive the XSD schemas as straight XML over HTTP. Is this right?
Secondly, when trying to generate the Java code from this WSDL, the generation fails with an IndexOutOfBoundsException:

Anybody know how to write a WSDL with a non-SOAP HTTP binding and then generate Java from it?
ThanksOkay, I'll check it out. I know the newest version of SoapUi handles REST services (not sure if that's what I'm trying to attempt) so maybe I could 'ping' the web service using it.
But seeing how this is a JDeveloper forum, I was hoping somebody could help me create a WSDL with HTTP bindings using the JDeveloper tool set, or at least identify if I have correctly defined the HTTP binding in my sample WSDL. Does JDev 11g not have this functionality? -

MyFaces Tobago and Jdev 11g TP2 [BUG??]
Hi I was trying Jdev 11g TP2 and wanted to test the components from MyFaces Tobago, but when I added the Tobago JAR's the design view stop showing the preview of the standard jsf components and show them like unrecognized tags; and I haven't add any tobago component. what am I doing wrong? is it a BUG?
EDIT:
The thing same happens with the MyFaces Tomahawk Components. Is there any problems with MyFaces Compnents?Hi,
make sure you use JSF 1.2 versions of the component set because JDeveloper 11 uses JSF 1.2. Beside of this chances are likely that this is an issue in teh current JDev 11 build. There is a TP3 planned for December, Can you verify if the issue reproduces then ?

Unable to implement Programmatic ADF Faces Tree component in jdev 11g
I have referred to the posts " [Back to programming: Programmatic ADF Faces Tree component|http://one-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com/2007/05/back-to-programming-programmatic-adf.html] " and " [Follow-up: Programmatic ADF Faces Tree in JDev 11g|http://one-size-doesnt-fit-all.blogspot.com/2007/05/follow-up-programmatic-adf-faces-tree.html] ",
The first post showed how to construct the elements in the tree programmatically rather than relying on bindings (in JDeveloper 10.1.3)
and the second post tells the only difference in 11g .
I am trying to implement the elements of the tree programatically in Jdev 11g(specifically 11.1.1.0.2) but no result is coming .
There is no compilation/run time error , its just that the tree is not visible.
Can anyone suggest any key points which should be focussed during this implementation?Hi,
follow the description
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/adffaces/11/doc/demo/adf_faces_rc_demo.html
to install the ADF Faces RC component demo in JDeveloper. It has a tree example. Have a look at their implementation and dapt it to your needs
