Adding loops problem

Hi I dont seem to be very successful adding loops. I drag the folder of loops to the browser and GB says it adds but when I search for them, I cant find them - seems some Loops are there but not others.
The files are all AIFF with extension of both .aif and .aiff. The files are listed in the finder in library>>audio>>apple loops>>user loops but dont come up in the browser.
I restarted garageband to reload but that didnt help.
Strangely loops which are in one folder seem to appear in the wrong loop browser as well.
Thanks in advance

The loops have to be in the same measure as your current piece (most of them are 4/4), and if you have "filtering" checked near "keyword browsing" in the Prefs, GB will only show you loops whose key is not more than 2 semitones off of your song's key.

  • Adding loops and loops format question

    Hi, i've been facing difficulties adding loops into my GB. My problem is: "Loops do not appear in my loop browser nor the loop list from the silver loop bar above the browser".
    Yes, forgive me for asking this repeated question but after checking the help tutorial, my personal GB guide books, and even HangTime's FAQ, sadly, i still dont find any answers.
    Generally, the procedure is pretty simple from all the sources i've read. Simply drag the folder or loops into the browser and thats DONE right? I did exactly what it said but sigh...maybe there's something wrong with my Macbook?
    For your information, all the loops that i've been adding are loops from CDs coupled with FutureMusic and ComputerMusic magazines, so i believe the sources are pretty reliable i hope.
    As i was struggling to add the loops, this msg popped up for the first time; "Loops that are not in Apple format will not be added into GB"
    So, is the loop format the main cause of my problem?
    if yes, is there any way to convert the format? what is the procedure?
    ps: My current status is, some loops i added are in my browser while some dont although they exist in User/Library/Audio/AppleLoops/UserLoops.
    Thank you in advance.
    Peace

    So, is the loop format the main cause of my problem?
    likely.

  • Value-added tax problem about free goods!

    Hi All,
    I've got a value-added tax problem.....
    Can anyone can come out with a solution.
    Here is the Business Scenario....
    One product company offen give some free goods to its customer company for test or probation. In pricing, the free goods have no income so that the value-added tax is zero, but by the law, the product company must pay the VAT(value-added tax) base on the cost of the free goods.
    How to implement this in SD R/3 Scenario...
    Can any one of you suggest me a solution for this plz..
    Regards,
    wang-yuzhen.

    Hi,
    You need to bring in a consition type "VPRS" in your pricing procedure. The VAT will be determined based on this condition type. VPRS is a statistical condition type. That means eventhough it appears with a value it will potentially not be displayed in your invoice. The invoice value will be 0 and there will be no account posting for this condition type

  • Adding loops to the loop browser.

    I'm using mac os 10.4.11. I have placed all my loops on an external hard drive.
    1) Are only apple loops allowed to be added or aiff loops in general as well?
    2) when adding loops to the loop browser should one add an entire folder if they are in a folder or just the files within a folder? I added a folder of flutes but can not find flutes anywhere in the loop browser file list.
    3) As I didn't want the loops within the jam pack voices, and rhythm section installer packages to be added to garageband I removed the loops folders from the packages, and dropped them onto the loop browser. When looking in the jam pack management it shows the rhythm section but not the voices. When I again attempted to drop the voices folder it said it was already there, although I still can't see it.
    4) Once I understand how to do this correctly should I trash the loop browser apple loops index file and re-drop all the loops on the browser again to get everything cataloged correctly?
    Thank you,
    Robert

  • Not the usual 'login loop' problem, help.

    The login loop problem I'm facing is not the usual login loop problem when starting up mac; it's when I'm trying to log into websites or applications (most of them, eg. facebook, instagram).
    I have tried:
    using other browsers: Safari, Firefox, Maxthon, Chrome
    clearing all cookies / caches / keychains / passwords

    All to no avail.
    How do I solve this without having to reformat/install mac?

    That loop will loop until readLine() returns null, which will only happen when the other end closes its end of the connection, and it will block while no data is available.

  • Sony D-50 "boot-up loop" problem

    I have a Sony D-50 portable recorder barely three months old that did something totally strange. Has anyone else had this problem?
    During a shoot yesterday, I noticed that the Sony D50 I bought back in August would not turn OFF.
    When I moved the power switch to the OFF position, the machine went into a "boot up loop," that is:
    I'd turn it OFF after recording.
    Screen goes black.
    I get the "See you!" message.
    Screen lights up again.
    The word "SONY" appears as though it's gonna boot up,
    Then the whole process starts over again
    Screen goes black.
    I get the "See you!" message.
    Screen lights up.
    The word "SONY" appears as though it's gonna boot up....
    So, same thing late last night.
    I get up this morning and turn it ON; it works fine until I turn it off, then it goes back into the "boot loop" thing again.
    I tried everything I could think of, even searching for a "RESET" on the machine and in the Menu. I finally had to take the batteries out of it to shut it down.
    Then, I did something that apparently---so far---fixed it.
    This is so strange---right out of the Twilight Zone:
    I put the batteries back in it, then it starts the loop again.
    Since it won't turn OFF, I take the batteries out of it in the OFF position. I wait five minutes and put the batteries back in it with it in the OFF position.
    Same problem---the "boot up loop" thing.
    I take the batteries back out of it again in the OFF position and wait fifteen minutes. I put the batteries back in it while it's still in the OFF position. Guess what?
    Problem solved: It's doesn't start the "boot up loop" thing.
    So, I turn it back ON. Machine boots up fine and is ready to record.
    OK, I turn it OFF.
    Back to the exact same problem---It shuts down and goes into the "boot up loop" again.
    I go back through the same process of removing and installing the batteries with the machine in the OFF position.
    Nothing changes.
    Then, I have an idea.
    With the machine in the OFF position and going through the "boot up loop" thing, I remove the batteries.
    I then move the power switch to the ON position before I put the batteries back in it---had not tried that before: reinstalling the batteries with it in the ON position. I install the batteries with the machine in the ON position.
    Machine boots up fine and is ready for recording.
    Now, I turn it OFF.
    The machine shuts down fine with no "boot up loop" problem.
    Putting the batteries back in the machine with it in the ON position instead of the OFF position apparently solved the problem.
    So, I turn it back ON and then OFF several times.
    Same thing: No "boot up loop" problem.
    Do-do-Do-do....
    The machine now works fine.
    Anyone ever had this happen to a Sony D-50?
    I'm wondering if I should send it to back to Sony before it does this again. For God's sake, it's only three months old!
    I bought it after rave reviews in the "recorder" community, and I haven't found anyone else who has had this problem with one..

  • Possible solution to "Looping" problem

I happened upon this because I could not get a stable system out of my MSI via-km266 mobo with dual display.

  • Problems with adding loops

    Hey I had my Mac for awhile now (Mac Mini) and I just upgraded to Leopard a few day ago. I'm having problems transferring loops onto the loop index..I tried the drag and drop and sometimes only a few get through but not all. And when I try again a prompt comes up saying there is already a folder with that name...etc. Is there a solution to get all of my loops onto the loop index. Im pretty new to GB and I dont know the best way..help plz!

    If you want to record multiple audio tracks, you have to shift-click on each record button and make sure both are on different inputs.

  • Problem Adding Loops to GB 5.1

    I'm adding .aiff loops to GB 5.1.  I see the scroll and message, indicating they are being added, but when I search for them, most are missing.  What am I doing wrong?  Running Snow Leopard.  Thanks...

    ISBEGINNING is a required property into SAP BPC 7.0 it is used to do the calculation of measures.
    If you are doing a migration from 5.1 to 7.0 you just have to do maintain dimension properties for Time dimension - click Modify dimension properties without doing any change.
    This will create automatically ISBEGINNING property for Time dimension.
    You have to open your time dimension and to add a new column ISBEGINNING.
    You have to add 1 for any Month and Quarter for your fiscal year.
    Like Year.Jan or Year.Q1.
    After that processing your cube will be fine if the other dimensions are correct.

  • F?r loop problem

    Hi!
    I try to solv this problem: I want to add two numbers. (a=0, b=1), sum =a+b. Tha next time the program puts
    b in a and sum i b.
    a=b;
    b=sum;
    like this:
    ------------: a-------b---------sum
    first time: 0--------1---------1
    sec time: 1--------1--------- 2
    3:th time: 1--------2--------- 3
    4:th time: 2------- 3--------- 5
    but my code dose not work:I do not want to use array.
          public static void main (String[]args)
               int a=0;
               int b=1;
               int sum=a+b;
               System.out.println("-"+a+" - "+b+" - "+sum);
               for(int i=1; i<10; i++){
                    sum=a+b;
                    a=b;
                    b=sum;
                    System.out.println("-"+a+" - "+b+" - "+sum);
    }

    Your summing things up twice in the beginning:
    public static void main (String[]args)
      int a=0;
      int b=1;
      int sum=a+b; // adding them here #1
      System.out.println("-"+a+" - "+b+" - "+sum);
      for(int i=1; i<10; i++){
        sum=a+b;  // and adding them again here, #2Rather, add them only once, probably in the loop:
    public static void main (String[]args)
      int a = 0;
      int b = 1;
      int sum = 0; // declare sum but don't add
      System.out.println("-"+a+" - "+b+" - "+sum);
      for(int i = 1; i < 10; i++){
        sum = a + b;  // just do summing here

  • Background Loop Problem.

    Hey all,
    I'm working on a flash game with a movie clip that is constantly looping always displayed on the screen.
    Unfortunately every time the image in the animation changes, the screen very noticably stutters. It's like every time a new image in the animation is loaded it causes considerable slow down.
    I've tried a lot of things including Lowering the quality of all the images involved to 0. The images are PNG graphics with transparencies , but no transparency settings or display options were added in flash.
    Is it wrong to have slapped a continuously looping movie clip on stage? What are my alternatives?
    This slowdown occurs when run on Iphone touch, not on my PC
    Flash CS5.5
    Sorry, I'm a little inexperienced but I hope I've made the problem clear.
    Thanks in advance guys,
    Mark

    because mobiles are such weak computing devices, it is easy to overwhelm their cpu/gpu.
    that said, optimizing your code for use on mobiles can lead to dramatic differences.  in addition, cs6 produces much better perfoming iApps than cs5.5 (which was much better than cs5).
    so, the simplest thing to do is use cs6.  otherwise, you'll probably need to learn some optimization techniques.  here's a good place to start:  http://help.adobe.com/en_US/as3/mobile/flashplatform_optimizing_content.pdf

  • Delay loop problem

    You could also delay the start of the loop by 2000ms. There are many possibilities, here are two more. The rest of the code will dictate the best way to do this.
    The secret is in dataflow and data dependency. Use execution highlighting to get a better understanding of it all.

  • Small Looping Problem

    Alright here's the prob. I have an assignment to create a method using if/else statements. Extra credit is given if a loop is added. The if/else works fine and the loop pretty much does too. The only problem is when the sentinel value is entered, I get a String that I don't want to appear, "Temperature is out of range."
    Heres the code:
    import java.util.Scanner;
    public class LabAssign8
         public static void main( String [ ] args )
              final int SENTINEL = 999;
              int temp;
              System.out.print( "Enter a temperature > " );
              Scanner scan = new Scanner( System.in );
              temp = scan.nextInt( );
              LabAssign8.findSeason( temp );
              while ( temp != SENTINEL )
                   System.out.print( "Enter a temperature > " );
                   temp = scan.nextInt( );
                   LabAssign8.findSeason( temp );
              System.out.println( "Sentinel value detected, ending program." );
         public static void findSeason( int temp )
              if ( temp > 115 || temp < -15 )
                   System.out.println( "The temperature is out of range" );
              else if ( temp >= 80 )
                   System.out.println( "It is probably summer." );
              else if ( temp >= 60 )
                   System.out.println( "It is probably spring." );
              else if ( temp >= 40 )
                   System.out.println( "It is probably fall." );
              else
                   System.out.println( "It is probably winter." );
    So when the user enters 999, I want the only output to be: "Sentinel value detected, ending program."
    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    I don't know why it posted that way, that isn't how it looks in my IDE. It doesn't look like anything is missing, I'll post the code and the compiler errors.

  • Perpetual loop problems :'(

    I'm having problems.. What I want this piece of code to do is
    - check if current token is WRITE
    - if it is check to see if the next token starts with a "
    - if it does, print whats inside the "
    - if it doesn't, just print "VARIABLE"
    however... the code below gives me a perpetual loop. Can anyone push me in the write direction?
    if (currentToken.equalsIgnoreCase("WRITE"))
        String newTok = lineTok.nextToken();
        while (lineTok.hasMoreTokens())
              if (newTok.startsWith("\"") == false)
                  System.out.println("VARIABLE");
              else if (newTok.startsWith("\""))
                 String tok = newTok.replace("\"","");
                 System.out.print(tok+" ");

    This is exactly what you need. I added a lineTok.nextToken() inside the loop. I also optimized your algorithm just a little bit, removing one of the startsWith() calls, which are not always cheap.
    if (currentToken.equalsIgnoreCase("WRITE"))
      String newTok = lineTok.nextToken();
      while (lineTok.hasMoreTokens())
        if (newTok.startsWith("\""))
          String tok = newTok.replace("\"","");
          System.out.print(tok+" ");
        else
          System.out.println("VARIABLE");
        newTok = lineTok.nextToken();
    }If this helps, please dish out some of those Duke Dollars you offered up.
