Adding Key Number data to clips

Question

I need to generate a cut list with key code data for a neg cut for a commercial. I've never had to do this in FCP. I media managed my cut and was hoping to just manually input the key code info to the truncated clips and export a batch list or EDL. But I can't add data to the key number field.
Unfortunately, I'm in a bit of a hurry, so don't really have time to learn Cinema Tools from scratch. But we never had a telecine log from the original dailies, so that may be moot anyway.
Any ideas???

There are so many ways to do this but My suggetion is that u create one table OBJECT_ID_MAX in ur database and a class named OIDProvider.
OBJECT_ID_MAX contain 2 columns : First, for holding numbers. Second, for holding class name(not fully qualified)
This OIDProvider will responsible for inserting/reading from OBJECT_ID_MAX table. Whenever u want to persist ur object use this provider class to fetch data from the above specified table. If the data does not exists then insert the data from Zero or one depending on ur requirement. If the data exists then take the data increment it.
This might not saw u a better solution but in this case u dont need to depend on Database features. your code will work on any database and u have the control on Id generation.
The other solutions include Stored Proceures, Sequence(Oracle), Identity(SQLServer).
