Adding Images to Web Gallery

After my Web Gallery is uploaded and I get additional images from subsequent shoots, I'd like to import and add them to the slideshow, then to the Web Gallery without having to re-type the Web Gallery info into the boxes again. Any way to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Only if you use a separate FTP Client and just overwrite the originals with the Sharpened ones. Make sure you are replacing the correct ones or doing them all. Most Galleries from LR generate two or three Sizes.

  • CS4 Bridge - Black stroke around image in Web Gallery

    More specifically, I'm using the LightRoom Flash Gallery selection as that provides just the structure that I want/need. To match my website (still in construction) I've altered the colors in Bridge's controls. Separately, I've added a frame around each image in Photoshop with a dropshadow that bleeds into the background color (again, to match the website).
    The problem is that there is a 2 pixel stroke around the image.
    Unfortunately since the image has a frame of its own with a drop shadow bleeding to the page color as part of the image, and that there's a 2 pixel stroke around the image, I've got a dropshadow contained within a stroke frame around the image that already has a frame. To my eyes it looks rather silly.
    Is there anything I can do to get rid of this stroke? You can see two images with the problem here:
    http://thecoynes.com/hdr/hdr_photographs/
    By the way, before you suggest it, in the color palette options for this Web Export, there is an option for "Border." Unfortunately that is for the 1 pixel round-corner-rectangle border around the thumbnails and image. It doesn't do anything to *this* border. In addition, the structure of this web gallery is EXACTLY like the one in LightRoom and has the exact same results and problems.
    Thanks for any help,
    Gary

    Tomrock,
    Please read the last paragraph where I start "By the way, before you suggest it..."
    In other words, yup, I've tried that and it refers to the 1 pixel border around the thumbs and the overall image.
    Thanks for suggesting anyway, I've spent way too much time on this already.

  • How to get rid of the large slideshow images in Web gallery (CS4)

    Here is the deal.
    I've created a flash web gallery/ But the new CS4 has the option for slideshow with this flash stuff. CS3 use to create thumbnail and large images folders. The new one creates 3 folders: 1. thumbnails, 2, medium images, 3 large images (for the slideshow). That's great, until I go to upload process. I have pretty limited space. So I'm ready to get rid of the slideshow option, but there's no such option in gallery creating process. The only solution I have in mind is to redirect slideshow images to the medium size folder. But thats pretty annoying process during the creation of each gallery.
    So does anyone has an idea how to skip the slideshow creation or another method to skip creating 3 folders, all with the same images?

    Extend DefaultListCellRenderer, not BasicComboboxRenderer. Here's an example that wraps the original renderer and uses it where possible (i.e. instanceof JLabel). No 'white square'.import java.awt.BorderLayout;
    import java.awt.Component;
    import java.text.DecimalFormat;
    import javax.swing.*;

        comboBox.addItem(new Double(1));
        comboBox.addItem(new Double(2.25));
        comboBox.addItem(new Double(3.5));
        comboBox.setRenderer(new TwoDecimalRenderer(comboBox.getRenderer()));
        JFrame frame = new JFrame();
        frame.add(comboBox, BorderLayout.NORTH);
        frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
        frame.setSize(200, 200);
        frame.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
        frame.setVisible(true);
    class TwoDecimalRenderer extends DefaultListCellRenderer {
      private ListCellRenderer defaultRenderer;
      private static final DecimalFormat FORMAT = new DecimalFormat("#.00");
      public TwoDecimalRenderer(ListCellRenderer defaultRenderer) {
        this.defaultRenderer = defaultRenderer;

              int index, boolean isSelected, boolean cellHasFocus) {
        Component c = defaultRenderer.getListCellRendererComponent(list, value,

  • Missing images in web gallery- strange lines??

    When I make a web gallery and publish to .mac a couple of images appear to be missing or are cropped.. its really odd.. everything looks fine in the preview. Also I sometimes get these really strange thin lines through my images.. I usually dont notice them until I get my prints done.. Has either of these happened to anyone? Thanks.

    nikinoo --
    In the past I've experienced the same problem with some web galleries. The problem went away after I quit Aperture & then opened it up again. I then went and republished the problem gallery without a hitch.
    I too have experienced lines running through my images, but it's been quite some time -- The upgrades that Apple has released appear to have corrected the problems. It might be helpful for you to list what printing settings you are using, there are tons of people here who should be able to help.

  • Low quality images in web gallery from Output Module

    So when I create a web gallery slideshow using the output module I get SUPER-low quality images, like big jagged, pixellated lines in place of any diagonal line in the pictures. However, only photos in the portrait orientation are affected by this problem. Landscape-oriented photos look perfectly normal, just smaller.
    My first thought was that maybe the images were low quality in the web gallery preview but wouldn't be in the actual saved file, but alas I saved the index.html file and when I preview it in my web browser I get the same result with the portrait-oriented photos.
    Any idea how to fix this? Other than only using landscape photos in my gallery of course!
    Thanks!

    The same problem here. I've noticed it just yesterday, but my Safari rendering is affected the same way.
    I don't think it has anything to do with the recent updates. I reinstalled my MacOS X Leopard day ago and all the images (jpg, gif) have been somehow in lower quality ever since that moment. Even before I installed all new updates today.
    The strangest think is, that it wasn't like this before the reinstallation. I used the same media, and I have, indeed, the same machine.
    I'm hopeless. Have you already found some solution? Or anybody? Would be great...

  • ONLY 10 IMAGES IN WEB GALLERY!

    I am just starting to use this wonderfull tool (bridge) I love it so far. I have ran into the problem where i can only put 10 images into a web gallery even though i have 50 selected.
    First is there a limit to the number of pictures you have in the web gallery?
    Secondly can anyone help me out there?
    -Thanks Alot
    Mark

    Hi Mark,
    If you are talking about what you see in the Preview, then yes, that is restricted to the first ten images in your selection.
    If you go ahead and create the web Gallery and then view it, you will see all of your selected images.

  • Pixelated Images on Web Gallery - Help!

    We have been receiving complaints from our clients that our web gallery images are pixelated - and indeed they are to the point that you cannot recognize the person in the image! I have tried to upload different resolutions - high (3000 pixels or more) and low (900 x 1000 or so) and nothing seems to change the way the images look. We use bridge we gallery for clients to order from, so this is obviously effecting what they want to order. Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this? Please help!

    I am not sure how to determine that. The only options available there are for Small - Extra Large images, nothing about the size in K. When it is in Bridge it looks the way all photos look in Bridge, but when I actually upload it to the web that is when things get ugly.

  • Bridge CS4 Output Only 10 Images to Web Gallery

    Hello all,
    I have, in Bridge, output workspace, selected 14 imges to be output to the web gallery and only the first 10 images are processed. Any idea as to why? Maybe it is as simple as a setting in the preferences? Thank you so much in advance.

    If you are referring to what happens when you click "Preview in Browser", then yes, the output does only include the first ten images.
    To preview the full Web Gallery before uploading it, you must generate the Web Gallery and then preview it by double-clicking on the "index.html" file which will cause it to open in your default browser.

  • Added photos in web gallery synced back to iPhoto?

    when others add photos to my web galleries, i can't find where they are synced back to on my mac. For example, if I publish an event "Beach" and my friend adds a picture taken from her camera to the web gallery, it does not sync back to the original 'beach' event in my iphoto library....instead its saved to an unlisted '2008' - 'originals' folder in iPhoto. Is there a way so that if someone adds a photo to the web gallery it will sync back to the original event folder that the web gallery was published from?

    You're not neurotic MJM80, This problem drives me nuts.
    I created a web gallery album through ME.com from my office computer. The album shows up in iPhoto under MOBILEME GALLERY on my Mac at home but it does not create an album or even in iphoto that corresponds to the web gallary album. The photos only exist in the web gallery they are not transferred to my iphoto library at all. Very annoying.
    Anyone who has an issue with this should post it in the discussions and send feedback to apple. MOBILEME GALLERY sync should work in both directions.

  • Do I even need to script this?  Adding metadata to Web Gallery...

    I've been pulling my hair out over this for a few days, and apologize if this is mis-posted or obvious...
    Bridge CS4, Adobe Output Module.
    The galleries generated from this are lovely, but missing (to my eye) only one thing.  I'm trying to figure out how to get the metadata "description" field to show up on the (non-"journal") pages.
    It seemed that this was a fairly simple, obvious task.  So the first question is, am I missing some way of doing this without scripting?  It just seems a rather simple function, but I've been unable to locate an accessible option in the UI.  I know that I can choose the "Journal" variants to get metadata displayed, but I really am looking for something fairly simple for general consumpton.
    Assuming that I haven't missed anything, I have been looking at the code.  I'm primarily a Python guy, so JavaScript isn't particularly far but nor is it something I'm completely comfortable with.  I think that what I am really attempting to do is figure out how to access "description" in, say, the itemXML function in the AOM.AmgFlashGalleryCreator.writeGroupFile function.  I'm unable to decypher the nature of the references in that module - presumably I'm looking for something like "image.description" or "AOM.AmgFlashGalleryCreator.groupItemMetadata(description)" but those aren't valid references.
    The point of this exercise, by the way, is to put my time into annotating the images in XMP (i.e., in Bridge or Photoshop) for presentation rather than the last time I did a project like this where I modified the output html itself.  Seems like this would be easier - or are those "famous last words"?
    I think this is something either really difficult, or the answer was staring me in the face.  The gallery output is really otherwise so dang close to what I need, but I really just want to fill that field (only) so as to caption the images I've got for my audience.  And write the captions once.
    Thanks for any pointers!

    Thanks David I didn't know that. I can't afford it right now given that I just spent a ton of money on the new computer but I will save up for it.
    By the way, I copy and pasted my project into a new sequence. It works great now and I do have RT playback for slow mototion, titles, etc. I think my initial problem was that my sequence was NTSC DV and trying to play my Offline RT photo jpeg clips that I captured. That caused it to require rendering.
    All is good now.

  • Adding Image from web or downloading linked images to iphoto

    Has never worked for me and am wondering if anyone else having same problem. Have looked for any instance of this topic and not having much success here either.
    All I've wanted to do is this:
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/automator/example2.html
    I've posted similar topic in automator but realize this is more likely an issue with iPhoto and not automator but who knows.
    I follow the directions of Apples own design to download photos to a folder and then transfer them into an album in iPhoto. Each time I do so, I get the follow error message:
    __Can't make «class impo» of application "iPhoto" into type boolean. (-1700)__
    The script downloads to the folder.. it was the "pictures" folder at first but read somewhere that may not be a good idea to download into same folder as the library. Either way, still doesn't work.
    I'm running iPhoto 7.0.2 now but this has happened on past versions as well.
    Things I've tried:
    1. Moved the current library to a new drive and deleted the original.
    2. Created a new library in system drive.
    3. Delete plist of iphoto
    4. Delete plist of automator
    5. Redid the automator script
    6. Tried downloading pics into different folder.. one other than the user's Picture folder.
    7. The script will write the new "album" in to iphoto but doesn't go any further...refer to above error message.
    8. Just to see if it will import.. I run the import function from iphot itself and it works.. I now have the pics.
    Not the way the web page says this should work.

    James
    Not sure I can help you with Automator but here's two options:
    Hazel (http://www.noodlesoft.com/hazel.php) will watch a folder for you and import the pics to a specified album
    Or
    Right click on the iPhoto Package File in Pictures and go 'Show Package Contents' In the resulting window you'll see a folder called 'Auto Import'. Make an alias to the folder and drag it to the desktop. Pics dropped onto that folder will be imported the next time iPhoto launches.

  • Problem in adding images to Web Intelligence

    Dear all,
    I'm trying to insert an image back to my WI report since the pictures in my DI report are disappeared. And I've found this help

  • Flash (Photoshop) Web Gallery data

    I have created a web gallery using Photoshop CS2 to allow my
    clients to proof their images. From this gallery I want to allow
    them to flag images they like then submit the selections to me via
    email. Currently they are using the gallery just to view the
    images. There is not a way to mark the images or to submit them via
    email. The clients have to manually write down the file names, type
    and email, and send it to me.
    1. Can the function of selection boxes be added to the web
    gallery? I do not own the full flash program.
    2. Can the file names for the selected images be put into an
    email to me using a submit button?
    How are both of these task performed?
    Thanks

    1) Yes it can but you will need to modify the flash movie so
    *someone* will need to know how to change the flash movie.
    2) Yes this is possible but you'll either need your flash
    movie to talk to the server and have the server send the email or
    figure out how to get Flash to use the client's mail program. They
    may or may not have one installed. Here's a tutorial for the second
    option:
